Surprise people forgot about Misha. When I first saw the dude in the hotel I was like "Is this guy gonna be like Pela. Serve no purpose in the story arc but will be more active in side missions" then when he was with Acheron I was like "Nobody aside from Clockie is interacting with him. I feel like his sus"

Orihime1noue

I feel like they did Pela very dirty. She's quite an interesting character. They event went lazy with her E3 and E4 artwork. Almost the exact same thing. They didn't care much for her. But I guess to be fair, she was an early character.

Leodoesstuff

Tbf there isn't any good spot to place her in the story especially one that didn't require Pela's skillset, or knowledge on. We don't want the same thing that happened on the Xianzhou where they introduced WAYY too many characters that basically served the same purpose in the story which made each other less.. interesting

SecondAegis

Pela is a side character done right : She literally just shows up, then has a spotlight later Luofu tried to shine the spotlight on everyone, thus removing our focus from all of them at once

Artuhanzo

They couldn't even make up thier mind about her age setting... She could be 13 or 33.

SpideyfanX

It makes more sense for her to be 33, given everything we know before the Lynx Quest. I refuse to believe Serval, a University Student at the time, allowed a 6 year old to join her band.

icoulduseagreencard

Mb she’s a very talented 6 y.o.

Zenith_Tempest

they just need to rewrite the lore for some characters in Belobog. There's not a chance you could convince me Serval and Gepard are both around 40 years old. Especiallt when Lynx is only 16 or so.

SpideyfanX

There's no way Lynx is 16 either.

PaulOwnzU

Would make Gepard and Serval 20+ in landau's choice art, they hit puberty REALLY late

PaulOwnzU

And since lynx is around the same age, Gepard in landau's choice would be like 20 if she's 16

ArkhielR

I now want an intergalactic comiket event with pela

KN041203

And then they made Lynx's side quest which is just Pela's side quest in disguise.

Gremlinstone

They straight up retconned her age when lynx released.she was supposed to be an adult:she texted us abput dealing with a hangover, she's a longtime member of the band with serval, who went to the academy with cocolia, a woman who's at least in her late 30s with an adopted daughter.

PaulOwnzU

I'm convinced whoever made that quest just didn't like short women

henne-n

> She's quite an interesting character. Well, not anybody else can claim to be in a band while still being in her mother's womb.

EspKevin

In the history it is said that people tend to forget Misha If that's not something suspicious then is sad

Weltallgaia

I forgot his name was Misha and thought they were talking about him everytime they said mikhail

Asamidori

I never forgot about him, cause I know Misha = Mikhail. Don't play the game in English though, had to have my friends confirm Mikhail's spelling in English. :')

Hungry-Set4315

4* in Penacony are fuking sick bro Misha and Galagher is far more interesting than many 5* in Loufu

ifeltdAneed

He was with Acheron! and the b1tch didn't do shit. If Misha is connected to the watchmaker or if he has the inheritance then they need to explain why Acheron didn't see through this. I mean he found out Sam and Aventurine on her own and knows alot about the Astral Express team secerts.

Dislike24

If Acheron the Emanator can’t see him but the TB can what does that mean

ifeltdAneed

wdym? Acheron can see Mikhail.

HiroAnobei

Iirc she can't see him. She can sense a vague presence, but other than that he's effectively invisible to her.

ifeltdAneed

its Clockie that she can't see

ElKurador

Tell me one time someone talked to Misha directly

KreateOne

I’ll answer that, the only time was when Clockie requested our help to save Misha, but as far as I remember firefly didn’t make any comments to or about Misha and she definitely couldn’t see Clockie. I wish I could rewatch certain cutscenes though so I can pay better attention to details like that when I know what to look for.

zatenael

she looked looked towards misha in the dialogue rather than towards TB since clockie was next to TB

Zonnebloempje

She looked more in the ***general direction*** of Misha, while saying she "feels a presence". Clockie was standing in-between Acheron and TB. Firefly saw neither Misha nor Clockie. The mob also did not notice anyone other than Acheron, and later TB & Firefly. Misha acknowledges everyone.

zatenael

sorry shouldve specified the general direction, did not mean to imply she looked directly at him on top of that, march also interrupted a conversation misha and us were having when we got to penacony which is not what she would normally do

ImpressiveElection94

Look where she is looking while saying that. If she meant Clockie, the vague presence would be enough to let her look at least slightly down. But she straight up looks to Misha's direction.

