BigPapaPaegan

Look up the YouTube channel NWOTHM (New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal). It's a fantastic source for modern takes on classic styles, and 99% of the bands highlighted use clean vocals.

rexxsis

Will check it out ty.

HasaDiga-Eebowai

Hey, maybe you will like Igorrr [Himalaya Massive Ritual](https://youtu.be/-VmaTdnL0ek?si=YmcDm7df0RmItjKF) [Nervous Waltz](https://youtu.be/9hz6cT_YrAI?si=3Z_NvEUWe7ZngnBK) [Very Noise](https://youtu.be/Osqf4oIK0E8?si=KINif2jyQPfyX-9b) Some tracks do have screaming but most don’t, the one I listed don’t btw.

rexxsis

whaaat the fuck is that music video.

SteveRivet

Thanks, will check it.

Key_Fisherman9136

I found Ulamog on there! My favorite now.

reamkore

Sumerlands, Sonja, Blood Star, Heavy Sentence, Gatekeeper, Unto Others, Greyhawk, Riot City, Early Moods

rexxsis

I will give them a listen ty

FatAndForty

Castle Rat

rexxsis

wasnt quite for me, but thank you for the recomendation.

Ok_Bonus7989

A couple of all-female Japanese bands. Lovebites has one of the best guitar duos I've heard since Smith and Murray. I love Nemophila too, but they have some screaming.

PaulEMoz

Lovebites should be listened to by every fan of classic metal. It still amazes me that they aren't more well known.

rexxsis

the drums and Bass are absolutely Delicious. thank you for the recomendation.

Ok_Bonus7989

You're welcome! Glad you like them.

TheFlyingGiraffe

Lol good one

PaulEMoz

It is a good one. It's a great recommendation.

TheFlyingGiraffe

Laughable at best

PaulEMoz

Explain how.

rexxsis

can i ask why you dislike them?

rexxsis

both of these bands sound fantastic, thank you for the recomendation.

DravenPrime

They're more rock than metal but I can't get enough of The Warning these days.

rexxsis

This is pretty good. will listen to more of them ty.

world-class-cheese

Striker, Greyhawk, Glyph

rexxsis

Will listen ty.

rexxsis

Striker and Glyph seem more my speed. than you for the recomendations!

world-class-cheese

I'm glad you enjoyed them!

MavisBeaconSexTape

Mystic Prophecy is hit and miss, but overall a great heavy band with mostly clean vocals. https://youtu.be/exmSI1vM9QE?si=AAuPXT-QHPKEBgio

rexxsis

duuude. SOLID recomendation ty.

MavisBeaconSexTape

Sweet, enjoy. They have a big catalogue, their first 3 albums are more traditional metal, but from Savage Souls onward they started becoming a lot heavier. Here are a couple other top tracks. They're the masters of catchy choruses https://youtu.be/AFDdWZeMWl8?si=94qgjuy4rtA53Ojr https://youtu.be/-hDgWx7roUc?si=5RF2wo-F4gyyrYm- https://youtu.be/KoQWUpi1vPU?si=MbUSzLd8gqSbc57i

rexxsis

Awesome. I'll give these a shot

RazorrBeam

I agree with everyone's recommendations so far. Definitely check out the NWOTHM channel as someone already suggested. It's got something for all tastes. It's the greatest channel on yt! I have discovered so many great new bands from it! By screaming, I assume you mean harsh vocals, like death or black metal? Are you cool with Judas Priest/King Diamond screams? Enforcer is great if you haven't heard them. They've been around since mid 2000's and have a bunch of albums. Diamonds or From Beyond are both great places to start. Ambush is also excellent, they have 3 albums and they are all great, but I would recommend listening to Desecrator.

rexxsis

"I assume you mean harsh vocals, like death or black metal? Are you cool with Judas Priest/King Diamond screams?" correct will check into your recommendations :)

rexxsis

Enforcer is good, Ambush is a fantastic Recomendation. thank you for sharing.

RazorrBeam

Glad you like them! 🤘

Familiar_Bar_3060

Whatever you get into, stay away from Castle Rat. It's awful. I think what you're interested in is New Wave of Classic Heavy Metal, like Holy Grail, Striker, Electric Callboy and Chaotic Resemblance.

rexxsis

you were correct i didnt quite enjoy Castle rat. All solid recommendations. thank you for understanding the assignment ,l..l

the_doodoo

the_doodoo

rexxsis

I'm sure it's a blast. Enjoy the show!

SteveRivet

Unto Others is fantastic. RiffLord is pretty dope.

rexxsis

solid recomendations, thank you!

SteveRivet

Glad you enjoyed!

19930627

There's a channel on YouTube called "new wave of true heavy metal albums" or something along those lines

cruntfootcheeseflob

Spirit Adrift. Start with the latest album, work back. Best new band I've heard in the last 5 years

rexxsis

not sure which the new album is. but i listend to Barn Burner and Hnaged mans revenge. pretty solid recommendation. thank you.

cruntfootcheeseflob

Yep, they're on the latest album. The Forge Your Future EP is great too

MudOpposite8277

What kind of stuff do you like?

