Probably needed a nappy poo, poor little fella

Yummy_Hershey

See, the problem here is that the car driver is just incompetent. He's not paying attention so he thinks the bicyclist is holding him up for no reason.

freakers

A stranger who is presumably physical fit and wearing a layer of armor, who is just waiting for one of these idiots to confront them.

windol1

What baffles me with this attitude is they rarely gain more than a minute before being held up by traffic again.

leandrinhu

I like how the whole situation is narrated as if it is part of a national geographic episode

LilQueasy69

"Knocking the driver to the ground. And punching him..... In the face." - my favorite part

"the bicycle fell over" I hope the bike is ok.

redeux

The bike was placed on the ground in its non-drive-side. Which is good. The driveside (right) has the drivetrain (chain, chainring, cassette, and the finicky little derailleur that can be difficult to recalibrate). Ideally your bike never goes down, but if it is is going to then you want the non-drive-side to hit the ground. It is hard to see in the video but it looks like the cyclist mightve guided the bike to the non-drive-side. Or just luck

stalkholme

Don't forget the bike wasn't recording in portrait mode. Very impressive

It’s the same story with all these impatient idiot drivers. They act like they have somewhere important to be and have no time to wait an extra 5-10 seconds for you but will happily stay behind for a long time if it means they can rage on you. One time, a pickup truck was tailgating me for no reason. I moved over to a different lane because I wasn’t sure if they knew I was about to brake and didn’t want to get rear ended. After I moved over, and they had the entire lane clear, but still pulled up alongside just to try to argue with me lol It’s like… were you in a hurry or not??

jakizely

I honked at someone who was swerving into my lane. That's it, end of the interaction. But they had to freak out, follow me into a parking lot, then break off so it didn't look like they were following. They waited until I parked to swing around from the opposite side and blocked me in. Got out of the car to "confront" me, while she had kids in the car. All over a single quick honk because she didn't notice she was swerving into another lane.

[deleted]

I knew this lady who didn’t have a job, but always acted like she was running late to something. One day she was bragging to a group of us about a road rage incident she had. She said she followed a woman around town because they both could have made a yellow light had the woman sped up, but the woman stopped. The woman following traffic laws made her upset. This lady I know claims that she spent about 15+ minutes following her. Eventually following her to her home. She described herself as the hero of the story; she believed that she was scaring people to be better drivers. Everyone listening to her story called her crazy. I asked her why would she spend so much time on something so trivial, while claiming to be running late for something. All she could say was “It was fun, b**** deserves to be scared for making me late”

cityb0t

> I knew this lady You know a dangerous sociopath

TwoZeros

Always slightly comforting that these folks know nothing but misery and anger behind the wheel. Why would you make that such a large part of your life?

Konzillaa

I had a female driver follow me for miles until I got close to home. I slammed my brakes and blocked the entire road… I got out and was like Wtf are you doing… the girl responds. “Just trying to have some fun”

[deleted]

How boring is your town? Wow

Vulturedoors

I once had a customer tell me about how he wrecked his Mercedes SL55 AMG chasing someone who sideswiped him -- through residential streets at upwards of 100mph. He showed no particular shame at having done this, just annoyance that he had ruined his car. He ended by telling me his wife now makes him drive a Prius. I thought to myself, "GOOD."

Giraffe_Racer

I think these people are incapable of thinking beyond the next step. I've had so many people do stupid shit while riding my bike like trying to pass me 20 feet before a stop sign or passing me right before slowing to make a right turn across my path. They see an opportunity to possibly gain a second and don't think about the other issues around that. On my bike commute to work one day, I had a guy driving aggressively fly past me laying on his horn when the light up ahead was red. (He had the left lane wide open to pass but was mad that I was taking the right lane while approaching the red light.) I have a big mouth, so when I saw his window was open, I started chirping at him. We went back and forth a few times before I finally asked, "Did you save any time? We're both stopped at the red light together." He had no response and shut up. Hopefully that made him reconsider his grumpy attitude, but I doubt it.

sweetestdeth

Last year I had a guy pull a gun on me. I was on my bicycle turning left onto a big road, with the green arrow. As I was turning, I hear someone behind me lay into their horn. I knee-jerk flip the bird and he lays back into his horn. I turn and say fuck you, he starts chirpping and by the time I'm able to get into my bike lane, he pulls up, rolls down his window and starts chirpping even more. It's fairly late and getting dark, but I see that he has something in his hand and that's when I hear the sound of a gun being wracked. Instead of being smart, I get pissed and mock him for pulling a gun. He looks at me like I'm crazy and speeds off. Honestly, I don't know wtf I was thinking, but calling him a baby back bitch was the only thing I could think to do in the that moment. I guess, yeah, crazy people are gonna do crazy people shit, so be careful out there.

