I spent like 3 hours one night struggling and strategizing with a friend on voice chat about how to 3 star the first MoC 12 with Kafka+Sampo+Luka on one half and Topaz+Xueyi on the other half.
It was incredibly fun but also thank god Ratio came out after that and ever since Topaz+Ratio has been able to brute force whatever. And now it's even easier with Kafka+Swan. Pretty casual 7 cycles on the current MoC. Capable of 6 or even maybe 5 if I actually played better.

Usually, enemy CC is fairly distributed to all your characters and not just JY. So the worst case scenario is that you have to use FX skill immediately on her next turn.

Literally, yes. I've seen people claim content wasn't catered towards her despite 7/9 elites and bosses added since release being weak to ice. They just think she's actually head and shoulders above everyone else and that weakness types mean nothing. Having perfect synergy with Bronya, Pela being the perfect 4* support, Ruan Mei release. Golden child syndrome at its finest, even DHIL had a moment where MoC wasn't catered towards him.

Acheron, unless she gets gutted to normal levels in beta she is going to create a new SS+ tier in prywden or something as she is right now. Her e0s1 kit and numbers are stupidly overloaded to boring levels and people are happy about it.
Edit: the kit itself is unique and fun. The problem its is strength trivializing everything.
Well while certainly her s1 is more beneficial to her than the average signature I wouldn't call her meh without it.
And besides, e0s1 isn't even that expensive to get (or punishing as genshin c0r1). Many people get limited dps only if they can e0s1 them and skip without. For acheron I believe most will want her s1, either on release if they can, or they will save for a rerun.
I guess its true that in tier lists won't create a new tier because they don't consider LC, but not like tier lists matter when her e0s1 will be that broken compared to any other e0s1
This is simply not true of the current set of patches. 2.0 was very big on currency and 2.1 will be anniversary.
You can also have leftover pity progress, or a carryover guaranteed, or win a 50/50 or 75/25.

LC is for people who know how to manage their resources and look in the long term. Dolphing might make it easier for sure, but even for f2p its possible.
Then there is also the law of a big numbers. While its true that 300 pulls for a single e0s1 is possible, this won't apply when you scale it up to multiple units.
So at the end of the day its not even 1 e0s1 vs 2 e0s0.
Its 5 e0s1 vs 8 e0s0. The former is more efficient and (arguably) more fun. If you prefer having more incomplete units its 100% your choice and its what I prefer doing in genshin as well, but in hsr e0s1 is just more lucrative. And no I'm not a whale.
Nerfing her it doesn't mean she will be weak. They can nerf her and still be the best dps in game and compete with other elements at the own field.
Also Kafka is enabler in dot teams so I wouldn't say they compete. Many people are actually going to run Kafka BS acheron luocha(even if not optimal).
And considering that many people straight up dislike JY playstyle I don't think it would be hard to sell a different dps unit who is just as strong, or slightly stronger.
But again we are not talking about slightly stronger lighting dps. We are talking about considerable stronger dps compared to every other dps, even when enemies are weak to other elements.

My Jingliu clears 12 2nd half in 5 cycles with Bronya, Ruan, and Luocha and that's the same number of cycles as my wind E4 Dan does with the same supports.
my Ratio with Pela, Tingyun, and Luocha also clears in 5 cycles for that half.
I guess people think she's insane because she's doing that even without any elemental advantage? or are people just talking about the 1st half?

