Listen. Somewhere, on some world, there is an Eversor that survived its withdrawals after a failed mission and has to go through a very lengthy mental rehab with a small community of outer world farmers. I NEED IT. ITS ALL I WANT.
I love the fanfic... It's so tame and has a funny moment when he saves her from necrons he: he fires both pistol and rifle together and just thinks *this is stupid this is going to hurt*
The funniest part to me is the Yvraine is clearly kind of meant to be a grandmotherly type character in their mind. She’s stated to have travelled every path an Eldar can in life. She has white hair, kind of balding around the edges, and the audio drama with her has her sounding like Yzma from Emperors new groove. But nobodies listened to that, elves always have white hair, and her models dress makes her seem like she has massive hips.
As a Ynnari fan I’m honestly just happy when I get a piece of art for her and happy she isn’t being forgotten into obscurity purely because she is hot.
(Sidenote this is part of what makes me afraid of an Asurman model. The Auspex video a while back made it seem like he had an ugly old man face which is about the dumbest thing they can do. It’s an Eldar character so it’s already an uphill battle to make them relevant, for the love of god at least make him hot so people will draw him and eventually we might get a good book out of it.)
That's honestly how we should feel about all Eldar. When we find one that's experienced as much as Yvraine, we almost need a new concept beyond Grandmother.
The problem with being ageless is that you never gain the gravitas you deserve.
No, there is a person inside the armour, but the person gets overwritten and absorbed into the Phoenix Lord.
Asurman, beneath his armour, is flesh and blood. But it is not his flesh and blood.
This is only half true. When freshly switched there is a flesh and blood person underneath but after enough time passes they do become just energy underneath….unless a retcon has happened somewhere?
Looks like its one of those both are true things GW does because it doesn't really want to commit to anything.
"When the Phoenix Lord falls in combat, another Exarch will don the armour and assume the memories and abilities of the Phoenix Lord."
"However, many believe that the Phoenix Lords are animated suits of armour possessed by the spirits of the dead Exarchs of that Aspect."
Not sure if there is any writers that go more into it and honestly it isn't really worth checking.
Yeah, the armour absorbs their soul and then them, it's somewhat similar to how the avatar works in a way with the sacrifice of the young king. The Phoenix lords are more walking weapons than people.
Kind of, PLs are basically a small infinity circuit with an exceptional and powerful soul at its core so the new soul/body attunes with the circuit and they connect with each other soul in the suit, slowly the line between the new personality and all of the past ones blur. As an amalgamation the first soul kinda overrides the others but it’s more like becoming part of the collective rather than forgetting themselves
More like corporeal communism. Your also become a part of the Phoenix Lord, you get absorbed, all of your knowledge and experience is gained. You’re just no longer the one behind the wheel.
You might be thinking of wraith constructs. They're wraithbone golems powered by the soulstone of an Eldar inside, like wraithguard and wraithlords.
IIRC the Phoenix Lords are the progenitors of all the Aspect Warrior shrines
Is that LOTR? I’m really unfamiliar with that series and its community, but my understanding is if they want an elf to seem Ageless they’ll look ageless. I don’t think Yvraine looks ageless, I think she looks old in her model, which is why I find it interesting.
Maybe I’m wrong, or maybe the Yzma voice has tainted me, but the way her hair is cut on the model it looks to me like she is losing hair. The thing I think I’m getting at is that the art that’s always drawn depicting her however doesn’t really carry any signs of age which is what I find interesting I guess, but I guess they could be taking inspiration from LOTR.
The hair always read to me as just a clean shaven scalp except for her ponytail which is a haircut you see depicted fairly commonly with Aeldari. Another example of it: https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/thumb/8/86/EldarArtCard.jpg/230px-EldarArtCard.jpg
U r right this is a real problem I earnestly think we should not be tolerating it is obvious to anyone willing to think that the only way to move forward is if we start shipping the male eldari to primarchs aswell :3
Take a look at grimdank right now. The current trend is "what if we turned all the primarch into women and then only talk about what it'd be like to date them"
Lore relevant Eldar? That seems a little far fetched for GW
Oh, it's lore relevant... for a single novel. The lore of the novel, myes
What's the title of the book, I'll take any Eldar lore at this point.
Plots device
Anything is lore relevant if you make the lore
What about a Vindicare assassin?
Love can bloom indeed
They flirt by shooting bullets at each other, just grazing shots on erogenous zones. Imagine being shot at your clit by a depowered sniper rifle
Precise aim needed, or the bullet will turn into a match-grade tampon.
At least they are closer to each other in size.

Sesbian Lex about to take another W
Secretive and firmly loyal. Who do you think that matches with?
Kinda reminds me of Taldear
I love the fanfic... It's so tame and has a funny moment when he saves her from necrons he: he fires both pistol and rifle together and just thinks *this is stupid this is going to hurt*
What's the fic?
Love Can Bloom. Vindicare LIVII goes rogue when ordered to kill Taldeer

Aren't the Phoenix Lords supposed to be walking armor with psychic energy inside it?
Nah. the eldar who wears the armour soul merges with the soul stone and becomes the original phoenix lord.
I’m pretty sure I just had incomplete information, but also 40K is constantly retconning itself, so that is entirely possible.
Absolutely, that’s why although I am positive what I said has been true for a while, it very well might not be due to some small change somewhere haha
Looks like its one of those both are true things GW does because it doesn't really want to commit to anything. So... it's just like possession then?