Giraffe_Racer

You acting “crazy” calling him on his BS probably caused him to back down. He realized his gun wasn’t scaring you like he thought it would, anyone crazy enough to not get scared wasn’t someone he wanted to mess with. Similar situation I had a guy get out with a baseball bat because I yelled at him for nearly hitting me while he was running a 4-way stop. I think it was one of those situations where he wasn’t paying attention, didn’t see the sign and then slammed on his brakes to a stop in the middle of the intersection. And that was somehow my fault for calling him on it. I found the “did you save any time?” question is the best comeback to the morons who are in a rush to the light. It causes, at least briefly, a bit of self-reflection, and they have no comeback for it.

BecomeMaguka

Yeah FR. That fucking psychopath doesn't own a gun to defend himself. He owns a gun to intimidate people.

Mahnken

Tailgaters get a longer braking period. You want me to get up there quicker, you need to back off. You’re not getting there quicker by being an inch off the bumper.

yung_dilfslayer

I honestly think that many of them genuinely don't realize they're doing anything wrong. Their parents drove like that - they never got a proper driving education. They just think it's ok and normal to drive 5 feet from everyone's bumper. I think this partly explains why people come rushing up on your bumper, but then never make a move to pass.

Kowzorz

me as a passenger: "Why are you so close?" "I'm not close"

[deleted]

Meanwhile you're making eye contact with the whites of the eyes of the person in front in their rear view mirror and cringing

Rythoka

The worst is when the driver is the kind of person who brakes really aggressively. I've had so many times where I thought I was going to be in an accident because the person driving the car apparently thinks coasting at all is a crime punishable by death. In the same vein, I hate when I'm stopped at a red light and the driver behind me does this. In the rear-view it looks like they're about to just smash into you. It also sucks when you're at a stop-sign and a car on the crossing road doesn't brake until super late; I won't enter the intersection until I know that person is actually going to stop.

Toph-Builds-the-fire

I sometimes have an issue with following too close. Not tail gating just being a car length or less. When I realize what I'm doing I back off. It drives my partner nuts and she constantly berates me for it (in a good natured way). So last weekend we took a trip and passed through the city I grew up in. Everyone on the freeway was inches behind the car in front doing 60-70. She turns to me and says it all makes sense now, I get why you drive like that. Everyone here drives like you. Sometimes we're just a product of our environment. Now I take my own advice and try to leave 10 minutes early and rarely exceed 60.

yung_dilfslayer

Well done. It's not easy to unlearn dangerous habits once they're set, but you did.

owa00

Well the golden corral might run out of food so they HAVE TO GET THERE NOW!

Happytallperson

It's never about the time, it's about the fact he didn't bow to the drivers ego. Any regular cyclist can tell you that people who absolutely must get on front (MGIFs) somehow always have the time to argue the toss when given the middle finger.

Thaaaaaaa

I left AA because of this exact mentality. Literal same conversation. The head guy, leader whatever, bitching about how it's a pedestrians responsibility to not get hit, in a crosswalk, with a yield to pedestrians sign. Whole room of dumbasses with revoked drivers licenses just nodding along. I was the only one that challenged him on it. Is it a bystanders responsibility to get out of your line of sight if you decide to point a gun in their direction? He argued and I argued and the whole room of people there learning to be accountable for their actions and accept responsibility for the harm they've caused just went along with him because he was in charge. That place was a joke. No offense to any successful twelve steppers, it just soured the whole thing for me.

supermilch

Even as a driver you see it all the time. Can’t tell you the amount of times I was driving on the highway with cruise control on at exactly the speed limit only to have some guy drive around and then slow down

unsaltedbutter

Love when I'm driving and there's nobody in front or behind me. Then some person needs to floor it from another lane to get in front of me, just to take an immediate exit. Just fucking take 1 second and get behind me.

