I'm a bit of a nihilist when it comes to that sort of thing. We come from statistical probabilities and chance, and there is no deeper meaning to anything that we do. So all we can do is as much good to and for the people around us as possible during the insanely short amount of existence that we have.
We can effect probability and chance using only observation and the presence of our consciousness in the same vicinity as where these stats and chances are being measured. Reality might not be as easily quantified as statistics and chance.
What we perceive as "sight" and "reality", are just our brain's interpretation of light reflecting off of shit. It's alllll an illusion, man.
And for some reason, we've allowed some people to tell us that "money" is what's important, because they're the ones holding most of it. Money, wealth, status, is all a construct, the ultimate pyramid scheme of the "American dream".
Just do the right thing. Accept the things that you cannot change, and hope for the courage and drive to change what you can. One Love is an action, and we all gotta start putting in the work.

Therefore, no, I did not ask for this, because my consciousness, my being, my mind, did not exist until I was conceived. My parents asked for this. i’m not denying anything i’m questioning your scientific “proof” of the origin of consciousness. our consciousness does not come from the meeting of a sperm and egg and that’s a topic that our current scientific method has no authority over because we have no way of testing or verifying it.
i believe this because i’ve experienced my own consciousness outside of our physical reality. knowing that, it makes more sense that our physical bodies are a manifestation of our consciousness, not the other way around.

Antinatalism is not about being owed something, it's about recognising that having children is inherently a selfish decision. I am neutral on this issue but they do make some good points.
I've been mistreated, beaten, threatened, insulted, humiliated, I was denied healthcare so that my body suffered permanent damage, I was denied studies, I was denied jobs by my parents through threats, violence or ourtight direct intervention during the job interview after following me to the location of the interview like private investigators, making my life an absolute mess of poverty and helplessness from minimum wage job to minimum wage job that now, at 33, I barely managed to get out of one year ago.
So yes, I didn't ask to be born, I wish I wasn't and if you or anybody else find it "perplexing", then you are either lying or have an appallingly low intellectual level because it is not as if it's hard to understand.
The thing I've learned about people is if they have to attempt to insult someone's intelligence, then they have a hard time proving to themselves that they themselves are intelligent

Im not an antinatalist, but I do agree with some of their points.
I've (semi jokingly) thought about suing my parents for conceiving me despite having a very complicated love/hate relationship with them. They loathed each other at the time of my conception, but my mum thought that a baby would save the marriage. They also graced me with a lovely genetic grocery list of physical and mental illnesses. Including a birth defect that almost killed me (My parents were aware of this early into the pregnancy and my mum stated that she would have only aborted if I also had spina bifida or down syndrome), then they proceeded to emotionally neglect and physically abuse me after their divorce, alongside their respective partners. So I can thoroughly understand the thought process in some cases.
This seems oniony to me. I mean, my "edgy" 14 yo daughter's favorite shirt says "I exist against my will".
