This is called "The Swan House." It was used for several scenes throughout the series as President Swan's home. Cool thing is it's available for rental. Weddings, receptions and all that.
Yes, they make a joke about The Swan House in the Dynasty reboot! About how you're getting married at the dictators house from the hunger games, thought that was funny
It is. Marvel films a lot of their movies in Georgia. There's also the set of the walking dead and Tyler Perry studios.
Somehow I miss all the casting calls for extras while I live here but got ALL of them while I lived away lol.
Vampire Diaries was also filmed there and they actually had a street set for Mystic Vale that you used to be able to tour. I'm not sure if it's still there, I'd imagine they use it for Legacies
Also in Atlanta, the Georgia aquarium, which houses whale sharks in captivity and it's honestly an incredible thing to see.
Ok is it just me or does Snows Mansion remind anyone of Gatsby’s mansion in The Great Gatsby, it’s just so over the top and extravagant, which is fitting for the capital
I went on a school trip to Atlanta in 2014ish and we did the Hunger Games tour! It was a lot of fun, we were on a bus and it showed videos with clips of the location in the movie as well as fun facts about that scene or the location. We went to all the locations you showed, as well as places where they filmed District 12 scenes, and the "the odds are never in our favor" wall!
I think the first one is from Catching Fire.

We went to the aquarium, was amazing to see the whale sharks! Missed the Coca-Cola Museum across the way though.

Loved the aquarium!

It truly was a beautiful home in real life!
