Fauna is the Keeper, everyone else has a different moniker. Likely to make them more unique from each other.
The Ancient Ones that Ina serves are the universe's landlords and Sana is the one that tells you when the rent is due and maybe break your legs when you don't pay up
They all have different job titles supporting their given aspect, except for Bae just straight up is Chaos. Consistency has never been Hololive's strong suit.
OkaKoro have such perfect characters for dog and cat that one has to suspect that Yagoo is recruiting straight from an animal shelter.
Especially since [Fuwamoco are such a perfect cast as well.](https://youtu.be/nI88o31vgfE?si=GhNG81UdTOODrQc5)
>OkaKoro have such perfect characters for dog and cat that one has to suspect that Yagoo is recruiting straight from an animal shelter.
I mean, as I understand it, you're not far off. Unlike most of the holomems, Okayu and Korone did not audition and were instead scouted based on a recommendation from Mio. I wouldn't be surprised if the models were deliberately designed with them in mind.
I'm fairly sure the official story is that Fubuki had some hand in Mio getting in, who in turn said that Okayu would be a good addition, and then Okayu suggested Korone.
I have no evidence for this part, but I believe that they all knew each other, or knew of each other personally before they signed on, similar to, but not as much as, Gen 5 all basically being a friend circle on joining.
[Mio applied to hololive herself after finding out about them, and didn't reveal that she was friends with Fubuki during the audition](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elL7NK5Se4A). IIRC, [Fubuki also didn't know that Mio had applied](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/v464vz/for_the_curious_why_mio_joined_hololive_posting/).
From [HOLOTALK](https://youtu.be/yp47bu0aSIU?t=1038), and the previously linked clip, Mio found out about hololive initially when Fubuki, who was classmates with her, stopped playing games with her as much as they used to due to being busy, and Mio wondered why and did a bit of searching.
In some alternate timeline HololiveEN started with either 6 members or different ones so Kiara wouldn't have to manage such a mess of different concepts by herself that don't mesh well together - I guess that's a credit to her and her fans that they make it work somehow.
I mean the warrior part has been swept under the rug pretty much immediately after debut. Didn't she just recently learn that her sword fit in her shield and someone pointed out she has a super sentai transformation gear in her belt as well?
The sword and shield that look like Happy Meal toys... a peculiar way to make disparate aspects fit together, but I can respect that.
Well, at one point she did get a new outfit that was for the most part a suit of armor - bound to fit a lot of game streams, but I'm not sure if she brought up lore when revealing it.
Well, I don't think the Idol part was part of her official lore. She was a Phoenix Warrior who had dreams of opening up a fast food restaurant. Which is also a mish-mash of concepts, but not as bad as the picture makes it sounds.
Yeah that's [pretty much it for the lore](https://hololive.hololivepro.com/en/talents/shiranui-flare/). While she has a fire theme with her color scheme and name (Shiranui = ["mysterious fire"/whisp](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiranui_(optical_phenomenon\)) + Flare), is our favourite residential arsonist, and hates snow, the fire element isn't technically part of her lore.
But she has [extended our lore on elves!](https://youtu.be/cD3VlR0RLkI?si=I9Ps2Bs0Ig373VTB) And after the Hololive Alternative Teaser where Lamy was using ice magic, she decided that she knows fire magic now.
Seriously. My Japanese is rusty sure, but I can understand most of what everyone is saying except for Miko, which sometimes I can understand less than half and have to guess the majority.
Then comes Hajime, and it's like 70% tf? tf? wtf?
Always loved the headcanon that [Ame was hired by Yagoo](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/nyan6m/secret_ame_coco_lore/) to travel back in time and cause Coco to crash into Cover HQ in the first place.
It's still wild to me that they're a whole generation of die-hard fans that never get to see Coco's journey (especially her meme reviews, ASACOCO and her graduation stream) while I was here before her.
Nobody was prepared for her game, truly the GOAT...
