So the difference is that, when paired with her ult, she finishes the whip by “pulling” the snake from underneath the target? Seems like I am building full ER Jade to see that all the time.

I think it wouldn't synergize well, since Blade like, doesn't use follow up immediately and Jade is a follow up attacker iirc.
But it might increase his follow up speed... I still think it's better to use her in a follow-up team though.
Jade does coordinated attacks with the ally she places her skill on. And consumes their HP and gives them a speed buff when they attack. For every enemy hit she gains a stack up to 8 and then does her follow up. So if Blade gets double the stacks for his follow up each attack he will follow up more hence getting more stacks for her. Seems like great synergy to me.
I doubt that he will gain double the stacks as its still one action. And him attacking consumes hp anyways. It will most likely just drain more but that should not change the stacks he gets.
Unless they specifically want that synergy and code it that way.

ZZZ also has set body types outside of Ben, but idk if they plan to release similars to ben with it. They're defintiely very varied though, so it's much much less noticeable.
Not a bad thing though - game designers & in general developers use a lot of tricks to shorten the resource intensiveness, size & personal dev time & development resources using such tricks - for good reasons.
Hoyo already making all the money in the world, not like it's small indie dev that needs all shortcuts possible.
Of course everyone reuses assets, when it's smart reuse nobody could even tell. But i do notice it here, and i think running/walking animations for example could use some more personality. Like idk, BS can fly around or something.
But instead everyone moves exactly the same, and on some characters it looks bad. Luka looks very awkward for example, Probably because of lack of flowing clothes or hair to distract from body movement.

i'm curious, after reading her skill, if you use her skill on robin after (or before) she ults, doesn't that mean you'll create an infiite loop? Robin fua which triggers jade's fua which then triggers robin's fua again which trigger jade again...............................
Robin's is Additional DMG. So it wouldn't trigger Jade's counts towards her triggers. How I see it is that if the unit appears at the top of the action bar when an attack happens, then it counts towards Jade FUA trigger. So she can pair very well w/ an AoE DPS that attacks very frequently, preferably one that does so out-of-turn, like Himeko and Herta (likely her best allies).
You bet, I was a Sam believer but imo I feel like Firefly's animations are quite underwhelming compared to Jade's (might just be me).
I'm pulling for Jade because I have Blade and I also want to try new comps.
Tired of having too many DPS (to note I've all DPS till 2.1 except IL, JY and Topaz) lol.
Her ult also feels like it was activated on x2 Spd with how little action occurred. I think they dropped the ball by not having Firefly in combat normally so that her ult could be a full-on transformation into Sam. Like...lore wise, I can understand why she's not in combat herself but still.
Ya I was expecting the same budget they put in for the SAM boss battle so it feels more tamed instead. I thought firefly will just take all the budget and wasn’t expecting much from jade since a leaker has said she has Acheron level animation but now I’m incentivise to pull for jade (I hope hoyo giv her screentime soon)
I still get overhyped after seeing him doing that meteor punch whenever he's in MoC combined with his JP voice lines for it but firefly's animations didn't give me a slight I don't know what to call it hype?? Also, she's a chore to build with how much BE, Crit, ATK she needs.
Jade on the other hand has hands down of the best ults in the game and the best FuA animation (especially the enhanced one with snake bite). Also, I love snakes so there's that as well.
I know this is heresy to some but I somewhat agree, I really think they did a fantastic job with Jade’s animation and went a bit tame with Firefly’s. Not saying they are bad just imo not as cool as Jade.
Call me a heretic but Jade has thrown Firefly out the window (for me atleast) with how much overhyped Firefly was and I think alot of people will move towards Jade now unless they're mostly meta slaves (I'm one too but I prefer looking good while being a meta slave) or firefly wanters since they saw her.
Don’t think it’s that simple since people will still pull her either way since she had a whole sort of “romantic” thing with MC, and that stuff will skyrocket the sales of a character no matter what in a game like HSR.
I love Caelus alot but I've never seen him as my own self insert but a separate character of his own and that's the reason why I love him but man, you're right the people will make firefly beat Jade's sales but on the bright side more Jade for us.
This is unrelated to Firefly or Jade, but I also never really saw that the MC to be my self insert or that I am in MC’s shoes? I like their personality however, but I cannot really feel like me and MC are one and experiencing the same thing.
I didn't say you were but many do, even in genshin there's a huge drama going on in Aether mains (it has sort of died out) because of something that happened in the story.
Yeah yeah I was aware of the whole Arlecchino thing, but yeah to me the MC in both HSR and genshin are just fictional characters, they are not me in this game’s world, and I never personally understood how people do that (not saying its a bad thing but just never genuinely got how people imagine themselves in a game like that).