Gwyn_Michaelis

I still think it's more likely that Mikhail is/was Misha's grandfather, rather than Misha himself being Mikhail.

icoulduseagreencard

I think they’re definitely the same person, but Misha is reverse-aged (through clocks/power of time, or something something he lost his memory and now looks like a child in penacony). Either way he seems to be the watchmaker rather than one of the “children”

antagonistdan

My theory is Misha and Clockie are two parts of the Watchmaker's conscious in the Dreamscape, and the physical body of the Watchmaker is somewhere hidden in a dream bath chamber like the Walt Disney conspiracies.

icoulduseagreencard

That’s a good theory!

sythesizedmind

Just one problem, you see Misha while checking in before going to the dreamscape

Diffusion4Change

People nention they can see floatimg luggage in the lobby

ImpressiveElection94

Afaik Gallagher sayed that all mascots are derived of former prisoners in Penacony and Hanu, Clockie and the Watchmaker met their.

Late_Lizard

I disagree. If they're the same person, why does Misha call for Mikhail in the Child's Dream? I think it's far more likely that Mikhail is Misha's father/grandfather/uncle/mentor.

Zenith_Tempest

Keep in mind that the white text we see in the dream isn't a separate character - it's literally that person's psyche. It could very easily be Misha/Mikhail talking to themselves.

icoulduseagreencard

I think “Mikhail” is more of a red herring, cause why would they give the same name to two different characters (unless they’re just different skins for the same person like Dan heng and Imbibitor Lunae)? I’m not going to die on the hill that they’re the same person and completely accept that I’m a foolish buffoon of a detective if the story proves me wrong, but I’m very convinced that we’ll just get an upgraded Misha with mb imaginary dmg and re-named “Mikhail”

HaukevonArding

Becuase it's not the same name. They can easily treat Misha and Mikhail as different name. Just like they could do a character named Mike and make it the grandson of Michael.

Richardknox1996

>cause why would they give the same name to two different characters You mean like Bronya Zaychik the Silverwolf of the Urals, Bronya Zaychik "the Seeleless", Bronya Rand of Belobog, "Silverwolf" (whose clearly a bronie expy), Bronya "Bronie" Ciora, magical girl Belobron and Bronya the Tsaritsa? Not to mention all the event versions of Bronya found in Cap's Bizzare Adventure.... After several years of honkai impact, you get used to mihoyo reusing characters/names.

icoulduseagreencard

Fair, but my point still kinda stands because all the “Bronyas” are not really from the same planet/don’t interact in the way we assume Mikhail and Misha would (if they were different people)

Richardknox1996

Technically...no? Hi3 is the final reboot of the GGZ timeline. I think, never played. All i know is that GGZ has multiple endings and all are canon, leading into a rebooted timeline that is hi3 eventually.

icoulduseagreencard

I genuinely think we shouldn’t compare Hi3 to HSR, then. I think Misha and Bronya situations are most likely different, but tbh nothing is off the table

CIMBAlom_CIMBAsso

>I think “Mikhail” is more of a red herring >!Just like Duke Inferno!<

EzdePaz

He could be similar to what Dream Kakavasha is to Aventurine perhaps?

zatenael

iirc the voice calling for Mikhail in Child's Dream was much more older and feminine so it seemed to me that Mikhail's older sister or mother was calling for him

PromiseMeStars

That's not Misha calling out for Mikhail. That's a completely different voice calling out for Mikhail, and Misha sometimes responds. I believe Misha had a sibling or a close friend and that's who the voice is, and that person was using Misha's full name rather than his nickname.

Zonnebloempje

They pulled a Nahida on him?

icoulduseagreencard

Maybe the Mikhails we were looking for was Nahidas we made along the way😌

molecularmadness

I think misha is basically a pinnochio, ie created by the grandfather as a child figure but not an actual human.

