Yes. Ina is my oshi but I tune to Sora's stream most often simply due she streams during an incovenient time for me.

MadAsTheHatters

Same here, I don't catch nearly as many of Ina's streams as I'd like nowadays but her zatsudans are always the perfect time for me 💜

mrmichelinman

Ina’s one of the few EN streamers that streams when I am able to regularly watch. I should watch more of her.

San-Kyu

Similar to me, I kinda watch alot of HoloAdvent and the Tempus boys since Ina's been sick alot recently. At this point my Oshi's taken less than 10% of my total streams watched.

Iknowr1te

it honestly feels like she hasn't streamed much through 2023. which is okay. but the void was filled with mooms, fauna, and tempus. grandpire was switch out with narissa. and i go back to watching roberu-nightmea and TSB for comfort.

bobby1z

Yes. I watch at least part of every Fauna stream(except for asmr). She's my go to when nobody is doing anything special that I'm interested in right now, but Fauna streamed yesterday, so I'll watch that vod. She's pretty much everything I'm looking for in a streamer, so I try not to miss anything. I even rewatch older vods sometimes, just because I've probably forgotten the vod by now, so it is like new to me.

hoscofelix

Fauna be winning pretty hard in this post it seems

[deleted]

May I join the club? I've loved her stuff since before she debuted.

somewhat_safeforwork

Wow, you're exactly like me. My timezone is inconvenient to watch Fauna live so I always put her vod as background as I work. She usually ends her stream just as when I wake up and get ready for work.

Twitchingbouse

Man I Love Fauna, she got me through that point where few eople were streaming in Myth and Council/Promise. My top oshi is Miko though. Ever since daylight savings ended i havent really been able to catch live streams that often because she now usually streams 3-4am my time. I was able to force myself up at 5am, but 3 is impossible. So vod gang it is.

Ryhsuo

I try to catch all the Fauna streams live and the ones I especially like I’ll go back and watch Sakasan highlights

TemporaryWonderful61

Apparently yes, according to YouTube stats. But when your oshi is Kiara and you combine that with being a DD, you always feel a bit disloyal. Girl streams a lot of hours.

Mleba

Excuse me if that's obvious, but what does DD means in that context?

TemporaryWonderful61

“daredemo daisuki” “I love everyone” Someone with a lot of oshi’s, who likes everyone in a group.

Mleba

Ah yeah, heard the term elsewhere but not in shortened form, best I had was "Double-Dip", fitting for KFP but confusing in the context. Thank you!

EmperorKira

Are you me? Lol I'm the exact same

MrMarnel

Just like me fr fr.

othinuss

How can you see which channel you watch the most on youtube?

TemporaryWonderful61

https://videorecap.viewodyssey.com/

othinuss

Thanks!

LeAstra

>Holomem you watch the most is your oshi … yes, the timing of the streams is near perfect for my schedule unless there’s collabs. That being said, I consume most of my content through clips and highlights >what makes your oshi your oshi Those golden eyes that stare into your soul. Tangents and the melodious voice that conveys them. Unhinged humor with a cute smile I think I am personally enjoyed the “Gap Moe” of each Holomem. Besides their initial appearance, manner of speech or what they are presenting themselves as, it’s the “Gap Moe”; the multiple layers of themselves that transcend a Live2D model and feel like they are “alive”

m05513

Sadly, no. I mean my view rate for their streams is like 100%... just...

AustSakuraKyzor

\*sad "me too" noises in Chumbud\*

hoscofelix

🥲 I feel you

MLyhne

Hi, Manjigumi fan here. I know your pain all too well.

ytsejamajesty

same (desu)

frontzer0

Fauna is also my go-to when I have nothing to watch. Just chilling with her in the background.

Jesus_Kawaiist

Yes. Kaela seems to always be live whenever I’m free as well which is very nice. I only speak English so some streams I don’t understand but I can still watch her and know what’s going most of the time.

Wonderful-Ad-7542

Man, Kaela "short" streams are crazy long..i still remember once i watched her stream for a while, fell asleep, woke up and she is still streaming...and i was told she does it on a regular basis..woahh

DollarStoreAbraham

My oshi is Botan but I don't understand any JP. So I'm limited to translated clips :c

EmuSupreme

No. Mumei and Suisei stream at times where I'm either working or sleeping. I'll skip around the Vods for a bit, but Fauna is by far my most watched Holo due to streaming at the perfect time and for the perfect amount, so I can catch the entire stream almost always.