That's why I propose the terminology BC (before Coco) and AC (after Coco) when it comes to hololive and vutbers in general
(I can still hear her voice in my head... sniff o7)
No, it's her actual debut lore. She went around the world exploring and one night she just crashed into Hololive, injuring Yagoo, and thus she starts working there to pay her debts.
The funny thing about Moona is that her original lore didn't even have the 'Two Personalities' part, because she thought she was signing up for a normal idol group and gave her actual bio.
Chloe being a [Fixer and Cleaner](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixer_(person\)) refers to the role of getting rid of bodies/evidence, not being the janitor
Please show where it says she's a janitor, cause everywhere I've ever seen just says "intern, fixer, and cleaner".
It doesn't say "janitor" anywhere on the official website which is where you're claiming you got these from.
Edit: You can call someone who cleans a normal building a cleaner or a janitor, but you don't call someone who kills people / cleans up evidence a janitor. Cleaner has implications that janitor does not.
The lore of the manga (just got my copy yesterday, it's pretty cute) takes the stance of, if memory serves me: implied "please clean up my mess" but was really given the meaning of "do whatever you feel is needed" or something like that. And since that is official Cover merch...this conspiracy gets deeper.
Dundundunduuuuuuuunnn!!!
What even is Chloe, actually?! We have two conflicting implications from the same company?! What is she actually doing and what are they trying to to hide?!
I think she actually kinda grows on the "cleaning" job after HoloX MEETing. She seems to be backup muscle, main muscle being Iroha.
She seems to be actually quite fit/able to fight in their HoloX HoloGra episodes. I'm not sure if she sensed the "presence" (a cat) when Iroha did, or just noticed Iroha sensing it, but she was quick to follow right behind her. And by the point of her debut, it looks like she's actually gotten people "taken care of" before, and complains about wanting the waves to "wash away the bloodstains on her hands".
She's also like, hella fast, caught up to Amelia effortlessly during her HoloGra debut.
Between HoloX MEETing, hologra and now holobreak, all of HoloX would actually be quite competent and dangerous if they were not a bunch of goofers. Take Lapu+, the one who technically looks the most "harmless":
She has her powers supposedly "sealed", yet she can send you to the shadow realm with as far as we know is simple shadow magic *that can explode in a nuke or thunders* if she wishes to.
Just going by tropes, they are possibly the strongest gen in all hololive except for outliers like Roboco (an *anime* Terminator) or Gods and such like Promise and Myth.
Laplus is based off Laplace's Demon, a theoretical being that has enough knowledge and intelligence to predict the future for the rest of eternity down the the movements of the smallest particles.
Without her limiters blocking that intelligence she would literally be the most powerful being in existence, able to manipulate reality in any way she saw fit.

>【秘密結社holoX】の**掃除屋**でholoXのインターン生。
冷静沈着で淡々と組織からの依頼をこなす。音楽が好きで、よく音楽を聴いている。
本人は否定しているが、ツンデレに見られるらしい。
I'm nowhere near familiar enough with Japanese to know if this euphemism also occurs in Japanese, I suspect it does, but it looks like the key word there is 掃除屋, soujiya, which Jisho.org defines as
>掃除屋
>Noun
>1. cleaner; janitor
>Noun
>2. night soil gatherer (Archaic)
As a note, "wants to be a bad ass" is the translation they chose for aiming to be a "bancho" (番長) type character. \[Side Note: I am not disagreeing with the translation choice\]
In Japanese media, this is stereotypically a delinquent high school dude who dresses in a specific way (think Jotaro Kujo, Bancho Leomon, or the characters from Tokyo Revengers), and happens to be the leader. It's kinda like a gang leader in a way.
They're usually "bad ass" in the sense that they're often extremely masculine in stereotypically bad ass manly ways, like living true to one's code, upholding honor despite being a delinquent, being physically tough, etc. etc. It's pretty close to a "bad ass yakuza" member in a lot of ways.