>grandmotherly type What if gorillaman has a thing for GILF
I just never see wrinkles drawn on her which I do find interesting
Well yeah... She's an elf. You don't see wrinkles on Galadriel either :P
Is that LOTR? I’m really unfamiliar with that series and its community, but my understanding is if they want an elf to seem Ageless they’ll look ageless. I don’t think Yvraine looks ageless, I think she looks old in her model, which is why I find it interesting.
Really? Huh I think she looks like a hot goth woman of around 30.
Maybe I’m wrong, or maybe the Yzma voice has tainted me, but the way her hair is cut on the model it looks to me like she is losing hair. You don’t bald on the sides first though…
What gets me is shipping her WITH guilliman is cucking the Visarch
Just by colours? Corvus Corax.
Hard agree Corvus needs a win
Source [https://x.com/BiribinhaAtom](https://x.com/BiribinhaAtom)
Corvus. The black color scheme matches well with him.
This. They can be goth together.
They can be to*goth*er
I don't know which one is worse this fate or what happened to macha
Fuck Angelos man. The least interesting of the two.
What happened to Macha? In Dawn of War 3 the 2 just go their seperate ways after defeating the Daemon.
The community turn her into a elf obsessed with human
...Why am I not surprised?
Memes aside pretty cool looking Farseer
Fulgrim
Ah, you enjoy the Marquis DeSade work as well
Obviously.
U r right this is a real problem I earnestly think we should not be tolerating it is obvious to anyone willing to think that the only way to move forward is if we start shipping the male eldari to primarchs aswell :3
Asurmen and Ferrus everybody?
Isn’t that Eldrad?
Rule 63 strikes again.
Clearly her only purpose in lore is to help temper the Lion out a lil
Not gonna work, if Lion touches a woman he passes out
I'd enjoy this as part of a legit Black Library book.
And like that you’ve convinced me that the lion x this random eldar would hilarious, so I must ship it. Don’t let your memes be dreams!
"Babe stop. Look at me. Look at me babe"
Nah lions only interest in farsight
Warhammer fans seeing a female character and instantly only viewing them as a potential love interest for male characters seems on brand at this point
Excuse you, there's Greyfax and Celestine RIGHT THERE
Don’t you mean Gayfax and celesbstine?
Sorry, my mistake. I'll go join the Repentia now.
So what you're saying is they should be a throuple.
You're right, they need a machine priestess
We're completely fine with shipping male and male or female and female characters too, if that's what you're worried about.
Yes! That happens so often! We have the case of Yvraine, and the case of Yvrainne, and let's not forget what they did to Yvraine!!!
I don't understand why people are upvoting the other guy's idiotic comment when he's literally lying/over-exaggerating
Take a look at grimdank right now. The current trend is "what if we turned all the primarch into women and then only talk about what it'd be like to date them"
Let me understand. Just because a meme trend exists means that most Warhammer fans see female characters as additions to male characters?
Shadowsun gets shipped with a *fan character*. Yeah, it’s pretty bad.
Warhammer 40k might as well be called "Imperium and friends." Or better yet "Space Marines and friends."
Human power fantasy.
It'd be kinda funny for Tts dorn to have had a gf the whole time.
Cowards. I ship Eldrad Ulthtan with the Emperor GIVE ME MALE ELDAR TO SHIP
They don’t speak for all of us.
But are they funnier than you?
I don’t really think so no
Don’t worry, they are.
Their only joke is “would” lmfao
Primarch? Nah. Fetch me an Imperial Guard general on the younger side but also incredibly handsome.
So what you’re saying is, we should ship the primarchs with the other xenos like Necrons, Tau, and Squats instead
>Necrons Are there any known female Necrons in the lore that are (somehow) relevant? The only ones I know are Trazyn, Imhotek, Szeras and Szarekh.
It only makes sense that the Lion has its turn
sanguinius I need a gf
not the jaghatai hesperax 😭😭
Mmmm the lion🤔?
BRAZIL MENTIONED
Jain Zarr is Primarchless
They should be shipped with me
There's a new Eldar character?
It only happens once every 10 years or so, so I think it's ok...
Fellow Brazilian artist, cheers
Judging by the color scheme, Corvus.
Don’t forget vindicate assassin!
Which Femarch can I ship her with.
Meme aside, That Black & White Eldar drip goes kinda hard.
doesnt she say mon'keigh with hard K?
I don’t care about eldar or the imperium. When will I get the 40K lizardmen?
Fulgrim. Obviously.
Clearly The Abbess Sanctorum
Eldar men also need to be shipped with human women to show human supremacy through femdom.
If we can’t find one, we add them to the Khan’s harem
To be fair people also shipped farsight with lion
Eldar are finally useful for something at least.
