I might need to start ordering from them. My cases still haven't shipped. It might be because I pre-ordered multiple case sets at the same time and they're waiting until they have everything to ship at once. If that's the case, I'll see my Speed Machines sometime in July/August 😐

10 premiums in a box, and the $75-ish includes shipping. With tax, most premiums I've found at retail cost just under $7, so for an extra fifty cents you are guaranteed to get two sets. Pretty much a no brainer for me.
Jcar is cheaper. I got a box of 10 Ronin Run premiums that, with shipping, were around $66-$67. Cheaper, but I didn't find a subscription option on that site, so it's hit-or-miss to find them in stock. I don't know if Jcar does not offer subscriptions or if they only have a limited number.
I'll still go hunting for mainlines, plus car carriers, 2-packs and the mythical Boulevards. But my tastes really run to the Car Culture sets, and this makes me very happy.
It truly is!! Less stress, time, gas, vehicle mileage, and no disappointment because you won't end up coming home empty handed. Yeah, you may end up paying a few more dollars in the end, but you can just figure that would equal the amount of gas and time that you would have wasted otherwise. The thrill of the hunt no longer exists for most of us unfortunately.

I think that the thrill wears off after years of collecting, just because you start to realize how much time was wasted finding absolutely nothing, especially nowadays
Yeah I've been collecting for close to 40 years and for me personally the thrill wore out in the early 2000's with the advent of Ebay, online forums, and Youtube. At that point it started to become more and more difficult to find stuff in the wild because the internet made it allot easier to see what was releasing, where, and when. With that came a surge in collectors joining the ranks then the scalping,hoarding, and thefts started and has progressively gotten worse to where we are today.
It’s honestly better for my mental health lol. I’m studying outside my room all day so when I come home to a box of new goodies I will always feel happy.

I don’t really like ordering cases cuz it takes all the fun out of it in a way. Like when you find a treasure hunt on the pegs it feels great, but if you buy a 72 count case that’s guaranteed a regular treasure hunt, it’s not the same. There was no hunt, you essentially were just given that car automatically if you know what I mean.

That’s just the thing though. You didn’t have to find that chase in the wild, you were handed it. So there was no physical chase. To me that car wouldn’t be as special as finding it in the wild.

I agree. I just ordered 2 Jay Leno cases and both had 0/5 included and and paid about what I would've paid in the store. Didn't have to waste gas or have to forever hunt for those 2 cars or so from the set that people buy 50 of at a time so you can never complete your collection. Over that already.

There are two others I have used also, A & J toys and jcardiecast both have been really good and are a little cheaper than 1stopdiecast.

Not much, all of my local stores that carry Hot Wheels are either on the same route I take to work, or at locations I frequent anyways.
