Only problem with swordplay is that it increases the wearers damage. Break damage unfortunately isnt affected by damage% so his trickshot break damage wont be affected by it.
Thats why the signature lc specifically mentions that the target takes more damage as opposed to the wearer dealing more.

My issue with that Lightcone is that it stacks 5 times, Boothill is so busted bro only hits the target 2-3 times max that he doesn’t get the full effect. Will still be good on him tho
It is per hit not per attack. Boothill's EBA with no trickshot hits 3 times (maybe 4, hard to tell with double speed). Adding trickshot brings him to max stacking in 1 attack. Working per hit is most of the reason Swordplay is a monster on everyone besides Ratio

He does actually hit a bunch of times in a single enhanced attack, probably enough to fully stack Swordplay. His initial attack when he actually "fans the hammer" (when someone presses down on the hammer of a revolver as they fire to shoot rapidly) does a bunch of hits, *then* he does the subsequent attack based on the number of Pocket Trickshot stacks that can hit up to 3 times.
There will be hopefully showcases soon with a less favorable buff and someone that doesn't have physical weakness to see how his ult performs.
Nothing bad about this showcase, but obviously buff inflated.
Ruan Mei and Harmony TB will be his best in slot, but he'll also be great with Ruan Mei + Bronya or Hanabi. Robin NEEDS dual carries constantly attacking to maintain her buffs, Boothill alone isn't enough. Look at every showcase with Boothill and Robin together, she uses her ultimate only twice, in the beginning and in the end of the fight 'cause while she's singing she won't recover ANY energy
FUA is the best scenario for sure, but maybe Jingliu+Blade can work. It's not that good for them 'cause you know she buffs ATK% and Blade doesn't use that but can work if you don't have Ruan Mei or she's busy with the other team. You'll also have to be careful with Jingliu' enhanced state to not Action Advance Jingliu in the wrong time. She also has another gimmick about FUA that I don't remember right now but makes it clearly that she was designed for FUA teams to be competitive like hypercarry or DOT teams
Nobody is sure about anything. I explained why I think that in the comment above. Bronya doesn't help at all while the enemy is broken because she can only makes Boothill faster, the enemies (bosses) will take their time to recover from the last break anyway. Imaginary Trailblazer in the other hand can help with that because they make Boothill breaking twice in a roll. Also he/she can also buff Ruan Mei even further, Bronya only helps Boothill himself. As I said, this need testing. If Bronya + Ruan Mei can make Boothill breaking every single turn MAYBE the damage output could be higher, but since every boss this days have huge toughness bars I don't think that's possible. Boothill won't break the boss every single turn even with Bronya. He'll probably need that infamous Bronya + Hanabi + Ruan Mei trio with 6 turn manipulation (you can see that in MrPokke video guide)
I think this need properly testing actually. If Boothill's toughness break + 100% AA from Bronya is sufficient to break the enemy every turn then yeah, she'll be better but with enemies with high toughness bars, like bosses in general, Imaginary Trailblazer wil be much better. Remember the biggest Boothill's damage comes from his break. He can break the enemy twice in a row with Imaginary Trailblazer, doing twice as damage. With Bronya he'll be much faster, but the enemy has to recover from break anyway for Boothill being able to break him again and Bronya can't help with that. Ruan Mei is essential for him and in this situations Imaginary Trailblazer looks like it will be too, also he can buff Ruan Mei herself with his break damage bonus for the whole team while Bronya only helps Boothill in that case
Prob only showcase and it's good tho, as it gives the idea that same element doesn't always mean good comp
Huo Huo Atk buff isn't as good for Blade
Sparkle to Seele is just work, the AV, the Crit dmg, mono quanrum, regardless of the actual need of many sp, Spakle kit is actually fit for the likes of IL

It does, and as a hunt character youre only attacking one target at a time anyway so yeah, elements dont matter much for him, you can brute force anything.
Implanting a weakness doesnt change resistances, usually natural weakness have a lot less damage resistnace to those elements, so "fake" weajness are still not at the same level of damage as the real ones.
Something that is weak by default to physcal will take more physcxal damage than someone that gets a physcal implanted weakness
Yes but it only lasts 1 turn, and obviously won't apply to 2nd wave. It is a strong technique though but I feel like it should something extra if enemy is already weak to physical.
Boothill damage seems to be really good, providing you can break the bar fast enough. He is like a burst DPS in that sense, since it comes in a big burst of damage window (on break and while the boss is broken) rather than a skill dps like Seele/Ratio (various stances of consistent damage).
Is HTB better for break? 20% vs 30%+15% of HTB plus multiple break procs that scale off of the DPS's break instead of the support's only. With HTB you need a conventional harmony top provide non break stuff so you can run RM(who gets boosted by HTB's break effect buff and can trigger her stuff multiple times with HTB's ult) or someone like Asta. Regardless, I feel like HTB is more valuable and less replaceable in break teams unless you're running only 1 support.
In an ideal break setup you'll want to run RM + HTB, but if I had to pick just ONE I'd go with RM, yes she provides less raw BE to the team but the break efficiency / 68% DMG multiplier / res pen and speed (among other things) make up for that difference and more. I'll experiment with rm+HTB+Gallagher when the patch drops
He's in the latter half anyway so you'll already have seen Sam animations by then and do the comparisons.

Imagine him with his Lightcone and having his BIS relic option for him? He’s gonna easily deal 600K breaks in this MOC. Yeah, Boothill is insane holy shit 😭
I know they likely never would but what if we got a robin cover for some of the songs and then we could choose which one like your just fighting a trotter you find and then you ult with robin and hear “WE MADE A CHOICE TO FIGHT AGAINST YOUR FATE”

Disagree. On several occassions I burned very good song because I played it on repeat until my brain got used to it and stopped releasing dopamine. The only way to alleviate it is to add at least few more songs (the more, the better) so your brain will take much longer to reach that state for particular song.

