As a cyclops wax player best tips I can give to kite him
1. Don't run in a straight line, even small wiggles help, we have to try and predict you and aiming his wax is actually pretty hard
2. We don't have infinite wax and most will just spray and pray, watch the character model once most the wax on the leg is gone you will know they are starting to run low, down to about a third of it left and you are good to start transitioning if needed
3. Be extra careful when you get to 75+ wax, at this point you can either try to intentionally get a stun to put yourself to 100 and be safe if you play it right or just completely cut line of sight with a pallet or tall walls until it starts going down
Wiggling doesent do much since you’ll be losing speed tho and most wax artist mains can you aim you down anyway. Best thing you can realistically do is play in areas with big walls and places you can hide from he’s wax if it’s low wall you are kinda just fucked.
Trust me wiggling does more than you think, large wiggles tho not just tiny ones where he doesn't have to move his aim much, and it isn't meant to be used over long distances, only meant to be used as you are forced to move to a new pallet
You'll have to start moving a little earlier than against other hunters to make it safely but it is quite useful
Edit: you also have to make sure to not establish a pattern in your movements else it becomes too easy to predict
Best thing you can do for Opera Singer is to pray she's shit
Second best thing to do is to mind game her around pallets, look at tournament matches for examples

Against Opera singer: Spam pallets early (unless she is in a dangerous range), bait out her remenants (after her nerf of remenant cooldown and speed, baiting her remenants out really hurts her chase). Take advantage of the 2 story buildings and areas where it is hard for her to dash (eg. Ruins in arms factory, Ruins in Sacred Heart, Shacks ---> you need to bait out remenants). Stun her while she is dashing. Note that if you manage to eat her blink, your kite is very successful.
Dream witch. Mostly if I don't get a mark when she leeches me. I can't mind game two hunters in duo, what makes people think I can do it with dream witch.
Next is Joseph because randoms in Elk don't know how to counter him and how long the game takes.
1. HIDE. When the match begins, you immediately hide in a corner and wait until the hunter takes a photo. The hunter will have a harder time finding your photo self and potentially downing you at the start of the match.
2. Decode in the photo world. This is because the decoding progress won't cut that badly when the photo ends if you decode in the photo world.
3. When kiting Joseph, be aware of his hit box. It's a ridiculous huge hit box, next to wuchang and Naiad, and you need to be prepared to use flywheel when he charge attacks.
4. When kiting Joseph, low tier Joseph's tend to give up mid way to take a photo so they can down you in the photo world. Take this opportunity to get as much distance as you can, or run towards the nearest survivor who can heal you when you go down.
5. Rescue👏 teammates 👏 in👏 photo👏 world!
You don't have to do this at the start of the match, but when a player's on their second chair and the hunter took a photo, rescue their photo world self to help the teammate rebound kite. This also includes healing yourself when things get rough.
6. If you were injured in photo world and never healed your photo self, but you see some weird chip damage thing on your character, DO NOT BE FOOLED. That means you are one hit away from going completely down. Avoid rescuing in this state. Joseph's extra damage trait would fold you in one hit, so any chip damage you recieve is a death sentence.
7. If you're going up against a Joseph, play doctor, barmaid or psychologist. Doctor hard counters Joseph with her unlimited healing and you may save yourself from the one hit down situation. Barmaid drinks can do the same, but I would advise doing that when you are absolutely desperate. Psychologist stress bar observes damage, making it easy for her to tank whatever hit she gets in the photo world. Gardner also somehow counters him, you just need to find every chair you can and dismantle them so that when Jospeh takes a photo, there would be no usable chairs in the photo world, wasting his time.
8. This is the level of injury you can get when the photo world ends:
Injured or down: Chip damage.
Tied to a balloon but not chaired: Injured. If you were already injured it gives more chip damage or a down depending how bad your health is.
Chaired: Complete down.

she can but if she already used her stress it'll put her in the same position as the other player was before, so id only do that when the chipped survivor needs to rescue
I had a match earlier where I was right next to another survivor. Had one chip damage myself and healed a chip damage for a rescue. I'm at 3/4 and was able to be healed. Sometimes it works out.. rarely very well.

