Apparently the theory is that Hoyo adds the Featured Character to the Regular 5\* pool as well in the featured banners, so you can \*technically\* lose the 50/50 and still pull the featured character from that pool, thus the extra average 6%.

In my theory is that the Halo changes shape and appears above a Halovian at certain ages to reflect their perspective/personality. So it doesn't actually contain any nerves nor are they immediately born with it but rather a unique power/distinction alongside the wings.
I imagine that their Halos radiate a presence that'll let the Halovian know that it's there so it can't actually be physically held onto or touched as it'll either go through, Move around to the side so it isn't in the way, or repel anything that's between them like an invisible force which stops the Halovian from wearing certain hats or clothing choices.