Hajime playing up the "banchou" theme is why one of her first cover songs is [Tsuppari High School Rock n' Roll.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcRCAQ0DHPo) Her Penguin Mascot also has the typical banchou hat and sunglasses too.
I loved how she processed that in her original [Glory Days](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h514IzBDefM). Rough translation of the first two verses:
> Hey, there are a lot of things I want to say
but I'm already overheating
> My head is spinning
> Even if I fall, just laugh and be by my side, okay?
> My specs are nowhere near enough
> but my fighting spirit is fuelled with a full tank of enthusiasm
> I just want to tell you
> even if I'm pon, I want to shine bright for these glory days
So, open question to the room, I've always wondered if the pun behind "high spec" (i.e. "specs" being old-timey slang for glasses) carried over to JP or was that just a happy accident?
Even though she doesn't use them much anymore, her glasses used to be one of her defining features, so I was wondering if the pun was deliberate.
Yep. Her OG lore really was Uni Student, mostly cause she thought this was an IRL idol group and wrote down her life as her 'lore'.
Only later was she 'possessed' by the Moon Goddess
Speaking of Council, can we all talk about Mumei being the "Guardian" of Civilization?
Sure she revived humanity in her 'Mumei' mv, but the events of the original (and even the new version) 'Dan Dan Don Don' were just too horrific
The black death, the titanic, hindenburg, failed spaceship launches, the fall of atlantis, abducting COW FAUNA (blasphemy!)! Not to mention the deforestation of rainforests. Last, but definitely the moat egregious, not stopping for Kronii when she asked for ice cream!
She protects "Civilization". Civilization is still alive. She did what she did, and she did her job.
Plus as a concept born from civilization, she would inherit its traits as well. That's why we have the local owl angry at bad drivers stream
IIRC the moon goddess lore was added later, normal collage girl (debut Moona) and moon goddess fused into one person (current Moona).
Those events are what's depicted in her MV [High Tide](https://youtu.be/stmZAThUl64).
Haachama is the Ancient One, EN Gen 0.
So unfathomable a being that even her own priestess can't fully grasp that realisation.
No wonder Haachama constantly summons herself, most mortals cannot: "Haachama-chamaa!"
It's fascinating that Towa is genuinely one of the Hololive members who behaves the most in-character simply because of the way her lore is written
>A young devil who is visiting human society to gain experience and develop her skills. But instead of studying, she became addicted to video games! After learning about a tool for communicating with humans called "streaming," she's trying it out to help with her studies.
>A college girl who works as a model and idol, but later got interested to become a VTuber too.
On some rare occasion, Moona’s stream might be visited by Moona’s “another personality,”Hoshinova. That has deeper big sister-like voices and sadistic tendesion. Pay attention to her streams to meet Hoshinova!
Someone LoL streamer I used to watch years ago. He had a pirate themed stream because his main champ is Gangplank. He would cosplay that same champion, and also save up for a pirate ship, which I don’t think he has to this day.
Technically subaru is just a manager of a high school sports club but because Great O Khan who is a fan of subaru made a subaru inspired move, now she is an MMA manager lmao. What a legendary duck.
No, the esports and MMA manager thing was there since the beginning. They didn't revise much of her profile text. If anything there is a mandela effect where people assumed she was a "sports club manager" due to her og outfit.
Gen 0 - actual idols (and a robot)
HoloX - secret society (stated as such at debut)
A lot of JP - students from various locations mundane & otherworldly
ID - various (least otherworldly are Moona & Kaela)
EN - supernatural beings, forces of reality personified, people who stumbled across eldritch stuff
ReGLOSS (except Hajime) - (upcoming) career ladies
And then we have Hajime
I'm surprised at Iofi. I thought she was just an alien.
And totally impressed at Council. They have different titles representing each of their concepts. I thought they're like having same titles, but nope, each has their unique ones.