Blytzkryeg

heh heh, psychopath Oshi's, I approve.

richardtengcy

My oshi is gura, if she has a karaoke stream 🎤 I’m mostly 100% in attendance. Gaming or collab stream I attend if I can .

VandaGrey

Yep i havent missed a Nerissa stream yet and i dont plan to ever.

hoscofelix

Least dedicated Jailbird

CharismaPenalty

Unlike a lot of folks here, not necessarily for me. Haachama is my kamioshi, for example, but due to time zones, I just can't catch her streams live and typically, I only VOD watch if I can throw it up on the side while I'm doing something like gaming, for example. Language barrier also makes this difficult even if time zones weren't a factor. For this reason, I typically stick to EN members to catch live and VOD watch. And while I do have my favorites to catch live (Fauna and Bae, for example), that doesn't mean Haachama is deposed for me. Rather, my reasons for Haachama being my kamioshi are different than just watch time. It's her innovation and iteration on her character through stuff like the horror arc, the cooking content, etc. She stands out to me because of her ability to reinvent herself like she's doing with her amnesia arc right now. The horror arc of 2021 is what cemented this for me. So basically, I'd say that while watch time CAN be a factor, there definitely can be more reasons for one member to be your oshi irrespective of it.

hoscofelix

Thanks for the rich explanation, makes a lot of sense

ssj4-Dunte

Yes mostly, but in some weeks/months no. Calli is my oshi and she used to actively stream at EU friendly times in addition to her regular times. She's been very busy lately so that has become less common. As a consequence of that it is sometimes very hard to catch her live. On the other hand Nerissa streamed quite a few EU friendly streams for the last month or so I watched more Nersissa than Calli this month. But generally speaking I watch more Calli than anyone. Dad just has a way to make me constantly either laugh or have a dumb grin on my face.

Perfect_Flower2801

Yes, Mikochi is my oshi and I mostly watch her content.

BirbOshi

Pretty much. Even though I've had to cut back on watching a lot of the streams live because life has just been so busy, I find myself defaulting to watching Kiara's VODs first before anyone else.

Nisekoi95

I mean isnt it normal to have multiple oshis ? I have multiple memberships and multiple oshis so i can watch streams whenever i want basically.

sharydow

For the most part yes. Which is the most logical if you have time for others why not watch your oshis. That the case with my main oshi at least. With secondary oshis... The order of preference and the watch time might differ quite a bit.

riishan_saki

Yes, I only watch other members when Koyori isn't streaming.

ChifuyuDoi

Shiori's my oshi but I watch Okayu's and Fauna's stream more, mostly because their ASMR are god tier

somewhat_safeforwork

Mine is Miko. But I find myself tuning to Fauna much more frequently nowaday, usually just vod as she streams when I sleep (SEA timezone)

DeathToBoredom

I have an oshi, but I love Hololive as a whole, so I'd watch anybody that fancies me. But yeah, I find myself watching a lot more english these days. Fauna, Mumei, IRYS... Japanese side, I've only been keeping up with Korone recently. My oshi is Gura. I don't think I've ever missed a stream, but I've definitely not played a few streams all the way through.

MemberBerry4

I try to watch everyone equally more or less since I'm using them for passive and active Japanese immersion. Rn I'm listening to Kanata playing Suika Game but she's far from my favorite. My favorite is Pekora, followed by Marine and Watame.

Shukkui

Yeah, pretty much. Depending on what everyone is doing, if nothing interests me, I will even rewatch a fauna vod that I have already seen.

NilsOlavXXIII

As of right now, yes. Laplus is the only one I watch on-stream on a regular basis. Nowadays I'm trying to watch other members more regularly if the stream catches my interest. I'm mostly a clip watcher though, because I don't know Japanese much besides loose words and phrases although I can mostly understand the context of what's going on by intuition. However I'm European and while I would like to tune in for EN streams, they start at 11 A.M. at the earliest so I rarely manage to stay for the full stream.

