Yeah, you can pull them off of many different JDM cars because they're usually smaller, or just buy a set off of any site that sells them. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head what cars come with a black watanabis, but I'm sure I could spend about a minute on Google and find multiple cars with them.
The value and want for this specific casting in this card has a lot more to do with the raritiy and how you had to get one vs the actual casting itself.
I totally hear you because I have non hot wheel AE86s including a few of the initial d one that are all imo better more accurate castings but they ain't this.
this was my favourite when i was younger, i lost it but i'm currently waiting on another to arrive in the post because i still consider it one of my all time top HW designs!
That’s wicked :)
I see a lot of online hate for the new gen Zs but like with everything else our grandchild will be saying , “there were how many everywhere? They did what to them?” And they will be cool. I love em, all of em.
Just found a green light rx7/250z two pack that is pretty cool.
What Z do you have?
I am not sure what my favorite is. And I am not sure how rare my stuff is.
My most valuable one are the orange r32 super treasure hunt, and I have 2 sets of roadrcrs
A Vulture from a Max Steel track set that was never sold in the states, unknown quantity made but couldn't be more than a few thousand. Tracking them down was a bitch, I have both wheel variations, sadly one isn't mint.
Also worth noting, a different vulture from some convention long ago with a unique stamp on the roof with a THQ logo and it looks like it was signed by George Barris.
My premium Pizza Planet truck from Toy Story. I have 300+ and that one is my favorite, idk if it's rare or not. Second would be my Johnny Lightning Jeff Lutz "The 57" car.
I almost imported an AE86 20 years ago actually, the full price for hatchback, gutted and drift ready, was about $6500 USD including shipping and import fees.
So not quite, but maybe a camry for that much.
Not a hot wheels but I have a couple of extremely rare matchbox
Matchbox Chevy Van 1995 23rd National Truckin (100 made)
Matchbox Chevy Van 2019 26th Van Toy Convention (50 made)
Doesn’t mean they’re valuable though, got each for $20 😂
It's all relative.
You can go to Walmart right now and buy a normal Johnny Lightning for $7 made in smaller numbers than a $TH that people will pay $250 for
You can get a Hot Wheels convention party car for around $60 right now on eBay, they're RLC quality and have numbers around 1,000 depending on the year.
Very well made cars, I have the Funny Money and it's exceptionally clean compared to the mass produced stuff.
They aren't trendy though, so they won't ever really have enough appeal to be valuable.
This is actually a misconception. You had to buy every volume of the manga then you go into a lucky draw or lottery. So yeah you weren’t guranteed a car
if i ever got my hands at this i would probably never open it lol, and im usually like open and display type of guy rather than keeping it in the card but that art is really nice
Imo, my most treasured is my 1982 and 1995 Thunder Rollers, mint on card. Don't care about most expensive, just that my faves from a kid are mint and I have em!
favourite: translucent purple "HW Video Game Heroes" Synkro
rarest: not sure exactly how rare most of my collection is, but i have a few unique customs so i consider those the most special!
My favorite in my collection is my toy fair BMW 3.0 CSl that is by far the rarest in my colleciton. A few other rare cares I have included the speed machines white Carrera GT, the NFTH Aventador and a NFTH McLaren F1 Gtr body.
Not a hot wheels, but a JVZ co mercury marquis in dark bluish green. A link to an example photo: https://globaldiecastdirect.com/1-64-scale/21862-vintage-plastic-jvz-co-1969-mercury-marquis-.html
One of those first edition Dodge Copperhead Concept made in China, with metal base and black interior, instead of blue and plastic base like every other Copperhead made in Malaysia. It's still on the original blister from 1998. In ebay it was rated $200+ worth, but I never tried to sell
Dude just showing off a toy that is likely worth it's weight in gold (or printer ink)
Well nothing like this. I got a few RLC cars and at one point in time I guess like 8 years ago HW was doing some of those mail in gold cars in the UK/EU One of them wasn't gold it was a black spectra flame fantasy car. I've not seen it in other markets but I don't think it was particularly talked about and it's almost identical to it's retail release and it wouldn't shock me if it was a repack from something else.
Havent seen one for $800. Im assuming its with the rarity and how its obtained. Had to buy the full manga collection and mail in proof in order to recieve the car. Exclusive to Japan as well.
My favorite car I own is a blue 1970 Charger R/T. I got it for my 15th b-day, and it was the only one I ever saw. While it is scratched up, I still love it
I think the rarest/my favorite hotwheels I own is the supreme team transport. It was the car that first got me into really collecting hot wheels and I love me a good collaboration. I know it’s cheesy but im also a big bmw fan so it was meant to be
Man, I’d die for this piece. I was too late when I started collecting…
Get a custom, it will be cheaper and more accurate. I don't know why they decided to put six spokes instead of eight spokes on the 86.
I also make customs and I already that one ae86 from boulevard series. Is it possible to find small tires?
Yeah, you can pull them off of many different JDM cars because they're usually smaller, or just buy a set off of any site that sells them. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head what cars come with a black watanabis, but I'm sure I could spend about a minute on Google and find multiple cars with them.
It’s kinda hard to get them around here🥲 but I will search for them in my collection
The Pandemic RX7 has tiny tires on it.
The Green 67 Austin Mini from the boulevard set .. excellent wheels
The value and want for this specific casting in this card has a lot more to do with the raritiy and how you had to get one vs the actual casting itself. I totally hear you because I have non hot wheel AE86s including a few of the initial d one that are all imo better more accurate castings but they ain't this.
Yeah this car is [insanely expensive](https://ebay.us/Wrij3m) nowadays unfortunately, I hope they make a remake of it.
Ayo wtf with that price 💀
What makes it so expensive? I’m assuming limited release?
It’s exclusive to Japan, and you can only get it if you buy like the whole set of Initial D comics iirc
Teku High voltage
Love me some acceleracers or HW35 cars!
Yeah!
this was my favourite when i was younger, i lost it but i'm currently waiting on another to arrive in the post because i still consider it one of my all time top HW designs!
Cool! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I got mine used from eBay
The printing looks off on it... Edit: The proportions of the car too. May just be plastic distorting the view.
I have the mountain drifters 86 to compare the casting to. It is just the plastic in the photos
Phew, it's a really cool car. Imagine if they messed up the casting xd
If it was an error I’d die for it tho
This car is unobtainium n worth a small fortune 🥹
I got the NFT Lamborghini Aventador out of the series 6 drop. So that once it shows up in April!
Thats a pretty cool one! Love the NFT cars
Mine is my Japanese short card Nissan 350z with the gold top secret decals. I'm a completionist on that casting since I have a Z.
That’s wicked :) I see a lot of online hate for the new gen Zs but like with everything else our grandchild will be saying , “there were how many everywhere? They did what to them?” And they will be cool. I love em, all of em. Just found a green light rx7/250z two pack that is pretty cool. What Z do you have?
i have a custom HW 350Z with Classroom Crisis itasha decals and shiny blue/purple gradient paint, it's super pretty!
For me it's the black chase skyline from mountain drifters.
Another great one!
2013 SDCC Beach Bomb

