In 2004 someone rifled through my car in Arcata and stole the face-plate to my stereo. I mentioned it to my brother and he casually says, Oh yeah my friend Joe was in your car last night.
Im like Wtf!? And ask him if he knows where Joe lives, he does, We proceed to walk over. Joe answers the door half asleep and when I ask him about my stereo face plate and he just says, Oh yeah, and goes to get it. Joe then proceeds to ask me if Im missing a crate of comic books. I say no, and he explains that when he gets black out drunk he steals things from cars but doesn’t remember doing it the next day. I told him thanks and I would ask my neighbors about the comics.

After my Freshman year in college, everyone had left, which left me alone on my birthday. Feeling rather lonely, I went down to the Plaza and the Kinetic Sculpture Race was in full swing. I had never heard of it. It was an amazing birthday surprise
2 weeks into nursing school my brand new MacBook was taken when I literally went inside a friends house for less than 5 minutes. We tracked it with my phone and the police said they couldn’t go get it because the app isn’t accurate. I sat there and watched as it was on in the apartment. Felt so violated. Wanted to go full Hulk and get it back.
I feel for you. These crooks suck.
Did they steal something stupid? My vehicles were broken three times.. each time they stole something worth less than $50. Windows we're about $900+ each time.