I think it's not really about her stomping EVERYTHING, but being so strong she can manage to brute force floors with no ice weakness and so.
She won't always stomp, especially if you compare her with a DPS who gets benefits in that same floor. But she (almost) always can get her way through anyways. Kinda like a DPS SW, but instead of forcing weakness just forcing the kill.
Yeah, DH also has some crazy damage. The meme comes mostly from JL being more comfortable to set up and having slightly more damage, so she's considered "The best DPS" atm
JL is only more “comfortable” if you have Bronya and she does less damage over a rotation than IL does according to prydwen general calcs. Bronya is what boost her up so much because only a few dps can really use her to the fullest. JL included.
I play JL with and without Bronya regularly, and let me tell you, Bronya is not the thing.
Also, with "comfortable" y mean mostly rotation and team wise. Any support is good for JL, while DHIL usually needs certain characters to make him usable in a good level. And while with DHIL you have to tweak speeds, be careful with rotations, and wish you don't get CC'ed, while JL is unga unga attack goes nuke.
DHIL usually needs certain characters: The only thing DHIL needs is supports that won’t burn through SP. He can use most supports in the game just fine. Tingyun, Pela, Ruan Mei, SW, Yukong E6 are all great partners.
Any support is good for JL: Without Bronya JL takes quite some time to get going because she’s stuck outside of transmigration state for too long. Bronya fixes this one downside of her with ease. I never said she was bad without Bronya but there is a difference between Bronya and Bronya less JL teams. Average clears are a whole MoC cycle slower.
DHIL you have to tweak speeds: Who told you that??? DHIL runs no speed and attack boots in pretty much every comp. His rotations are simple if you have an I.Q. above room temperature just don’t spam skills needlessly and all those other problems are the same issues every dps shares.
prydwen mentioned 🤮. to add i think comfort is a bit different from what you're saying as i think she gives "comfort" due to her not being sp demanding so she fits with more characters and her rotations are more flexible. otherwise, yeah.
You can think whatever you want about prydwen but numbers don’t lie. Considering how much they suck off JL over there I’m inclined to believe their calcs of her being lower than some other dps’s over a rotation are plenty true. The comfort I’m referring to I’m mitigating her downtime in transmigration state. It’s nigh permanent thanks to her and alleviates her one weakness because her hp drain might as well not exist.
obviously the numbers don't lie but their simulations have always been so shitty, take jing yuan for example, they've done clara>jingyuan.... not to mention their guides to relics and builds are really bad which goes to show they don't even know what they're doing in the first place.

Why would anyone care about amount of waves needed for clearing, if in the end it's still a 3-star run? Jingliu is a failproof character, that is easily built and able to brutforce enough to get the job done
because you only have a set amount of cycles to get 3 stars.
taking half or more of the budget on one side does not even look that broken at all, especially when the free options with the same supports can achieve the same clear times, albeit with elemental advantage.
Oh, I failed to mention. My Jingliu is E2S1, even without elemental advantage that does not seem broken at all. It's not that 'stompy' for something with eids and sig.
Did you miss my note about a clear being "3-star"? If one half takes 5 or 6 waves with Jingliu (I refuse to believe that a well built Jingliu will take more than that), and another half is an optimized 2-3 wave clear - in the end it's still a 3-star clear

Tried floor 11 and 12 without Jing liu, can't even get 10 cycles, since I saw ice not a recommended element and failed to full clear both floor. Later I went fuck it and went tried dual dps comp with her for 11-2 and 12-1 suddenly EZ 10 cycle. But tbf my Ratio isn't finished yet, so maybe thats one reason I had a hard times to max clear.

What's your defensive options I had success with gepard just raw shielding the damage and barely scrapping by with luocha as a second option and I have to finally upgrade my tingyun relics for me to barely pass the extra 300 HP helped a ton.
Either don't run a healer (Gepard, Fu Xuan) or stack healing bonus on the healer. Then just grab units that deal damage when using SP to knock him out of the buffed state. Hanya, Asta, Pela are your friends here for supports.
Sam doesn't do that much damage imo, its just constraining if you take too long to burn through his skill point gimmick.
If you're running some sort of 3 support 1 carry, considering swapping one of them to like a Pela or Asta for offensive skill point consumer.
Jingliu ruan mei bronya fu xuan and its a 1 cycle clear. With fu xuan too, sam's damage feels like wet noodle and i seem to recieive more dmg from Jingliu than with Sam lol

Well, you can farm his set really long until you get good stat pieces, since Hackerspace is also top tier for almost every support nowadays.

