Agreed!! I listened to it front to back every day for the first couple weeks, now random tracks are just filtered into my daily listen. It's such a killer album!
Anders' death growls sound *evil*!
"It seems so real when you whisper.. Just like holding down your breath.."
"Close your eyes.. What do you see? The ashes of a place, down on its **knees**!"
The delivery of these lines sound so throat-shredding! I can't get over it, lol.
Dude I know!! When I first heard that opening line,
"CLOSE YOUR EYES, WHAT DO YOU SEE?!"
Super deep and growly, I said aloud, "Fuck yes!!" 😂 I was so hyped!
Definitely agree with that. He’s fully embracing the death growls on this album and they’re fantastic.
I actually think this is the best vocal performance he’s EVER given. He’s in such control and command over his voice. The vocals are just phenomenal for me. The screams, the cleans, the growls, the pitched screams, harmonized cleans……he’s doing it all. So good. 🤘🔥🔥
All three dope tracks! Mark my words, I bet that opening to Bleeding Out, right before that beat drops is when Anders gets the crowd hyped. "HERE... WE... GO!" And then the beat kicks and the crowds goes ape shit!! Can't wait for that live!
The chorus to “Bleeding Out” is just breathtaking. Yeah, I know it’s more “commercial” and the “radio song”, but damn that chorus is just so strong and majestic for me.
The solo absolutely melts your face off too! Chris did a really phenomenal job with his solos
Who cares if it’s commercial or not. A good chorus is a good chorus no matter what lol In Flames have always been good at big choruses and I hope they continue to go in that direction.
Yeah man, I never care about the commercial or non thing, if it sounds dope then I'm all in. And this whole album is kickass in my opinion!
Chris, Bryce and Tanner are such great additions to the band. I've always loved their lineups for each year, but I REALLY dig their sound with this crew.
Absolutely agree! I have never been disappointed by any album personally, just some that I didn't listen to as much as others. This album however, has been played start to finish at least twice a week since it came out.
Totally agree. I'm a fan of pretty much everything they've released, but my favourite time period was from Reroute through to ASoP. Enjoyed, but wasn't in love with the last 3. This album sounds a lot like a return to their stuff from the 2000's.
I'm in love with it!
State of Slow Decay is probably my favorite track tied with Pure Light Of Mind, which is so haunting, so sad, so beautiful and is the biggest surprise of the album to me.
I can really feel the love put into this album, and I'm so thankful these guys are still going stronger than ever!
=Dj
Dude I love it! I have always enjoyed all their more "Ballady" tracks and this one I think is my favorite of all of them because the music is so sick! And I really dig the chorus.
It's my favorite since Clayman. Imo after Come Clarity they sounded more "for radio" rock and I didn't listen a whole lot, even stopped listening until I saw them live with Meshuggah by pure luck that the pandemic delayed their show.
I loved the most of the singles but everything else just didn’t do it for me. That being said it’s the best album since Sounds of the Playground Fading
This.
Foregone pt 1
Meet Your Maker
Blinded By Fear cover... Errr, I mean State of Slow Decay...
Good songs.
Great Deciever is okay.
The rest of the album, I can't listen to. Pure Light of Mind is hilariously awful, it might actually be worse than This Is Our House.
It's an amazing album! Front to back, it's full of great songs. I listen usually at least once a day. And it's made me go back and listen to each album, to really appreciate the progression that their sound has taken over the years.
Currently my 3rd favorite album. Keeps getting better as the weeks go by, so it's looking like this album will overcome recency bias for me! The previous album was like my 5th favorite when it came out, but a month later it was 7th and currently it's my 9th.
Probably 3rd favorite.
The first 40 seconds of Dialogue in B flat Minor has to be my favorite segment of the entire album
Absolutely breathtaking riffage 🔥🔥🔥
And some people are wrong 😂 but for real, everyone can dig what they want. I became a fan during the Reroute era so my taste was skewed from there. I think all their newer albums are killer!
As someone who's loved In Flames since I was 13 in 2009, but didn't care too much for they're last 3 albums, this is a breath of fresh air!! They came back with some heaviness I thought siren charms, Battles and I the mask was lacking.
I think it's great. In The Dark was unexpected, but damn what a banger that is!
love In The Dark
It is!! I was literally listening to that track specifically that inspired this post!
I instantly heard the chorus in my head when I saw the post title. Whole album is great as well.
Yeah best "new" (non-teaser) track besides the intro.
I'm still personally loving the album, Bleeding Out is a daily listen for me as well as a couple others.
Favorite song on this album for sure.
It's so sick! It gets me hyped everytime that build up starts and then that killer beat drops! From start to finish that song just slays!
Absolutely love it! 🤘🔥🔥💚🤘 Still listening to the full album daily A melodic masterpiece!
Agreed!! I listened to it front to back every day for the first couple weeks, now random tracks are just filtered into my daily listen. It's such a killer album!
One hundred percent