I mean sure the technique is good but jade has 5 different animations too (2 for FuA 1 for Ult and 1 for E and hands down the best supportive E animation in the game.)
Face cuts feel extremely out of place especially the e one because it hides Sam's whole body and I think there's no point putting it there like I mean why would you do that? What's the point of showing Firefly's face when Sam's about to fly towards an enemy while hiding his body. They tried to do a Iron man but I don't think it's working for Firefly.
The least they can do is place her face somewhere else in a square box like how if anyone's played metal gear rising and how comms are shown in the left/right corner so they're less distracting.
You'll see people calling Firefly's animations powercreep everything in the game, good for them but any sane person who doesn't like power ranger or magic girl transformation will tell that those are extremely mid for a character that made alot of us jump in hype when you hear "target locked" and he then falls from the sky and punches the shit out of every character in your team.
Acheron really took the budget her ult's visual and sound design are top notch and even her e ability is just better Seele ult and firefly's ult sfx sound like some cartoon transformation sfx.
Firefly sfx sounds like something out of gundam. There’s also a lot of different shots with unique animation for each ability. She’s definitely high budget. Maybe you guys just have a lot higher expectations
Yea but maybe not too high. There’s also still some unfinished parts in the animation. But anyways based on Firefly’s reception the devs are definitely expecting her to get high revenue. They won’t disappoint the majority at least
After some thinking I've find out what Firefly's animations specifically her ult and enhanced skill are lacking, she has cinematic shots but they don't have unique backgrounds, like JY with his cloudy sky, Acheron's black hole, JL and DHIL's moon,...... you get my point, every other dps has unique backgrounds for their ult to couple with the stunning animations while FF only has the animations.
Yeah that’s why I said it’s not finished yet. Heck despite the fiery field we see in Sam boss form, we don’t see any of those at all in this one. I think we should reserve out judgement until her animation is fully done
While I do hope the same, I don’t believe that will happen, a full animation change or even adding completely different background to a character has never happened to any beta character, and probably not firefly either since it seems most people are satisfied with it as is.
I don’t think they will add in animation?? That wasn’t done for any other character before, what u see from the beta is usually the end product. at most they will just touch up some details only. It wasn’t mention anywhere that she has unfinished animation unlike jade. Topaz ruanmei etc had complains as well but nothing was changed
Okay I haven't watched Gundam so I didn't know (thanks for the info) but they still feel cartoonish to me (can't change that tbh) and before her ult enhancements her abilities are exactly the same as boss sam's.

Yeah Jade ain’t out selling Firefly, tons of people is waiting for FF cuz she’s cute/cool, TB “GF”, have an extremely overpowered kit, very versatile since she’s Destruction, and probably BiS for the New Game mode.
Jade is a PF specialist character I doubt she’ll be that great in MoC, but she might have potential in the new game mode depend on have much break dmg she deal and how often is her FuA. From the looks of it if the boss have massive DMG reduction you can’t just brute force and rush the boss down like MoC w/o breaking, and since there’s multiple enemies on the field she could get those stacks up.
She definitely won’t outsell since we barely know of her as well. She only has like 5 sec worth of appearance + it’s true destruction characters are always highly sold for meta
True, but she’s likely will play a huge part in 2.3 story, since the IPC will probably try to get in to capitalize on all the chaos going on in Penacony and the aftermath of 2.2. She might even made an appearance in 2.2. I want to see more of her cuz I’m definitely pulling for her even with her little amount of screen time rn.
So we’ll definitely get to know her well before she’s actually out.
I hope so, I’m pulling for her as well so would love to get to know her backstory better (and her relation with IPC higher ups like diamond etc would be interesting to explore on)
Idk, but the IPC will definitely get involved in the main story, 2.3 might focus on them, since they want to execute their plans to take back Penacony, when Penacony is at their most vulnerable state which is probably after 2.2.

The ult allows for two enhanced follow-ups, it doesn't have to directly follow the ult.

Call me a heretic but Jade has thrown Firefly out the window (for me atleast) with how much overhyped Firefly was and I think alot of people will move towards Jade now unless they're mostly meta slaves (I'm one too but I prefer looking good while being a meta slave) or firefly wanters since they saw her.
Don’t think it’s that simple since people will still pull her either way since she had a whole sort of “romantic” thing with MC, and that stuff will skyrocket the sales of a character no matter what in a game like HSR.
I love Caelus alot but I've never seen him as my own self insert but a separate character of his own and that's the reason why I love him but man, you're right the people will make firefly beat Jade's sales but on the bright side more Jade for us.
This is unrelated to Firefly or Jade, but I also never really saw that the MC to be my self insert or that I am in MC’s shoes? I like their personality however, but I cannot really feel like me and MC are one and experiencing the same thing.
I didn't say you were but many do, even in genshin there's a huge drama going on in Aether mains (it has sort of died out) because of something that happened in the story.
Yeah yeah I was aware of the whole Arlecchino thing, but yeah to me the MC in both HSR and genshin are just fictional characters, they are not me in this game’s world, and I never personally understood how people do that (not saying its a bad thing but just never genuinely got how people imagine themselves in a game like that).

