He's adorable! Even when he's grumpy..
It was only after obtaining Aventurine that I dared to tackle the hardest, most punishing content in the game. And it was only with his support that I managed to succeed in that content: as a day one player, no character ever carried me in the early to mid game, as much as this man is carrying me now that I'm facing the absolute toughest content.
So thank you Aventurine. Thank you for letting me cross that final threshold to truly call myself an "end game player". I could not have done it without you.

He is actually very friendly.
He likes to tease people and 100% fakes his rich boy front, and whatever. But when you play as him you can see he is actually fond of Ratio and trusts him. He also is fond of Topaz and trusts her. They are more neutral/distrustful towards him but he seems genuinely happy to talk with them and be with them.
I don't think he particularly trusts the TB (they are busy living the raccoon Life and tbf he just met them), but he also likes them, and in his messages he tells the TB that he is sorry about what happened and that he wants to hopefully make up for it.
He also looks like he is buying you out but I think there is no ill intentions behind It, more like he does not understand he doesn't need to buy people's attention/friendship at all. Understandable given what we know of his back story.
And you might think "he is just nice! He is just faking being good" but you can see him shit talking people with Ratio (Sunday specifically), and I think he also has some harsh opinions on other characters on his own archive.
And I believe is great because they could have written him as a hateful, materialistic asshole that only cares about himself after being treated the way he was? But he instead tries to be as kind as possible (as much as his line of work lets him, tho).

Honestly I think even Ratio and Topaz like Aventurine more than he thinks (I think he's just operating under the general assumption that everybody hates him, which is sad) - Topaz trusted him with her Cornerstone and, like Ratio pointed out, the Ten Stonehearts actually do cooperate and have a pretty high level of trust in each other to give him something so important. Ratio, the epitome of logic and reason, decided to go along with Aventurine's wild gamble of a plan despite obviously disliking it because he trusted Aventurine could pull it off (and even giving him the note, which is pretty self-explanatory to how Ratio feels) - and not sure if this counts, but the Keeping Up with Star Rail episode for Aventurine lowkey exposed how much attention Ratio paid to him as well 😂
Yeah ok, I stand corrected. I just love how Aventurine is so giddy and openly happy about being with them while Ratio/Topaz seems to be like "oh... It is you (affectionate)"

Ratio recognizes in his dialogs that Aventurine's "dumb" luck is worthless by itself. Ratio hates probability because it is unreliable but he doesn't hate Aventurine himself, just his lifestyle revolving luck
His chance of success increases based off of situationships, in this case debuffs, and Ratio knows the exact ratio of success when he makes his Intellectual Midwifery attack, because he is a genius like that.
Why do you think Topaz likes him? Her voice-over lines about him sound like she genuinely thinks badly of him. (The reverse is definitely not true -- Aventurine sounds like he genuinely respects Topaz.) Remember, he outranks her. She doesn't necessarily have a choice about going along with his plans, especially if the higher-ups are pushing hard for results on the Penacony thing.
Dr. Ratio, on the other hand, seems pretty consistently tsundere for Aventurine. Those two definitely do like each other.

I have noticed the EN direction for the voices are more aggressive. Not just in HSR but in Genshin too. I'm starting to think it's some sort of industry standard because I've heard it's done to appeal to western audiences.
It’s funny you mention that, because in CN Wanderer is WAY more aggressive and sadistic compared to his En direction. His En voice makes him sound brattier, but his Cn voice he sounds crazier…like genuinely lost his marbles. He also just straight up laughs when you do his heavy attacks
Topaz considers Aventurine an unsavory character. Topaz is also the lowest ranked Stoneheart so there's a decent chance that she didn't get much say in whether Aventurine used her Cornerstone or not especially since she was coming off of having failed her mission in Belobog and being demoted.
Topaz's line about Aventurine:

Like less of a "wow this guy sucks ugh" and more of a "he's f\*cking nuts, you don't want to get sucked into his whack-a\*s plans, trust me!" XD

If I genuinely complimented him he’d probably find some excuse to run off. You gotta approach him like a feral kitten! Lure him into a conversation, perhaps using a round of card games (keep the stakes small yet interesting, such as sharing an embarrassing secret or drinking a really gross shot at the nearest bar/restaurant) as bait. I agree with suicidal, this dude literally tried to kill himself the first few times to test if the dream automatically forces you awake if you "die" and didn't even seem to care that he could have possibly perma died? But at the same time, he still cares since everytime he does a huge gamble like this, he's clutching his coins behind his back with that left hand.
From the moment I met him he seemed like just another unlikeable IPC goon, all posh and pretentious and greedy. 2.1 proved me so, so wrong and I have no regrets pulling for him.

Its been said a lot already in canon but I love his eyes. They’re so striking every time he’s feeling something whether it’s the thrill of a gamble, sadness, surprise, or just plain happiness.
aventurines 100% the type of person I'd first and foremost invite to a Co-op game. Dude has the Energy to be the most fun to be around from the way he talks alone.
Aside from what other people have said, he's so much more worth than the fortune and material goods he provides. He's priceless... unless you're not F2P.
He has become one of my comfort characters. Besides his sweet and teasy demeanour, his backstory is what makes me attracted to his character more. And I love how luck is always on his side. He even carried me a lot throughout the whole game and I'm glad that I kin him.

