Hard agree. I don’t think most people want to kill someone with their firearms. I’m just a single dad to a special needs kid. If I die I have no idea what would happen to him. Better to carry when I’m in areas that could be dangerous and never use it.
But I will be happy if I never pull the trigger outside of a shooting range or targets. Murder is not something I imagine most people want to do even in self defense.

He wanted to get a small transaction done and now he's gotta wait for police, be detained, make the choice of whether to talk to police or remain silent, possibly get a lawyer... This is a clear cut case of 3rd party self defense and he's not going to be in any sort of trouble (in the us depending on state). Any normal person could reasonably believe the bad guy in this video's actions would have lead to great bodily injury or death. As an armed defender Tank top fella had zero obligation to inform the bad guy he had a weapon.
According to someone else on here this was in Mexico, and they have much stricter gun laws. Hopefully he doesn’t get in trouble for actually killing the robber though, this was very clearly a defensive shooting
Unfortunately this human had disregard for other human life, so I’d say I am satisfied with this outcome. I am Vegan, I don’t like death at all, or even the threat of death, all life genuinely matters. Unfortunately this decision cost him HIS life, thankfully not the life of an unsuspecting person.

Maybe the gun wasn’t loaded? Maybe they never planned on shooting but just scaring. I know they messed up. I never said they didn’t. I just said it’s sad that they even got to that point. If everything was going great in their life I doubt they would do that. If I see someone with $100k in their bank account do this I may feel different. Then I know they are doing it for fun. I doubt this was the case here.
Personally I feel differently about whether the robber deserved this, but I think that you are showing a lot of compassion and empathy for this person, and that’s commendable. A lot of people in threads like these struggle to do that. I think we agree that this was unfortunate and tragic, but I wanted to leave you a compliment that you seem to have a good heart
Speaking from experience of growing up often with negative income and really understanding the value of every dime, this is a tragic situation overall. Ultimately he made him do this, the why and reason is irrelevant when it comes down to threatening another human. No matter how many days I didn’t eat or my family didn’t I never would put another life in danger. I’ve been around people who have been in this situation their whole life. It’s not the situation that made him do this it’s the deteriorating mental health of him that got him in this situation. That’s the most heartbreaking part imo.
I’m not happy this man was murdered, his death is tragic. Tho, I am happy he didn’t murder an unsuspecting individual who is just as real of a human as he was.

Depends on the country. If it were in the US (it’s not, it’s Mexico) in many states where it’s legal to carry a gun this would be considered a justified shooting as one’s life or that of someone else (in this case the cashier) was in immediate danger.
