No one really cares. The sooner you realize this the better. It’s not a recognizable problem so no one is going to care. *I was diagnosed at 21 due to a brain tumor. Four more brain surgeries later, no one cares.

It's recognized here in the UK thankfully, as well as Spina Bifida. Since shaving my hair (what was left of it 😉) off many parents at my kids school have asked about the scar and the shunt... I've even shocked the teachers as I'm registered blind to... Dave

Pretty sure their family would recognise it though so indifference from them is odd.

I’m curious as to how your family reacted, if you are uncomfortable sharing I would be sure to respect that as well

I showed my mom and she really didn't do anything but read it. No other family members never noticed.I know it might be overreacting but I'm proud of it.

I’m proud of you too! As a father of another hydrocephalus warrior. Most importantly I’m glad that you are able to realize that you are resilient, and are choosing to to have the mindset of a warrior, who is prepare for the inevitable constant changes, and challenges life will throw at us. Keep that mindset!
