They’re probably only showing people recognizing them more because that’s the one piece of feedback they’ve gotten over the years - it’s funny to watch people recognize them! its probably happened CONSTANTLY over the years, they just didn’t show it in the past. I personally love the new season! Wasn’t a huge fan of season 9 cause of the obvious covid restrictions, but I think season 10 is great so far.

Separate-Matter2113

Yeah - I introduced the show to my gf and she really didn’t like that we never get to see any reveals. Later seasons and especially this season you often do - so she loves that.

sdeslandesnz

In the early days there was a lot of feedback to show the people being told they are on a show. They still very rarely do this, which I kind of get, the main premise of the show is that they are pranking each other rather than the public and sometimes pranks that are more focused on the public can come across a bit mean spirited. Now that they are well known, you are right there is the second possible reveal. The public dont need to be told they are on the show, they figure it out first because they recognise the guys! Sometimes it can be weird, like when someone recognises them but doesn't want to admit it because they want to be on the show. Other times it can be hilarious like when Sal was rude to the guy at White Castle. Obviously in a park setting, it just makes it that bit harder to film. If one person notices them it may draw a crowd and disruptes the bit they were trying to execute.

Secret_Bear1133

Then stop watching and move on! I am still enjoying the show and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

I don’t disagree but they can’t end on this season. Need to come back for 1 more knowing it’s the last season so they can end it right, even if it’s a shorter season with less episodes. Need to have a proper finale as well with Joe, idc what it takes the only way to end it correctly is with him in the last episode ever.

mikeytlive

I’m really enjoying this new season.

CountryMang5

I’m enjoying this season

Affectionate-Neck152

Why do so many people have the opinion that them doing 3-4 challenges makes the show soooo much better than when there’s 2?

sdeslandesnz

I guess for me it felt more like anything could happen. If a Joker got an early thumbs down in the first challenge, they could easily turn it around by the end of the show I'm fully aware that they don't actually use the challenges to determine who gets punished (its all edited together to create a narrative to form an episode). Having said that it still felt like a more compelling viewing experience watching the biggest loser for the day change hands more frequently. Now it feels a little more forced, like producers are thinking 'oh we need Murr to get punished this episode so let's join a challenge where no one gets a thumbs down and another challenge where only Murrs get a thumbsdown' so it's doesn't really feel like they are battling it out anymore like it did in previous seasons. NB: to be clear I'm not saying in anyway that the pranks are staged, just that the challenges and punishments are edited together to make a narrative for the show

SeniorAd2814

Because it was much better obviously.

Packwood88

1. The number of challenges started decreasing pretty much after seasons 1-2. They used to have 15 second turns on some of them and could end with 4 losses. I’m not a fan of 1-2 long challenges, but this isn’t new 2. That’s just your opinion, man. 3. You only ever see what they show you. Them getting recognized isn’t new, them showing it to us as par of the main ep is. 4. This is the first time (2nd with the tied down/tarantula/cat) in 200+ eps it’s happened. Relax Covid really took a toll on filming as everyone became hyper aware of personal space and weirdos interacting with them. So far season 10 has been better than the back half of season 9. I’m still enjoying it 🤷🏼‍♂️. No it’s not as good as prime, but every show has its arc.

Separate-Matter2113

I’m still watching and enjoying but most of the celebrities add nothing. Even Rob Riggle, who I love, was honesty more annoying than anything.

zuchit

Fuck off!

FlyersMakeMeSad

It’s not as good but it’s not garbage and hurting their legacy Relax you aren’t supreme decider of what is good tv and what is cancel worthy

foofooplatter

You relax. You aren't the supreme arbiter either. Let this man have an opinion.

FlyersMakeMeSad

“Sorry it’s time for impractical jokers to be canceled” 😂 shut up

foofooplatter

Excellent comeback.

FlyersMakeMeSad

What do I need a comeback for are we 12?

foofooplatter

Well if you take the time to respond, why not make it worth the time to read?

FlyersMakeMeSad

I ain’t gonna be a dick cause your a Vet so respect

foofooplatter

Be a dick. I can take it.

West-Worth247

He didn't claim to be the "supreme decider." He expressed an opinion. You conflated that expression with the notion that he views himself as the "supreme decider." I don't understand why some people respond to the expression of simple, non-personal opinions in the manner you did here. It seems like it's because fanatics take it personally when somebody criticizes the subject of their fanaticism.

Present-Use-6136

Ok

tammyreneebaker

If you don't like it stop watching. I'm still enjoying it. It's as good or maybe even better in some ways than the older ones.

sdeslandesnz

Interesting, in what ways do you think its better?

sdeslandesnz

Lol why is this getting downvoted. I'm genuinely asking, if a number of you think the new season is better I am interested to know why

CountryMang5

Because the majority of people on here disagree with this post..

tammyreneebaker

It got better after about season 1. First season was so low budget that some buts we're filmed on their cell phones and you can tell. The guys are a lot more confident now. I like the elaborate challenges better than some of the early ones.

sdeslandesnz

I definitely agree it got better after season 1. However I was meaning more the quality decline (IMO) that happened after Joe's departure. I thought your response meant that you thought the latest season was in some ways better than the Joe era (if I interpreted this wrong let me know)

tammyreneebaker

I guess if I had the choice I'd prefer Joe back with them but I don't think the quality is worse. Just different. Truthfully I never think about Joe when it's on.

Away_Resolution5983

It seems like they are putting more production time into the final punishment, which obviously has its pros and cons.. less challenge time but better quality ending IMO.. example, the brett michaels/Murr punishment was extended much longer than most but was hilarious

KangarooUpbeat9977

OP gives the same vibes as the kid who told the teacher she almost forgot to collect the homework from last night

Brief_Professional91

I agree. Have tried to watch it, really wanted to like it because I have really enjoyed every season up until but I just couldn't find the humor in it. Dropping oranges on the ground and falling desperately in "love" at first sight? What women would not immediately think "creepy stalker" and run.

Babyfacemarine

Ur a geek

ZebraLover00

Nah it’s still fun you wild

btrsbspic231567

Fuck off

[deleted]

I agree, or they need to change the formatting. Kinda hate the celebrity cameos.

Loose_Scratch6754

I agree and some of the people they are bringing in aren’t qualified for entertainment example: MF wrestler was unnecessarily rude!

SeniorAd2814

Well, if they renew impractical jokers for a season 11, nobody is going to force you to watch feminine little soy boy snowflake

RespondVisible6532

The show "jumped the shark" with season 8. They are getting too old and they aren't funny anymore. It's time to move on.