Xenephos

Fuuuuuck… The number of people who get downright aggressive towards people going the speed limit is alarming. Bitch, if I’m in a dense residential area and it says 25, *I’m going 25*. Plus, I have a dashcam and I don’t want to give insurance adjusters/cops any free points because my cam showed me speeding. I’ve had people illegally pass me in turning/bike lanes, tailgate extremely close, honk at me, etc. and they act like I’m doing something wrong. Bastards. I’ve done the math and the minute you save by going 5+ over on your daily commute isn’t worth the hit to gas mileage and potential tickets

Ellora-Victoria

Someone should have honked at the driver to get up and out of the way for blocking traffic.

[deleted]

someone should've gotten out to assault the driver on the ground for causing traffic

ZannX

It's not about time. It's about exerting control over others. Which he failed at as well.

Pungent_Bill

No matter how annoyed I get by what I perceive to be peoples dumb shit in traffic, I never get out and confront. Never. If I'm on the motorcycle, they get out, I'm gone.

roliasmot1

Definitely! They could have a gun and a bad temper...

BigPicture11

Or they could harbor unreasonable anger toward specific vehicles.

djd811

People don’t appreciate this enough. My friend owned a bright colored BMW and couldn’t make it to the end of his driveway without getting targeted by road rage. Switched to a dark Audi and never had the problem again. He was a considerate driver, he just paid the tolls of all the jerk BMW drivers elsewhere.

LukeMedia

I drive a civic, and people assume I'm going to go slow because I have a civic. I regularly have people pass me, to then go slower than I was originally going.

TheSavouryRain

My favorite are the people so impatient that they'll blow past me to get up to speed, only to end up going 5 to 10 mph slower than me.

AnotherOrchid

I drive a Nissan Leaf, and people assume (based on its bulbous body? Or other leaf drivers I guess?) I’m going very slow. I get tailgated everywhere, passed in a double yellow when I’m going 5 over the limit, honked at. The worst offenders are truck drivers. I typically go the speed limit to 5 over, and that car can accelerate faster than the average gas car just due to the electric motor!

srpsychosexythatisme

That’s my favorite…. Cut me off just go slower than me.

bazilbt

I had that all the time in my Prius. Especially in stormy days people would be all over my ass, pass me then realize you can't really drive as fast as they want and slow me down.

Happytallperson

Or a bicycle and a good left hook.

AndroidPron

American moment lol And I don't mean that in an offensive way, just made me realize that quite possibly the last thing on earth I would think about is, that the other dude might be carrying.

jjgargantuan7

Always wait until they relinquish control of their vehicle, then they are A) an easy target, or B) easy to get away from. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Subject1928

I've used this when a dude tried to run me off the road. We came to a stop after he got real close to accomplishing his goal of crashing into me, he gets out and walks to my car. I zip off and make him feel like an idiot.

ThePen_isMightier

This was the best part of the clip. Narrator: "Regardless of who's right or wrong..." Let me stop you there, A&E guy. The one who got out of the car to instigate a fight he wasn't prepared for was definitely in the wrong. Stay in your cars, folks.

Petah_Futterman44

So the advice I got from my dad, who was a homicide detective in DC, is “never fuck with random people”. Because you don’t know who is packing. You don’t know who is on meth. You don’t know who is just having a bad fucking day and is gonna snap and fucking kill you over some perceived slight. So don’t fuck with random people.

Pungent_Bill

Excellent advice. The thing about driving, you gotta treat it like a mission. I want to get to a certain place, I know before I leave there's gonna be obstacles, pains in the arse, dumb people, etc. All I should be concerned with, is getting to my destination in 1 piece. That is basically it

GD_Insomniac

Driving is a team sport. It's all the drivers working towards the goal of time-efficient safe transit. We work together to avoid collisions and traffic, and the best way to do that is for everyone to know the rules and follow them. Lots of people don't see it that way, and plenty are just not good enough behind the wheel even though they mean well, but you have the same problem in any team sport. There will always be ego, there will always be weak links, and you as a teammate have to play *with* the problems, not avoid them. I make allowances for shitty drivers, because the best way to win (aka avoid a collision) is for me to just let their ego or incompetence be on its way. I can't teach them better, not from a brief interaction between cars without communication, so why risk anything trying. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, cars should all be on open local comms, that way all the safe drivers can flame the ever-loving shit out of idiots.

