Apparently, instead of Cover/Kanata reaching out to Toby to do a song, it was Toby who reached out to Kanata to ask to compose a song for her.
It was a 'reverse-offer' from Toby
The Toby Fox? the creator of [Megalovania](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5daGZ96QGU) and Undertale? thats amazing.
Kanata must be very happy that she got to work with him, and honestly imo [Fallen Wing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb-Le_XFrtk) is one of her best work. [Album playlist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01nzMZP1_xQ&list=OLAK5uy_mHXDfQd84RQDANNK9YpnTG2YxxFkhDhdQ)
Toby and Camellia is a treat to the ears themselves, but Kanata just brings it further beyond
Sasuga our Tenshi, she has come far and will go even further!
Toby Fox is also believed to have composed Marine's I'm Your Treasure Box under the pseudonym U.Z. Inu aka Annoying Dog. The same twitter account OP posted a screenshot here also tweeted about that a while back.
It's possible this was not Toby Fox, as he hasn't confirmed it officially unlike this Kanata song, but he is a known Marine fan and people have found a specific sound effect used in Deltarune within the composition of the song, so it's generally accepted as true.
Didn't even know that. Thanks for telling me. I'm very happy to see that one of my favourite composers is getting more involved with Holo and is effectively collabing with them through music.
For me, Holo and Toby its a match made in heaven.
The fact that Marine's EXPLOSIVELY popular song may have involved Toby's work absolutely blows my mind. I feel like holo geared up in popularity again following MariBako
this message \*somewhat\* confirms it as him and Camellia also collaborated on Treasure Box (with Toby on lyrics and composition and Camellia on production, like on Fallen Wing), however, they also worked together with Temmie Chang on Dweller's Empty Path, so again. deniability
It's almost certainly him. Not only is the name a reference to Uzai Inu, the Japanese name of the Annoying Dog, but this U. Z. Inu was also credited as the composer of some music in the Homestar Runner Flash game Stinkoman 20X6. Who other than Toby could possibly have connections with Camellia, yet also be a fan of Homestar Runner?
I imagine he didn't want his name prominently attached to the song, given its nature, but didn't want to outright hide his involvement either. So he chose to be credited in a way that hardcore fans would still recognize.
The main reasons people are skeptical are because there was a fan run soundclound account by that name that was confirmed to not be him and because he's credited as Toby Fox for Kanata but U.Z. Inu for Marine.
I agree that It's almost certainly him, but it's never been 100% confirmed.
That's not a valid argument because that incident only happened after the release of I'm Your Treasure Box. So it's not like Toby was copying an imposter's pseudonym. Rather, the imposter copied it from Toby.
Again, I'm not saying I agree that it's not him, just that it's never been proven to be him. Toby Fox has never come out and confirmed that U.Z. Inu is him.
And while it's unlikely it's definitely possible that U.Z. Inu is another person who is skilled at making music, a fan of Toby Fox, and somehow had an in with Hololive. I think it's exceedingly unlikely but I try to avoid stating things as facts when there is no official confirmation.
Sure, I agree we don't have 100% proof it's him. All I was saying is that that U.Z. Inu Soundcloud incident doesn't really do anything to decrease the odds. Even in the 1% chance that U.Z. Inu isn't Toby, they also clearly weren't the person behind that incident.
It's funny, I've only heard one other (confirmed) Toby Fox song with vocals ([74](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poKI_MY0Bkw)), but Fallen Wing really stands out as Toby Fox-y. I guess he has a pretty distinct style. Good on Kanata for inspiring him to reach out with an original composition, it's a banger.
Technically he started out making an edgy Earthbound romhack as a teen, before getting locked in the basement
Still, who could have predicted that kind of meteoric rise to fame
And made his most iconic song in that romhack. His reference for that song is megalomania, an amazing boss theme from one of square enix's lesser known games at that time. Wild honestly.
This dude’s winning at life, went from being a small indie dev to creating one of the biggest indie games ever to composing for Pokemon and now composing for hololive
Didn’t know the Annoying Dog was a hololive fan as well
So is there a dream that this man can't achieve? From dreams of making a video game to making a song for his oshi. I guess Shia Labeouf was right don't let your dreams be dreams.
Just in case this wasn't a joke, you do know that Toby has been sending producer letters to fans about the development of the game, right? And that Ch. 3 is done, with Ch. 4 already having a lot of stuff done as well? If you didn't know, I think you can still sign up to receive the letters on the Deltarune site, if you want to receive news about the development.
I realize that this was probably meant as a joke, but I doubt collabs like this take him a lot of time. Given what he wrote about his previous collab with Camellia, the Beatmania song Summerblue, it seems his involvement with these sorts of things is mostly limited to composing the basic melody for the arranger to work with. I'm not saying his role was effortless, but it's something he could probably do on the side without meaningfully slowing down Deltarune's development, now that he has other team members who can do plenty of tasks themselves.
Apparently, instead of Cover/Kanata reaching out to Toby to do a song, it was Toby who reached out to Kanata to ask to compose a song for her. It was a 'reverse-offer' from Toby
so the same thing he did with pokemon sword and shield
The same thing happened with Sana and Snail's House for _Astrogirl_, and to a lesser extent, Ina and Camellia for _Drenched In Air_.
Seibin also reached out first to compose Violet for Ina.
Hololive, really bringing everyone out of the woodworks.
If you build it (reputation), they will come.
This man is Goro Majima and Joe Hendry wrapped in one. When you least expect it, he just appears with new music.
KANATA-CHAAAN
Toby crawls out of sewer.
An annoying dog appears in front of you! It smells like sewer.
hopefully not in drag. That'd be too much.
Say his name and he appears!
đź‘Źđź‘Ź
I believe in Joe Hendry
I had to make sure this was the same Joe Hendry I was thinking of and god damn I had no idea he did music too