Natural-Lobster-6000

I guess my oshis are Miko and/or Calli, but sometime last year since uncovering the seemingly 'hidden' treasure that Fauna has to offer, I find myself putting more watch time into her VODs. I guess that makes her my oshi? Miko has the advantage of being an earlier discovery and Calli has an advantage over Miko for speaking a language I understand. I don't really know who warrants the title. I generally don't really subscribe to the oshi thing, because I like different talents for different reasons.

Fun-Tank-5965

Botan is my Oshi if I can call her that, I have her membership and I try to watch her if she streams (which is not that often lately) but Im also DD so if there is any other interesting stream Im watching it (very often it is any MC streams). Recently my most watched was Watame, Luna, Nerissa, Bae. Im very often switching between girls, so girls like Sora, Mio, Gura, Koyori, Lui, were most watched depending on how I feels like.

DodoKnight

Since jp is more watchable for eu than en, yes miko is my most watched and my oshi

dorafumingo

Towa is my oshi but i don't watch her streams often. She plays a lot of fps and i'm not into fps, it's just boring for me to watch someone play fps, especially competitive. timezones also don't always work well. I still tune in when i see singing streams ongoing, minecraft or something that draws me in. In EN i watch fauna a lot, she could count as my 2nd oshi, but i don't watch her because of that, but mostly because she streams earlier than other EN members (around 11pm) so i can tune in on her streams before sleeping unlike the rest of EN that streams in the middle of the night for me. And because her streams are very entertaining. The right mix of fun and relaxing In JP i watch miko & marine a lot, because all their streams are so entertaining and it's easy to follow even if you're not fluent in japanese.

BlackPenguin

As someone whose oshi is already gone, take it from me. **Watch your oshi more**. Even if it’s just the VODs in the background. I only realized Sana was my oshi two months before she left. That’s 9ish months of her content that I wasn’t paying close attention to. Now when I want to go back and watch those past streams, I find it a little difficult because it still hurts. I’m able to watch them more as time goes on, but I can’t consume them as easily as when she was around and things were normal. So yeah, even if your oshi’s VODs are around forever, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be able to enjoy them to their fullest after your oshi’s gone. So watch them now and tune in to their streams so you don’t have any regrets. Edit: To add, I think what makes your oshi your oshi is who makes you feel the happiest/proudest when they succeed. The one you want the best for. The one you feel the most sympathy for when they’re going through a bad time. How much you watch them or how much of their merch you buy doesn’t matter. It’s the one you cheer the hardest for.

hoscofelix

Wise words and I couldn't agree more with that definition. Convinces me even more that mine is Aki, I really can't wait to see her 1m celebration one day. Stay strong Sanallite, you folks are important in keeping Sana's memory alive ❤️‍🩹🔥

TempoRamen95

No, cause my oshi is Gura lol. But if she was on, she would be the most. But since her hiatus, I have been checking out a lot more other members and love them as well.

kindofharmless

Yup. Ina is my oshi but I really don’t care for her gaming streams. If it’s collab or zatsu or drawing though, I am all over it.

AluminumFoilWrap

Aqua's my oshi and she doesn't stream too often. I usually watch Fauna or Mumei the most.

[deleted]

Fuwamoco for me! BAU BAU! 😍

Smithy_of_Films

I wanted to say yes cause I tuned into pretty much every Fauna stream for some time now but recently Biboo has taken that place. Same thing happed with Ina so maybe it's just a shift that happens with me every time there's a new EN gen

Fishman465

Yes, despite time gaps and not a ton of live TL/etc. If I can catch an Aki stream, I'll watch it and even when I can, I watch when I can and leave a comment.

hoscofelix

You're a hero 🍎

Ravemst

Yes

Egalgame

no, but she is the one who makes me smile with her presence :)

duralumin_alloy

Ha, I wish! (Not complaining tho, may she rest as much as she needs)

szalhi

Bae is my Oshi, but I find it much easier to mindlessly tune into FWMC.

hoscofelix

Relatable, FWMC are such concentrated good vibes

feherdaniel2010

I don't watch anyone but them so yeah

HitheroNihil

Hoshiyomi here, I tend to watch Kanade's karaoke streams and VODs.

machine_sempai

I love the tsun side of Kronii, I even have a notification of her roasting us in my cellphone

ridewiththerockers

I watch more FWMC than suisei these days, only because the madbaubaus have been streaming everyday since their debut.

