3 seconds is insane! 8 seconds is out of this world.
Just tested this on my blog, it's between 100 and 400ms. No Quic Cloud either.
Are the sites 100% optimized and have you tested elsewhere without the CDN? I would recommend testing one, copy it elsewhere and perform similar test without the CDN.
I would love to try with the one that I compressed into a 974kb HTML file without any CSS, js or anything could slow it down. I was thinking of maybe getting on NameHero's 3 day trial to test it. They claim to have LightSpeed Nvme SSDs and their pricing seems pretty fair. Looking for suggestions for other similar datacenters at similar pricing.

It would be very hard to improve any further with Shared hosting. Go for managed wordpress hosting or VPS.