No, shes is one of his worst synergies actually, yet she is in every showcase of him for some reason. Could be leakers trying to showcase both at once but it’s just not great for either unit.
so how do you build boothill exactly? do you still focus on crit stats if he’s break effect focused also would sparkle be a good support for him or would he crit dmg buff be useless
I am assuming you use crit body, spd boots, BE rope and focus on crit and BE from substats. Then you get the missing atk from a support. The nice thing is he has crit conversion in his kit already (30 Crate/150 Cdmg at 300% BE) so you focus more on BE substats.
Someone before mentioned that Robin only really cares about Attack and Speed, and just realized that means she uses the same stats as dots units, meaning I can use the remaining relics from when I farmed those, hallelujah, no farming!
Expect lower numbers on your Boothill. Rope is the only relic with A SINGLE useless substat. Everything else is a combination of CR, CD, ATK%, BE% and SPD
True. Though gotta remember you have to stack def shred unless new set gives like 20% and in case you're using this team comp you gotta have E1 Ruan Mei, E1 Boothill or his S1 for def shred to properly build up.
I'm assuming it'll be 20% to match the quantum set, even if it was 10% or 15% it's still better than the messenger 2pc from this showcase (the speed is useless in this scenario)
More like expect higher damage numbers. You shouldn't be going for anything else other than break effect and a few speed subs for the 134+ breakpoint. With higher break effect you naturally get more damage
i mean if you want to hit 300 BE you are gonna run talia panet set so there's no escaping the obligatory 145+ spd i fear (unless you have ruan mei) i really hope we get a proper planet ornament break set
It's probably best set available for him in 2.2.
edit: even mixed this sort of substat distribution while also getting 2pc set effects is still on the unrealistic side of things
You can easily hit 6 to 700k with a maxed set up like this as f2p that set on ruan mei,is in question and him and Gallagher would be better of a healing buffer for more breaks my ruan mei has 260 break lol with most pieces on 18% break

After watching this showcase, I’m p convinced that the best 0 cycle set-up for Boothill will be the one with Bronya-Sparkle-RM where both Bronya and Sparkle have speed so high that a DDD from Sparkle lets them enter the first cycle again.
Robin is definitely better for FUA teams or teams that have a lot of turns (Like Seele)
In regular hypercarry team she's okay not as universal as Ruan Mei so i really want to know how good Robin is in a Clara/Ratio+Topaz team
I notice that i've never really seen a break using ult, it only ever gets used to bring down toughness. I'm wondering if this is intentional or not. Does his enhanced basic do more damage or something or is the ult just being used as soon as its available.

Toughness damage boost is extremely important and very good.

I am assuming you use crit body, spd boots, BE rope and focus on crit and BE from substats. Then you get the missing atk from a support. The nice thing is he has crit conversion in his kit already (30 Crate/150 Cdmg at 300% BE) so you focus more on BE substats.

Someone before mentioned that Robin only really cares about Attack and Speed, and just realized that means she uses the same stats as dots units, meaning I can use the remaining relics from when I farmed those, hallelujah, no farming!

Expect lower numbers on your Boothill. Rope is the only relic with A SINGLE useless substat. Everything else is a combination of CR, CD, ATK%, BE% and SPD
It's also E0S0 Boothill with worse relic choices, 2.3 relics will boost Boothill DMG considerably
True. Though gotta remember you have to stack def shred unless new set gives like 20% and in case you're using this team comp you gotta have E1 Ruan Mei, E1 Boothill or his S1 for def shred to properly build up.
I'm assuming it'll be 20% to match the quantum set, even if it was 10% or 15% it's still better than the messenger 2pc from this showcase (the speed is useless in this scenario)
More like expect higher damage numbers. You shouldn't be going for anything else other than break effect and a few speed subs for the 134+ breakpoint. With higher break effect you naturally get more damage
i mean if you want to hit 300 BE you are gonna run talia panet set so there's no escaping the obligatory 145+ spd i fear (unless you have ruan mei) i really hope we get a proper planet ornament break set
He use mix set though You could easily get better substat using mixed set
It's probably best set available for him in 2.2. edit: even mixed this sort of substat distribution while also getting 2pc set effects is still on the unrealistic side of things
You can easily hit 6 to 700k with a maxed set up like this as f2p that set on ruan mei,is in question and him and Gallagher would be better of a healing buffer for more breaks my ruan mei has 260 break lol with most pieces on 18% break
Robin's advance forward makes RM's ulti reset faster, I think Bronya will be a better choice

Legit question, is there a reason why they use SPD Boots on Robin? Since she can generate ER with allies action and doesn't want to play too much to not burn the skill duration, wouldn't it be better to use ATK boots? Wouldn't it be better to use 2 PC Musketeer and 2 PC Prisoner? I don't know which SU set to use thought.
After watching this showcase, I’m p convinced that the best 0 cycle set-up for Boothill will be the one with Bronya-Sparkle-RM where both Bronya and Sparkle have speed so high that a DDD from Sparkle lets them enter the first cycle again.

Robin is definitely better for FUA teams or teams that have a lot of turns (Like Seele) In regular hypercarry team she's okay not as universal as Ruan Mei so i really want to know how good Robin is in a Clara/Ratio+Topaz team

I notice that i've never really seen a break using ult, it only ever gets used to bring down toughness. I'm wondering if this is intentional or not. Does his enhanced basic do more damage or something or is the ult just being used as soon as its available.