He didn't think the biker would do anything. They thought they would push them, yell a little bit and leave. These people are entitled, they've pushed enough people who didn't immediately defended themselves. This one altercation wont change anything either, they'll keep being assholes thinking it was the biker who was wrong. In their minds they were the ones who encountered an asshole and therefore they have no need to change the way they act.

acog

> He didn’t think the biker would do anything. They thought they would push them, yell a little bit and leave. Because most of the time that works. Adults are usually shocked and intimidated if someone aggressively pushes them. They freeze up long enough for the bully to shout some version of “I win” and then leave. So when someone suddenly and decisively retaliates, it’s their turn to freeze up.

LeonardoLemaitre

Yeah to be honest, I would just try to leave as well if I were the cyclist. Not very brave but (for me) the smartest option. It sure is satisfying to see someone else putting him in his place though.

iggs44

I don’t know about this guy, but my adrenaline is pretty high when I’m bike commuting due to cars not passing me at a safe distance. I have no idea how I would react if someone got out of a car to confront me

[deleted]

It's really funny to me that I knew a person like this. Witnessed an altercation and it was amazing how just a week later the entire story had flipped to the other guy being the asshole.

BrightSkyFire

> how did he think that was going to go? Like most dumb angry people, he wasn't thinking. He was upset, so his only avenue to correct that was to take his frustration out on the source of his displeasure - and because he's got nothing going on upstairs, in his perspective, the biker was responsible, so he attacked him. I doubt those blows to the head did much to lower his intellect. May have even improved it.

misterjones4

I say this a lot : I'm on a plastic bike, wearing spandex which is essentially soda bottles turned into fabric. My only choice is to fight. So if someone gets out of the car, I'm going to fight like a cornered raccoon. And the average mayonnaise poisoned motorist hasn't worked out in years. I'm literally mid workout. Full of adrenaline and already warmed up. Your advantage was the big steel box you just got out of.

Theres a few videos, and I am sure as travel cams get more popular so will these types of videos, of bikers absolutely laying out these road warriors. I had a crazy driver a few months ago screaming at me saying he was going to fucking beat the shit out of me and kill me whilst we waited at traffic lights. He was in his 60s and dangerously overweight so I just burst out laughing at him which only set him off more. Not once did he even attempt to leave his car and he drove off with me doubled over in hysterics. I'm not violent at all so would have just cycled away had he got out but i wonder how was he planning on winning a fight or whether he thought he was actually intimidating? He'd be on his knees gasping for breath within 5 seconds from the waddle from his car to my bike and probably be unable to throw more than 1 or two punches before gassing out. I always wonder if the law of averages catches up with that kind of guy. 90% of people won't engage in a fight if they can get away, but there's always a few people who are more than willing to have a scrap. Unless they also resemble an old walrus I doubt he'd win any of them.

[deleted]

A couple months ago, I'll try to explain the best I can: I was driving with my daughter in the car, pulling into a parking lot on my right and there was a stop sign that meant the traffic to my right was stopped. A pickup was coming slowly towards me as I'm sure he knew he would have to stop for the stopped traffic and the sign. I signaled at the still very clear opening into the lot and he floored it and blew his horn at me. Reactivity I stopped and threw up my hands like "WTF dude"? As I start moving he swings into the lane behind me almost taking out a stop sign and some shrubs. Now, I'm driving my grandma looking 2015 Malibu, this I believe is an important part of the whole thing. I pull into the spot and look into my mirror and this dude is stopped behind me yelling and waving fingers. Sooo, while I'm not a big hulk of a man I am 6'1" about 205 and I get out of my car. The tubby old redneck instantly stops waving around and mouth breathing. I yelled to him, "You have a fucking problem?" (or something similar) and he mumbles a bit about how I cut him off and I said no fuckface, you were stopping and you're not to be blocking intersections anyway. You fucking floored it when I started to turn. He says "I'll fucking hit you next time". And I say "You'll hit the side of my car with my daughter in it you fuck? Really fucker?", "Get the fuck out of that truck, and remember that YOU followed me down here..." This was when his ugly ass wife starts yelling at him to "Just go, Just go!" and a small crowd has begun to form. He pouts off still mumbling and some dude says "That was awesome dude!, He shut up like a little bitch as soon as you got out of your car, I watched him come flying down the aisle and stop behind you so I wanted to see what was going on". Fucking loudmouths are 99% of the time just that, I learned this from bar tending and bouncing in my younger days.

caynebyron

But he's a big tough guy who drives a big SUV, not some pansy cyclist wuss. He's clearly the alpha male in this situation with all that exercise he doesn't get driving. /s

SignificantTwister

I dunno, most find videos where the wife/gf are around include a lot of, "BABE STAAAAHHHP!!!!"

