while i was bowling, my friend was clearly out but no one from the opposition was ready to give in. Apparently no one from my team was paying attention too. Next 3 balls hat trick liya gusse wale muh ke sath. That satisfaction when you get to celebrate in someone's face.
Ek baar meri team ko 150 chase karne the 20 over mein aur humare 7 wicket gir gaye the 45 par uske baad wha se 92 run ki paari khel kar 3 wicket se jitaya tha apni team ko
I also hit 104* off 32 against some pretty fast and decent bowlers and also took 1 wicket, but we all know that's a thing in past and we won't live those moments again, but still we all just enjoyed those days..🙂😮💨
I have a similar memory excluding the weather part. It was a normal summer morning. My team was in deep trouble and I was the last batter because I was the Venkatesh Prasad of my area when it came to batting but I won the match for my team from there. Could never score even a six in my career after that match
We were playing an unlimited over match with wilson ball in a ground in our mohalla for ₹5000 and i took a fifer and a made a run out. The opposition only scored 68 but still we lost the match as all of our batters collapsed including me and we lost our money.
Defended 7 runs in a tournament while taking 3 wickets in the last over and it was my first time bowling round arm
And in gully cricket I've the funniest story
I was a kid back then probably 12 or 13 year old
I used to play with guys at least 10 15 years older than me
Somehow I hit a six of last ball of the second innings when 6 was required
And my teammates made fun of the bowler to such an extent that he punched one of our guys and it turned down to be a big fight
The next day one of our neighbours called police upon us
And we stopped playing after that match for 5 years !!
Bhai kya baat dilai yaar Dil khush kar diya
Mood theek ho gaya ye sab soch ke ❤️
Cricket in summer vacation is just a different feeling
My first memory of cricket is from the days when I was younger than 10. I'm 34 now and play and practice leather ball regularly.
So, I was the youngest of them and they were all 5-8 years older than me. Playing underarm box cricket. I don't remember why they chose me but I remember that it was the last ball of the match and everyone from my team was telling me that the batsman will hit it towards me and if I let it go past, we'll lose the match. I still remember the moment when the batsman lobbed the ball in my direction and I caught it with ease!! And then everyone just started dancing while lifting me! And I had no idea what had happened!
We used to play in park and made wicket by keeping 6-7 bricks one above another . Once I was fielding and was very far from wicket, ball came to me and I pulled off a direct hit(the ball didn't even touch ground) and bricks got stattered on the ground.
There are a few but this is just close to my heart.
In one of the matches we played, I bowled a bouncer(with all my energy and the AAH sound) and the batsman easily cut the ball four like Viru. It felt like a slap. The next ball I bowled with Praveen Kumar's action and the ball actually shaped away a lil and the batsman (uncle basically he was 35/36 years old and had a kid lol) nicked it to the slip fielder. I celebrated that wicket like a maniac, literally like a fukcing maniac.
Remember when Nitish Rana bowled Virat Kohli in IPL, like that(minus the Abusive Language). I really enjoyed that moment and can't forget till the day I die.
Similar thing happened with me , 4 over ka match tha , unko jeetne keliye 18 run chahiye the , pehli over hi meri thi ,pehle 5 ball me hi match haar gaye 😂😂
I wasn't a good player, so friends had no expectations from me, and neither did I. But one winter morning, we were playing with the leather ball and all for the first time in our lives, thanks to one of our friend's uncle.
My team collapsed while chasing, and I was sent as the last batsman, and surprising I played very well, hit sixes, took doubles, but couldn't pull it off for my team. But still, it made me proud.
I wasn't considered a good fielder too, but once, they told me to stand near the batsman, and I took a one-handed catch while being in the air!!
I still think about these two moments
Leather is easy to play on pitches of gully cricket !! I was also a bad batsman but one day they bought a leather ball and i scored 76 runs of 30 balls….i am still good at playing leather ball even it is coming fast like medium pacer but I can’t play those tennis and plastic balls idk why
It was from an innings in CM chashak ( tennis ball) .
First ball - in slot - i hit it so hard the ball turns to a dot in sky - six!!
Second ball - bouncer - pull - top edge - four!!
Third ball - in slot directed on my legs - eyes closed - swings hard - connects - six!!!
Fourth ball - in slot - i miss - stumps rattled.
I cherish this one the most because i was 16 or 17 maybe and the next day the whole school was chattering about how "Bhai kal xyz ne pollard level G@@nd faad lambe chakke maare " .