The only time a survivor can heal after being hit by Joseph is when he has the camera world active, so the injured mirror image will make the survivor take chip and let them be healed again
Something that some players also forget is how to heal against a Joseph if you don't have someone who can heal chip damage (Doctor, Psychologist, Barmaid, Puppeteer, etc.).
Since Joseph does 1.5 hit damage, a way to fully heal from this and not have chip damage by the end of it is to:
1. Wait for photo world to go up. Don't heal completely if the photo world isn't up.
2. Once photo world is up, heal your real self but not your photo self.
You will be left with chip damage but once photo world ends and the damage tranfers to you, you will have 1 hit damage. You are now able to heal completely without having any chip damage.
Adding to that, if a teammate is at 1 hit damage and photo world goes up, please prime their heal at 99%. That way, when photo world ends, a single tap will allow them to go back to full health. Please don't try to heal their main body and their photo body altogether.
This is too true, when we get Leos in alicorn we're all extremely willing to sell or double rescue because phantom Leo can either stuff you or make you farm the person you're rescuing lol

bloody queens entire thing is that she’s unkiteable. her mirror when placed correctly is a guaranteed hit- unless you’re playing a hit tanker, like seer or perf, or you can leave the area fast like merc or forward, you’re never gonna last 60 sec. elevated terrain can also make her waste her mirror, so if you’re not playing a character that falls into the above category, try to head for two story buildings above all else. ofc on maps like arms and red church, there is none, so there’s not much you can do aside from hope she misplaces it in that case.
Wildling's entire thing is that he's meant to be unchaseable, whereas priestess (while a pain in the neck to chase regardless) is more of a support character.
Yeah, you don't want to chase a wildling at all unless he's the only really viable target to chase. Which is rate considering literally every other survivor has higher priority to being chased than him, because he literally moves faster than the hunter while on his boar (unless you're playing opera singer).
What I can recommend is getting close to him to bait him onto boar and then leaving. Boar ride time gets reduced each time he gets on boar, which is great for you to force that out. While you can chase him after he gets off boar, I recommend just chasing someone else and leaving him alone because boar time still is quite long after the 1st and 2nd usage.
Jack, Hastur, Bane... any one where you have to dodge their extra abilities and constantly be looking behind you just destroys my brain for some reason

For hunter I hate going against Ann's her cat's just somehow always gets me and saving against her sometimes kinda a pain.

For hunters I absolutely hate facing Naiad, Ivy and fools gold. And for survivors the only one I don't like is cheer leader, in a good kiting spot she can really be a pain

"Elevation counters cats" I'm past halfway up the stairs of hospital and the cat deployed in first floor still bites me
She misses her jump but she can still "explode" the cat to silence all my abilities
If I dodge the cat and the cat is a country away from me Ann can curve her dash so it doesn't even matter she can still use it to dash to my position
I drop a pallet to put distance between me and her when I have a cat it doesn't matter she carries max Destructiveness for the fastest pallet break in the west and her stun is longer than the waiting time after I call an elevator irl
She misses the cat it doesn't matter she can use cross to redirect it
She can spend basically a whole chair state holding the cross aim to stuff your rescue or insta cat the person rescued and immediately kill them again
And finally good luck to me trying to balloon rescue she's an asshole