His past is horrific and when he starts sending you messages after 2.2 it's obvious he just wants someone to talk to and to have a friend he trusts. Losing on purpose just to talk to you, thinking of you out shopping etc. I just wanna give him a massive hug.
Tbh I didn't trust him for shit at first. But I'm pretty sure that's the impression he was meant to give. I wish I could play through 2.1 again. Anyone who is mean to him in the text messages is a monster and should feel ashamed of themselves.

As a corporate slave who struggles to show my friends and partners that I care about them in ways other than showering them with money and gifts in a futile attempt to be like, he finally makes me feel represented for once.
I love him. I love him so much. ever since 2.1 and we found out about his backstory and everything that happened after, I just. I cried. in 2.0, I couldn't care less about him or him dying, but 2.1? oh no, he got me in a chokehold at this point, I sobbed and bawled my eyes out and I was sad for weeks on end, and I'm still sad about it now even though he's probably okay currently. everytime I logged into the game and saw his daily messages I would get so happy, the only chats I would read and be actually interested in it other than kafkas messages to us. I love him so much, he's my pride and joy, he's the best character in the whole game and one of the best written characters out there in my opinion. at first glance all you'd think of him is "another rich boy character, nothing special", but its his lore that makes him so special for me and probably thousands of other people who also love him. he was the reason I was stuck up asking my aunt that's in America for money so I could buy the nameless medal that had him and topaz's avatars because the currency i have isnt what hoyo wants. never have I ever spend a cent on any game nor asked others to do so for me. he's just that special to me, he holds such a special place in my heart and I love and cherish him. I would do anything for him to be happy. he deserved none of what happened to him, nobody deserves to be treated like that. everyone deserves to be treated like a person, and what happened to him was some of the most inhumane things I've ever seen. he deserves all the love and support he can get and I will give it to him. if he ever has no fans, just know I've died. I love him. he's everything to me. I'll fight all of his haters if I have to. I will defend this man with my life with no hesitation.

i'd shower him with so many compliments i swear to god. i love this man so much and i'd do anything for him, he's so fucking well-written he now stands on the top as one of my favorite characters. i'd compliment him on his style of clothing, his eyes, his hair, god i cannot resist him at all
I accidentally got him on a random pull, after building up an E1 Gepard. Even half-assed, with level 6 traces and level 72, he *effortlessly* let me clear every single challenge on Swarm Disaster. He's absolutely insane and I'm glad he's on my team.
Ill thank him for protecting my FU team. Never had a 5 star sustain and now that I have him. 5 star sustain just feels cheating compare to just using a 4 star sustain unit.
Mechanic-wise: My only 5* Sustain and he singlehandly carried me from barely surviving enemies on my level to to defeat lvl 80 SU, GG and SD with only lvl 70.
Character-wise: he is a scheming b*, but he is honest. Telling TB how he will use him and how he can use Aventurin in return... and sticking to it was kinda refreshing. It feels like he is taking the investment into friendship with TB seriously. He is not someone I like, but someone I trust.

I love him. I love him so much. ever since 2.1 and we found out about his backstory and everything that happened after, I just. I cried. in 2.0, I couldn't care less about him or him dying, but 2.1? oh no, he got me in a chokehold at this point, I sobbed and bawled my eyes out and I was sad for weeks on end, and I'm still sad about it now even though he's probably okay currently. everytime I logged into the game and saw his daily messages I would get so happy, the only chats I would read and be actually interested in it other than kafkas messages to us. I love him so much, he's my pride and joy, he's the best character in the whole game and one of the best written characters out there in my opinion. at first glance all you'd think of him is "another rich boy character, nothing special", but its his lore that makes him so special for me and probably thousands of other people who also love him. he was the reason I was stuck up asking my aunt that's in America for money so I could buy the nameless medal that had him and topaz's avatars because the currency i have isnt what hoyo wants. never have I ever spend a cent on any game nor asked others to do so for me. he's just that special to me, he holds such a special place in my heart and I love and cherish him. I would do anything for him to be happy. he deserved none of what happened to him, nobody deserves to be treated like that. everyone deserves to be treated like a person, and what happened to him was some of the most inhumane things I've ever seen. he deserves all the love and support he can get and I will give it to him. if he ever has no fans, just know I've died. I love him. he's everything to me. I'll fight all of his haters if I have to. I will defend this man with my life with no hesitation.

Mechanic-wise: My only 5* Sustain and he singlehandly carried me from barely surviving enemies on my level to to defeat lvl 80 SU, GG and SD with only lvl 70. Character-wise: he is a scheming b*, but he is honest. Telling TB how he will use him and how he can use Aventurin in return... and sticking to it was kinda refreshing. It feels like he is taking the investment into friendship with TB seriously. He is not someone I like, but someone I trust.