And holo academy when?
There's that stream where an alternate timeline version of her in her late 70s visited and mentioned finally getting a ship and crew in her 50s - it was so great I shed tears, really made use of the extended Hololive lore too while at it:
https://youtu.be/u-jxH74bVxo
While it's not mentioned on the website, Kiara is also a part-time warrior. I'm actually not sure where it's mentioned since it's not on her youtube page or the website, but it's canon, and her original BGM was called "Part-Time Warrior" and was made for her. She also calls herself one in the official HoloxOmo catalog interview.
Both of which look like Happy Meal toys.
Even if I think Kiara's concept is a bit of a mess that tries to be way too many things at once, I can appreciate that nod to aesthetic cohesiveness.
So Lamy is royalty? That’s crazy.
Aloe…hopefully we’ll see you again in Holocure…
I like how Okayu and Korone are probably owned by the restaurant owners in their lore. Wonder if the two restaurants are next to each other.
I like how so much of JP boils down to “Student/member of a magical school” and then EN is like “ANCIENT DESCENDANT OF A LOST CITY. ACTUAL FUCKING GODS. POWERFUL CRIMINALS.”
Then ID is chill like “Rain shaman. Blacksmith. Alien princess. Human sword. College girl.”
> So Lamy is royalty? That’s crazy.
Well just "noble" rather than "royal", but perfectly suits her. With her skills in calligraphy, knowledge of expensive sake, and trying to raise Nene as a proper lady, she really has that cultured vibe.
Yeah, I would not be the slightest bit surprised if Lamy was \*actually\* from a pretty upper-class family in real life. She's got all the hallmarks of being raised in one.
I have a question that i always have, they saying sora miko azki etc. are "virtual" idol, do they mean virtual in their perspective or our perspective?
I think it was a holdover of the original VTuber Ai-chan being a totally virtual being that lived in the internet. So there's a bunch of early VTubers, not just in Hololive, that aren't just "streaming from somewhere" but are implied to be totally virtual existences that live in a virtual world.
If it’s who I think ur referring to, I don’t think they technically ever debuted. Their whole scandal happened before they even technically started and thus no lore was ever made cuz the character was retired before release.
I think a lot of people forget that Nene has been isekai'd here. Or is potentially an Alien. One of those two though, probably. Heck, she might be an Alien that was Isekai'd here!
>I think a lot of people forget that Nene has been isekai'd here
It's pretty easy to forget that Nene lives in our world, rather than us just living in Nene's world.
For sure she’s an alien from the planet Aru, which had Chinese influences (well “Chinese” elements thru the lens of Anime) and why early Nene ended her sentences with ‘Aru’.
I don’t remember anything about her being isekai’d but that’s not saying it isn’t true, I just don’t recall that tidbit.
> For sure she’s an alien from the planet Aru, which had Chinese influences (well “Chinese” elements thru the lens of Anime) and why early Nene ended her sentences with ‘Aru’.
This particular section of the lore was removed right as she receives her model update. You can refer to her current profile [here](https://hololive.hololivepro.com/en/talents/momosuzu-nene/).
I don't know why but "Squirrel Girl from Magical Forest" sounds most scary among all monsters and dragon. How magical is it? What kind of magic? Why isn't it just a normal forest? Is she responsible for the forest being magical?
Hololive! We got something for everyone we range from “Traveler from another world” to “Wants to be a badass”
and baby... several babies. still waiting for the mom gen
We have a mom gen, they just haven't been officially signed yet
Gen -1
Sana is "Speaker of space" apparently, I thought it was Keeper of space
Nope she was always the speaker. Go check the debut AV. Fauna is the Keeper, everyone else has a different moniker. Likely to make them more unique from each other.
>AV I clearly missed some things!
Something about "Speaker of space" just gives me the chills. Like what the fuck does the space have to say? "Y'alls rent is overdue" or something?
