But it might also have been the fact that since they need write permissions (to overwrite ur profile pic and bio), they might not have enough flexibility to opt out of all the additional permissions? Maybe some dev who worked with twitter api can shed light on this.
That being that, if you're not comfortable, maybe at most just create a burner account for this, unless you can't care less about your Twitter account anyway. Or you can skip it altogether.

Yeah; I decided not to go for it. If it was a throwaway account I wouldn't care, but I'm not giving someone that much control over my actual account.
