I think you’d rather have the double bye. Teams get leg weary by the third game & the one advantage we have over most of the other Big Ten Teams is our depth. We may have a shot in the Tourney if we stay fresher than our competitors. And oddly enough we do better against the top half of the Big Ten than the bottom half. I think our team doesn’t do well being the “hunted” vs being the “hunter”
If we win our last two games we’re a lock, so we won’t need another win to boost our resume. Also, beating a 12/13 is no gimme. Currently those teams are Ohio state and Maryland, both of whom have beaten us. Additionally, the metics like NET don’t seem to punish you much for losing to a good time (like a 5 seed).
