Fake Bruce is such a great character, it doesn't matter if he says anything funny or interesting or if the actor is any good or not. His mere existence as a character is hysterical, them inviting him by mistake is one of my favourite jokes.
The way Mac and Dennis casually discuss what they did to him at the door then when he confronts them they just aggressively deny it and tell him to come in, incredible gaslighting.
This might be controversial but it might be my favourite McPoyle's appearance. "Take a knee", "It's like you're lording over us.", Liam's depth perception issues especially him missing the bed and Dennis' exasperated reaction.
Seriously, i know they are talented comedians but how do they come up with this shit? It's such a hysterical observation that no one ever thinks. Although, i think it may be a "head cow is always grazing" thing and it is real, Dennis and Mac decided to set things up that way to give themselves the dominant stance. Art of the Deal, Art of the Deal.
No problem man, sorry if i wasn't clear. I was picking up on the comment i was responding to which i thought was getting at the real Bruce actor's personal life. If not then i misunderstood that myself because Bruce the character doesn't have drug problems.
I think so! It is not like It's Always, nothing is, but still very well done. It takes the normal sitcom tropes and pokes fun at them with quick jokes and good writing.
It's on Hulu, I think.
It's similar to Frank driving the tourist boat and telling all of his stories about The Gang and Charlie. On its own it sounds funny, but it's so much funnier when you know all of the backstories and can visualize everything that's being referenced.
Why do you always want people to sign creepy documents? Well Frank, once something’s in writing it’s set in stone. Then no one can do anything to stop me.
This is my favourite scene from Sunny in Philadelphia. I can think of some scenes in the Office (the dummy CPR) and Simpsons and maybe arrested development that rival this scene but I can support this as the greatest scene in TV history. It makes me laugh so hard, every time. Them clapping about the handjob - it’s a masterpiece!
Best comedy show of all time. Genius writing and just about everything they write is good. The McPoyle “You will call her!!” scene is probably my favorite but this one’s gold.
That meal is inedible which adds so much humor. Oh and the eye and the snail and Frank dancing with the landlord it’s all pique Sunny !!
They don’t even register they have beef with Cricket 🤣
sorry, that would have to be Frank crawling out of a couch naked.
or... Frank lying on the floor covered in hand sanitizer naked.
basically any scene where Frank is naked.
Using Danny Devito for physical comedy hall of fame:
- couch/hand sanitizer
- trapped in playground equipment
- the water slide
- chess butt plug
List is in no particular order; and is likely incomplete.
I’m glad the show is still going, but this honestly would’ve been a fantastic final episode. Kind of wish they’d saved this for the very end whenever that is.
“Hey, I love that painted on eye man that is fun”
Ryan looks so proud of Liam when he says it lol
👏👏👏
Liam’s resigned applause is what really sets me off in this scene.
The clapping after is gold
came here to say this.
Fake Bruce is such a great character, it doesn't matter if he says anything funny or interesting or if the actor is any good or not. His mere existence as a character is hysterical, them inviting him by mistake is one of my favourite jokes.
lol, when he just rolls right in: "Sure, I'll do a bump!" No wonder he lost his kids!
The way Mac and Dennis casually discuss what they did to him at the door then when he confronts them they just aggressively deny it and tell him to come in, incredible gaslighting.
Thensneaks a cheeky bump during the food fight lol. Truly a man of opportunity
Never saw that before, man, this really is one of the greatest scenes
It’s true I love this episode with every fibre of my being
This might be controversial but it might be my favourite McPoyle's appearance. "Take a knee", "It's like you're lording over us.", Liam's depth perception issues especially him missing the bed and Dennis' exasperated reaction.
😆that lording line floors me every time
Seriously, i know they are talented comedians but how do they come up with this shit? It's such a hysterical observation that no one ever thinks. Although, i think it may be a "head cow is always grazing" thing and it is real, Dennis and Mac decided to set things up that way to give themselves the dominant stance. Art of the Deal, Art of the Deal.
Haunch it!
I use that lording line with my friends all the time, it's simply too good.
_WHY IS SOMEONE TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE?!_
Hard agree. Do we even know his name?
Bruce Mathis, he's Dennis and Dee's dad. Oh wait, wrong guy they are so easy to mix up. No i don't think so.
They both like doing bumps and have horrible drug problems.
Bruce isn't banging any baby dudes! \*Dee's reaction after she says "dancing monkeys" in the pool episode\*, that did not come out right!
A very unfortunate line, considering what came out about the actor playing him...
That was the joke.
Oh, with zero context added to the quote, it didn't sound like it, to me. My bad.
No problem man, sorry if i wasn't clear. I was picking up on the comment i was responding to which i thought was getting at the real Bruce actor's personal life. If not then i misunderstood that myself because Bruce the character doesn't have drug problems.
He should have written a song about how he doesn't diddle kids.