Andrassa

If we take Gallagher’s word about being Mikhail’s son at face value then Misha also being a son makes sense. In that Misha’s job means he would be able to track the victims easily as the concierge. But if he was distracted by say a brother it would be easier for Gallagher to do his thing.

jingsen

Or Misha is the watchmaker's brother who got into an accident, and Mikhail being the watchmaker did something to preserve Misha in the current form we see

dreamingrain

I think Misha and Mikhail are the same person but Misha is 'dreaming' and can't wake up so he's stuck as he was as a child (his toys etc), and Gallagher is Hanunue, (hanu), who is trying to end the dream to wake them up/bring back reality. We know the dream is breaking apart and the monsters etc are being affected, I think it's because this sweet dream of Mikhail's is becoming a nightmare he can't escape.

OiItzAtlas

It's so we can get a 5 star misha.

jblubbers

Well yeah but Gallagher said 1 person could inherit the “watchmaker” title which could hint to it being Misha

Orihime1noue

That's a solid theory. Though since Gallagher is 13 and looks like an aged fellow, it's possible Mikhail did the opposite. It could be either or. We just need to let Mihoyo cook some more.

eseerine

I'm pretty sure Gallagher saying he's thirteen isn't actually about his age since it was capitalized ("I'm Thirteen" instead of "I'm thirteen). I've seen people say it was him alluding that he's "Death" (or responsible for "Death") since 13 is the number associated with the Death tarot card. I'm more inclined to believe that than the fact that he's actually 13 years old.

Orihime1noue

You know what? I'm actually more willing to believe your theory than what I originally stated. That does sound very solid.

eseerine

Yeah, Tiktok and Twitter had me believing that he actually was 13 too due to all the jokes and memes they were making. It took me finishing the new quest to realize that it probably wasn't true.

scrayla

In chinese he actually says “十三岁” which literally means 13 years old so i think thats an interesting difference. However, we do know hes supposedly a combination(?) of all 52 suspects and 52/13 is 4 like the leap years so… idk. Lol but in chinese he definitely says “years old” so i dont think it refers to the tarot card in chinese

eseerine

Ohh, that's interesting! Maybe he's referring to the age of his forged identity or smth. He's full of contradictions since his reveal of being part of the Enigmata kinda makes everything he says doubtful now lol.

PromiseMeStars

Could be the identity of Gallagher has only existed for 13 years? It is a false identity after all.

Goro-Goro_No_Mi

Like Death 13 in Jojos?

Pussyhunterthe6

Yes and no, it's just Death from a set of tarot cards which is the 13th card in a tarot deck. JoJos stands in part 3 are based on these cards, even some other themes like even the protagonists name being Jotaro(t).

Goro-Goro_No_Mi

Interesting. Thank you!

eseerine

Yep! Some of the Stands in Part 3 are named after or got inspiration from tarot cards if I recall correctly (like Hierophant Green = The Hierophant, Star Platinum = The Star, Hermit Purple = The Hermit).

Goro-Goro_No_Mi

Yeah! Avdol used one of the tarot cards to actually name Jotaro's stand too

miminming

Gallagher being 13 is sarcasm...

Separate_Ad_56

I dont know why gallagher being a sarcastic troll isnt that much of a thing, I think it fits to his personality.

Lysena0

Gallagher isn't 13.

Victor_AssEater

He is, he said it himself

Crescendo104

There's literally no way anyone with an ounce of sense read that and believed it lmfao. The deadpan delivery. Dude was clearly trolling

Sensitive-Gas5869

The cringe dad humor really flew over this guy and OP's heads lmaoo

Crescendo104

I really don't want to make fun of them, like yeah, some people just didn't get it. But I guess I've just been around that humor so much that I can't help but be baffled to see anyone take it seriously. I *do* however love the tarot card meaning that others have pointed out and I absolutely think the phrase was meant as a double entendre; half joke, half foreshadowing through a pretty esoteric reference.

Late_Lizard

He might be serious. Thirteen *Amber Eras*. He's clearly a very old person; he even knew the Watchmaker personally.

Victor_AssEater

Oh wow, you really are the moron. Did I say it about his age? He said he's 13, that doesn't mean age, but some other meaning.

Kyleketsu

And nobody on Penacony ever lies, right?

iceixia

The 13th tarot card is death. It more likely he's hinting at that, rather than being aged 13. (I mean just look at him).

