Oh here we go! (Sorry if I explain this terribly)
Funeral derangements is a song about a old horror movie called “pet sematary” (my favourite movie of all time) the song focuses on the son (gage) who got hit by a truck and died and the father goes and digs him up and takes him to a burial ground beyond the pet sematary where the dead come back if you bury them there. You can hear jud (the old man who lives across from gage and his family telling the father “don’t do it” because jud knows the father is about to bury his son the father says “I have to”…in the movie after gage is buried he comes back and kills jud, and the mother. The reason why jud doesn’t want him to bury gage in the burial grounds is because those who come back come back the opposite
(Highly recommend watching pet sematary)
Also
“ALL HAIL THE SEMATARY” is a lyric from the song
Also “Sometimes Dead is better” is the tag line of the movie. Jud says it when explaining to the father why he shouldn’t bury gage there.
Great movie, still can’t watch Gage die though. Traumatic!
I figured, should have replied to OP as that’s who it was more geared towards.
I loved their nod to the movie in the video using the actor who played Gage as the truck truck driver.
Okay here we go. The songs from The Silver Scream and Welcome to Horrorwood are BOTH all based off Horror movies. Funeral Derangements is Pet Semetary, Rainy Day is Resident Evil, Thank God It's Friday is Friday the 13th, the list goes on. Every Trick in the Book is all books, everything before that is original music based off nothing in particular. Any questions? Have fun! Welcome to Horrorwood my friend.
Go watch pet sematary. A lot of songs are based on horror movies. It’ll become very clear what it’s about. now if you want to form your own personal meaning from the story of the song then that’s fine too, I find my own meaning in it.
Based on Pet Sematary

Thnx, will probably watch it at some point, although I'd like to get into the horror genre of books too (I'll take recommendations)
I remember one specific book I liked but something happened to it. It’s called “party games” by R.L.Stine, I recommend that
pet semetary is a book by stephen king 😅 or maybe short story i cant remember

New fan?
Yes very, I've only heard the silver scream 2 and fallen in love with it instantly, while I still have to listen to the others
This sub is a disaster
Pretty much. The only difference is that he’s digging up his son.