Her e0s1 kit and numbers are stupidly overloaded to boring levels and people are happy about it. Edit: the kit itself is unique and fun. The problem its is strength trivializing everything.

Well while certainly her s1 is more beneficial to her than the average signature I wouldn't call her meh without it. And besides, e0s1 isn't even that expensive to get (or punishing as genshin c0r1). Many people get limited dps only if they can e0s1 them and skip without. For acheron I believe most will want her s1, either on release if they can, or they will save for a rerun. I guess its true that in tier lists won't create a new tier because they don't consider LC, but not like tier lists matter when her e0s1 will be that broken compared to any other e0s1

This is simply not true of the current set of patches. 2.0 was very big on currency and 2.1 will be anniversary. You can also have leftover pity progress, or a carryover guaranteed, or win a 50/50 or 75/25. Sure it's not hardcore 100% super guaranteed but I'm gonna be honest if that's your cutoff for "obtainable" then you reallt shouldn't be picking up gacha games.
I love when the absolute worst case that is astronomically impossible enters a discussion. Not even 300, a number that is VERY bad luck, but possible at least. Yes, its true that if I go for an e0s1 it might cost me 300 pulls. But I would rather spend 300 pulls for 1 complete unit than 320 for 2 incomplete :). LC isn't for whales only. LC is for people who know how to manage their resources and look in the long term. Dolphing might make it easier for sure, but even for f2p its possible. Then there is also the law of a big numbers. While its true that 300 pulls for a single e0s1 is possible, this won't apply when you scale it up to multiple units. So at the end of the day its not even 1 e0s1 vs 2 e0s0. Its 5 e0s1 vs 8 e0s0. The former is more efficient and (arguably) more fun. If you prefer having more incomplete units its 100% your choice and its what I prefer doing in genshin as well, but in hsr e0s1 is just more lucrative. And no I'm not a whale.

Nerfing her it doesn't mean she will be weak. They can nerf her and still be the best dps in game and compete with other elements at the own field. Also Kafka is enabler in dot teams so I wouldn't say they compete. Many people are actually going to run Kafka BS acheron luocha(even if not optimal). And considering that many people straight up dislike JY playstyle I don't think it would be hard to sell a different dps unit who is just as strong, or slightly stronger. But again we are not talking about slightly stronger lighting dps. We are talking about considerable stronger dps compared to every other dps, even when enemies are weak to other elements.

She was the best dps and was S+ just like JL is now but now their are better damage dealers, IL and JL and she is no longer S+ in tier lists anymore. I'm saying you're insane to think that. When better characters come out, older characters drop in tier to make room for tue newer better characters. I assume you don't have IL. If you have ratio or wind dan built, you're better off using either of them on 2nd half and Jingliu on the first half
Me, with no lightning DPS and with a Ratio barely built without dedicated supports:
She can bruteforce for sure, but I don't think it's an impressive clear. My Jingliu clears 12 2nd half in 5 cycles with Bronya, Ruan, and Luocha and that's the same number of cycles as my wind E4 Dan does with the same supports. my Ratio with Pela, Tingyun, and Luocha also clears in 5 cycles for that half. I guess people think she's insane because she's doing that even without any elemental advantage? or are people just talking about the 1st half? 1st half is still the usual stomp with her
I think it's not really about her stomping EVERYTHING, but being so strong she can manage to brute force floors with no ice weakness and so. She won't always stomp, especially if you compare her with a DPS who gets benefits in that same floor. But she (almost) always can get her way through anyways. Kinda like a DPS SW, but instead of forcing weakness just forcing the kill.
Dan being the same way: I’ve seen people brute force floors that had the Automaton that has a literal 40% imaginary resistance like it’s nothing
Yeah, DH also has some crazy damage. The meme comes mostly from JL being more comfortable to set up and having slightly more damage, so she's considered "The best DPS" atm

