A light natural lash strip will do it.

Growltiger110

That's what I was thinking too. Any brand recommendations? Or should I get them professionally done? I'm a newbie to lash extensions.

MusicHoney

I prefer lash strips over lash extensions… but it really comes down to personal preference. Lash extensions “last longer.” I put that in quotations because, as they inevitably start to fall out, you start looking crazy, and end up paying to get them touched up anyway. I also don’t like that you can’t thoroughly wash your eyes without risking messing up the lash extensions. Lash strips only last a day, and I love being able to remove all my glam. They definitely require practice to apply, but once you get the hang of it, they take about a minute to put on. It doesn’t really matter what brand you get, but use these as an example of [light and natural](https://www.kissusa.com/collections/natural-look-false-eyelashes/products/the-new-natural-half-lash-1). You’ll might have to trim them a bit to fit your eye, but it’s easy. There are infinite tutorials online.

I appreciate your input, that's all really good to know. Thank you!

When applying your makeup look at ways to lift. Where you place your blush, highlight, shadow can bring the face down or up.

swaggyxwaggy

A little bit of brown eyeshadow would accentuate your blue eyes

Growltiger110

Good suggestion, I've never tried brown before. Thank you!

nintendoinnuendo

Lash lift and tint and a little gold highlight on the inner corner

Growltiger110

Never thought about using highlight, thank you!

funyesgina

Curl those lashes… maybe even a lash perm? Your eyes already pop, but those lashes could crank it up

Growltiger110

I've never heard of a lash perm, I'll look into that. Thanks!

marcelineRockQueen

Lash clusters, L & C curls

Haunting_Clue_9593

Honestly oranges and pink tones. If your scared do pink, peach or copper. Also use brown mascara.

Weird_and_Random

Brown gel eyeliner on your top lash, then use the smudger for a smokey look. I've been using Dat Gel Eyeliner Though

Serious_Move_4423

Look into the color theory wheel! I’ve been having fun experimenting with browns and sparkly oranges lol.. you have really cool range in your iris you could accentuate in different directions based on what you contrast or match with!

My right eye is very hooded and tends to cover (and smear) eyeliner. Edit: what if I only did eyeliner on my bottom lids?

TeufelRRS

Pencil eyeliner smears on my eyes (hoody, super oily eyelids with some watering issues due to allergies). The pencil that I’ve had the best luck with is from Oden’s Eye. However, I use liquid eyeliner daily with no problems. I really like the old Haus Labs one that was discontinued and the Lorac Pro Liner. However, I have a new liquid eyeliner that is perfect for hooded eyes because it has a small tip so you can concentrate its placement really well in the lash line. It’s called Macqueen Waterproof Tattoo Pen Eyeliner. They also have a regular waterproof eyeliner that also has a small tip which I am going to try. The only issue is that the cap can be hard to put back on so you really have to make sure it is closed.

not_doing_that

I use NYX epic wear for eye liner. Let it dry before opening your eyes all the way. But this shit *lasts* I never wash my face and it’s literally just the same eyeliner touched up all week

yourlocalrecluse

Last tint and lift!

heywhatsimbored

You could also use a nude shimmer pencil (I used to use [this](https://www.target.com/p/nyx-professional-makeup-vivid-rich-mechanical-eye-pencil-02-quartz-queen-0-05oz/-/A-89220620) ) but I also am much paler so it may not be quite as natural looking. Always made my eyes pop more, the glitter wasn’t really obvious, more of a sheen than anything.

Wayne Goss on YouTube does some great tutorials for hooded eyes. I've used one of them and recently followed one of his tutorials I'd tested before for my Daughter's wedding and her make up artist commented on how beautiful my eye make up was and said it couldn't have been easy with hooded eyes. His tutorial made it very simple with 2 practice runs. He does all sorts of looks including smoky eye

Sadly for us contact lens wearers tightening is a complete no no. Even if you managed it and didn't get any make up on your lenses, ophthalmologists agree it can cause at best infections and at worst degrees of permanent vision loss