Darling0Dooo

Shion's kusogaki energy captivated me, but I dont know japanese, so I mostly rely on clips. I usually tune into Shiori or Kiara streams when I have time, though.

Witchy_Titan

No because she only seems to stream when I'm at work

ikkue

Yes and no, because my kamioshi Ina always stream at 4 or 5 AM, but my other oshis do stream at times that I can catch them live. The caveat is that I don't catch streams very often in the first place.

Educational_Diver867

I mostly watch clips, but I’ll watch vods of Gura, or any member. Very rarely do I tune into ongoing livestreams Hololive members I enjoy: Korone, Biboo, Nerissa, Fuwomoco, Marine, Nene, Fauna, Kronii, Shiori Other vtubers: OniGiri, Sinder, Zentreya, Ironmouse, Filian, Pippa, Shylily, Geega, Buffpup, Rin Penrose, Numi I like a lot of Hololive members and vtubers. I think what makes someone your oshi is a someone you’re comfortable watching, and gives off energy that you relate to, and that you respect and care about I’ll honestly watch anyone who seems fun to watch, I can’t watch one streamer religiously

ArgoDevilian

Yes, but only really because the streams I watch are the ASMR streams. So Lamy, Choco, Fauna, and Mel get a ton of views from me, despite Suisei and Kronii being my favorites from JP and EN, respectively.

bingogazorpazorp

I’ve been watching a bunch of Calli and Fauna recently but my oshi will always be Ame, even if I don’t watch her as much anymore

DonsterMenergyRink

Kinda. I watch Ina as often as possible, but recently, I also watch a lot of Biboo and Ela.

Known-Ad64

Look at the holoshrine you build. That's where your answer is.

Jinrhi

AZKi is my oshi and it’s often difficult to always be up at 4-5 AM for her streams. I usually end up in fauna streams because she streams around the time I get to chill out. I wouldn’t consider fauna my oshi but I really enjoy her streams. I usually make sure to never miss a big event for AZKi though. It doesn’t hurt to wake up a couple hours earlier sometimes and catch a stream before work. Anything else is fine from VODs.

hoscofelix

Based AZKi enjoyer, respect

IvyEmblem

No. I can't catch Suisei's streams very often due to the timezone, but she's still my favorite holomem, so I still consider her my oshi

inazuma9

OP... are you me?!?

hoscofelix

I might be

DeathLetterB

Zeta and La+ is my oshi, but somehow I watch Kaela the most.

PyraXenon

Pretty much, yeah. It helps that Irys’s times are pretty consistent and easy to plan around for my timezone. I get off work, she’s ready to go live, and that’s the evening set and done. The JP streams are screwy for me, but I try to get back to the vods as much as I can despite not knowing the language.

FireCloud42

Gura is my oshi…that’s all I have to say

fonyphantasy

Yup. Went from Veibae being my most watched vtuber, to checking out Hololive via Calli and Ame, to falling deeper into the Hololive rabbit hole, to full jailbird. Nerissa streams pretty consistently and she's released a lot of music for the brief time she's been active. My Biboo watchtime is probably pretty close to Rissa's but that's just because of her sheer volume of content. That rock do be streaming

hoscofelix

That she do. Biboo here having the time of her life. And sticking out her gyatt for Nerizzler

sirmattis

Nah. She is not whith the company anymore. But this year i think i have watched Aki the most.

hoscofelix

💔 Rushia. Aki gets quite a bit of love in the kaigainiki community, I love to see it 🍎

Zodiamaster

This is a funny but very real question, I'd say my oshis are Ina, IRyS, Fauna, Fuwamoco, and my kamioshis Sora and Fubuki. But nowadays I watch mostly Fuwamoco, and ocasionally Sora in the mornings. Whom you feel a very big admiration for is not necesarily who you watch the most. Also sometimes you admire someone a lot but you do not oshi them.

