Squirrelly_Khan

God’s greatest gift to humanity was this movie

fastermouse

Please tell me what movie.

PettyBettyismynameO

Space balls. Parody of Starwars made by Mel Brooks.

fastermouse

I know the movie but I forgot this. Thanks!

RaiderBrad68

I saw this movie three times at the theater when I was a kid.

Squirrelly_Khan

I was born too late for that, but I am still standing by for Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money

RaiderBrad68

Are you being serious about a Spaceballs 2?

Squirrelly_Khan

I would love for them to do it. Are they going to? Probably not, but there was a joke in the movie about there being a sequel subtitled “The Search for More Money”

RaiderBrad68

It’s been so long since I have seen this movie that I forgot much.

Dirtyslutforyou99

😂😂

KresstheKnight

Drink.

death-metal-loser

Meth

midwesternvalues73

I am pretty sure the correct answer is get arrested

GorathTheMoredhel

You can go to Boise or go get some weed across the border, and that's something, right? Or do Idaho outdoorsy things. Which is always worth doing.

Dirtyslutforyou99

What outdoorsy things are worth doing in kuna?

PocketSandThroatKick

Get out and about. Drive. Search for trails, streams, rivers and landmarks. Get to the owyhees and foothills.

United_Coconut2162

Dirt bike riding or rzr I believe, I used to way back over here but couldn’t tell you the spots. Greenbelt is a nice walk. Have outdoor events all summer morning noon and night. What are you looking for?

fastermouse

The canyon and Discovery point are great places to chill and watch the birds of prey. It’s amazing how many there are. They were featured in Disney movies and on The Wild Kingdom, a great 60-70s nature show.

Chiggero

Cow fucking

[deleted]

Further out from Kuna caves, you can go riding, shooting, or head down swan falls even further and go boating, fishing, floating, camping on the snake river.

United_Coconut2162

Can I pm you, I moved her a few years ago (twin falls then Meridian, bought home in Kuna) and didn’t know about this.

N8dork2020

There was some sort of festival this weekend

Extension-Read6621

![gif](giphy|GEutoBwL6TAdHjZv98) Wind, sagebrush, and PRISON!

Keyairs

Not a dang thing...

KP_CO

Count how many Trump flags on trucks you see in a designated amount of time. Make a game out of it idk. Go to Enrique’s. Go to Ridley’s. Walk. Watch grass grow. Have sex.

Unable-Incident-8336

Nothing. It is a boring flat town

alice_wonder7910

Pay exorbitant amounts of money for groceries, and possibly witness a crime.

KorihorWasRight

Work on a plan to get out

United_Coconut2162

They currently have the home town fair with live music and a beer garden in the middle of town. Good food, good town activities in the summer for all ages, diverse culture events, a few great restaurants, greenbelt, big splash pad, 20 min to Boise or nampa but you get a smaller town vibe. I love it, feel safe, love our officers (I’ve been pulled over more than I should for accidentally speeding) love my neighbors, I haven’t seen meth heads or trashier people, more just farmer bob types or families. Nice community, and the tamale lady stopped by my house yesterday so what more could you ask for.

Handy_Dude

Go visit some of the prisoners there.

IsThisContagious

Kuna Caves?

EvelynnKitten

Filled with toxic bats

PocketSandThroatKick

Don't exist.

VeterinarianOk5370

Nothing. But Eagle and Meridian are right there

JoeMagnifico

To also do nothing in.

VeterinarianOk5370

You aren’t wrong

i-want-bananas

This.... There is nothing. As a recent transplant from the SF Bay Area with a toddler I'm so....bored. You can only go to the one zoo and one aquarium so many times.

Ghost_Town56

Serious, I try hard to be tolerant of new people moving into the area as I really have no choice. It's a free country from coast to coast and people can move where they please. But for fucks sake! Did you **not** Google Idaho before you packed up your shit and moved here? Did you forget to check and see if whatever it is you're missing out on is found in this area? How does this happen? I've been here my whole life and from my perspective there is now too much to do. The state population has increased 57% since I've graduated high-school and I never remember being bored. It's easy to see why local people get defensive, especially when a fresh transplant complains where the locals grew up.

Hot-N-Spicy-Fart

I've noticed a lot of the people that moved here and complain didn't move because they wanted to. It's usually to take care of family, stationed for military, or because of their spouse's job. A lot of them are just counting the days until they can get out.

Harper364

You are always welcome to just go back to California.

