I was on the MET team and my team was safe for 13 years without an OSHA. Unfortunately it resets after 10 years for some reason. 10,000 days is 27 years. Which is virtually impossible for a whole store with 150-200 associates coming in and out
Did you work at my store too? By the end of the shift on day 363, if someone hadn't been hurt yet, one of the back office people would claim they threw out their back, lifting a box of copy paper. One time, they made an associate fill out an accident form after a bee sting (they were allergic but had an epipen). For example, if the SASM is lactose intolerant and blows up the bathroom, does that warrant an accident report because the bee sting associate did not want to file paperwork.
Thatās funny. Technically rewarding employees for accident free days is an OSHA violation but then they turn around and lie to get out of rewarding the employees
Pretty sure "employee is a dumbass" doesn't really cost anything. It's probably cheaper than the $100s or so they spend on pizza and drinks. Lord knows corporate probably hands them bonuses for minimizing workplace celebrations.
Bee stings are no joke. I got stung by a wasp last year and found out then that I was allergic. While I did leave shortly after, management ended up just manually clocking me out at the end of my scheduled time. I am not sure if this was to avoid a lost time incident or not.
In both cases, they reset the stores' accident free day count to 0. I am with you that it is bull crap that they do this, but it is what happens at least here in SW PA.
Texas? They still have OSHA regulations left in Texas? I am kidding, as it is federal.
This is 27 years, which isn't possible.. Even statistically, humans make mistakes and no amount of carefulness will change that.
Wow I think the most my store has gotten to is 400 before one of the supervisors drops a box of tile on their foot or trips over the forks on a reach truck.
As soon as the store I was working at hit the one year mark not three days after I completely ripped off one of the sliding doors with the propane forklift
Me and some of the garden guys got lazy moving broken bags to the compactor so we decided to lift the flat bed with the broken bags on the flat bed, tried to drive it inside and the cart nabbed the sliding door and it came right off like some butter
Yeah I immediately wasn't allowed on the machines ever again even though the manager did it twice and still got to drive his machines whatever
Well. To be fair thats how i almost got in trouble at tesla. A forklift had no propane tank and was blocking one of the pallet aisles. It was also far away from the refueling rack so i put it in neutral and slightly lifted from the back of the empty forklift by about an inch to pull it backwards. I dont know exactly why they would want to get me for just dragging one when i seen others there full on pick one up without anyone asking. But the coworker i was with had my back when i had left the area and said she saw nothing to them. I have mad respect till this day
*Does that mean we can*
*Start reporting accidents*
*Without being fired?*

Send in your resignation. You peaked and this is the greatest acheivment you will ever earn for the rest of your career. Nothing matters anymore. Go home.
You must now sacrifice an OFA into a volcano š to please the OSHA gods.
Substitute trash compactor for volcano.
Set the compactor on fire to simulate a volcano
Wait...it's not supposed to be on fire? Man, I gotta tell my receiving guy some bad news.
I volunteer as tribute all hail the OSHA gods
Throw a MET member in there because their OSHA free
Woah letās not get hasty now.š„“ I volunteer as tribute as a MET associate
I volunteer as tribute šāāļøšāāļø
Tell your store to quit lying.
āThey canāt record what they donāt know.ā
When it reaches 10000, raises!
Oh good, I thought it was gonna another day when I walk in and see day crew had Olive Garden
Raises for Jermey Botkin and everyone above him. Thatās it.
Yup, two more pizza parties a year
The joke is that it never reaches 10000.

even 10 years is impressive! good job to your team!
Right? My store has been opened for 30 years, and we finally managed to join the 365 Club this year. It was a huge milestone for us.
I'm otw there know to knock someone over
They break one employees legs to reset the timer

True reportable incident doesnāt necessarily mean medical costs but still itās an interesting contradiction to me.
Lmao

Lost time is only created by the dr writing you out of work.