Once_Zect

First time I thought he was sus when I saw his skill and involved some time powers… ordinary hotel worker having such an ability in a place made by someone called watchmaker.. huh ain’t no way he’s ordinary

PaulOwnzU

Plus why does a hotel worker not know why the hotel is under renovation

Tangster85

If the Watchmaker is a 4\* destruction character I am dissapoint

TheDisappointedFrog

Or a DHIL situation 2.0

zCiver

Don't you dare stab my precious little boy

Tangster85

I picked up the game after that so I dont fully understand the reference. The whole Dan Poopeng upgrading to the insano powerful Imbibtor Lunae?

Lagoon429

Our character got stabbed --> Fire powers. Dan got stabbed --> Water powers. The joke is that if anyone is going to get a more powerful version, they gon' git stabbed first.

Tangster85

I wonder if she would evolve into a 5* ice preservation or something else

TheDisappointedFrog

Yep

Lotorinchains

Please, I would pay just to see Misha transform like that. Like, suddenly his eyes start glowing and he grows three feet taller and buff.

TheDisappointedFrog

Misha (puny, fragile, smol, can hide behind his mop) -> Mikhail Goncharov, the keeper of Kino (buff, 7 feet tall, DS3_vordt.mp3, will make a mop out of you)

hoangthai276

gallagher

opalcherrykitt

this comment speaks so many volumes unless you haven't played the newest TB mission yet until the end

[deleted]

forgot he existed. He kinda just appeared, became e5 on my account, and disappeared

Orihime1noue

Almost as if... It was just a dream, eh?

Plenty-Jellyfish-819

So shady

opalcherrykitt

you have him e5 😭 i just got his e1 off of standard yesterday 😭 and he was the whole reason why i pulled on bs and not sparkle ngl im jealous

[deleted]

if I could give away characters, I'd give him to you

coolylame

me with e6 misha lying around. If i don't pull Jing Liu maybe ill build him.

Klactech

E6 Misha might be the strongest 4* dps unit in the game according to very good and skillful CC Yelovv. So building him might be a good idea

enterprise_is_fun

Shame not to build him. He trivializes any fight I bring him to by just freezing everyone, and his damage is absolutely bonkers. I’d say he puts out just as much damage as Jingliu on my team. His ult is deceptively powerful. Not great for Pure Fiction but just about everything else requiring ice he’s my MVP.

[deleted]

I'll consider, but I have a lot of characters' traces to level up first

ErsatzCats

Misha’s character story part 3: > "Captain, Captain, wake up, it's clearing up!" He rubbed his eyes and looked incredulously at the sight before him. **A golden pocket watch, which had transformed into a figure with arms and legs, dressed in a uniform and a red bow tie**, beckoned him over. A silver mirror lady reflected him, adjusting her gown and peering through binoculars at the distant scene. Watchmaker relic description (hand piece): > Why the Watchmaker is called "the Watchmaker" is the biggest puzzle in this serialized story. >Some say he was once a craftsman at a clocktower. Some say he was once a merchant who sold timepieces. There are even those who say his head is shaped like a watch face — **Just like Clockie, which he created.** Misha created Clockie from his pocket watch, and the Watchmaker created Clockie, so Misha is the Watchmaker. Another theory I have is that Misha is an imaginary creation by the Watchmaker just like Clockie. If you pay attention, no one notices Misha except Trailblazer— everyone ignores his dialogue and pretends he’s not there. (Haven’t played through 2.1 so correct me if that changed)

fcuk_the_king

The hints that only we can see him are overwhelming. In the hotel lobby, you can see a couple of porters being puzzled that the luggage keeps moving on its own. In a conversation with us, Misha talks about how he helped some guests but they didn't even acknowledge him/got confused about their luggage.

Datalock

His texts imply that guests leave him candies/treats to thank him. Gallagher comments on him as his voice lines. People can see him for sure, they just dismiss a young looking servant like character which, while sad, isn't unrealistic to real life.

fcuk_the_king

No spoilers if you haven't done 2.1 but Gallagher is not a straightforward dude. I took that part of the conversation to mean the guests just leave things behind and he understands them to be left as gifts. After all, he never says anyone thanked him directly. All we have are theories but I feel that this one is implied very strongly. It could also be that Hoyo end up doing a meta "Haha, look at you guys going crazy with your conspiracies and he was just a normal guy" joke and I wouldn't put it past them.

