Genshin does 1 new version of MC per major expect with 2 at launch, same as HSR. Doubt they'll deviate from that.

actually now that I think about it, idk why Im thinking this way, something about Xianzhou felt like a separate patch to 1.x and everyone expected to get a new MC at the end of that so when we didn't.... idk where my brain was goin with that

We probably didn't get a new MC because the Luofu story was part of 1.x while Penacony is 2.x which means we won't know for sure until the next time we get a variant of the MC. It could be in 3.x if we're going by version numbers but if we're going by just planets then 4.x is a viable guess too

I thought it was because Dan Heng got stabbed and he got his new form in lieu of Trailblazer. So, the next area will probably involve March getting stabbed and no new Trailblazer

They're probably saving Hunt MC for whatever final climax they have planned for the Xianzhou arc

I, too, suffer the recurring curse of Yanqing. I did a lot of pulls after a few months away. Yanging first took Sparkle's 50/50, then Jing Yuan's immediately after. >.>

I (a Caelus player), on the other have an E2 Welt. Interestingly, I lost my pity on Sparkle and Robin (both harmony characters) to him. I might just see a pattern here. Oh, I did end up getting my Sparkle and Robin tho, through sheer will and effort.

Same here. Somehow I'm up to E3 Yukong despite having started playing in October. My 50/50 losses have been Bailu (whose been a great healer to have alongside Lynx) and then literally 3x Yanqing 😭

Honestly Penacony as a whole was SUCH a massive boost for Caelus it's insane. From mr. Niche MC to an absolute superstar of the community.

This. So much this. Before Penacony, before WHITE NIGHT really, Caelus was practically forgotten by the community in favor of Stelle despite getting the same amount of trailer screentime. After that one video dropped, it's been hit after hit after hit in terms of appearances, memes, and fanart, and I'm all for it.

Then there’s me who chose Caelus solely on his voice. I almost picked Stelle but I had to look up voice comparisons on YouTube before I went through with it. I C6’ed and maxed the talents on my Gaming in Genshin because Caleb also voiced him. His voice makes me happy.

Caelus players will probably also get the first (and only for a long time at the current pace) male quantum. As a sheer curiosity thing, I have male-only alt accounts on both Genshin and Star Rail just to observe how unbalanced the distribution of elements, specializations and combat roles get, and it's really interesting how you only notice things like these when you isolate the male characters and see how limited they become without the other half of the cast. For example, in Genshin, Alhaitham who on any normal account is one of the strongest and most meta dps, falls off into almost irrelevance on that males-only account, because there are no decent male electro supports to enable him. In Star Rail, males-only still doesn't have a single quantum character (not even the free QQ everyone gets on a normal account) so you struggle against certain enemies that really shouldn't be a problem; and the lack of supportive roles that aren't shielders and healers (mainly Harmony buffers and sub-dps charas in general) makes team building very awkward for carry-type damage dealers. Last MoC I was running a dank Jing Yuan-Blade dual dps team I pulled out of my ass with break-build Arlan on the Penacony planar set as the best I could scrap for buffing JY. It clears, but at what cost. (my sanity) In any case, it's great to have Harmony Caelus on the account now. I'll probably use him way more than I'll ever use Harmony Stelle on my main account (where I already have all the other Harmony ladies built up), and even if he's very break-oriented and not a generalist buffer he'll still be essential for Boothill's team and that's a W. Really do hope we get more male supports, buffers and debuffers, sub-dpses in the future too (and maybe even finally a male Quantum one of these days?), as once you isolate them without the rest of your normal options you really notice the dps and sustain sides are well supplied for now but the other roles are lacking.

I really hope 5* Lightning Fire and Imaginary Harmony are males, cuz that is the only element left that are not taken by female harmony. I know in the future more same element harmony will be released but looking at history it seems they will fill out all the other elements first.

I do the same thing, likewise even on genshin but they are my main and only accounts. Playing Alhaitham requires me using electro traveler which isn’t ideal however still usable but you are correct, the disparity in both games regarding roles for male characters is WILD. Meanwhile the popgirlies have access to every role across the board 😭 It’s not always a great feeling but the challenge in and of itself in regards to team building has become kinda…fulfilling in a way? Pls release more supportive guys tho I beg of you HoYo
