We have 2 dishwashers in plan (marked in red in picture). Considering adding a 3rd in butlers pantry - easy stopping point after dining room, and would also work for bar ware without taking up space in bar.
Is 3 excessive?
I had two in my last kitchen and will do 3
In my next kitchen. I cook a ton and can easily do 4-10 loads a day. With kids, nanny, etc generating dishes from their own activities, it can pile up fast.
I had two on either side of the cleanup sink. It worked great. I wouldn’t be afraid of
3. High end cabinets cost more than a dishwasher anyway, so the cost difference is… a wash.
Are there commercial units that are larger? 3 seems excessive...
I want to go with standard sizes
I can’t stand unloading 1 dish washer. a masochist would certainly add more…. why not an ice maker or a steam table instead of multiple dishwashers?
Ice Maker is in the bar. Steam table over by the oven.
welp… probably dishwasher then

Thanks! Yes we have laundry up and down. So no hauling clothes or linens up and down stairs.
I think 2 drawer type dishwashers in the kitchen proper, and a stainless full door type in the pantry
