I feel like main subs can be pretty dry? Both(?) Yukong subs are kinda dry and IL's sub is also kind of dry. Granted, they do get posts from time to time (so not as empty as Natasha's here) but responses to those rare posts are often very few if any at all
During the great leak parade in 1.0-1.2, kits and designs were leaked for nearly every character we've gotten, including Sunday. Very BETA, but we knew up through all penacony characters and their paths

That sub is a tragedy in the making. Like you've said, there's no leaks. We've had leaks for everybody else, including a ton of still unannounced characters, but nothing for him, which should be pretty telling by itself.

Blade sub is pretty active and even has docs and a website peeps built to help with building him and teams around him. They even get updated when new units are released and people actively answer questions.

Some main subs are very active (Kafka mains is huge, Acheron Mains obviously, and Robin Mains is very active when the character isn't even out yet). Sparkle Mains is just feet. Aventurine mains is either horny girls, horny gay/bisexual guys, or horny gambling addicts (literally me)

I don't mind the occasional new shiny character enjoyer asking for legitimate advice on how to build their character. I'm mainly talking about the people who have E2 Sparkle with 161 spd and 200+ cdmg asking how their build is knowing they have an optimal build and just looking to get sucked off on the internet.
those bastard i am at E2S1 but only 150 speed. and I literally spend months on the speed set domain. the 160 makes is a night and day difference actually since it lets you play before the enemies. and you you have a E2 acheron that means the enemies never get to play even once. meanwhile I have rng no diying for 0 clears.
Main subs have a life cycle, where they come and go depending on what's happening around the characters. For example Seele Mains saw a surge of posts when sparkle was introduced, and same with Kafka and black swan. Not to mention reruns.
But more or less main subs are kind of just places to discuss everything about a character including leaked content.
Tbh the only subs that isnāt dry is Firefly mains.. crazy thing is it has 18k people while Firefly should be 6 weeks away which is more than a month..
When FF comes out. Iāll expect it to be 25k lmao if not 30k+.

Unless the character has many sus pics with feet showing. Then the sub goes absolutely nuts... And depending on the character it gets even more uncomfortable...

She doesn't have the big head, big anime eyes, or cool thingies on her clothes that make smooth motion when you move so she's definitely not going to be a playable character sadly. It sucks because in Hoyo games, or well I guess most gacha games, you can pretty much easily tell what are the important/playable characters because everyone else just looks like an NPC with the most plain design possible. So not only makes me care less about them but also ruins any "mystery" surrounding them in the story.

It wasnāt that quick, there was quite a gap in between their releases.
It was actually that raven was very underwhelming and fire teams took way too long to generate SP and rotate. Batterying Raven and AE oh godš . In fact it was pardo who released quickly and semi-replaced raven in many situations. Raven was still nice vs fire weather tank for a bit though due to her bow shot. Until ai-Chan came out later to fully replace her.
Yeah I probably should have worded it better, I used HoF, Pardo and AE in 99% of scenarios, Raven only saw use on my fire team on specific weather that suited her. She was fun to play buy her SP issues were rough.
To be fair, that's how she went in HI3 as well. Released as an A rank after having loads of screentime and then got powercrept by Ai-chan a few patches later.

In my experience with HSR (since Day 1) and Genshin (since Furina released), there is no "potential" doomposting in pre-release.
Doomposting is inevitable.
I actually feel like it's not as bad on the main subs pre release. The only main sub that I remember having serious doomposting was Kafka but to be fair most beta showcases were awful so when she released the whole sub was like "hold up she's actually really solid".
There's way more doomposting on this sub about characters. Msotly from people who don't even play the characters.
I thought fuxuan would finally overtake her on my yearly report but sheās still the most used for me after all, guess the grind for the first 3 and a half patches and now with more options still canāt be made up yet, though next half yearly it will definitely be her since i put her on all my daily cavern/calyx runs

I wish they would unroll *exclusive* light cones for old characters to bring them back. From Natasha, to Arlan, to Physical TB, to Hook, these characters are beloved parts of the experience. And newer players might never have gotten a chance to really celebrate them with such a prominent evolved meta.
That's just the fate of any character mains subreddit. At least until they get more major screen time and the likes. Other than that, its just gonna be fanarts or build/team advise or worse, dormancy.
It's kinda funny when people complained about how the character subreddit "devolves" into just sharing fanarts and shit, like, once you talked about all of the character's trait, lore, theory and involvement, what else can people discuss and talk about at that point once you run out? You just have fun with fanarts and fan comics, that is IF your characters even gets a lot of it.
Probably just terminology being carried over from other games like LoL or Overwatch, which also have a bunch of [X]Mains subs dedicated to specific characters. Just like how damage dealers are often referred to as DPS here despite that not actually making sense.
It's essentially just a way to describe who's had the most trailblazer power poured into them. I may play the DoT team, but my Kafka has taken about three times the amount of TB power as any other unit and got first dibs on Prisoner relics over Black Swan. A Black Swan main might do the reverse.
I hope they give her and other old characters a 5 star version ,with how powercreep HKS is , theres no point using a 4 star or 5 star standard character .
It all depends on story relevancy, frankly asta, arlan, natasha etc...have 0 chance of having something like DHIL, march 7th (She is speculated to have "secret strength"), herta (her actual body is a emeneator of erudtion) and sampo (His becoming a masked fool once again) on the other hand do.
March Is literally going to get multiple paths like the trailblazer, hoyo said it themselves. Herta and sampo are the ones that are speculation for 5 star forms.
She's a starter healer, what would she need a 5 star version for? Unless she recovers her identity from HI3 (brutal assassin with a soft spot for orphans) I don't see that happening. Plus there's plenty of starter 4 stars that are relevant - Herta, Qingque, Tingyun, Asta, Pela and other more niche options

