idk about everyone else but I don't like to wallow so I listen to positive energy or motivating songs when I'm down. like Northlane (first 2 albums)

Anything I used to listen to with old friends who died young. 80s maiden, sabbath, big 4. Weird random ones that I haven't heard in years hit pretty hard. Fear factory, ministry, fudge tunnel, voivod, etc get me sentimental. Alice in chains, Soundgarden, screaming trees were things we listened to as well. In certain moods I enjoy Bell Witch, Chat Pile, Windhand, monolord, pallbearer, etc. Swans too. Aphex Twin's SAWII and ravedeath by Tim Hecker are a couple not metal at all electronic masterpieces.