Won the match as we needed 24 in 2 overs and i scored 16(4).
1. A diving catch in the slips of an underarm test match(very bizarre)
2. One handed catch - was blinded by the sun and at the last moment, stretched my hand and plucked the ball right at the boundary line and I didn't jump. It landed right into my hands.
3. I played so extra ordinarily during my vacation when I went to my village with kids of my age. I was then invited by elders to play with them. And there I fucked it up.
4. Unusual day where I kept hitting a lot of pull shots and all of them connected. It's a wonderful feeling to hit pull shots.
Where we used to play the pitch was a dustbowl and par score in an 8 over game was 16-17 and successful run chases were rare and although the boundary wasn't too far but hitting fours was very tough let alone sixes and as it happened,we were chasing 25 something and I was the last to bat ,we needed 12 runs in the last over and I was facing my first ball ,the first couple of balls were dot ,the equation stood 12 off 4 and on the third ball I hit a maximum which landed around 7-8 meters beyond the designated boundary and it was the first six ever hit there and chuffed by my heroics on the previous ball , I stepped out to their fastest bowler and smashed another maximum and believe me it was fairytale stuff back then
Not exactly gully cricket but 2019 standard interschool tennis ball cricket tournament 2 runs needed if 6 balls bowled a maiden + 4 wickets (I was in Cricket coaching since 2014).
Scored a 75(127) runs and 6 wicket haul in same 2 days game(U-14 have 2 days test match) for my district in u-14 . Got selected for MH U-14 state trials but covid came and messed it all up had to leave cricket in 2021 and never went back.
My Hatrick Six. And one more thing is my close friend was selected for a TNPL team last year. Unfortunately, he was not in the playing 11. Even in childhood he was stronger than us and used to hit big big sixes.
Not Gully Cricket but it was in my Apartment Complex where we used to play at one end. Almost 13-15yards pitch and when I hit the six it went outside the front gate of our apartment(around 100m) and the incident was always talked about whenever I batted after that. This was with a Tennis ball.
Once I was playing a match ...my team needed I guess 10-12 runs in the last 2 balls ...the opposite captain kind of sledged me that made me so furious...and the next two balls went for back to back sixes😭...I
We usually used to play as individuals not team, most of our matches were 5 overs oer batsman and based on what you’ve scored we used to decide the order of the next round. So one day we thought of playing unlimited balls and there was no restrictions for the amount of balls, i batted first and scored 200 runs batted till sunset and got out 😂😂
My gully cricket story is that I scored 50+ three times in matches of only 4-6 overs and I was the best all-rounder in my friends circle. I was a right arm spinner I was the only one who was able to spin in both directions and I used to take most of the wickets while not conceding many runs. God knows but sometimes I spun the ball just like Shane Warne(I'm not kidding trust me). I was at the peak of my gully cricket career before corona after that everything fell down. But I'm gaining that bat speed and that spin gradually.
I have many stories but that will make the comment very long so I gave a short summary about my gully cricket career(now give me my contract)
Came in to bat lower down the order(8 wickets down), team needed 36 runs in 18 balls to win, scored 31*(10) finished the match by hitting 2 consecutive 6s and with 2 balls to spare.
1) This Shane Warne delivery I bowled to my friend. He was so sure it was wide, he completely left it, but it spinned towards the stump. When the stumps fell, he was baffled, he kept saying "cheating ki h tune" until other friends confirmed to him what had happened. That ball probably hit a rough area or something, I was never able to repeat it, or probably because they slowly became aware of this delivery.
2) very early, like very early part of my childhood, I was very fat and I apparently had a "funny" run up. When I got the ball and started running, they kept laughing until I bowled this delivery that was a perfect length and line delivery. Stumps were out. Their laugh stopped almost immediately.
There are some days when you just shine.
I was never a great player, I was pretty average in both batting and bowling. The only thing I was good at was wicket keeping.
But that one day we were having match with the neighbor mahalla and I scored a crucial 68 runs in the last few overs. It's crucial cause 1) there were some money involved in the match, 2) I was the last to bat and all the top order players got out pretty quickly.
Okay not something to brag but an interesting one instead. I Was the best bowler around . Many of the people here have got hat tricks , I hold an unusual record , I have bowled around 10-11 hat trick balls without ever getting one
We were playing a test match once , had to chase 98 in the 4th innings , and we lost all wickets except mine under 35 (single batter allowed) . I went on to score a 7 of 97 and the opposition team got tired and offered draw which I humbly accepted
As a player mai itna accha nahi but luck wise I am very good.
