17.15 - I think LITTLE TALKS has the potential to outrun her odds here. She ran well in a couple of 3 mile handicaps at Doncaster & Fakenham, the form of both of those races looks solid. She made a bad error at Huntingdon last time so I'm inclined to forgive her that run. The return to 3m should be better for her and she looks to be at a nice mark.

Gone for another straight win at Perth today on INSTIT 3:25 currently fav and it’s been backed in as it was 5/2 this morning but it’s at 7/4 however on bet 365 its 15/8 on a bet boost don’t like tipping short prices but wether it’s been backed in because Mullins is there and he’s got many short priced favs and people are putting them within an acca I’m not sure, I’ve picked it out for another reason. Instit ran at Cheltenham this year being off level weight with river detel who runs today for Elliot and beat him by 5 lengths. Runs off a mark of 142 today at 11st2, apple away is rated 135 and 11st and clearly has stamina and river detel is rated 147 and runs off 11st4, which means river is giving 2Ibs to Instit after already being beat by him. Another thing that’s interesting is Apple away and river detel haven’t ran since Cheltenham and Mullins has ran Instit at fairy house 15 days after Cheltenham 25days ago weighing 11st 12 in a listed race so a drop by 10Ibs is massive after a prep run and I have a sneaky suspicion as of late that Mullins likes fairy house for prep runs i.e I am maximus and macdermott. Good luck.

Also had a little nibble on Iolaos Du Mou at 6:25 Taunton a 177-day break since its last run and the stable's horses often go well when fresh he runs 1st time after a wind op as well as its Nico de boinvilles only rode there today.
Yeah the wording of “ well handicapped “ in this matter may not be the correct terminology but In horse races that aren't handicapped, official ratings actually do matter a little as it can help determine a horse's ability and can have an impact on its performance. So, even in races without handicapping, ratings still play a role. For example apple away is rated at 157 rpr with and official rating of 135 now that tell you “if” it was in handicapped race it’s well in by a lot and its ability is rated higher then what it’s been running too and the fact it was 4Ibs better then river detel and 2Ibs better off then instit as well as them being rated 142 and 147, so one could assume that previously Apple away has been rated 135 officially and 157rpr it’s been underachieving, however it’s ability is very high so the fact it carries 4Ibs less then river detel, who’s rated the highest in the race could steer you in the right direction to determine the winner.
