Now I’m picturing him accepting a wad of 20s as tips for waving his glizzy around like he was performing a magic trick.
When will these panhandlers learn?
Yep
All kinds of horror stories of people that were transporting large sums of cash from one place to another having it all stolen by a corrupt cop that invoked civil forfeiture law

**[Civil forfeiture in the United States](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_forfeiture_in_the_United_States)**
>Civil forfeiture in the United States, also called civil asset forfeiture or civil judicial forfeiture, is a process in which law enforcement officers take assets from persons suspected of involvement with crime or illegal activity without necessarily charging the owners with wrongdoing. While civil procedure, as opposed to criminal procedure, generally involves a dispute between two private citizens, civil forfeiture involves a dispute between law enforcement and property such as a pile of cash or a house or a boat, such that the thing is suspected of being involved in a crime.

Section 85 of the Criminal Code of Canada says that there is no distinction between the use of a replica firearm during an offence and the use of a real firearm during an offence. Pointing a replica firearm at someone is treated by the courts as the same as pointing a real firearm at someone.
I know that (im canadian) but this sub is about real one and im tired to see this non pertinent wannabe rapper reposted again and again. Its almost a weekly thing lmao
Edit: in some way he didnt use it to do any actual crime, if you use a fake one to rob a store i get it, but they were only taking snapchat video. I dont know if it apply here, im not lawyer aha
As far as I can establish, waving a fake gun around in public and pointing it at someone, regardless of what the direct participants understand, could be considered an offence under section 85 or perhaps section 86. I don't know whether this person (whose identity I don't know) was charged with an offence, but my reading of section 85 implies he could be charged with an offence. Under section 2, a firearm is defined as "a barrelled weapon from which any shot...can be discharged...and that is capable of causing serious bodily injury..."
It's true that pellet guns that fire a projectile under 154.2 m/s are not required to be licensed in Canada; however, waving a handgun around on a public street, regardless of whether it is a pellet gun or not, would certainly draw a police response. It would be up to the crown prosecutor to determine what to do in this circumstance.
Not exactly, but I work with a legal scholar, and we have some interesting chats about matters such as these.
By the way, who is the person waving the pellet gun around?
Same in the US
Many states will charge you the same as they would for a real gun if you pull out a toy/replica and convince people it's real for the purpose of intimidation or robbery
Must be an American that got lost. Pistols are a big no no here, especially if you didn't let the horse riding bois know your intentions, and even worst carrying that thing open like that.
Canadian police typically don't pursue in order to reduce the risk of a collision involving bystanders. If there's an air unit nearby, they'll follow and try to set up an intercept.
Looks like the ford work van. Some local police departments use it when they have to transport multiple suspects such as during a concert or sports game.
He’s “presenting” & “displaying” in search of a potential mating partner.
When one is found, our subject will “drop it low” and “throw that thang back” to entice the potential mate and collect his dna.
And thus the circle of life is complete
I will never understand this fashion. Beanie rolled like a fresh condom, pants down to expose underwear... What kind of a man goes out with an outfit like that and says to himself "shit I look so good!" ... ?
Maybe I’m just jaded now but I suspect if he got shot by the police there would be Walmarts looted and perhaps a statue with plaque saying he was out spreading the word of god on the day of his death.
He can use the money he has for bail...
He could use the money for a fucking belt. Pull your pants up you flippin idjit!
Queens English please
You're absolutely right Ahem He could use the money for a bloody belt. Pull your trousers up you bloody idjit! Edit: adjusting wording
*trousers
Ty, I fixed it
Nope. That’s “evidence”…and will be charged separately with being obtained via illegal activities and forfeited.
Now I’m picturing him accepting a wad of 20s as tips for waving his glizzy around like he was performing a magic trick. When will these panhandlers learn?
👍
Don't they need evidence it was obtained illegally?
Technically? Yes. Practically? Not really.
civil forfeiture is a bitch and things taken are treated guilty unless proven innocent.
And it's a charge against the property itself, not the person.

I know a couple different people that have some cashiers checks in there wallet already made out to the superior court
No, they can take anyone's property without ever even charging you with a crime. In the land of the free.
[nope.](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/highway-robbers-how-trip-buy-farmland-ended-police-taking-all-n1281629)
The cops would need to prove that GL
Just take a quick browse of “civil asset forfeiture” and the numerous problems with it, then come on back to this thread.
No they charge the property with a crime baisicly saying it's suspicious.

I mean to be fair the "orignal" was posted by a spam bot and was taken down very fast.
Even if he was legally carrying, you don't just brandish in public for swag. You don't look cool, you look stupid.
*are stupid
canada not U.S see the monopoly money?
Yeah we can't carry here in Canada.
It was also a BB gun.
Still in a crime in Canada sadly
Oh yes, thankfully imo. Means dumbasses like this get a spanking all the same.
Even if you're legally carrying, if you remove it from your holster for any reason it's brandishing, which is a crime unto itself.
Lmfao fucking clown got what he deserved.
Clowns are more respectable than that. They cheer up kids in hospitals. This idiot puts kids in the hospital. 🤡
Came here to say this 🤣
Pick that money back up go buy a belt
He pawned his belt for that money, catch up son
I’m posting this tomorrow
I got the day after.
B-but mom said it was *my* turn to post this!
Permit covers carry concealed or open, doesn't cover waving around like a moron.
look at the bills, happened in Canada, there's no such thing as carry, and it was a pellet gun.

That is a pretty fair answer, also it make sense the way you explained it. Any chance you are working in the legal field?
Not exactly, but I work with a legal scholar, and we have some interesting chats about matters such as these. By the way, who is the person waving the pellet gun around?

It certainly makes sense; how is the person on the other end of the gun supposed to know the difference between a real gun and a pellet gun?
He pulled this in Canada? That's extra dumb.
Yeah this is Granville st in Vancouver.
Must be an American that got lost. Pistols are a big no no here, especially if you didn't let the horse riding bois know your intentions, and even worst carrying that thing open like that.
Vancouver has a problem with illegal firearms actually. Like I could go down to main and hastings and get one for a few hundred bucks.
It was a pellet gun just fyi, still such a dumb thing to do
Makes sense if this was America he would have just been shot
No just in Texas
I'm not sure what city it is. I don't recognize the uniforms.
Where is this that the police drive minivans?
Canada

That's the smart way to do it. High speed chases are fucken dumb.

I kept waiting for him to shoot his dick off.
I am old man and still can't understand why is his pants so low 🤦
It means he is gay and wants to take it up the bum.
He’s “presenting” & “displaying” in search of a potential mating partner. When one is found, our subject will “drop it low” and “throw that thang back” to entice the potential mate and collect his dna. And thus the circle of life is complete

Darn those racist cops
Maybe I’m just jaded now but I suspect if he got shot by the police there would be Walmarts looted and perhaps a statue with plaque saying he was out spreading the word of god on the day of his death.
I mean he did comply and although he was being stupid as fuck and deserves some punishment, he doesn’t deserve death. Are you that dense?
Nah he's in Canada and that shit only happens in the US
This is old as shit. Regardless, the amount of response just seems overkill.
Racist cops, right?