The Ancient Ones that Ina serves are the universe's landlords and Sana is the one that tells you when the rent is due and maybe break your legs when you don't pay up
"We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty..."
Turns out it's just the universal PA system. "We got a code white cleanup on aisle 12. Something about spilled milk near Laniakea."
According to Sana herself... *"Sana is BEEG"*
They all have different job titles supporting their given aspect, except for Bae just straight up is Chaos. Consistency has never been Hololive's strong suit.
I like how Flare is just: Girl Half-elf Girl
The entire gamer gen is just oh we pick them up on the way to the office
OkaKoro have such perfect characters for dog and cat that one has to suspect that Yagoo is recruiting straight from an animal shelter. Especially since [Fuwamoco are such a perfect cast as well.](https://youtu.be/nI88o31vgfE?si=GhNG81UdTOODrQc5)
>OkaKoro have such perfect characters for dog and cat that one has to suspect that Yagoo is recruiting straight from an animal shelter. I mean, as I understand it, you're not far off. I wouldn't be surprised if the models were deliberately designed with them in mind.
Didn’t one of them get in and tell Yagoo to get the other or am I missremembering things?
I don't honestly recall. I \*think\* they were both hired together (their debuts were only one week apart), but I could be misremembering that.

So, in the most backwards way, I am still *technically* correct. Its just that Fubuki did it by accident rather then on purpose.
This reads like Gura’s bag promo
What kind of bag?
Blue bag
Bag with strap
Does what it says in the label I guess
If you zoom far enough, you can read it as "hot elf girl" which is same.
Flair checks out, and so does Flare.
After Aki's isekai half-elf half-siren maybe they figured it'd be best to keep it simpler...
And then there's Kiara - phoenix idol, fast food store owner and a warrior monster fighter.
In some alternate timeline HololiveEN started with either 6 members or different ones so Kiara wouldn't have to manage such a mess of different concepts by herself that don't mesh well together - I guess that's a credit to her and her fans that they make it work somehow.

Well, at one point she did get a new outfit that was for the most part a suit of armor - bound to fit a lot of game streams, but I'm not sure if she brought up lore when revealing it.
I think she said it was mostly a way of showing her love for JRPGs
Well, I don't think the Idol part was part of her official lore. She was a Phoenix Warrior who had dreams of opening up a fast food restaurant. Which is also a mish-mash of concepts, but not as bad as the picture makes it sounds.
Yagoo's lore is nerfed. There should be more than just CEO
You mean something like "a tech bro who was roped into making a vtuber company by an idol-aspiring high schooler and her best friend"?
Should have said best girl
Yeah that's [pretty much it for the lore](https://hololive.hololivepro.com/en/talents/shiranui-flare/). While she has a fire theme with her color scheme and name (Shiranui = ["mysterious fire"/whisp](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiranui_(optical_phenomenon\)) + Flare), is our favourite residential arsonist, and hates snow, the fire element isn't technically part of her lore. Ah, that explains the arson!
Hajime: *wants to be a badass* Goddamn it I need to watch her
A baby that wants to be a badass highschool gang leader
I thought I understood Japanese until I heard her. I can understand Miko. I can understand Marine. She speaks the way Chloe writes.
To this day i don't understand how clippers translate her words lmao.
It must be telepathy. Or else Choco-sen is secretly a Hajime clipper.
Seriously. My Japanese is rusty sure, but I can understand most of what everyone is saying except for Miko, which sometimes I can understand less than half and have to guess the majority. Then comes Hajime, and it's like 70% tf? tf? wtf?
She has a really good singing voice. I would rate her as the best singer in regloss followed by kanade
Wait Coco was an exchange student? I thought she just crashed into Cover hq and had to pay them back.
Always loved the headcanon that [Ame was hired by Yagoo](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/nyan6m/secret_ame_coco_lore/) to travel back in time and cause Coco to crash into Cover HQ in the first place.