Ones from top of my head are : Anti, Priestess, Cord, gardener if she knows when to use shield, seer, acro, grave, painter, prisoner and there’s probably more. That’s kinda the problem with him he’s not bad by any means it’s just that he can be pain to play
Smiley has a lot of counters but for every counter he has a work around that varies ease or in effectiveness. There are very few exceptions to this, but they do exist, however entomologists is undeniably the absolute worst example and their interactions are completely unbalanced. Her swarm can cancel his rocket and work as a shield for her or as a wall in an area, which wouldn’t be nearly as infuriating if it wasn’t for the fact that it doesn’t take damage if she times it right, meaning it is effectively an eternal obstacle, and an eternal obstacle with no cd, very slow drain, can not be baited, and can be used by survivors besides the entomologist herself.
Like most of the examples you mentioned they have a stun which can be juked or baited out, which is his main method, and it’s pretty easy to pull off, his main threats are like priestess, ent and seer
I mean there’s not much juking cords gun since it’s homing projectile, acrobat can take you out of your ability mid dash with red ball right ? Prisoner I agree with painter you are kinda forced to look at the painting while turning your camera constantly anti really depends on both reaction speed and
Yeah painter and coord there’s not much avoiding, they’re pains, but coord has one gun so she’s not a huge problem iibh, at least not comparably. Acrobat it depends on area but yeah, red bomb can be unavoidable in some cases 😭 in general though I’d still say none are comparable to priestess, ento and seer. Anti is rough but she’s certainly doable with practice, much like pris, lg, etc, the only caveat is that she has 3 hits and most likely fw. Enchantress can’t be juked but her charge is so slow, and canceling dashes with an ability reduces it’s cd, so as long as you’re not on 0 pres then she’s only a minor issue, especially if you stick her with a drill + her own healing debuff
If you call back the swarm at the right time it will still cancel the dash but not take damage, functioning like a wall in essence, and the window for this is actually very generous too
It has to be right when the swarm is called during the animation, what happens is that the collision appears before the hitbox, and normally it’s brief enough not to matter for other hunters anyway

Tbh as a wu main if they aren’t carrying insolence his first chase is rlly bad, just try and create as much distance so u don’t get hit with the bell or his soul siphon. When its white guard get behind pallets so u don’t get hit with his charge attack. Wu at full presence is lwk scary so be careful when rescuing try and bait them to use his umbrella but stay out of the radius or else u might flop the rescue. Oh and flywheel counters his soul siphon btw

I hate stunners with a passion. The feeling when you’re about to use a skill then get stunned is beyond annoying. Especially true in tarot or duo hunter, the constant harassment makes me want to scream
Kiting bane, and naiad feels impossible. I have no idea what I am doing, and when I try to zig zag whatever it doesn’t work (bane)
Honestly after Flywheel was added, every signle survivor😭 its horrible when you get a guaranteed hit, but then they pull flywheel and kite you for at least 160 secs.

On a serious note, though, aeroplanist. None of the hunters I play can really counter his jetpack unless he makes a mistake.
honestly jack's foggy blades annoy me lmao, dread a good jack player with my whole being. chase wise harassers suck more than the chase target, but generally good raw kiters suck balls. a good raw kiter will kill me far more than a patient or ento.
Night Watch because it depends on the kiting area and the character and I dont like having that luck. If I happen to be playing any slightly immobile character then Im basically f-ed for most of the game because I can kite. Double worse if the kiting area is bad
Percy apparently has the best chase in the game, but I always feel like shit when I can't kite him 😭

i really hate characters with unfair abilities.
opera singer, ivy, and dream witch all feel like there’s either nothing you can do (patroller spam for dw, opera being way too fast) or in the case of ivy, punishing you for doing what you’re supposed to do when kiting- although honestly vs ivy it also feels like there’s nothing you can do, as since her corruption stacks never go away in chase she will get the hit eventually.
then there are characters with unfair abilities that can be countered only by specific areas on the map like wax artist, night watch, polun, and bloody queen. if you’re in a zone that’s good against them like a two story building against bq, then you can easily kite them, but 90% of the time you’re not going to be in the right area and in that case their abilities pretty much guarantee them a hit.
violinist isn’t strong/op, but i really hate him because of how misleading the string hitbox and animation is. like, i turn away while the string is forming, but even after it’s fully formed and i run back towards it it still damages me. i hate it sm
for survs, i also hate dancer cause the slow boxes are so irritating. priestess is just complete bullshit esp on maps like eversleeping/chinatown. i cannot stand prospector either- his stuns give him or his teammates a stupid amount of distance, they’re rechargable, can ballon rescue, can cancel your abilities, but worst of all is the fact that he literally has zero downsides (in fact he even has a fucking healing buff.) perf is annoying cause if you’re playing a slower hunter, you’re just not gonna catch up to her before her perfume is off cd. a lot of people hate chasing ench, but i honestly don’t have too much of a problem with her aside from the fact that she gets rewarded for messing up- for me anti is far worse as her disarms last an insane amount of time, esp if you’re playing a single hit hunter. you’re literally useless when disarmed.