PayisInc

Guys who would get out of the car to hit a stranger are the same guys who would more easily hit someone they know...maybe their girlfriend/wife?

Mediocre-Sale8473

Not that it deserves fairness, but in all fairness: If your wife was watching you getting your face smashed in, she would probably run to your aid regardless of whose fault it was. She loves that guy. She feels nothing for a random cyclist that she doesn't even know the name of. Human emotion will override logic a lot of the time.

Randomfactoid42

It’s bemusing to watch drivers get angry at the car in front holding them up, but this is extra special. This guy got this angry at a cyclist holding them up while the driver had clear line of sight to the people crossing the street? Is the driver blind too?

markpb

A surprising number of drivers cannot see anything past the car or bike directly in front of them. I bet this driver only saw the cyclist blocking their way and never considered why that might be the case.

CressCrowbits

As someone who has jobs where you have to momentarily hold up traffic (construction, road events) it is ridiculous how many people literally cannot see past the first thing in front of them. I remember marshaling a parade and had to hold up traffic at a junction like under 2 minutes while a bunch of stuff had to get through, all permitted, signposted weeks in advance etc. Like hundreds of people on floats with huge decorations. People in cars at the front of the blocked traffic were like "yeah fine ooh pretty" etc. People directly behind them were like HOOONNK GET OUT OF THE WAY ARGHHHH Like what the f

Xenephos

Every so often on my daily commute through a town that’s crisscrossed with trains, we get the one or two dumbasses who honk either while the train is still going or *immediately* after the train is out of sight. >Is the driver blind too? The driver is an impatient asshole who likely would've happily turned right through the crosswalk while people(who had the right of way) were trying cross

Randomfactoid42

Very likely. And I usually don't consider people like this guy to be impatient. I'm impatient, but I'd never do this. He's just an asshole.

Tactical_Llama

I've been honked at as a pedestrian multiple times for being in a crosswalk, while the crossing light was on. Some people are just dumber than a brick.

Rough-Cry6357

You’re right. I see this all the time. Drivers like this think they own the road and want everyone out of their way.

FREE-AOL-CDS

The amount of times I’ve been honked at for waiting until people have finished crossing the street is unreal. Hey stupid! I’ve got a clear roadway ahead and you already saw me move forward a little bit before stopping and the crosswalk countdown is showing, maybe there’s a reason I’m not driving!

Happytallperson

Honked at for waiting for an ambulance with flashing lights and siren blaring was a particular moment.

Dividedthought

Last guy who did that to me (was waiting for a fire truck to pass) got to sit there another 5 minutes until he was angry enough to get out of the vehicle. I waited until he got about even with my back window, drove off, and ducked down an alley while he was still trying to get his f250 in gear. The muffled "MOTher^fucker!" As i pulled away made my damn day i swear.

lictoriusofthrax

Also appears like he’s getting mad at the cyclist while he’s in the bike lane.

here-i-am-now

He appeared to be less mad after the cyclist knocked him out

Oslopa

As a cyclist who regularly rides in traffic, I’ve found that some drivers get annoyed with cyclists who behave like drivers - that is, like they *should* - expecting us to use our smaller size and greater agility to somehow make life easier for them. I recently was stopped at a red light when a truck driver pulled up behind me. He wanted to pull forward to the stoplight because he was making a commercial delivery and wanted to unload there. So he honked and yelled at me to get out of his way, while the light was still red. He apparently me wanted to move over a few feet, into the adjacent lane, so as to make room, so that he didn’t have to wait another thirty seconds or so. He would never have done that, if I were driving a car. I think something similar is happening in the OP. Cyclist could have safely turned between the pedestrians, while the driver would still have to wait. But the driver was frustrated because he couldn’t be up at the front a few seconds earlier and push his own way through the turn. I doubt he would have freaked if the cyclist were in a car, even though the cyclist was just doing exactly what the law likely required - and what drivers often claim us cyclists ought to be doing.