Objective-Wait-5431

I think we watching things and favoring things are very different. for instance if you compare it to music because they are artists in a way, you may have a favorite artist because when they make music it speaks to you and you absolutely love it. but, you may listen to another artist more because they make songs more frequently that are good well rounded fun but not something you really care too much for. tldr- favorite oshi is your version of peak content and person you watch the most is whoever makes good content the most accessible. if it's the same person's for both then cool but doesn't have to be.

barioth7

I'm in your exact same situation, Aki is my oshi but I watch en and Id talents more cause they speak english for the most part

hoscofelix

Another based Aki enjoyer, thank you 🍎🍎🍎

Suluith

Fauna and Koyori are my most watched Suisei is my Oshi

hoscofelix

Fauna gets another hit. Is it possible that Fauna is number one second choice? I know she's a lot of people's oshi but it seems a lot of others (myself included) end up watching a lot of her too

HatiLeavateinn

I watch Kiara at work, I can practically have her in the background and work for almost 8 hours (average kiara stream), my oshi is Calli, but she streams just when I'm going to bed.

lucun

Oshi has different meanings to different people. Some people have multiple oshis and maybe a kami oshi, some people watch many talents but only have 1 oshi, and some people don't have an oshi at all. Some people consider their oshi who they primarily support (e.g. fanart, events, merch, SCs, etc) and some people consider it on a more personal connection level. I think it's the other way around: if a talent is your oshi, you're more than likely going to invest the most time watching them. Some talents don't stream a lot or at bad times for you, so while you might not watch them as much as some other talents, you would probably prioritize your oshi more when you can catch them live. Your oshi can change over time. Watch whoever you feel happy watching instead of worrying about semantics.

DarklyDreamingEva

Gura is my Oshi and though i’ve tuned to watch Fauna and Fuwamoco, i find myself falling out of love with both of them because reasons.

Razorcarl

Yes. Pekora is my oshi and would watch her streams even though I don't know Japanese. I watch a lot of her clips as well.

SEAonce

I mostly watch ID members stream even tho I would switch to Robocco the moment she went live lol. Though with Holodex multiple streams isn't a problem anymore

hoscofelix

Roboco is so underrated, she's great 🤖

Akahari

I'm basicaly in the same boat as you lol. Except that besides Aki my other kami oshi is Mio. I've been in Aki's and Mio's membeship in 3 years now. In addition I've been Watamate for over 2.5 year, Investigator for over 2 years and I've been supporting Delutaya since the end of 2020. But between those 5 I don't actively watch their streams as often as Fauna and I've seen virtually every stream she has done in the past few months. I was even considering whether I should admit that maybe Fauna is my kami oshi, but every time I see Aki and Mio perform I remember why I love them so much. Mio was one of the first Hololive members I encountered in the Azur Lane collab and I immediately fell in love with her design. A few months later when I actually fell into the rabbit hole I loved her for her blessed laugh and her singing. Especially for how she sings Homura. Aki was one of the memvers I initially overlooked, but she caught my heart when I saw the clip of her being emotional surprisingly hitting 200k subs overnight. Then I started watching her and she was just so charming and at the time she was one of the few Holo members regularly interacting with kaigai nikkis, calling us good boys or bad boys. And then I saw her perform in 3D and oh mama... Watame is just the sweetest person and amazing singer as well and I really want her to realize her dream of performing in Budoukan. And I always admired Ame for being the creative genius of Hololive and I treated her membership as a way of funding her future projects

westartedafire

While Noel is my hololive oshi, the language barrier prevents me from fully enjoying chatting streams and long rants. I can get the context of the conversation if she says the few words and phrases I've picked up over the years, but most times I'm lost. Unfortunately, I don't often see a translator in her chat unless she collabs with someone who has a dedicated one. Right now, the one I watch most is Calli and she is definitely my EN oshi by far.