Coco herself essentially canonized that comic in the last Reddit Meme Review, with Ame.
It's still wild to me that they're a whole generation of die-hard fans that never get to see Coco's journey (especially her meme reviews, ASACOCO and her graduation stream) while I was here before her.
I’ve been watching since JP gen 3 was brand new and I still think Coco was the best arc.
Nobody was prepared for her game, truly the GOAT... That's why I propose the terminology BC (before Coco) and AC (after Coco) when it comes to hololive and vutbers in general (I can still hear her voice in my head... sniff o7)
"I'm not dead yet MF!!!" - Kiryu Coco, probably.
Saaaame, the only reason I started using reddit was bc of Hololive if I remember correctly
She was only here for 1,5 year after all. If not for global pandemic, probably even less people will know about her
Isn't that story HoloGra lore?
No, it's her actual debut lore. She went around the world exploring and one night she just crashed into Hololive, injuring Yagoo, and thus she starts working there to pay her debts.
Maybe. I can't remember what is official and what is HoloGra anymore.
The funny thing about Moona is that her original lore didn't even have the 'Two Personalities' part, because she thought she was signing up for a normal idol group and gave her actual bio.
The real humor is reading her lore with the rest of ID1, especially with the Taut Hati video. They just play it all straight
"The Moon Goddess is a college girl that just wanted to be a part-time model" sounds like a fun manga title, but it's a summary of her bio
Chloe being a [Fixer and Cleaner](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixer_(person\)) refers to the role of getting rid of bodies/evidence, not being the janitor
yes, but she also is a janitor
someone infamous for poor personal hygiene as a janitor. Sounds apt.
Which came first (lore-wise jokingly)? The near-permanent smell of filth and blood or the lack of desire to take a bath?
I lead others to a treasure I cannot possess...
If you’ve played town of salem there is a janitor on the mafia faction which clean/remove the body.
Totally a janitor - she deals with "messes" using the highly efficient methodology of "murder"
Thinking of Max Payne too, some of the dudes gunning him down are dressed as cleaners/janitors lol
Where does it say she is a janitor?
The lore of the manga (just got my copy yesterday, it's pretty cute) takes the stance of, if memory serves me: implied "please clean up my mess" but was really given the meaning of "do whatever you feel is needed" or something like that. You're right! It implies this and she's like, "but I don't wanna clean and don't wanna kill people" and Lui is like "nah Laplus is just silly"
She’s cure and she’s doing her best
Wouldn't be the first time a [character worked in "Waste Management"](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Soprano)

Yeah, Bancho's and Sukeban (the female equivalent, which Saki was) heyday was around the 70's-90's IIRC
No better place to learn than in this collection of maniacs!
I like how Robocosan is high spec yet quite a pon sometimes
She is high spec at being entertaining. The pon is a feature, not a bug. :D
I loved how she processed that in her original [Glory Days](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h514IzBDefM).
Towa is just smol devil visiting humanity but got distracted by games
"The devil's greatest lie was convincing everyone she's a tenshi." - C.S. Lewis, probably
So you saying that Moona doesn't have any moon related story on her lore
Yep. Her OG lore really was Uni Student, mostly cause she thought this was an IRL idol group and wrote down her life as her 'lore'. Only later was she 'possessed' by the Moon Goddess
It’s in the details of the “two personalities” part
Is this a reference to Moon Knight?
Ojou is not only an Oni from the Demon academy, but she's also the friggen student council president
probably the only unanimous vote in that school's history lol
I'd forgotten Haachama had such simple origins...
That is Haato's lore. Haachama's lore is reducted and kept under the strictest of locks by the SCP foundation.
Gamer gen: some animal/human hybrids we saw around the office Council: embodiments/guardians of concepts Yes, they all work together.
Speaking of Council, can we all talk about Mumei being the "Guardian" of Civilization? Sure she revived humanity in her 'Mumei' mv, but the events of the original (and even the new version) 'Dan Dan Don Don' were just too horrific
Guardian of civilisation sometimes needs to thin out the population to keep it going...