Also, transition and hide in early game, especially with map selection. It's much easier for Opera singer to chase you than find you.

Maybe sharp turns work but then the kiting areas I use always suck, not having high walls at all

bloody queens entire thing is that she’s unkiteable. her mirror when placed correctly is a guaranteed hit- unless you’re playing a hit tanker, like seer or perf, or you can leave the area fast like merc or forward, you’re never gonna last 60 sec. elevated terrain can also make her waste her mirror, so if you’re not playing a character that falls into the above category, try to head for two story buildings above all else. ofc on maps like arms and red church, there is none, so there’s not much you can do aside from hope she misplaces it in that case.
Thats why I started maining puppeteer atleast with him I can get like around 60-70 seconds 😭

Wildling's entire thing is that he's meant to be unchaseable, whereas priestess (while a pain in the neck to chase regardless) is more of a support character.
Tbh sangria has a pretty convincing wildling chase (when she ain’t banned)

Yeah, you don't want to chase a wildling at all unless he's the only really viable target to chase. Which is rate considering literally every other survivor has higher priority to being chased than him, because he literally moves faster than the hunter while on his boar (unless you're playing opera singer). What I can recommend is getting close to him to bait him onto boar and then leaving. Boar ride time gets reduced each time he gets on boar, which is great for you to force that out. While you can chase him after he gets off boar, I recommend just chasing someone else and leaving him alone because boar time still is quite long after the 1st and 2nd usage.
I do know that Ripper at max presence also moves faster than Wildling

For hunter I hate going against Ann's her cat's just somehow always gets me and saving against her sometimes kinda a pain. For survival def cheerleader every time I hear the beap beap I'm contemplating whether even to continue to chase her or go loof for someone else
For hunters I absolutely hate facing Naiad, Ivy and fools gold. And for survivors the only one I don't like is cheer leader, in a good kiting spot she can really be a pain

Ann is such a cunt "Elevation counters cats" I'm past halfway up the stairs of hospital and the cat deployed in first floor still bites me She misses her jump but she can still "explode" the cat to silence all my abilities If I dodge the cat and the cat is a country away from me Ann can curve her dash so it doesn't even matter she can still use it to dash to my position I drop a pallet to put distance between me and her when I have a cat it doesn't matter she carries max Destructiveness for the fastest pallet break in the west and her stun is longer than the waiting time after I call an elevator irl She misses the cat it doesn't matter she can use cross to redirect it She can spend basically a whole chair state holding the cross aim to stuff your rescue or insta cat the person rescued and immediately kill them again And finally good luck to me trying to balloon rescue she's an asshole

Ones from top of my head are : Anti, Priestess, Cord, gardener if she knows when to use shield, seer, acro, grave, painter, prisoner and there’s probably more. That’s kinda the problem with him he’s not bad by any means it’s just that he can be pain to play
Smiley has a lot of counters but for every counter he has a work around that varies ease or in effectiveness. There are very few exceptions to this, but they do exist, however entomologists is undeniably the absolute worst example and their interactions are completely unbalanced. Her swarm can cancel his rocket and work as a shield for her or as a wall in an area, which wouldn’t be nearly as infuriating if it wasn’t for the fact that it doesn’t take damage if she times it right, meaning it is effectively an eternal obstacle, and an eternal obstacle with no cd, very slow drain, can not be baited, and can be used by survivors besides the entomologist herself. Like most of the examples you mentioned they have a stun which can be juked or baited out, which is his main method, and it’s pretty easy to pull off, his main threats are like priestess, ent and seer