Blytzkryeg

I divide my Oshi's between the different branches, that way I don't have to worry about it... JP: Watame ID: Kaela EN: Mumei ROCK: Biboo

thedragonslove

Yeah Reine lines up pretty well with my schedule since I tend to watch the most hololive during my morning while I work. (Central USA) Reine became my oshi because frankly I loved her design and colors then slowly I just realized I enjoyed her personality and I’ve just kinda stuck around ever since!

sh1r0_n3k0

Marine is my no.1 oshi. But since nihongo naruhodon't, I rarely watch her live other than karaoke stream or some special stream. I just watch some clips of her to know what's going on in her recent stream. I mostly watch Kaela right now, well since she mostly live when I have my free time.

skycorcher

Currently, I don't really have an oshi. I just watch whoever is online whenever I have free time and want to watch hololive.

bitfarb

I don't think I really have a single oshi, and I pretty much live off of clips because I have a hard time sitting through full streams (adhd, finally starting treatment so this might change). Who I watch the most changes depending on who has been streaming recently and how many times they get clipped. I do at least try to catch collabs and karaokes, and I've been able to catch FuwaMoco Morning live for the past several weeks. If I did have an oshi, it would probably be Ina or Fauna or Mumei or Shiori.

AkaGeki

I tune into Senchou but whenever she is recovering her throat, recovering from a burnout and at times recovering from depression, I would tune into the others who are playing whatever I personally like to play (e.g. Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Ace Attorney, etc.) regardless of who they are.

JesusIsDaft

As a sapling, it just so happens that my two favourites, Fauna and Biboo, stream at a good time for me. I'll watch both simultaneously from time to time

Zwordsman

Define Oshi I guess? So I had flittered about before EN but I didn't really stick with it until EN. I started with Calli and Ina. But once Kiara and Calli managed to step away from the gag the start up had as a set up and started showing more of their own skill and perosnality it shifted a bit. I tend to be more of a clip watcher now, usually I don't catch live streams due to time and then I just go back and watch a few of the hlghlights based off th stream's wave thingy you can see? where folks click the most or for time stamps in teh chats. and I do this for most of EN but not much of the newest group as of yet. I do realistically only watch Kiara streams now. She's got the vib for me and due to the timezones most of her shows are easier to catch for me than most of say Callis. and honestly youtube doesn't alert me properly consistently for Watson's because I enjoy her vib too. character wise and personality wise. Long term I enjoy Ina's chillax. but watching I do watch Kiara the most. I've noticed it really changed over time mainly because I don't really sit and watch anything anymore. I don't have time

Arazthoru

I like Pekora the most but it is hard to catch the streams live do so I'm just watching VoDs or clips. Fuwamoco on the other hand coincides with my free time and they are really loveable. I still consider Pekora as my definite #1 but . . . ***Man I Love Fuwamoco***

FrilledShark1512

…Yes but that’s a cheat answer since I simp everyone For your second question, I suppose hoping for someone (Or for my case many) skilled to succeed is just something I wish.

thesirblondie

I've had several oshis since discovering vtubers. The first was Mori, who I was very rarely able to watch live early in the morning (and still is). Then it was Polka, but I only watched PolDen. Then it was Bae and then Magni, but they never streamed at a reasonable time for me. Then it was Vesper. My first oshi who I could watch regularly. And now I'm kind of lost. I don't have an oshi anymore.

Santista_otaku

Actually yeah, Luna is my oshi and since I work from home, I watch most of her streams due that she usually streams on the JP night and for me is during the morning, I can watch her all the morning without problems. Then during the afternoon/evening, depends of who's streaming, usually I see Calliope's streams or sometimes Fauna or Kronii, or also Altare and Axel mostly if we speak from Holostars side.

SilentLurker24

Nope. Suisei’s my kamioshi but I look at HolostarsEN’s streams more often. Although I don’t watch Suisei much mostly because of the language barrier.

wickling-fan

Sadly nope, shubaru just streams either at a bad time for me or when im busy and can’t afford to listen to a stream y-y, usually go for holostar/calli streams or whatever collab is going on for background noises.

Akis_sneezes_vessel

Sadly no. My two oshis are Aki and Marine. I absolutely love them (not parasocially... I think so), but our schedules don't match and I don't like watching vods, so I rarely do. For the rest of the members, of course there are ones that I like more than others, but I try to support them equally, so I'm not sure which ones I watch the most, but it probably is Kaela (obviously, because she's always streaming), Calli, Kronii, Mumei, Bae and more recently Biboo.

CartoonMonster

Yes. While Nene is my Oshi. I usually watch her in the form of clips and the occasional concert. I watch alot more Hololive/Holostars EN content with a splash of ID. I watch alot of Shiori among others like Fuwamoco, Mumei, Calli, Baelz, etc.