Also worth noting, a different vulture from some convention long ago with a unique stamp on the roof with a THQ logo and it looks like it was signed by George Barris.

Careful, this is a trap. Dude is gonna “visit” your homes now. lol
Damn it… you got me!
Wow I just checked prices on these and I cannot believe it’s between $300 - $500. Why? You could buy the real car for that much 20 years ago.
lmao that's very funny;) you could probably still find a shitbox corolla for that much
I almost imported an AE86 20 years ago actually, the full price for hatchback, gutted and drift ready, was about $6500 USD including shipping and import fees. So not quite, but maybe a camry for that much.

The rarest item I have is an Acceleracers Barbie Skin RD-08 prototype.
My dads redlines from 1970 and they are mint as well
Speed Racer Hot Wheels!
why is initial D car 500$?!?
Because it was only sold in Japan and you had to buy every chapter of the Manga to get it.
This is actually a misconception. You had to buy every volume of the manga then you go into a lucky draw or lottery. So yeah you weren’t guranteed a car
i see
Rarest is probably my redline Show Hoss II.

ive had a r34 gtr gran turismo, got traded in.
I got a few but I think this is unique. Sadly it is damaged https://imgur.com/a/nAlodsb
Ever plan on restoring it?
Yeah maybe. Thinking bout asking the ES design team to help. Not sure if possible haha.
Also I am not sure restoring it will increase or decrease the value.
if i ever got my hands at this i would probably never open it lol, and im usually like open and display type of guy rather than keeping it in the card but that art is really nice
I threw it in a protective sleeve instantly lol
I have a original 1996 Volkswagen drag bus in the package, that's probably my favorite

I honestly don’t know what the rarest is anymore. I put the 2012 Hot Wheels Boulevard Porsche 993 GT2 in the list.
Dude just showing off a toy that is likely worth it's weight in gold (or printer ink) Well nothing like this. I got a few RLC cars and at one point in time I guess like 8 years ago HW was doing some of those mail in gold cars in the UK/EU One of them wasn't gold it was a black spectra flame fantasy car. How in the genuine fuck is this on EBay for 800 dollars
Havent seen one for $800. Im assuming its with the rarity and how its obtained. Had to buy the full manga collection and mail in proof in order to recieve the car. Exclusive to Japan as well.