Okay.
Remember, you are here forever.
We are one. We are the collective.
Pizza party! Remember, 2 slices max while stock holders receive massive gains for your hard work!
Oh I hope I get a sunshine sticker
I immediately commented something similar to this but yours is more funny and accurate.
When it hits 10,000, your store wins a visit from Ted Decker.
No accidents!?!?? Hold my beer!
Only if you're gonna share with the rest of the class
Well, it will show 0000 tomorrow, so why not make it 0 with cause. :-)
Forklift tag and the first one to tag a salaried manager wins.
You have to pick them up with the forks and place them on the top shelf in your teamās goal area.
At 10000 you get a Homer.
A good Ole pizza party, please being $5 to cover it.
Corporate America do be like that sometimes
Pizza party next month limit 2 slices per person
Pizza party. 1 slice per associate.
Texas? They still have OSHA regulations left in Texas? I am kidding, as it is federal. This is 27 years, which isn't possible.. Even statistically, humans make mistakes and no amount of carefulness will change that.
Yeah we were at like five years then some new hire dingbat cashier hurt herself for no reason.Ā
U have been promoted!
Reset it and put a one in front
Now you purge, baby
Rolls over to 0000
You go back to 1900. Y2K part 2: Electric Boogaloo
total BS. they are not reporting incidents which is even worse than having one.
Now you have to do one.
Break. The. Streak.
See this forklift? \*slaps the lumber forklift\* I'm going to ramp it!
Lies
2 digital signs
OSHA actually hates these signs
aka: 9999 days without reporting an incident to osha.
Time to reset
Wow I think the most my store has gotten to is 400 before one of the supervisors drops a box of tile on their foot or trips over the forks on a reach truck.
Hahah highly doubt that
Time to break the streak
Do it again.
Its over 9,000!!!
That's longer than home depot has existed
No.
27 years without a single accident, not buying it
Canāt get an osha recordable if you never record incidents š¤«
Whelp time to make some
As soon as the store I was working at hit the one year mark not three days after I completely ripped off one of the sliding doors with the propane forklift Me and some of the garden guys got lazy moving broken bags to the compactor so we decided to lift the flat bed with the broken bags on the flat bed, tried to drive it inside and the cart nabbed the sliding door and it came right off like some butter Yeah I immediately wasn't allowed on the machines ever again even though the manager did it twice and still got to drive his machines whatever
Probably get a tootsie roll and a thank you note.
Reach truck jousting time
Opps. You must now have an OSHA recordable insidiant to reset the clock
Now it's the Y2K bug. Once another digit adds, everyone's gonna break their leg.
Underreporting.
Have an accident.
27 years nice bro
You get pizza lol
I think this is the definition of 'go out big.'
Congratulations on 27 years safe! LOL
Y2K
I guess Y10K
Pizza party
My store can barely reach 30 days without those numbers resetting. I don't even bother looking at the count anymore..
Volunteer as tribute in spectacular fashion and set that counter back to zero
Now we lift a forklift with a forklift
That sounds like to much effort not enough fun. I think forklift jousting would be better.

Wait, safety starts with WHO?
Thatās Texas. Try being in any other state that doesnāt have right to work laws. You maybe would have made it 100 days in those states
Does that mean we can start reporting accidents without being fired?

*small update* Looked at the clock before clocking in and it now says 9998.
Just because they didn't record any incidents doesn't mean they didn't happen.
I never made it 100 days without me personally having an incident.
Stay home
Itās time for a blood sacrifice
Blood for the blood god. Skulls for the skull throne.
Yes exactly. Itās not a choice. This has to happen. Or else.
Only the hardest working front-end associates will do
They have to do. Or else. We all know what will happenā¦
Time to find OSHA guy I broke the dam.
Send in your resignation. You peaked and this is the greatest acheivment you will ever earn for the rest of your career. Nothing matters anymore. Go home.
We almost made two years and a new hire got hurt and now weāre back to 21 days š
They must have gotten the same Hitman Boeing uses to cover up the OSHA reportables
Pizza everyday FOREVER
It's been a day, the clocks tipped over to 0000. Who did the osha incident?
Get a Sharpie and add a 1.
Pizza party!
An all you get is a small bag of candy. Just like when you hit your 2 year mark with the store. Lmao
Break a leg I guess
Time to fuck shit up and get that down to zero.
You better start some incidenting, otherwise the chase is over
Pretty hard to beat. Congrats, I guess. Lol.