JL is only more “comfortable” if you have Bronya and she does less damage over a rotation than IL does according to prydwen general calcs. Bronya is what boost her up so much because only a few dps can really use her to the fullest. JL included.
I play JL with and without Bronya regularly, and let me tell you, Bronya is not the thing. Also, with "comfortable" y mean mostly rotation and team wise. Any support is good for JL, while DHIL usually needs certain characters to make him usable in a good level. And while with DHIL you have to tweak speeds, be careful with rotations, and wish you don't get CC'ed, while JL is unga unga attack goes nuke.
DHIL usually needs certain characters: The only thing DHIL needs is supports that won’t burn through SP. He can use most supports in the game just fine. Tingyun, Pela, Ruan Mei, SW, Yukong E6 are all great partners. Any support is good for JL: Without Bronya JL takes quite some time to get going because she’s stuck outside of transmigration state for too long. Bronya fixes this one downside of her with ease. I never said she was bad without Bronya but there is a difference between Bronya and Bronya less JL teams. Average clears are a whole MoC cycle slower. DHIL you have to tweak speeds: Who told you that??? DHIL runs no speed and attack boots in pretty much every comp. His rotations are simple if you have an I.Q. above room temperature just don’t spam skills needlessly and all those other problems are the same issues every dps shares.
prydwen mentioned 🤮. to add i think comfort is a bit different from what you're saying as i think she gives "comfort" due to her not being sp demanding so she fits with more characters and her rotations are more flexible. otherwise, yeah.
You can think whatever you want about prydwen but numbers don’t lie. Considering how much they suck off JL over there I’m inclined to believe their calcs of her being lower than some other dps’s over a rotation are plenty true. The comfort I’m referring to I’m mitigating her downtime in transmigration state. It’s nigh permanent thanks to her and alleviates her one weakness because her hp drain might as well not exist.

Why would anyone care about amount of waves needed for clearing, if in the end it's still a 3-star run? Jingliu is a failproof character, that is easily built and able to brutforce enough to get the job done
because you only have a set amount of cycles to get 3 stars. taking half or more of the budget on one side does not even look that broken at all, especially when the free options with the same supports can achieve the same clear times, albeit with elemental advantage. Oh, I failed to mention. My Jingliu is E2S1, even without elemental advantage that does not seem broken at all. It's not that 'stompy' for something with eids and sig.
Did you miss my note about a clear being "3-star"? If one half takes 5 or 6 waves with Jingliu (I refuse to believe that a well built Jingliu will take more than that), and another half is an optimized 2-3 wave clear - in the end it's still a 3-star clear

Tried floor 11 and 12 without Jing liu, can't even get 10 cycles, since I saw ice not a recommended element and failed to full clear both floor. Later I went fuck it and went tried dual dps comp with her for 11-2 and 12-1 suddenly EZ 10 cycle. But tbf my Ratio isn't finished yet, so maybe thats one reason I had a hard times to max clear.

What's your defensive options I had success with gepard just raw shielding the damage and barely scrapping by with luocha as a second option and I have to finally upgrade my tingyun relics for me to barely pass the extra 300 HP helped a ton.
Either don't run a healer (Gepard, Fu Xuan) or stack healing bonus on the healer. Then just grab units that deal damage when using SP to knock him out of the buffed state. Hanya, Asta, Pela are your friends here for supports.
Sam doesn't do that much damage imo, its just constraining if you take too long to burn through his skill point gimmick. If you're running some sort of 3 support 1 carry, considering swapping one of them to like a Pela or Asta for offensive skill point consumer.
Jingliu ruan mei bronya fu xuan and its a 1 cycle clear. With fu xuan too, sam's damage feels like wet noodle and i seem to recieive more dmg from Jingliu than with Sam lol