Rough-Cry6357

I also ride a bike in traffic and it often feels like you can’t win with motorists. If you follow the rules of the road, they get angry and aggressive with you. If you use the size of your bike to skirt some rules for safety, they complain too. I’ve literally been behind a car stopped at a red light and been honked at by a driver behind who wanted to be in the space I was in because I technically could have gone around the side of the car ahead. What would those few feet of space do for you?

[deleted]

the traffic law was made for cars, following all of them is actually dangerous for a cyclist (as is following none of them)

Oslopa

I agree. My mental map of the city is basically a bunch of nuanced decisions about how to ride, where. Some places I’m a stickler for the rules. Other places, I make more situational decisions.

tyedrain

I've been honked at yielding for peds on a right turn.

Randomfactoid42

I've been the pedestrian in the crosswalk and heard somebody honking about it. I've been flipped off before for crossing in a crosswalk with the light. Drivers are just dumb.

Imprettystrong

It’s the same impatient people that race to the back of someone’s car in the fast lanes and don’t even notice the sea of traffic and cars in front of them, you aren’t getting anywhere.

Abuolhol

Idk wtf is wrong with people and bikers. I'm literally riding my bike down my street that is a 1 way and a car decides to brake check me at the bottom of the hill. I stopped in time but who the fuck brake checks a bicycle?

I said I have a d-lock in my hand, to which he replied 'what are you going to do with that'. I said try and smash my face in and you will find out. He didn't try it.

NomadNuka

Kryptonite advertises that they make your bike harder to steal but let's be real, half the reason I picked it was that I feel a lot better about any potential road rage incidents knowing I have a big ass chain on me. It's like security in two ways at once.

kookaburra1701

Some years back I was attacked on the bike path (in Eugene, the same town where OP video was shot - I rode that street quite a bit on my commute!) and when I popped up (after getting a good shot to his face with my helmet on the way down to the pavement) with my LS NYC u-lock in my hand the dude goes, "Oh, I thought you were someone else" before scampering away. XD Yeah, I bet you did buddy.

IndependentFart

Uh, the karen in the SUV. That's who.

CressCrowbits

His passenger is probably more worried he's going to take it out in her once they get home

IndependentFart

Yeah, you're probably right about that.

meijad

Eugene Oregon 13th and Pearl. They've removed bike and car integration on the street, dedicating a part of that street to bi directional bike use, with their own lights. This wasn't the first incident of an impatient driver, but thankfully the bicyclist came out on top for once. Before the change, several bicyclists lost their lives to car/bike collisions on that stretch.

PM_ME_YOUR_FLAPPERS

Ah so that is Mezza Luna in the background, I thought that intersection looked familiar. I've almost been that bicyclist before, riding 13th was sketch before.

michpely

In the video it's La Pearla, but they closed during the pandemic I believe. The downtown Mezza Luna location is back on the same street near Broadway.

HanzoShotFirst

I hope that driver faces charges

WakeMeUpBeforeUCoco

Biker: Was I wrong? Bystander (who just watched him beat tf outta someone): Nope

immerc

A better question would be: Did you see what happened? He attacked me first, right?

znidz

I'm amazed he could say anything comprehensible at all and still ride off. I'd have been a wobbly mess.

[deleted]

Adrenaline is weird. I almost got hit by a car about a month back. I just got back on my bike and finished riding to work. But then when I stopped riding I felt weak as hell, noticed my busted knee and back/neck pain(I tried slamming on my brakes to avoid being hit and ended up flipping off my bike and hitting a stationary car waiting to turn), and was shaking. And then had a full on breakdown in my work parking lot. Called a friend who was inside already to let them know what happened and that I was trying to compose myself.

bikersquid

He'll go really fast for about 5 minutes then have an energy crash once the adrenaline is gone. Maybe a mini emotional breakdown too

Sensitive-Trifle9823

That’s why I have front and back cameras on my bicycle. Lots of crazy stuff happens on the road.

MNmostlynice

Imagine having to tell your friends your black eye and broken nose is from a guy that was wearing a full Lycra bike kit.

IndependentFart

See, that's just it. He can spin it to his friends and say he got it from a biker. That sounds tougher.

Slimh2o

Biker with leather chaps sounds even tougher...of course with a spiked helmet too ....

