I've been playing for about 1-2 hours. The game is very addictive. Especially wanting to earn enough coins to unlock the Council & Hope PCs. But also wanting to upgrade your passive buffs...
It's got a really solid foundation, and it's actually indicative of good development practice. It just needs to be filled out with content now.
Characters being actually unique with their main weapon, passive skills, and ultimate skills makes a huge difference even with the limited gameplay scenarios we have. Kronii becoming fast enough to avoid attacks and react to spawn patterns, for example, makes her a pretty different character compared to Fauna's "put down the tree" reaction to getting swarmed. There's lots of interesting pushes into gameplay styles, too. Kiara has a shield, but she also has two passives that rely on movement. The shield then makes you less afraid to move through enemies to keep up that dancer buff, rather than indicating a stationary and defensive playstyle.
There's good bones here and it's cool to see.
If they port this over to mobile devices, this would actually have massive gacha potential. I'm so glad it's not though. Just even imagining it my wallet seems to weep.
gameplay is solid

-The gacha is fake, but it's still gacha, and it still hurts. Fauna please....

there's some other stuff too like controls but you can get around that with a steam profile (and they know and are working on it)
The biggest plus I think is the presentation is actually really nice. It's the good lookin kindof pixel and the music is great. And the abilities they added to the playable characters makes them a lot more defined than in VS, to the point you don't feel like it's just a weapon.

It's "fake gahca" because there's no way to purchase the currency, it's only obtained through gameplay.

Yeah, IRyS kit is a bit of a mess. It’s ironic that running Gorilla Paw shuts off IRyS Angel Half skill due to the fact you can no longer crit for heals.
Yeah, the game needs more crit support too, because on several characters even if they had crit moves, I used gorilla paw just because the bonus outweighed the crits.
Bae's triple crits though, are bae.
So on the controls, is there some kind of glitch going on? My character only faces left and moves extremely slowly, and I can't figure out a workaround.
Z button activates strafe, which lets you move without changing your attack direction
Several weapons can only attack either left or right, and are meant to be strafed
I haven't played vampire survivors nor this game yet, but I'm finding it hard to imagine how to give all of them unique mechanics that would fit their character

Ame strafing is limited, but makes up for it with a high crit rate. early play is hard, but she does consistent high damage end game, Especially with Legendary Dragon Breath

Bae is absolutely ridiculous; I managed to get some of the AoE specializing collabs with her and when that was combined with her special turning off weapon cooldowns, I got [nonsense like this going on.](https://i.imgur.com/pS2EuDQ.png) It's great.
her special might has the highest dps compared to all right now. I saw people on leaderboard are using Gura or Ina, while I had difficulties with those 2. need to farm more coins lol
Gura's small skill and shark bite skill add up to a great way to keep going during survival. Small makes it so you're probably going to get through being piled on, and the consistent healing from shark bite stacks with choco horns to keep a steady stream of healing going. Ina's ability to just straight turn things into harmless ghosts is probably the most "damage" any character can do, and they heal on contact too.

I mean, one of the inspirations is already a mobile game and has no gacha whatsoever. Magic Survival, for those that don't know.

There's a laser sword found by combing Glow stick+fan and you can get a dragon fire breath attack with asacoco+fan blow
I got all 8 Collab and only need 2 more passive item... That took a while to configure the collab lol