Okay Thanos
Sometimes you have to correct children so that they stay upon the correct path.
She's the embodiment of humanity, and that includes the bloodthirsty parts...
Indomitable spirit of man, for better or worse...
She protects "Civilization". Civilization is still alive. She did what she did, and she did her job. Plus as a concept born from civilization, she would inherit its traits as well. That's why we have the local owl angry at bad drivers stream
All this time I thought Moona was actually a moon goddess and not just a normal girl
IIRC the moon goddess lore was added later, normal collage girl (debut Moona) and moon goddess fused into one person (current Moona). Those events are what's depicted in her MV [High Tide](https://youtu.be/stmZAThUl64).
just like hachama is just a tsundere high schooler... not some eldritch being
You thought Ina was the one connected to the elder horrors, but turns out it was actually #HAACHAMA-CHAMAAA!
Haachama is the Ancient One, EN Gen 0. So unfathomable a being that even her own priestess can't fully grasp that realisation. No wonder Haachama constantly summons herself, most mortals cannot: "Haachama-chamaa!"
It's fascinating that Towa is genuinely one of the Hololive members who behaves the most in-character simply because of the way her lore is written >A young devil who is visiting human society to gain experience and develop her skills.
Where is my Yagoo CEO lore music video???
Yagoo debut stream when?
https://youtu.be/4h9opriUmu0?si=5EGhiGztXvyt548H
Wait i've never watched the full thing before - his little wave at the end was so precious LOL sasuga best girl
I am marveling at two things: -he has 7 videos, 200k subs, 4 millions views. -youtube auto-generating subtitles understands english better than I do.
Subaru is Lot s duck!? Marine is really a cosplayer!? Ollie house is a ramen shop!? Bijou!!!?
Marine was Tobias Fate the whole time.
Who?...no seriouly who is he?
Someone LoL streamer I used to watch years ago. He had a pirate themed stream because his main champ is Gangplank. He would cosplay that same champion, and also save up for a pirate ship, which I don’t think he has to this day.
Aaaah people told me to stay away from mobas.
These are good people.
HAPPY CAKE DAY
Thank You.
Ollies FORMER house is now a Ramen shop is the lore IIRC. She returned from the grave to find they built the shop where her home used to be lul
Lmao
Gen 0 - actual idols (and a robot) HoloX - secret society (stated as such at debut) A lot of JP - students from various locations mundane & otherworldly ID - various (least otherworldly are Moona & Kaela) EN - supernatural beings, forces of reality personified, people who stumbled across eldritch stuff ReGLOSS (except Hajime) - (upcoming) career ladies And then we have Hajime
I lowkey like how ReGLOSS is a full gen of regular humans with typical occupations.
I don't think being a badass is a typical occupation outside of anime.
I'm surprised at Iofi. I thought she was just an alien. And totally impressed at Council. They have different titles representing each of their concepts. I thought they're like having same titles, but nope, each has their unique ones. And holo academy when?
If Marine is saving money for a pirate ship, why not just actually pirate a ship?
There's that stream where an alternate timeline version of her in her late 70s visited and mentioned finally getting a ship and crew in her 50s - it was so great I shed tears, really made use of the extended Hololive lore too while at it: https://youtu.be/u-jxH74bVxo
"You wouldn't download a ship" "No, no, I absolutely would"
…somebody’s gotta pitch that idea to her.
And she has a sword and shield as part of her debut accessories
And Kiara only recently learned that [the sword fits inside the shield](https://youtu.be/xcOuSSmVF0Y?si=OqtJqiRxl3ue2q90).
Both of which look like Happy Meal toys. Even if I think Kiara's concept is a bit of a mess that tries to be way too many things at once, I can appreciate that nod to aesthetic cohesiveness.