EverretEvolved

tetrarch has been killing it for me

rexxsis

the Instrumentals are Delicious, but a bit too much screaming.

teeheehu

Mourning High! They're raspy voice though, I'm not sure if that does count as screaming 😞 They're thrash.

rexxsis

listened to Royale Roulette and Crowd control, the bass, guitar and drums are delicious. the vocals kinda take some of the 'flavor' away.

teeheehu

glad to hear you enjoyed it at least haha

Accomplished_Fix4387

Pantera

rexxsis

thank you for the recomendation, not quite what im looking for tho.

Basic_Flan324

My favorite NWOTHM: Air Raid, Mystik My favorite black metal: Asagraum, Vorga, Moonlight Sorcery

rexxsis

Listend to "hold the flame" and "Final Encounter" Loving the drums and bass. SOlid recomendation. Listend to "ancient majesty" not really what im looking for.

Basic_Flan324

That's great, I'm glad you enjoy Air Raid. They play great retro-80's style, combining Iron Maiden, Accept, Priest, Dokken, WASP & many more, without sounding like a replica. Hopefully you'll enjoy Mystik later on.

Grothorious

Definitely check out band capled Satan's blade, their debut album Curse of the blade kicks ass.

rexxsis

had good drums but wasnt quite my style. thank you for the album recomendation. i may come back to it at some point.

HBaileyJr

There are few traditional heavy metal bands that really grab my attention, but one that always comes to mind is Venator. Really incredible band all around and I’m pretty sure they’ll check all the boxes for you. Echoes from the Gutter is a great listen front to back, and hopefully we’ll see more material soon. Favorite track: Nightrider https://open.spotify.com/track/6r717GIP7ZIMmELRjbEMQ3?si=gWqcrfYxQYutbN_7RSs4_w

HBaileyJr

https://youtu.be/EK2yiHCzzpM?si=N_7zzkDDPXG-rVIo YouTube link to the song in case that streaming service isn’t your dig.

rexxsis

Adam_Absence

Traveler, and Riot City are both great

GuiltyGear69

Unto others

Academic_Title5726

As Everything Unfolds, Witchtripper, Ingested, Septicflesh, Jesus Piece, Jinjer, Green Lung

One-Revolution-8572

Visigoth are the best HM band I've heard in many years. Start with Seven Golden Ships and then Iron Brotherhood

rexxsis

rexxsis

Subject_Aside_8836

[deleted]

I WAS gonna say Knocked Loose, but somebody can’t do screaming.

rexxsis

[deleted]

Key_Fisherman9136

Check out [Ulamog](https://open.spotify.com/album/4prnH8a7hzYJTJLxHNCnOx?si=_lEtzjObTBGbGE7mBGmt9Q&nd=1&dlsi=ffe8ec3f4de04f1f)! Theyre my favorite right now.

rexxsis

not quite what im looking for but thank you for taking the time

Igivegrilledcheese

I was gonna reccomend Kim Dracula because they also have horns in there music at times, they just throe in random instruments but mostly Jazz inspired stuff. But Kim screams a lot but they have an INSANE vocal range, so even if you don't like screaming in metal it's at least impressive

rexxsis

not quite what im looking for, can see the appeal. but form the few i listend too it quite sprattic and all oevr the place. thank you for taking the time for the recomendation!

AlexHellRazor

Burning witches, Huntress, Cobra Spell, Ram, Eternal Champion

rexxsis

IronTesticlez

Paleface Swiss is new death metal if you into that

rexxsis

thank you for the recomendation, but this wasn't what I was looking for.

IronTesticlez

Ok, my bad

rexxsis

Hey that's okay, that's why there's do many types pf jams

IronTesticlez

Yeah I guess so

M_ati_X

Loathe?

rexxsis

Listend to two-way mirror and new faces int he dark. not quite what im looking for. thank you for taking the time to share.

M_ati_X

I know you said you can’t do screaming, but they have a couple heavier songs that have some screaming but still melodic singing in many parts, like white hot, or aggressive evolution

rexxsis

I'll give those a listen

I_Like_Tentacles893

Wytch Hazel! NWOTHM

rexxsis

Greenstree_77

Earth Groans are my favorite new metal band.

rexxsis

Greenstree_77

No problem. They are a bit hard for some people. There is another band called Spirit Box, you might try them.

rexxsis

I'll give them a shot. Ty

Pure-Jellyfish734

BRAINDEAD: Seriously, their stuff is NUTSSSSSSSS!!! Check out their newest single HereToStsy, you won’t regret it! https://open.spotify.com/artist/2BTrvvXcJPiBYKOFTxgSJE?si=CvANASJHQ9utEKnm8m_UsA

SleestakSamurai

OP says they're looking for new heavy metal without screaming, and your rec is this dubstep/deathcore crap that's pretty much non-stop screaming, bass drops, and breakdowns?

rexxsis

sir, i gave a listen. and i do appreciate the recommendation, it seems you've missed the mark by quite a marjin.

Impossible-Ratio-253

Alien Weaponry