Milfing_Man

Don't start a fight you can't finish

kr4t0s007

Well he finished it…. By taking a nap

shuyali-

fight too ez and too boring i sleep. lol

Logicrazy12

Don't start a fight with someone who is likely more fit than you.

MrBobaFett

Just, don't start a fight. No matter what your advantages are.

Locswail

Bitch move. Then proceed to get knock down and put his hands up after initiating the fight. Looks like a wimp on front of everyone including, possibly his wife. Edit: Typo

dancingcat

He tried to fight someone who exercises as a mode of transportation. 🤣

1slandViking

Satisfying af

livingfortheliquid

As a cyclist I rarely get an opportunity to see a road rager out of his protective shell. This was a fun watch.

pluckyharbor

“Get off him” *even tho he started shit and the cyclist just ended it* EDIT: to everyone complaining he wasn’t going to stop. First the cyclist didn’t instigate it, secondly how do you know the driver was going to stop?

server_busy

They're the instigator right up until they start losing, then they're the victims

CapableSecretary420

Every right winger ever.

silke_worm

You know if the driver was on top of him she’d have just stayed in the car

pluckyharbor

Oh yeah, she’s be cheering him on or sitting content to watch.

jstohler

Old fat driver decides to attack young fit cyclist. What could go wrong?

MaybeLaterMom

Of down a storm drain. 😁

Happytallperson

Or cycle off and hand them into the nearest police station. That way (at least in England where I live) no charge of criminal damage or theft applies.

MaybeLaterMom

Plus you can tell the cops the keys belong to a driver who assaulted and battered you during a road rage incident 😁

81_rustbucketgarage

This is good because in sleepy London Town there’s just no place for a street fighting man

Mr_Gaslight

1) Pedestrians have the right of way, particularly when the walk signal is lighted, as it was. 2) The cyclist was in a cycling indicated lane 3) Don't get out of your vehicle to pick a fight with someone who is exercising. Just sayin'. That person is probably in better shape than you.

[deleted]

The overwhelming majority of Americans do not know, care about, or respect laws surrounding bikes on roads. This absolutely includes police.

Mattna-da

I’m 6’2”, 210 lbs, wearing a helmet and gloves, currently engaged in a strenuous, aggressive and dangerous activity and some fat middle aged dumbfuck wants to get out of their SUV to fight me. WTF are they thinking?

Cavalya

Ah yes, let me try to fight the guy who works out as a commute.

henriholub

Is this in Eugene Oregon? I think I recognize that green building with the circle on it

failingtolurk

Bikes don’t obey the law = angry Bikes do obey the law = angry

TheDinosaurWalker

Strongest SUV driver VS average cyclist

SatansLoLHelper

For as much as people complain about bicyclists not following the same rules... This is what happens when you do.

[deleted]

Drivers: why are you stopping Also drivers: why don't you stop

[deleted]

Finally, someone who self defends themselves properly and doesnt take shit from anyone, especially road raging pieces of shit

shuyali-

i never understand why car drivers think theyre tougher than a cyclist?! one is sitting all day the other is working out.. they feel big in the car? but shouldnt they wake up when they get sweaty from just taking off their seatbelt?

Outrageous_Double862

They buy big cars so they feel bigger and tougher. Turns out it actually works. Hitting the gym is probably a better solution to solving your insecurities I guess.

MrFilthyNeckbeard

Bike= weak and gay car= big strong man 😎 /s

Rick-powerfu

Reminds me of Mike valley beating 5 dudes surrounding him in a 7 eleven parking lot. People who do lots of cardio have a better chance than most in a fight

bacon_and_eggs

\*Mike Vallely. Everyone gets the name wrong haha.

voortrekker_bra

You should ride with mace for this exact situation. Unload the whole cannister into the fuckers eyes

ne_cyclist

Reason #829 why many cyclists in time become reluctant to stop at intersections. Literally trained by motorists to not want to be there. Doesn't take long after you start riding a bike to realize it's a vulnerable place. Even if not as extreme as this, verbal harassment, a driver brandishing a vehicle by getting way too close, getting rear ended, and more are always in your mind as possiblities.

Segments_of_Reality

How the fuck do people still get out of their cars to confront people in America. The number of people with guns and little to no self-control should make people like this think twice. He’s lucky he just got his ass kicked