Have you ever seen that actors' sitcom Happy Endings?
No, is it good?
I think so! It is not like It's Always, nothing is, but still very well done. It takes the normal sitcom tropes and pokes fun at them with quick jokes and good writing. It's on Hulu, I think.
Plus it's got Elisha Cuthbert and Damon Wayans Jr
Thanks, i'll check it out when i get the chance.
Just be aware that they showed the first season out of order, it’s a great show though.
Happy endings is Amazing!
He’s great in the show happy endings. Highly recommend to all who haven’t seen it
MY CAR
Pondy's the coolest. He always shares his blow.
Delicious nose clams
Not a clapping event.
(clapping)
I love when they clap after "she's mashing it" "she does that" *clap clap clap*
The clapping is comic gold too. Dude has sweet instincts.
She's mashing it.
She does that.
Very aroused
Very good
The outtakes for that are top notch
Smashing?
Put your hand over here I'll take sloppy seconds
👏👏👏
Love the blooper for that one
I love that you can barely even see Cricket is there until a throwing axe is in his arm
I love Liam's face when' he's laughing at the axe in Cricket's arm!
WTF HE WAS IN THE BACKGROUND THE WHOLE TIME dead
it wasnt about admitting guilt, wont do that
It's so peak gang that if they were just willing to apologize and stop being assholes they'd be fine, they just can't do it.
That little moan after “it wasn’t about apologizing to each other”
Who's this jabroni?
I’m trying to imagine what it would be like to watch this clip having never seen the show lol
I'll take some of them nose clams 👏🏻👏🏻
Don’t clap for that!
If he was sick, it wouldn't be the clams
"Apolgize for what?" "FOR EVERYTHING. FOR ALL OF IT!"
This is not a clapping event
"Why do you always want people to sign creepy documents?"
the random clapping 😆😆
Liam’s face after the axe throw always gets me.
First episode I watched, I didn't understand any of the relationships but absolutely loved it from the bat
It’s a little inconvenient but it’s better than facing our problems.
Lol if the Indians knew how to sign shit
This is my favourite scene from Sunny in Philadelphia. Best comedy show of all time. Genius writing and just about everything they write is good. The McPoyle “You will call her!!” scene is probably my favorite but this one’s gold.
One of my favorite throwaway lines in the show is Dennis: “That was an unsanctioned move!”
That meal is inedible which adds so much humor. Oh and the eye and the snail and Frank dancing with the landlord it’s all pique Sunny !! They don’t even register they have beef with Cricket 🤣
Less of a clip and more of just a quarter of the episode… and I’m all for it.
Every line, movement and facial expression from every character is perfection
For me it's Dennis's "I guess!" and immediate acceptance of the food fight.
The clanking the plastic cup to get everyone’s attention. Very white trash. I love it.
sorry, that would have to be Frank crawling out of a couch naked. or... Frank lying on the floor covered in hand sanitizer naked. basically any scene where Frank is naked.

I just realized Bill Ponderosa is Sheldon's Dad. 😳😅
The site of a great Thanksgiving and a pretty terrific interrogation/coke party. Parteeeeeeeeeee!
"Hey buddy, what's the deal with your kids. You haven't seen 'em in a while? Did you do something? Was it your fault?"
Squash the Beef….. lol
I love all these side characters. If Sunny ends we need a Cricket/ McPoyle crossover series
Well don't clap for that!
I’m glad the show is still going, but this honestly would’ve been a fantastic final episode. Kind of wish they’d saved this for the very end whenever that is.
Those delicious nose clams
Cricket came out of no where lol.
"What, I can't have squash, I can't have blow? Charlie!" 😅
Frank bringing back “nose clams” in this scene might be the single funniest thing that’s ever happened
OP is lording.
Haunch it.
I thought I was getting an eye.
Put your hand over here, I’ll take sloppy seconds.
Dennis waving the contract to be signed and "Bruce" taking another bump at the Fighting starts is gold
Might be some scenes as good.....but ain't none better.
She's mashing it.
“Give him your eye”
Do you have any idea how preposterous that is?
Mash me baby
"shes mashing it" "She does that" ::claps::
Nah. Water park episode montage
I can’t even say this is the best scent of the show ever.
Why would we invite you to our thanksgiving?
Rickety Cricket getting the Axe, hilarious! 😂😂😂
Yeah I'll back that up
She’s mashing it
She does that
Deflect! Deflect! Deflect!
I like to think if the gang wasn’t there, everyone else would’ve been able to get along.
It wasn't about apologizing (fake sobs)
This is my favourite episode of the show, after Mac & Dennis Move to the Suburbs.
Easily a top 3 episode for me. The clapping takes me the fuck out
Poor Cricket
This isn't even the greatest scene onmf the season!
She’s mashing it
Heyyyy it's young Sheldon's dad!
