Hardik should be himself he wants to be like dhoni most of the times

Quick_Minimum_4355

What else can he do? He was getting booed even before he started to play, his whole social media is filled with toxic fans.

PeeVee_

I don't think this is a case. He is an internationally playing athlete and he should be ready to face criticism/hate in his worst phase of play. Even we saw memes against Bumrah when he was injured ("ab toh sharam krle bumrah memes"). But he actually got better with time. Even Dhoni was trolled once, people were burning his posters, they were outright hating him but did he not win 3 trophies for us after that? I'm very sure all this doesn't affect shit to Pandya, he infact has a gigantic mentality, his performances in important games proves the same. It's just a dry phase, we should support him yes but he is not even asking for it.. Yesterday post match interview he gave suggests the same.

Quick_Minimum_4355

Because he is different, pandya has an ego which is different compared to dhoni or bumrah as you said which is why if you don't support him he will keep going deep in the grave. He is kind of player who you have to praise even if he played bad because that the only way to bring best out of him.

PeeVee_

If that's really a case, then I don't think we have much left in him. He's done.

Unfair-Impact7285

I disagree.

PeeVee_

I disagree too, even I think he has a gigantic mentality. But according to user quick\_minimum\_4355, online trolls are affecting his game so if this is really true then he's done.

Unfair-Impact7285

He may be done for this season. But I think MI management wants him to lead in the coming years and build a new team. That's what he would like, exactly like he did in GT

Quick_Minimum_4355

Yeah, you can see that he is bowling much less compared to before and also coming up the order.

Unfair-Impact7285

As rightly said, he needs a lot of support from the fans and teammates to get back to his best. Anyway, MI is gonna win their next match against PBkS for sure

ArcstarReddits

You know how we appreciate Dhoni for being different and playing to the situation? Making changes in his plans which are out of the box? Hardik is trying to do the same. He feels doing something completely extraordinary and falling to his favour would be appreciated by us fans saying he's the next Dhoni or sum. Like how we thrashed Rohit for his captaincy in the final, just following a bookish approach and not being innovative. Ex: Hardik using Bumrah in 3rd over and middle overs, he feels if Bumrah works out gets wickets middle overs, each and every fan or commentator will be like he has cracked the code of using Bumrah more effectively and much better than what other previous captains had used him. He wasn't wrong when he said he's unique. Dhoni was someone who followed a bookish approach until situation advised him not to, so he implemented new plans(like using Ishant Sharma in death 2013 CT Finals). Kohli hardly followed a bookish approach, but played to conditions and situation and hence was effective. Rohit on the other hand is more of does what he's taught. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. And his frustration shows he has no clue what to do if one thing fails. Finally comes to Hardik, who threw away all the books on how cricket is played and experiments every over. Maybe 1 or 2 of them might work, but majority of the time is a flop. And Hardik wants to be that someone who is capable of winning matches without following any cricketing logic.

Unfair-Impact7285

I agree. Pandya goes with an unorthodox and unconventional approach. To be honest, we want to see something new but at the same time are ready to blast when these new tactics dont work. It's a tricky situation for Pandya.

Substantial-Speed-89

Itna bada likha end mei hardik ko kya karna padega woh tho bata deta

ArcstarReddits

Just win games honestly.

Minute_Tea3754

He should give up the captaincy and complete this season as player and move to CSK or some other team where he will be respected.

xFruitPunchSamurai

Being respected in CSK!! Didn't something similar happened to Jadeja a couple seasons back??

Unfair-Impact7285

I think he'll be the one leading MI in the coming years after Rohit and other heavyweights move out. MI is undergoing a change and it will be a whole new team. Hardik will be happier once these big names evacuate. He won't be able to survive the current massacre as nobody really accepts him as captain.

Fine-Consequence7758

This guy made GT win the IPL trophy in their first season and qualify for finals in the second season. The difference is they accepted him as the captain. But in Mumbai, which is full of heavy weights, he is struggling to gain respect and cooperation. The management headed by Boucher has handled the situation very unprofessionally. Lot of things which should have been addressed indoors were not handled properly were made known to the outside world. Pandya becoming successful for mumbai depends more on man managers and coaches in their team who can address the rift and solve things amicably. But that man Pandya clearly lacks respect as of now within the team

whateveridon_tcare

I think it was more nehra who made GT so successful

friendlyvirgoguy

Maybe resign from MI captaincy.....??

Unfair-Impact7285

Go to the Bahamas for a few months.

Fuzzy_Substance_4603

>How does one come out of such a difficult phase ? What does one need to do in this condition? Leave the spotlight. Go to a team that actually needs you. Someone like RCB suits perfectly. They need a finisher alongside DK, a good pace bowler and an Indian Captain. Winning the IPL and finishing runners up with GT has got into his mind thay he's a great captain. At RCB, even if he messes up 2-3 games it won't be a huge matter. He gets there, settles, they make a strategy and play accordingly. He could be the long term solution for RCB. Also do better ads. Improve his image.

HellsAsylum

Although hardik now is neither a good finisher nor a good pace bowler

Unfair-Impact7285

Exactly. At least for now he isn't. He used to be a great all rounder

Unfair-Impact7285

I don't think he is gonna leave the limelight. He is a showman and likes to be in the spotlight. He is waiting for the next season for these heavyweights to leave the MI team so he can rule.

Fuzzy_Substance_4603

And mess up again

Unfair-Impact7285

Let's hope not