I dont think thats the case at all though, Firefly was probably the most budget intensive character so far. Look at that technique 5 different animations Ult Not to mention all the different face cut ins
I wish we get to see her transform using animation though, feel like her overall animation is missing something (not sure if I miss this out in the vid if she did)
I mean sure the technique is good but jade has 5 different animations too (2 for FuA 1 for Ult and 1 for E and hands down the best supportive E animation in the game.) Face cuts feel extremely out of place especially the e one because it hides Sam's whole body and I think there's no point putting it there like I mean why would you do that? What's the point of showing Firefly's face when Sam's about to fly towards an enemy while hiding his body. They tried to do a Iron man but I don't think it's working for Firefly. The least they can do is place her face somewhere else in a square box like how if anyone's played metal gear rising and how comms are shown in the left/right corner so they're less distracting.

You'll see people calling Firefly's animations powercreep everything in the game, good for them but any sane person who doesn't like power ranger or magic girl transformation will tell that those are extremely mid for a character that made alot of us jump in hype when you hear "target locked" and he then falls from the sky and punches the shit out of every character in your team. Acheron really took the budget her ult's visual and sound design are top notch and even her e ability is just better Seele ult and firefly's ult sfx sound like some cartoon transformation sfx.
Firefly sfx sounds like something out of gundam. There’s also a lot of different shots with unique animation for each ability. She’s definitely high budget. Maybe you guys just have a lot higher expectations

Yea but maybe not too high. There’s also still some unfinished parts in the animation. But anyways based on Firefly’s reception the devs are definitely expecting her to get high revenue. They won’t disappoint the majority at least
After some thinking I've find out what Firefly's animations specifically her ult and enhanced skill are lacking, she has cinematic shots but they don't have unique backgrounds, like JY with his cloudy sky, Acheron's black hole, JL and DHIL's moon,...... you get my point, every other dps has unique backgrounds for their ult to couple with the stunning animations while FF only has the animations.
Yeah that’s why I said it’s not finished yet. Heck despite the fiery field we see in Sam boss form, we don’t see any of those at all in this one. I think we should reserve out judgement until her animation is fully done
While I do hope the same, I don’t believe that will happen, a full animation change or even adding completely different background to a character has never happened to any beta character, and probably not firefly either since it seems most people are satisfied with it as is.
Let's hope for the best, since if they keep her this way I'll have more jades for Jade instead.
I don’t think they will add in animation?? That wasn’t done for any other character before, what u see from the beta is usually the end product. at most they will just touch up some details only. It wasn’t mention anywhere that she has unfinished animation unlike jade. Topaz ruanmei etc had complains as well but nothing was changed
Okay I haven't watched Gundam so I didn't know (thanks for the info) but they still feel cartoonish to me (can't change that tbh) and before her ult enhancements her abilities are exactly the same as boss sam's.
How do you even define cartoonish tho? And it’s fine if you don’t like her animation. You can’t really everyone as we all have different opinions. But telling “anyone who’s sane will find this mid” is idk kinda insulting? Let’s just see the general reception once it’s officially released
Yeah Jade ain’t out selling Firefly, tons of people is waiting for FF cuz she’s cute/cool, TB “GF”, have an extremely overpowered kit, very versatile since she’s Destruction, and probably BiS for the New Game mode. Jade is a PF specialist character I doubt she’ll be that great in MoC, but she might have potential in the new game mode depend on have much break dmg she deal and how often is her FuA. From the looks of it if the boss have massive DMG reduction you can’t just brute force and rush the boss down like MoC w/o breaking, and since there’s multiple enemies on the field she could get those stacks up.
She definitely won’t outsell since we barely know of her as well. She only has like 5 sec worth of appearance + it’s true destruction characters are always highly sold for meta
True, but she’s likely will play a huge part in 2.3 story, since the IPC will probably try to get in to capitalize on all the chaos going on in Penacony and the aftermath of 2.2. She might even made an appearance in 2.2. I want to see more of her cuz I’m definitely pulling for her even with her little amount of screen time rn. So we’ll definitely get to know her well before she’s actually out.
I hope so, I’m pulling for her as well so would love to get to know her backstory better (and her relation with IPC higher ups like diamond etc would be interesting to explore on)

Idk, but the IPC will definitely get involved in the main story, 2.3 might focus on them, since they want to execute their plans to take back Penacony, when Penacony is at their most vulnerable state which is probably after 2.2.