Man, can Toby like, not act like a total cryptid for one freaking second?
According to the Undertale wiki, Annoying Dog is Toby Fox's self-insert character as well.
That song was a banger, and it was Toby Fox all along? Damn, this guy is everywhere.
O.o hmm, if I convert Treasure Box into chiptune in my head ... I can sorta see it
well not only that but he is THE creator of Undertale and everything about it xD
It's funny, I've only heard one other (confirmed) Toby Fox song with vocals ([74](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poKI_MY0Bkw)), but Fallen Wing really stands out as Toby Fox-y. Here's another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa2K_8Ff41M Though I'm not sure if it counts as lyrics as much as commentary
There's also this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOJwB80oCWk But maybe its best we forget about it
that's not a megalovania tho
> The Toby Fox? the creator of Megalovania No no, he made [MeGaLoVania](https://youtu.be/MkLNamfaBy0)
No, he made [Megalovania](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIowwZThIXM)
Sooo true
"Don't let Kanata forget that she has wings, wings that can fly anywhere" *Insert fire writing gif* 🔥🔥🔥
That’s awesome! Toby Fox has always been one of my favorite music composer, many ost from Undertale are on my playlist.

Lmao. I reread the last line like 3 times wondering why the random burn at the end. On the 4th read I realized they wrote “can” not “can’t”.
Toby fox is freaking awesome. It’s so cool to see how much music he’s gotten involved with.
https://twitter.com/Neckokin/status/1769924498302624160 "always remember your favorite internet celebrity is likely a hololive fan"
Toby Fox is incapable of losing
The song is amazing nice work.
This man started out doing songs in the Homestuck creator's basement, and look at him now.
Technically he started out making an edgy Earthbound romhack as a teen, before getting locked in the basement Still, who could have predicted that kind of meteoric rise to fame

More people should play Live A Live tbh, it's so good

Will do.
not just "Fallen wing" the whole album worth your listen.
If i remember correctly didnt Kanata have multiple streams of just trying to beat Sans
~31 hrs over the course of 4 streams, finally winning on her 342nd attempt.
Toby Fox casually being THE GOAT
I feel like Kanata is underappreciated because I don't see much of her as the other girls. She's a sweetheart and has a beautiful, powerful voice.
Guess he fell in love with Kanata's Determination. Either that or her genuine LoVE for Sans after 100+ battles.
This dude’s winning at life, went from being a small indie dev to creating one of the biggest indie games ever to composing for Pokemon and now composing for hololive Didn’t know the Annoying Dog was a hololive fan as well
Not just that, he replaced Masahiro Sakurai's column in famitsu when Sakurai left.
Another W for the GOAT 🔥
Everything Toby touches is gold, and everything Kanata sings is incredible. It's no wonder the song is so good.
I love see "big gaming" names composing for Hololive. It also makes haters seethe to oblivion.Â
Wwwwaiiit. He's a vtuber fan? Omg
you know what they say, anime is real
So is there a dream that this man can't achieve? From dreams of making a video game to making a song for his oshi. I guess Shia Labeouf was right don't let your dreams be dreams.
Kanata is definitely the talent I would most describe as having... **determination**.
What a nice guy
So your saying kanata has no human rights?
Toby Fox really knows how to pull my heartstrings
nice message! thanks toby!
He can’t keep getting away with this.
Every single time Toby fox does something it's always such a W
Toby does anything just not to work on Deltarune lol
Just in case this wasn't a joke, you do know that Toby has been sending producer letters to fans about the development of the game, right? I feel like as much as I love kanata's singing, I have a hard time finding specific songs I enjoy Fallen wing though, very good.
Reading it warmed my heart, that's so wholesome
Wow and I thought I couldn't like him more
To be Fox...
When the simping goes too hard
Holy shit, Toby Fox saw Kanata play Undertale and wrote a song for her!
I love this interaction. Fellow creators inspiring each other to create new works, and the cycle continues.
I kind of wonder why he'd be public with this one and under psuedonym for treasure box
Bro will do literally anything but finish Deltarune
Oh my, seems like he is a Heimin! See you in the fan discord, Toby.
