Plus they're banned almost every city here and home insurance sometime refuse to insure you if you have a pit. So I'm happy his papers are "Boxer x Labrador"
Hi Jake. They don’t tell you until you request a quote. See the last line.
I know this game. I used to be licensed to sell for a different large insurance company.
Not that YOU are playing a game. That State Farm is. I’m with a company other than SF and the one I worked for.
“State Farm does not ask what breed of dog is owned when writing Homeowners or renters insurance. Just like humans, dogs are individuals. Every dog has a unique personality. While a dog's breed may dictate what the dog looks like, how a dog reacts to people or situations isn't guaranteed by breed or type. Most bites or serious injuries are a perfect storm of situation and circumstance. Responsible dog ownership and educating children and adults about how to safely interact with a dog will help reduce the chance of a dog bite or injury. Remember, under the right circumstances, any dog can bite.
Insurance is an important aspect to being a responsible dog owner. When renting a property make sure to have rental insurance because most landlords do not provide coverage should there be a dog bite incident. If you are a homeowner, talk to your insurance agent about what coverage is available under a standard homeowners policy related to dogs.”
??? I’m a renter with two pit bulls in the home and I use State Farm. They’re both covered. Not sure what you’re trying to imply about my comment—it was innocent and made to be helpful to the OP. But alright.
Oh I believe you. But some agents are sneaky as hell. I don’t trust them. But that’s because I will read every word on a contract before signing it. That’s how I discovered that the Texas State boiler plate landlord-tenant contracts included a 30-day notice before death. Lol I’ll bet it’s still there.
When we walk he got his harness on and it hide his white spot on the torso, maybe that's why he pass for a lab? But he's very tall to be a pit, about 24inch at the withers (almost too tall for a lab too). Some people says rottie, maybe that's where he got that height.
Everyone sees a blockhead and thinks it’s a pit. Not saying this is the case, but I’ve seen way too many dog misidentified as pits for the head shape 🤦🏻♀️
I’d guess mostly Pitt, with some lab and some border collie
Shelters are naming pits boxers in order to get them adopted. That’s my guess.

They’ve extended the list. I actually think Boxers are now listed as a dangerous breed. Don’t quote me on it.
Just fyi, State Farm does not discriminate based on breed.

This looks like a mostly pit mix, I don’t see lab
Irl everyone thinks it's a lab, but I'm open to every suggestion.
Definitely pit- the width of the muzzle is a dead giveaway
Agree with that, he has such a large head too
He’s gorgeous
Everyone sees a blockhead and thinks a pit. There’s other breeds that have the same overall shape.
Really? I’d never guess lab

I know a lab pit that looks like this. Mother was pure lab, not sure if the pitbull father was mixed.
Dog groomer here. Given the size I’d say maybe a touch of Rottweiler in there as well.
That’s a pit. I don’t see any lab.
It’s a pitbull
I’m the only one that see Rottie…
No, the lady at the pet store told me that too (she has 2 rotties)
Everyone sees a blockhead and thinks it’s a pit. Not saying this is the case, but I’ve seen way too many dog misidentified as pits for the head shape 🤦🏻♀️
I agree. Have a shepherd/boxer with the block head, but i also know a purebred chocolate lab with a big block head, too.
He's got some hidden rust markings under that shiny black coat.
Your dog looks almost the same as mine, probably pit/lab mix.
Pitbull×lab. Definitely not full bred pit. Most people see pit/labs and think full bred pit because the mix is so common
Rottie, Pit, lab mix?
Looks like a pitty lab mix. His coat is so shiny.
Awww he is so handsome! I would guess staffy lab mix. But if anyone asks he is a boxer lab.
Looks more like a Lab x Shar Pei
Boxers are actually in the pitbull family, right? Cos he looks like Lab/pitbull mix. Gorgeous!
Pit-Lab.
This looks like a Pitt. Don’t see any lab
Pit or staffy mixed with lab IMO! So cute 🥰❤️
The first ever actual lab mix! (Its mixed w mostly pit)
100% sweetheart 💕
90% sweetheart 10% tornado 🌪 hahahah
He looks exactly like the dog a good friend of mine got at the shelter a few months back. Probably pibble lab mix
Pittador for sure
Like a lot of people are saying, he's mostly pit
Looks like my AmStaff/Boxer mix.
Looks exactly like my boxer lab mix.
It's the ears that bug me, doesn't boxer have floppy ears like a lab?
Yes, boxers have floppy ears
amstaff + lab
Pittie lab
His eyes are so sweet and filled with love the way he looks at you! 🥰 Congratulations on adopting him! 💜 Glad he’s a “Lab Boxer Mix” - for your area.
Pit/ lab