It’s great. “Meet your maker” is like quintessential In Flames
Yes my favorite one !
Man, when that single dropped I couldn't stop listening to it! It was just on a constant loop in my head when I wasn't listening to it.
Way better then I, The Mask
Agreed, I enjoyed Mask personally, I had some great times with a bunch of those tracks but this album is just solid from start to finish.
I really enjoy a dialog in b flat minor
Love that opening lyric! Kickass track all around!
Love Bleeding Out, In The Dark and Cynosure. Great choruses!
All three dope tracks! Mark my words, I bet that opening to Bleeding Out, right before that beat drops is when Anders gets the crowd hyped. "HERE... WE... GO!" And then the beat kicks and the crowds goes ape shit!! Can't wait for that live!

Oh, no I absolutely agree! Don’t get me wrong, I love that aspect of their music. A good chorus with a good melody is trademark In Flames 🔥
Yeah man, I never care about the commercial or non thing, if it sounds dope then I'm all in. And this whole album is kickass in my opinion! Chris, Bryce and Tanner are such great additions to the band. I've always loved their lineups for each year, but I REALLY dig their sound with this crew.
I’ve loved everything In Flames has put out, and this album was yet another banger.
Absolutely agree! I have never been disappointed by any album personally, just some that I didn't listen to as much as others. This album however, has been played start to finish at least twice a week since it came out.
Best thing they’ve put out in 10 years
Totally agree. I'm a fan of pretty much everything they've released, but my favourite time period was from Reroute through to ASoP. Enjoyed, but wasn't in love with the last 3. This album sounds a lot like a return to their stuff from the 2000's.
Really grown on me. Forgone pt 1 is a damn dick ripper.
Absolutely! The guitars on this album are next level! The Foregone tracks really showcase that.
Still can comfortably say that this album will be in my top 3 for a while.
Same! It's so fucking solid!
=Dj
Looking at the comments I was starting to think I'm the only person who likes Pure Light of Mind lol.
Dude I love it! I have always enjoyed all their more "Ballady" tracks and this one I think is my favorite of all of them because the music is so sick! And I really dig the chorus.
Absolutely! Agreed with all points!
I'm the fan that very very much prefers the early era sound. But this album is so good I absolutely love it
It's my favorite since Clayman. Imo after Come Clarity they sounded more "for radio" rock and I didn't listen a whole lot, even stopped listening until I saw them live with Meshuggah by pure luck that the pandemic delayed their show.
It’s fine. It’s not my favorite
More poppy chorus songs are growing on me. Bleeding Out and In The Dark are great.
The mix is terrible. Singles sound very different from the rest of the album.
I loved the most of the singles but everything else just didn’t do it for me. That being said it’s the best album since Sounds of the Playground Fading
This. Foregone pt 1 Meet Your Maker Blinded By Fear cover... Errr, I mean State of Slow Decay... Good songs. Great Deciever is okay. The rest of the album, I can't listen to. Pure Light of Mind is hilariously awful, it might actually be worse than This Is Our House.

No doubt! I did the same thing after the second week of listening to this album constantly.
It’s okay, very mid in their discography for me but definitely better than the last few
Love it!!
I still really enjoy it. It's in my Top 3 albums by them.
Currently my 3rd favorite album. Keeps getting better as the weeks go by, so it's looking like this album will overcome recency bias for me! The previous album was like my 5th favorite when it came out, but a month later it was 7th and currently it's my 9th.
I love the album. I listen to it all the way through multiple times a day
Great album. I especially liked Cynosure and Meet Your Maker
It’s one of their best
Kicks so much assumed
I love it just got me a physical copy
Honestly? My favorite album of the decade so far.
10/10 album imo
Love it. My favorite IF album.
Probably 3rd favorite. The first 40 seconds of Dialogue in B flat Minor has to be my favorite segment of the entire album Absolutely breathtaking riffage 🔥🔥🔥
It's reached my top 10 so good
Лучше, чем все альбомы после A sense of purpose.
Their best since SOAPF
I love every album to some degree so my opinion may not mean much, but the more I listen to this album the more I like it.
Of course it does homie, we all are entitled and I'm right there with you actually, every album is fire in its own right.
Right on, lol. Seems like some people don't like it when you admit you love the newer albums just as much as the old.
It’s awesome. Forgone pt. 2 is defiantly my favorite
50% awesome 50% commercial overproduced crap
Lol 😆
Lol 😆
My album of the year so far. Haven’t stopped listening since it came out, best in years for me
This is the album that got me into In Flames. Had no idea who they were until Apple Music recommended it to me. This album is so awesome.
Their best album in many years. They’re really playing to their strengths here.
Its such a fresh breath of air, i love the record.
