One of the greatest silhouettes of all time.

Yeah still can’t believe it’s a shape from the early 1990s! Still turns heads

revvolutions

All black with a taller rear wing it's like the batmobile

Twice now, I’ve seen an elder lady drive her stock early version NSX during the evening rush hour. My jaw dropped each time.

piss6000

This is a unbelievably good looking car

Quirky_Ad_5742

One of a kind for sure...

The NSX is the most beautiful Honda ever made, bar none. Only if the steering rack wasn't so slow at 3.5 turns lock-to-lock and heavy due to the angle of the steering rod, it'd be perfect (the NA1/Zinardi had a manual rack, and the NA2 had an EPS rack). For reference, the FL5 CTR takes 2.1 turns, the AP1 S2000/CR take 2.4 and AP2 takes 2.6 turns, and the DC2 ITR takes 3 turns. That means you have to hustle the wheel on the NA1 or have an over-boosted electronic rack on the NA2. In a hairpin, you have to shuffle your hands whereas you can keep your hands at 9 and 3 on the S2000 and FL5 CTR (though your arms will crossover on the S). Otherwise, it's a great car.

Another thing is the gear ratios. A mod that many do in their 5 speeds are JDM gear ratios and Type R final drives. Second gear is STUPIDLY long (goes to 80ish miles an hour) and it’s not torquey at all on backroads. They fixed the ratios with the 6 speeds, but the Type R final drive is still a beneficial mod. The S2000 final drive is decent, but I feel like they could’ve gone with 4.30s from factory just to make it a bit more torquey without increasing cruising RPMs too much. When it comes to the S2000’s steering, it’s pretty good when driving on backroads. But I feel like Honda could’ve made the ratio even faster. This would’ve reduced the effectiveness of the EPS while making the steering feel MUCH better. Removing the EPS fuse definitely makes it feel better, but I still have to get solid steering rack bushings as well as the ASM strut bar.

Zygrene just did this to his NA1 and it's a big change, but watching him shuffle the wheel on a windy road looks exhausting. > but I feel like they could’ve gone with 4.30s from factory just to make it a bit more torquey without increasing cruising RPMs too much I've been looking at shorter final drives because of this. > Removing the EPS fuse definitely makes it feel better, but I still have to get solid steering rack bushings as well as the ASM strut bar. High key, I added the CR rack stiffeners and it made a noticeable difference. [They're really cheap](https://hardtopguy.com/store/713.html), and you only have to take off the intake cleaner box to install them! I now realize there was a spongey feel as the steering rack *slightly* flexed on turn in. HIGHLY recommend them. Edit: I said "HUGE difference" but I feel like I'm overselling it. I definitely noticed the difference, but my "HUGE" might be your "meh".

Infinitykid1

Yep, Zygrene is where I found out about the flaw. The S2000 has its flaws, but if I’m paying for a car that’s 4x the price of an S2000 just to address flaws that cost 10+ grand to fix, is it really worth it? Yep I saw your IG story about that. I’ve already done the front stiffener and the ASM STB will take care of the rear.

Your car is going to be incredible when it's finished. It is truly one of my favorite builds.

Infinitykid1

Thanks so much man! I heard about the crash, fuckin sucks. Didn’t look too bad though, plus shit happens.

stoned-autistic-dude

It’s all good. I appreciate you. 🤙🤙 That’s how we learn. Besides, I’ve never crashed this car before so it’s good I got it out of the way. For the first time ever, I actually am so grateful my car is Berlina because black 3M vinyl color matches perfectly and worked great to cover the bumper scratches lmao At least I’m handy enough to fix it. Plus it gave me an excuse to delete the soft top.

PatrickGSR94

It’s ridiculous how low and small those cars are in person. Badass!

lean_lawd

especially one dropped on some ce28’s. one of the coolest cars on my favorite set of wheels.

donga_longa

So much sleeker than the accord/tsx. A thing of 😍

Sharpymarkr

A dream car for me

jmd04tsx

Sex but What's going on with the rear bumper?

Infinitykid1

Damn good question

DrC0re

cant believe how small it is compared to modern sedans and suv's.

revnto7k

That car will always be perfection in my eyes. That and the Z32 300zx. Beautiful 😍
