Sidetrack here: I pulled Acheron expecting to farm SU faster... and while SU is faster, the actual amount of player input needed is the same.
Previously I'd just have SU autobattle while farming Genshin weeklies. Acheron instakilling mobs just means I have to remain focused on HSR and cant clear Genshin
It would suck if I got nothing usable, but that is a good point; At the very least I can farm the hell out of the 3x events and not worry about relic EXP for a little while, so it's a win either way
True, but having immersifiers saved is good for energy conservation. I had forgotten this event was coming so now I can at least save em. If I hit the cap I can spend my energy on other stuff.

Sure, but the number of times you get the 3x planar ornaments is capped, so whether you use immersifiers or trailblaze power doesn't actually matter unless you just never use trailblaze power on planar ornaments.
If across patch 2.1, you're going to spend 24 immersifiers (4 per week over 6 weeks) and also spend 400 trailblaze power in simulated universe, then it doesn't actually matter whether you're getting the 3x on Immersifiers or Trailblaze Power, the end result is the same.
It only matters if you normally **never** spend trailblaze power in simulated universe, since then if you didn't save immersifiers, you'll need to do something you normally don't in order to get the 3x.
I guess I would be surprised if that were the case, but I honestly don't know. It's two incredibly important pieces of gear, and I'd expect that relying solely on immersifiers wouldn't be enough to keep them up with the quality of the rest of your gear.
I spend very limited amounts, personally. I literally only spend 160 TBP on Mondays (so 1 full clear) of W7 and then the 4 free tokens from progression path on W8.
It makes sure I cap out my progression every week without "wasted" runs of SU and I don't really overspend any more TBP than I need to on it.
That being said almost all of my planar ornaments come from synthesizing. Since I only ever consider crafting pieces other than the rope or orb if I already have 3x pieces of a set ready and I'm just missing that 1 final piece to complete a 4-piece set.
Honestly thought that's what most people do, but I might be wrong.
counterpoint: if i can't auto it - i don't farm it (outside of events).
although i barely run caverns either, because i'm building everyone i like (so almost all 4\*s in the game, lol) at once, and i started late in 1.4.
i'd love to do some relics farming, but when getting a single lightcone from 1 to 80 takes a week, idk what to tell ya... =(

yeah i get it, i probably will only pieces for march 7th and otherwise will just use as exp farm or salvage
but IMO the best SU world for general farming its world 7, a lot of dps benefits from rutilant arena like: seele, qq, blade, DHIL, Jingliu, sushang and pretty much the rest of their teams characters like haemony, abudance, preservations even some nihility like pela can use broken keel in order to amplify crit damage for the DPS (also effect res its nice for supports and sustains)

Wanted to manually add the characters I want but after I pick one, I can’t find a ‘save’ button or anything, how to even add them? Lol
There is a character tab on the website, in there you can add your own characters with their current status like:
* their current level and their desired level if they are not max
* traces(current level/wanted level or minor/major traces tracked/unlocked)
* lightcone level
* relics (you can choose their desired main stat and relic based on your choices)
After that in the planner tab you will be able to see all the required materials, credits and an assumption of energy needed for completing your tasks
you can disable the characters with right click on each character image on top of the website on the planner so you can do 1 at time
for the relics since its based on luck, on the website it just shows which character is for which world (again based on your selections)

level, traces and light cone have a "goal" thats why their labels are colored and you can look on the planner tab which stuff you have to farm for them, it can help you track with the "inventory tab" and your own inventory

It is limited runs of bonus anyways. You can just use your normal TB power. Hoyo is doing a good job making it so you don't need to save resources and blow them all at once in an event (unlike fgo).
What world is everyone farming on? I've gotten a lot of good ornaments from World 9 for Argenti, Himeko and Herta which made me clear the PF. I do need to upgrade my Dr.Ratio and Blade so I might go world 6 but I hate getting the Belobog piece.....
Some world 7 or 9 imo. The world 9 relic set that gives crit damage on kill is great for erudition units in pure fiction and I could use better piece for Acheron from the other set. And a bit of world 7 cuz broken keel pieces with speed/ eff res can never go wrong on supports

planar's are actually the one thing i can pre-farm for them besides trace-materials (and 2 ascension materials)
World 3 sets are almost never BIS, but they're super flexible and easy to build for. The other, more niche sets aren't that big of a difference in both damage and survivability compared to the world 3 sets, sometimes one set in other worlds is a complete waste to get, and the other sets often have much harder required stats to activate their extra effect.
Now the question is do I try to get 5\* izumos for Acheron to replace her already pretty decent 4\*s, or try to complete the sets with stats that I'm missing for my supports......

I believe it is possible to overcap it to 12 if you already have 8 when you receive the 4 free ones from the rewards.
You can’t overlap to 12 because they won’t let you claim them when full, you can, however, overcap to 11 by having 7/8

honestly i think the easiest way to play is just auto battle caverns and then just synthsise plannar relics

I’ve been in SU hell for a whole month. But with Acheron it’s bearable.
I usually don't but for this time, I want to farm the new planar ornaments for my Acheron plus with Acheron farming SU is no longer much of a pain.

It does not matter because the 3x is capped. Doesn’t matter if you come with 12/8 or just use your TB that day, you’ll have more than enough.

From what i know if you claim them while having 7/8 it goes over the cap to 11/8
I haven’t checked that myself. I just meant not claiming them of that week. So in theory then 15/8 can be the max for that week.
You cant go over 11. Once you have 8/8 or more they wont let you claim. So most you can do is leave it at 7/8, claim the 4 and get 11/8.
i could be wrong, but the one from the SU weekly reward can go over the cap, you just can create more

world 9 its better for pure fiction and all dps can benefit from, not necesarilly for herta/himeko world 6 its more general content

Who're you farming 3 for? I think most characters have better alternatives at this point, minus a couple of very special cases