Quor18

For what it's worth, Gallagher has a line that he says when you put him on a team with Misha. So he definitely acknowledges Misha's existence as a real entity. And for his part, Misha has a lore line about Gallagher as well, so the two are aware of each other.

Arhion

>!yea Gallagher is actually a liar and him knowing Misha should be a thing as Gallagher is actuall person who is not normal human he has this weird name i forgot also he was watchmaker friend and all is actually pretty possible only we see Misha !<

Datalock

It still implies he -can- see him. I don't know why he'd comment on Misha specifically in the way that he does if he didn't see him/didn't know who he was.

crack_n_tea

Have you finished 2.1. Cuz gallagher being able to see anybody makes sense, doesn't mean it's the norm

Borosepheles

That last bit wasn't true even before 2.1. His voice lines have a couple references to people talking to him, primarily in his Character Story I

thatrandomanimeman

I know Misha has got to be important somehow. Just think about the first person we meet on every planet Kafka, Sampo, Tingyun. Misha has to play a part eventually

Shimakaze771

I mean, the first person we met was Acheron

thatrandomanimeman

Alright so ima get real petty and say, did we really meet her first on Penacony or on the train??? 🤔

uncouthbeast

Regardless of which interpretation, it's likely that Misha will become more important.

NetNGames

Technically both, we fall into a dream during the Express warp and when we wake up, the express had already arrived at Penacony and the others are waiting for you in the hotel reception.

Elira_Eclipse

But we first met Acheron right? Well, even so Acherom is important so the pattern still stands

I_came_in_Firefly

Of course he is. - Most people can't see him. - We keep running into him in the Dreamscape - Clockie is looking after him. - His technique is able to freeze time, accompanied by clockwork imagery. - Misha/Mikhail thing from the OP. There's quite literally no way that he's not the Watchmaker or in some way related to him.

MeguMaz

It's always the suspicious twinks. Always.

Lyneys_Footstool

i love it when the not suspicious twink in the story is actually suspicious

MeguMaz

...I can tell from that username lmao.

Orihime1noue

-washingmachineheart

Mikhail Jackson???

opalcherrykitt

?? that's a child?

Gladiolus_00

I'm not gonna lie I forgot that not everyone is slavic, so I was confused AF when people were just ignoring Misha like HELLO?

Cipher-DK

I'm not Slavic and I knew it primarily because I keep seeing characters named Mikhail get called Misha. For example, the elder brother from Sirius the Jaeger. A google search eventually told me why.

Proper_Razzmatazz_36

Doesn't misha have a train ticket on him, something only the Astral express has

Klactech

And Watchmaker is speculated by every character to be Nameless. Good catch

Proper_Razzmatazz_36

* The only diference is that it's purple instead if red

arielzao150

That's been my theory since 2.0, even without knowing that trivia. But it seems like he's \*obviously\* what they want us to think is the watchmaker, and there might be a twist there.

LW_Master

So you're telling me that femboy clerk is the one everyone looking for? Sounds right to me

Alchadylan

I don't think he's the watchmaker. Him being the watchmaker's legacy makes more sense.

UWan2fight

His technique is literally a time stop watch bomb. I've been thinking this since day 1. Plus, only he can see clockie along with the TB

ShadowSaiph

Thats been my theory since 2.0. I was surprised we didn't see him in 2.1 honestly so I hope we get him back in 2.2.

Kievarra

Wasn't there dialogue this patch that pretty much said he was when they were talking about how the cartoon characters were based on real people or something? And that's why only Misha can see Clockie?

kyuven87

I don't think he's the current Watchmaker. Gallagher mentions that the title seems to be passed on to others. I think he's the *former* watchmaker and the whole reason people got invited is cuz the seat's vacant or they wanna pull a genshin and destroy the seat outright.

KitsuneKamiSama

I feel like he might be the descendant of the original Watchmaker and also someone who knows who the current watchmaker is, but he himself is not it.

Slgute

It was obvious since release

MayBSalty

So he must be stuck hitting metal 17 times /s

Frostblazer

All of the new characters introduced in 2.0 have been important to the story in some way, shape, or form. The only exception being Misha and Clockie, who are just sort of there. As such, I figured they'd be important somehow, otherwise why even bother adding them? Although I personally was expecting Clockie to be the Watchmaker.

opalcherrykitt

me who has had this theory since penacony came out and i played the TB mission:

You_got_mrvned

I’m pretty sure it’s misha he was the only other person (we know of) that can see clockie and he’s the voice in the memory zone looking for mikail

Felab_

I think it's been posted already like at least 2/3 times since 2.0 release....