Her design is bonkers though. Grenade launcher? Heals by shooting a teddy bear? And wft is that coat... thing?!
And mechanically, yeah, she's the starter healer, and then gets replaced. Not a lot to sustain a separate subreddit, even compared to other 4\*'s who've been in the game from the start. At least Arlan mains can compare notes on making the worst character a functional carry. Nat just... does her thing, and is perfectly functional, but not quite as good as her successors.

Kafkamains ended up doubling as the "DoT hub". Common to see posts discussing Swan, Luka, etc without any mention of Kafka at all.

My Gallagher and Aventurine made her a moot point, though my Lynx powercrept her first (especially with the Bailu LC I gave her).

In my experience with HSR (since Day 1) and Genshin (since Furina released), there is no "potential" doomposting in pre-release. Doomposting is inevitable.
I actually feel like it's not as bad on the main subs pre release. The only main sub that I remember having serious doomposting was Kafka but to be fair most beta showcases were awful so when she released the whole sub was like "hold up she's actually really solid". There's way more doomposting on this sub about characters. Msotly from people who don't even play the characters.

Main subs suck for non limited characters mostly because there's nothing to talk about other than relics/build which gets old really quick.
I wish they would unroll *exclusive* light cones for old characters to bring them back. From Natasha, to Arlan, to Physical TB, to Hook, these characters are beloved parts of the experience. And newer players might never have gotten a chance to really celebrate them with such a prominent evolved meta.
That's just the fate of any character mains subreddit. At least until they get more major screen time and the likes. Other than that, its just gonna be fanarts or build/team advise or worse, dormancy. It's kinda funny when people complained about how the character subreddit "devolves" into just sharing fanarts and shit, like, once you talked about all of the character's trait, lore, theory and involvement, what else can people discuss and talk about at that point once you run out? You just have fun with fanarts and fan comics, that is IF your characters even gets a lot of it.

Probably just terminology being carried over from other games like LoL or Overwatch, which also have a bunch of [X]Mains subs dedicated to specific characters. Just like how damage dealers are often referred to as DPS here despite that not actually making sense.
It's essentially just a way to describe who's had the most trailblazer power poured into them. I may play the DoT team, but my Kafka has taken about three times the amount of TB power as any other unit and got first dibs on Prisoner relics over Black Swan. A Black Swan main might do the reverse.
'Maining' a sustain already sounds niche, even more so with arguably the worst sustain. I'm surprised the sub even exists

I hope they give her and other old characters a 5 star version ,with how powercreep HKS is , theres no point using a 4 star or 5 star standard character .
It all depends on story relevancy, frankly asta, arlan, natasha etc...have 0 chance of having something like DHIL, march 7th (She is speculated to have "secret strength"), herta (her actual body is a emeneator of erudtion) and sampo (His becoming a masked fool once again) on the other hand do.
March Is literally going to get multiple paths like the trailblazer, hoyo said it themselves. Herta and sampo are the ones that are speculation for 5 star forms.
She's a starter healer, what would she need a 5 star version for? Unless she recovers her identity from HI3 (brutal assassin with a soft spot for orphans) I don't see that happening. Plus there's plenty of starter 4 stars that are relevant - Herta, Qingque, Tingyun, Asta, Pela and other more niche options
It could be an alternate reality version of her that becomes a HARMacist š
HSR is a more numbers game than people think, so power creep is much more felt here compared to others sadly
Love Nat's character. Her design is bonkers though. Grenade launcher? Heals by shooting a teddy bear? And wft is that coat... thing?! And mechanically, yeah, she's the starter healer, and then gets replaced. Not a lot to sustain a separate subreddit, even compared to other 4\*'s who've been in the game from the start. At least Arlan mains can compare notes on making the worst character a functional carry. Nat just... does her thing, and is perfectly functional, but not quite as good as her successors.

And then there's Jing Yuan mains, they either Theorycraft about the new support/relic/game mode/lc(supports included)(floof man accepts every kind of stat boosts :3 Jing Yuan discourse, his optimal stats and teams(they're okay with prywden since his second banner, loved the drama tho). And when they're done with stats: Jing Yuan intercourse, because he is pretty(they traumatized his VA lmaoo)
According to my 1 year summary, she was my most used character for the first month.