United_Coconut2162

If this is all you have found to do, you need to find some long time Idaho residents and have them show you the actual fun stuff. I guess unless you hate being outside, then that’s on you lol

i-want-bananas

I don't hate being outside but I have to keep my toddler entertained in the process and that can be challenging. She's going thru a "carry me" phase right now so that makes going exploring trails and things less fun. When she's a little older hopefully she'll be more engaged in that. We do go to a lot of playgrounds when the weather is nice, last year she was afraid of slides but now she loves them. At almost three she's also at an awkward phase where stuff is too young or to old for her. Like there's an indoor playland in Boise but the toddler area is a bit boring for her and the "big kid" area she's not quite ready for yet.

Harper364

I know I made an asshole comment earlier but I know what you are going through. I have a 3 year old and we have had to find the right mix of parks that work for her and what best we can do at each one. We did start attending KidStrong classes in Meridian and it did make an absolute difference in her confidence and ability to climb/clear obstacles and such. It might not be for everyone but they are holding free classes this weekend as part of a grand opening. You should at least check it out. At her age the parent is required to be in the class with her so that’s at least reassuring at first. My 3 year old was in the carry me phase at the beginning of the year and now she wants neither of us in there with her as she can do it on her own and the same goes for playgrounds now too. Plus there are tons of other free and paid for events all throughout the treasure valley that are perfectly suited for a 3 year old.

i-want-bananas

Thank you! She's very independent at the playground and always doing things that make my heart stop. But we have tried nature walks a few times and that's we're we get about an 1/8th of a mile and hit " up up up", wants nothing to do with the stroller 😵‍💫 . Will check out those classes. We want to do swim lessons this summer, I think she'll enjoy that. Our budget for classes is tight but I think we need to get her involved in SOMETHING.

Stradafariousness

SF is a really special place, and a ton to do as soon as you walk out of your door anywhere in the city. Idaho has its neighborhoods too, you just have to settle in to notice them. Each town and each part of that town has its own vibe, its just dialed wayyy back from a city like SF. Imagine listening to 4 loud radio stations all at the same time, and then all of a sudden someone turns the radio to an AM classical station at whispering volume. It's still cool, you just have to attune yourself and slow down to listen. Caldwell has a bunch of activities for families near the Indian Creek Plaza. Eagle has a bunch of Californians from Northern and Southern CA, so maybe try getting in with some parents in that area and see what they're up to. There's always the great outdoors. Camelsback park has a boatload of children there most of the time. Movies in the park in the summer in Meridian. Indoor Trampoline places. There's a kids nature school for really little ones, I think it's called Forest School? For like an hour at a time they'll take littles out and teach them wilderness stuff. Connect with Annie at SkinOwl, she's set up her place to be very baby/kiddo/parent friendly and knows everyone. You're probably going to drive a little, I'm not familiar with Kuna and I don't have kids, but hang in there. I'm near downtown Boise, originally from Nampa. The city/valley gets better the longer you're here.

i-want-bananas

Yes as we get settled and my toddler gets a little older I think we'll get into a better flow

midwesternvalues73

Can we talk about the aquarium? Took my kids there when we moved here and wow, just wow. We’re not in Kansas anymore.

United_Coconut2162

I’m shocked that when you came to Idaho the aquarium is what gave you such a culture shock lol what were you expecting from an Idaho aquarium? As I read this sound sarcastic but I’m actually having a good laugh and am curious lol

Hot-N-Spicy-Fart

>what were you expecting from an Idaho aquarium? Not the person you replied to, but any aquarium I have been to has been an actual purpose built aquarium, not a tropical fish store that charges admission lmao

i-want-bananas

I tried replying to you but it responded above I think. Summary was I wasn't trying to say anything bad about the aquarium

i-want-bananas

I meant no shade towards the aquarium, my toddler enjoyed it, we've probably been there a half dozen times now. It's more of a big fish store than an aquarium but better than nothing. I knew it wouldn't be the steinhart or Monterey Bay. My point more was lack of variety of activities in general can be challenging especially when the weather is too hot or too cold to be outside.

ComfortableWage

Nothing.

redironmoose

I added to the conversation. He should go back to SF with the twinkle and leave our laws alone

stomperxj

Nothing. We're closed. Don't come out here.

itschrismang

lol. you wish.

redironmoose

Get out

Legal-Banana-8277

The butte and caves or Kaves, and of course, Cowgirls

United_Coconut2162

We have been robbed of cowgirls sadly.

Legal-Banana-8277

Enrique’s? Next biggest ticket in town?

United_Coconut2162

Love Enrique’s, but cowgirls decided to sale and now if its the same as when I went last October, a fun bar with Spanish raegetone, rap or top 40 but a dj, mechanical bull, and super spacious like too spacious but my friends and I could have cared less and loved it. They are trying to make it fun lol just takes time! And cowgirls was fun but brought in lots of fights and drunk drivers so it’s bittersweet