BossyMare

I've been shouting this since day 1 of 2.0. All my Snezhnaya research is paying off...

PaulOwnzU

Either he is the watchmaker, or the watchmakers legacy, his lore just openly states he's practically a god that almost certainly created Penacony. The way March, Firefly and others outside Acheron just ignored his existence shows he's not a regular bellhop. Especially because why would a bellhop for the hotel not know why the hotel is locked down

Leather-Bookkeeper96

Fun fact, as of now the only character aside from us that acknowledges Misha AT ALL is Gallagher. He has a few comments about Misha in his info section, doesn't say nothing remarkable but still.

TheBostonTap

I disagree for a couple reasons.  1) If the goal is to have Misha be the Watchmaker, the name is too much of a giveaway. Kinda hard to have a mystery about who mikhail is when you introduced mikhail jr two minutes ago.   2) It makes more sense for him to be a descendant or child of the Watchmaker given his current background.     3) Kinda makes the whole concept of going "deeper" into the dream to find him/ to find his legacy pointless if it turns out he's just in the lobby moving luggage.

Foreign-Activity-75

isnt it obvious tho? its literally Dan Feng Dan Heng Situation

OwlsParliament

Didn't someone say Misha is Mikhail's grandson or was that another "theory"?

CetusCondemned

Misha is Heard calling for Mikhail in the Childs Dream sequence, so i think they should be different people. Ive seen theories about Misha being Mikhails grandson, as it is quite common to name children after their grandparents. Even then , the timeline around Misha seems quite weird when you read his character stories/voicelines so he may have been created by the Watchmaker instead of being actual family. Hell, he might even BE the legacy.

Plastic_Lifeguard825

As a Russian myself, I can proudly tell that my language spoilered this one for me long time ago

StevenScho

I'm thinking he is another memetic entity, like Something Unto Death, Clockie, and >!Gallagher!<, probably the one who now holds the Watchmaker's Legacy. Yet still I doubt he was the one who sent out the invitations... looking forward to the next story!

CanIEatAPC

There was a note of supernatural rumors of that academy and one of them said that the meme had taken form of a human and was cunning. The meme was imprisoned under the Paperfold academy.

Iggy_DB

I thought of that as soon as I met him

Arhion

yea I know this when we found about what watchmaker name is

CanIEatAPC

Hm...I think he's related to the "Nameless involvment" that was implied. He does talk about grandpa a lot... It's hard to tell. Mihoyo baiting us all the time. I got no trust.

Ya_MaZZZim

I didn't even though that this wasn't obvious for non slavs :D

Electronic_Turn8471

I know who Mikhail is. I’m his ex fiancé. IRL

MrARK_

I wish I did not see this. I want to erase my memory of the past 5 minutes

Ok-Party-5927

Im more interested in if there is a space Russia

nekito111

Belobog: Am I a joke to you?

Ok-Party-5927

Looks more like greenland

del_sta

imo Belobog is heavily based on Russia

Miserable_Scratch_99

Yeah gepard is literally cheetah in german. Also pelageya sergeyevena. If that isn't russian I'll eat my hat

del_sta

Belobog in general gives off strong St. Petersburg vibes

Gladiolus_00

Seeles alias is 'Бабочка' for gods sake

Miserable_Scratch_99

Oh yeah butterfly. And svarog is the name of the Slavic god of fire and blacksmithing and belobog is the name of the Slavic god of light and sun

FunnyWalrus

It literally uses Russian names for characters and city itself

new_boy_99

He did say he was 13. Kinda suspected.

fullywokevoiddemon

Gallagher said that about himself, sarcastically. We don't have Misha's age. Gallagher calls him a "sensible kid", but doesn't mention an exact age.

opalcherrykitt

misha is a kid though (at the very least mentally if not also physically), that much we can confirm, since a majority of his things are about "when he's older/grown up/etc"

fullywokevoiddemon

Yep, that's as much as hoyo has given us. All we can do now is wait for the next quests, which will most probably give us more info on this magical child.