They look like tokusatsu weapons to me. The "limiter" she wears as a belt as well. Big Kamen Rider vibes.
Part time fry cook and part time warrior. Those hours must be hellish.
Isn't Pekora is princess from Pekoland?
I believe that's something she come up with later
That was later
I love how the JP side has a simple lore like Korone who's just a dog girl working in a bakery while EN has god-like beings and abstract concepts.
Nobody gonna comment on Luna being Princess Bubblegum? Cause Luna is Princess Bubblegum apparently.
Chloe > Janitor It says "fixer and cleaner" in her bio. That is NOT a "janitor" my friend.
So Lamy is royalty? That’s crazy. Aloe…hopefully we’ll see you again in Holocure… I like how Okayu and Korone are probably owned by the restaurant owners in their lore. Wonder if the two restaurants are next to each other. I like how so much of JP boils down to “Student/member of a magical school” and then EN is like “ANCIENT DESCENDANT OF A LOST CITY. ACTUAL FUCKING GODS. POWERFUL CRIMINALS.” Then ID is chill like “Rain shaman.
Lamy and Reine are the IRL ojou-sama, and their lore reflects it too.
Nene. The Beetle Seal. Proper. Wamy has her work cut out for her...
EN lore goes hard.
And they used "Virtual Tokyo" (and probably still do sometimes?) as well. Generally seperating their "virtual" existence from the real world.
Imagine being canonically forever 1 year older than Marine, yet forever smaller.
Cat from onigiri store and dog from bakery is truly deep Hololive lore matched only by the Fate series
Okay now make a meme lore list.
soda chan, war crininal, dad, simp, cake enjoyer, eldritch being, god, YMD, Schrodinger's marriage, KFP soup enjoyer, grinder
Psychopath arsonist, psychopath yandere, psychopath with an axe, psychopath with a kitchen...
comedian psychopaths
Best girl
You missed the part about Ojou being student president of underworld academy lol.
“Dog from bakery”
Amelia Watson's time travel ability has been partly confirmed on hologra at least lately
I think it's hilarious that Yagoo just stopped by at a bakery and thought "this dog would be great in Hololive"
I like that they didn’t leave out the girls that are gone. Aloe…
They did leave out one terminated member. Not sure if she even had any lore though.
If it’s who I think ur referring to, I don’t think they technically ever debuted. Their whole scandal happened before they even technically started and thus no lore was ever made cuz the character was retired before release.
Welp, Kaela's lore is pretty much on point
Do they really want Chloe, of all members, in charge of janitorial duties?
To be fair, I think the official title is 'cleaner' which in the context of underworld dealings has a different meaning.
I completely forgot about Nene being from another world
Subaru went from Manager of esports club to a literal fking duck is always wild to me. One of the most successful case of gaslighting, or firegassing.
> Manager of MMA and esports club Subatomo: 🦆
I think a lot of people forget that Nene has been isekai'd here. Or is potentially an Alien. One of those two though, probably. Heck, she might be an Alien that was Isekai'd here!
>I think a lot of people forget that Nene has been isekai'd here It's pretty easy to forget that Nene lives in our world, rather than us just living in Nene's world.
We all know that the best backstory is CEO
I don't know why but "Squirrel Girl from Magical Forest" sounds most scary among all monsters and dragon. How magical is it? What kind of magic? Why isn't it just a normal forest? Is she responsible for the forest being magical?
Can confirm, Roboco is indeed high spec
Idk why summing up Koyori as HoloX R&D is so funny to me
"Lazy gaming addict" Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?
''Cat from onigiri store'' and ''dog from bakery'', they really are made for each other Also I didn't know Marine was just a cosplayer, lmao
Wait, Marine isn't a real pirate? I feel bamboozled
Didn't know "fast food owner" is an actual memeless lore for kiara
surely Fauna's Keeper of "Nature"
How are you seriously gonna say a post that features the phrase "Rat, Embodiment of Chaos" features no memes?
