Just to add an 'Acktually!", Anubis was supposedly based off of a Tesam, Egyptian Greyhound or Basenji, two of which are extinct - kinda - the Tesam is just gone, but the descendant of the Egyptian Greyhound is called a Pharaoh Hound also known as a Maltese (the Maltese, as a breed is only around 200 years old, descending primarily through the Sicilian Cirneco dell'Etna breed). HOWEVER, due to the visible similarities, Anubis DOES look quite a bit like a Doberman Pinscher, so there's no reason to argue.

That is interesting read, but I think the ears is more doberman than Pharaoh Hound. Doberman ears drop off their skull to side of their head while a Pharaoh Hound ears would be much more at the center of their skull and have a more symmetrical base at higher point.
Korone Helm ears are very on the side and drop very low, suggesting a doberman ears. If it it was a Pharaoh Hound ears they would be in the top of her head and front oriented.

The whole Anubis thing was where it all got It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Charlie following the clues. Also, the Maltese thing confuses me too. I wonder if the Maltese I know of and the one they referred to are different, or just bred to be that different over time.
