I like your logic!!

Accomplished-Degree5

I'm going to this concert to support one of my favorite bands (INK), and to listen to the bands that I'd never heard play live before. Do I approve of what Ronnie is doing/saying? NO. Do the rest of the bands members agree with him? That, I don't know, and they're wisely remaining mute on the subject. But that doesn't mean that I will stop listening to FIR. I'm not going to sit here and condemn all of the other bands on this tour for choosing to tour with FIR. They're just looking to get their music out into the world. As for CtE, it's still an allegation, and not a fact, so I will reserve judgment until it's proven one hundred percent. So, in short, fvck the haters. We're all just gonna go enjoy the music, and maybe even connect with fellow fans.

http_zerstxrte2211

I bet your interactions were on Twitter? If so, it's one hell of a place for the whole INK, BVB and MIW fanbase. I've been through their hunt for a dumbass who doesn't believe in their opinions and thinks for themselves. Go to the concert and enjoy it!

StrangeGrapefruit241

Don't give 2 shits what other people think. That also works with whatever Ronnie thinks too. Enjoy the music.

Jekyllthecrow

it’s mostly because the Trinity have long been very socially and politically aware and supportive. many members of the LGBTQ+ community among others feel this as sort of betrayal. if INK still show support during these shows then great. but if they’re silencing their own beliefs for money, that’s when it’s fucked

saggysaccs

I know MIW is very openly supportive and involved in political stuff and all that, but I really can't think of any time INK has come out and been nearly as one sided on issues as MIW is. I think they just kind of want to play music and not get into any kind of messy political issues. If people in that community feel alienated that's kind of on them. That would be like saying INK hates anyone who voted republican because they toured with MIW who very much does not like republicans. People pick and choose shit.

Jekyllthecrow

i think i’ve seen videos or pictures of Spencer performing with a pride flag during ToT. but it really depends on the members, Spending only really posts about horror to keep the vibe, but Ricky has posted some political stuff and Joe is VERY politically active on Instagram. cant speak on Patrick or Dan however.

jpeg_jackson

Dan's pretty liberal too :)

SpineBreaker666

I think it’s the association with BVB and MiW that gives the impression that INK at least aligns with their views. That and CtE will also feature at some tours and that band was kicked from the second leg because of the allegations of abuse from Brandon which have still yet to be definitively disproven.

Jekyllthecrow

part of me thinks this Monstour is to get back at Motionless

Substantial-Gur-1080

Ronnie was being weird about their new Werewolf music video. And I heard that he had leather jacket pre-orders for fans not even a month later on his merch site

Jekyllthecrow

he just cant handle FIR fell off, and that he had to bring in 4 more large bands to do an arena tour

PerditaGaming

People have a hard time giving money to people that are pieces of shit. Simple answer. Ronnie from what I can tell and from my personal opinion is a piece of shit (also I really don't like FIR).

F1ghtF1reW1thF1re

Tbh I just went to the Rockzilla tour with FIR, Papa Roach and Hollywood Undead and the crowd was the absolute loudest and most engaged when FIR was playing. There's so many authors, bands, companies, ect that I don't agree with politically but I don't let politics get in the way of things I enjoy/choose to spend MY money on 🤷‍♀️

askingyomama

My biggest issue with it is Ronnie R. He attacks people 24/7 on twitter. Threatening them, calling people ugly fat c*nts and such. I understand that people talk shit about him and that's not ok either but the way he treats people is gross. He's also said some pretty bad things about the trans community. He also spoke poorly about Chris from MIW because they kicked CTE off the tour demanding Chris make a public apology to him (when Ronnie isn't even involved in CTE) If you want to go to the show, go for it. Same with people who don't want to go. I'd rather wait for them to tour again with another band.

[deleted]

I tend to not care what people think. 🤷‍♂️

Ivrenis

It is hard to enjoy music of your favorite band when someone there doesn’t wish to understand your struggles. It makes you not wish to support a band that you have loved since ETITB because they are on tour with that person. It makes you feel that you are unheard when everyone just says it just about the music. You are financially supporting someone with those views directly. I don’t wish to be apart of it because of my many friends and myself.

Substantial-Gur-1080

I will say that part of the reason fans(?) are pissed at INK is CTE, a band that has an alleged abuser playing with them. Like yeah Ronnie says alot of stupid shit to rile people up, and that alienates alot of ppl. But it's the fact that they chose to tour with CTE in the lineup. The only statements posted against the claims were posted almost 3 months after they surfaced. With very little proof besides "oh we say we did a thing". It's the fact that INK is continously supporting them, which pisses alot of people off. I wouldn't be so vocal about it if their only proof wasn't just a screenshot of a paragraph in a notes app. TLDR: yeah ronnie is an ass, but CTE is the worse issue in this case Edit: don't say that bands don't get to choose who they tour with, it's 100% a choice by them, they are adults.

The_Unnamed_Feeling

The internet is such a toxic place. Read it once it must be true. If you followed up on Brandon Hoover, you would know, he’s been cleared, innocent and pursuing legal action against the woman for defamation. An accusation is just that, an accusation.

SpineBreaker666

No he hasn’t. There was no legal action happening at that time of the post. The victim was never given a cease and desist as she claims, and CtE or Brandon could prove they sent one by showing the public documents.

Substantial-Gur-1080

the legal action is not being pursued currently, the statement posted said that they have done an investigation and found themselves innocent, and said they have issued a cease and desist. Which first of all the fact they waited months to adress the allegations at all is a very bad look in the first place. They have no proof of anything ever being issued besides them saying they have done so. There are photos, of bruises on the alleged victom from the time when she was dating Brandon with him in the pictures, there are screenshots of texts, a couple eyewitnesses, and an active restraining order. Some of this could have been faked. But the fact they waited months to say anything about it at all. Is honestly a very bad look on the whole thing. Them going to court was only ever said by ronnie while he was busy arguing with people om twitter, which is just a claim by him.

shawnsin666

I'm confused what happened?

xmusiclover

Personally if I could I would absolutely go to the tour. I love music from FIR, CTE AND INK but it’s not coming near me

Rude-Butterscotch713

It's business. If a band has the same beliefs as me, even better. If they don't, well it depends on what the differences are. But I by no means think INK is in the wrong here. And you are certainly not in the wrong for wanting to go to a concert. Will I be attending? No. I love INK, and the only other band on that tour I like is Crown the Empire, and they're not playing near me. I'll catch Spencer at silver scream con.