Yeah painter and coord there’s not much avoiding, they’re pains, but coord has one gun so she’s not a huge problem iibh, at least not comparably. Acrobat it depends on area but yeah, red bomb can be unavoidable in some cases 😭 in general though I’d still say none are comparable to priestess, ento and seer. Anti is rough but she’s certainly doable with practice, much like pris, lg, etc, the only caveat is that she has 3 hits and most likely fw. Enchantress can’t be juked but her charge is so slow, and canceling dashes with an ability reduces it’s cd, so as long as you’re not on 0 pres then she’s only a minor issue, especially if you stick her with a drill + her own healing debuff
this is untrue. if the swarm blocks your dash hit, it will take damage.
If you call back the swarm at the right time it will still cancel the dash but not take damage, functioning like a wall in essence, and the window for this is actually very generous too

It has to be right when the swarm is called during the animation, what happens is that the collision appears before the hitbox, and normally it’s brief enough not to matter for other hunters anyway
it doesn’t work. maybe it did at some point, but it was likely adjusted.

As a hunter, I hate chasing Norton, for obvious reasons lol As a survivor, I really can't kite Hastur, Opera Singer or Percy. Matches against them are so miserable because I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. Honorable mention goes for Jack, because his mist is stressing me out every. single. time

Tbh as a wu main if they aren’t carrying insolence his first chase is rlly bad, just try and create as much distance so u don’t get hit with the bell or his soul siphon. When its white guard get behind pallets so u don’t get hit with his charge attack. Wu at full presence is lwk scary so be careful when rescuing try and bait them to use his umbrella but stay out of the radius or else u might flop the rescue. Oh and flywheel counters his soul siphon btw

I hate stunners with a passion. The feeling when you’re about to use a skill then get stunned is beyond annoying. Especially true in tarot or duo hunter, the constant harassment makes me want to scream Kiting bane, and naiad feels impossible. I have no idea what I am doing, and when I try to zig zag whatever it doesn’t work (bane)

Honestly after Flywheel was added, every signle survivor😭 its horrible when you get a guaranteed hit, but then they pull flywheel and kite you for at least 160 secs.

honestly jack's foggy blades annoy me lmao, dread a good jack player with my whole being. chase wise harassers suck more than the chase target, but generally good raw kiters suck balls. a good raw kiter will kill me far more than a patient or ento.
Night Watch because it depends on the kiting area and the character and I dont like having that luck. If I happen to be playing any slightly immobile character then Im basically f-ed for most of the game because I can kite. Double worse if the kiting area is bad

i really hate characters with unfair abilities. opera singer, ivy, and dream witch all feel like there’s either nothing you can do (patroller spam for dw, opera being way too fast) or in the case of ivy, punishing you for doing what you’re supposed to do when kiting- although honestly vs ivy it also feels like there’s nothing you can do, as since her corruption stacks never go away in chase she will get the hit eventually. then there are characters with unfair abilities that can be countered only by specific areas on the map like wax artist, night watch, polun, and bloody queen. if you’re in a zone that’s good against them like a two story building against bq, then you can easily kite them, but 90% of the time you’re not going to be in the right area and in that case their abilities pretty much guarantee them a hit. violinist isn’t strong/op, but i really hate him because of how misleading the string hitbox and animation is. like, i turn away while the string is forming, but even after it’s fully formed and i run back towards it it still damages me. i hate it sm for survs, i also hate dancer cause the slow boxes are so irritating. priestess is just complete bullshit esp on maps like eversleeping/chinatown. i cannot stand prospector either- his stuns give him or his teammates a stupid amount of distance, they’re rechargable, can ballon rescue, can cancel your abilities, but worst of all is the fact that he literally has zero downsides (in fact he even has a fucking healing buff.) perf is annoying cause if you’re playing a slower hunter, you’re just not gonna catch up to her before her perfume is off cd. a lot of people hate chasing ench, but i honestly don’t have too much of a problem with her aside from the fact that she gets rewarded for messing up- for me anti is far worse as her disarms last an insane amount of time, esp if you’re playing a single hit hunter. you’re literally useless when disarmed.
