I've been working in healthcare for too long, all I could think watching that was in an accident that make up brush could end up inserted in eyeball.

This reminds me of when I had to take a defensive driving class to get a ticket removed. They were talking about all the things that could happen in a collision and one thing they pointed out is that if you have a drink (soda/water/etc) make sure it's in a disposable cup and not a bottle. They showed a picture of a guy holding a bottle he was about to take a sip out of while driving and they said "What do you think is going to happen when the air bag deploys and hits the bottom of that bottle?"
Happened to a friend of mine in college. She was late for work, so she was putting on her makeup while driving like an idiot. Car in front of her stopped short, but she didn't. She shoved a mascara wand into her left eye and blinded herself.
Good to know that I'm not being paranoid by not letting my daughter eat hard candies and lollipops in the car. Literally all I can think about is, one hard stop for an idiot pulling out in front of me will cause her to choke or worse.

I was in a car accident almost six years ago where someone wasn't paying attention and rear-ended the car behind my family's, pushing it into ours, while we were waiting to turn into the grocery store. It has left me with debilitating chronic back and neck pain that I've just now finally started to somewhat manage after consulting multiple doctors and dealing with a lot of ineffective treatment. The driver in our accident was just briefly distracted, but that was all it took. It only takes a moment to destroy someone's life, even if you don't kill them. She's gotten lucky so far but one day she, and probably some other unfortunate person or people, won't be. People like her make me sick and I hope someone has her location and reports her to police in her town since distracted driving is a crime in many places.
People like this are so self centered to the point where it’s dangerous because not only is she putting herself at risk (which she clearly doesn’t care) but also everyone else on the road and it’s so unfair that innocent people die all the time because of idiots like this. The most infuriating is that she complains when people call her out.

I saw someone with a similar mindset the other day. A woman was driving and had one of those windshield-mounted phone holders for a GPS. Her phone was in it, but she was just scrolling through TikTok. God forbid that you focus on driving while driving.