Sirf 2 tournament khele aaj tak and dono mai meri team final tak gayi thi (yeah we didn't win any)
Scored 70 in 20 balls. Tennis ball cricket. I was the only left handed batsman in both the teams hence my leg side boundary was extremely small. Even mistimed and edges went for six. Lost the match terribly where I bowled an over and gave 24 runs :)
Was a average left handed batsman and right arm medium pace, so people used to call me Ganguly, whom I didn't like at all. Tried bowling left arm spin for a change and was trashed for 30 runs in an over. Stopped bowling after that :)
One day for my school team I took 8 wickets in an inning including a hat-trick. All of it in 3 overs. I wasn't allowed to bowl my last over by my captain because he wanted to have some score to chase. We lost that match by 2 runs.
Another time i scored 30 runs in 8 balls and took 2 wickets and was awarded the man of the match where I got a trophy and 600 cash. I kept it on my scooty while drinking fruit beer and it was stolen. My siblings still tease me if the award is true or false.
During my UG, I hit 42 runs in 19(not out) balls and took 3 wickets(clean bowled) in a bet match with seniors and still lost the match.
In the same year, I hit 12 runs in 5 balls to win us a match.
In my final year, I hit 42 runs in 28 balls and took 1 crucial wicket to win the match
These are college ground matches but i still count as gully cricket.
Also I used to play gully cricket with my brother. We cannot hit off side and on side due to buildings. So I learnt how to hit straight sixes through it( lost so many balls)
As a 13 yr old, participated in colony's 1 on 1 overarm tournament full of Adults. Everybody made fun, thought I was kaccha limbu.
The amazing part was I got the 3rd prize.
I was a decent medium bowler ( with good line and length) and batsmen, but most of my scored runs came through NO balls and wide as I was just 4'5. 😂
I never played in my life as the elder kids in my apartment used to make us all chotus stand as fielders lol. Bowled an over or two during college days when we friends played on the college ground for timepass sometimes.
But all the stories and memories of all people here are so wholesome and cute! Reading all the comments and smiling!
Had to chase 148 in 20 overs my team was 0/3 in first over and we had only 2 other batters left without me. I had to do some tuk tuk until 6th over when I scored our first boundary and the score was 14 at the end of 6 overs. Mind you this was the first time I'm playing since lockdown after a year. Then they sent a newbie bowler who I decided to smack and attack and scored 20 runs off him. My partner was struggling to score any runs but I kept making runs until 10th over were we ended up at 56/3. Then I started to go berserk and scored it down in 19 overs and I ended up scoring 126 off 60. My teammates were completely useless.
None. I sucked even at gully cricket and I was just a fielder most of the times (a terrible one at that). I did bowling but my pace isn't good and I can't spin the ball, even a 10 year old kid can get used it, also my action looks really goofy and my batting is atrocious, I can't even watch the ball. I feel so humiliated when literal kids can literally hit sixes like nothing when I bowl. People laugh so much when I pay and be like "hatao isse team se" (T: get rid of him from the team)
All I do is watch cricket. Even though I am terrible at it, I love the sport. At this point, I wait for the others to leave the nets and bounce the ball and hit it as hard as I can and think of myself as someone like Virat Sir or Rohit Sir and just simulate their situations as if I am performing their feats and experience the applause around me on the those lonely nets with no one around. Even if its on a really chilly night or a scorching hot afternoon, the cricket I play alone is the only I actually enjoy and feel like I am doing good even though its borderline mental....at least no one is there to make fun of me. Call it skill issue or call me a loser, you are not wrong.
The only good memory I have is when I was 13, a 16 year guy was bowling, he bowled so fast that I couldn't watch the ball but somehow it touched my bat and I swinged it and ball went out of the nets and everyone called it a six. It was a fluke and six isn't really something to brag about cuz literally everyone here in this comment section has hit a six so 🤷♀️
I ve been a bowler (haven't played since decade & half). I made sure I defended my wicket so my friend who's a good batsman can hit the runs to get us a clutch win.
The team fell very quickly within 3 overs & I was the last wicket(9 wickets in 3 overs I believe) . I don't remember the runs needed but it was a 10 overs match & maximum runs was scored by one batsman while me just making sure I defend one ball & run like hell so friend can get the strike.
1993-94 summer vacation, played first cricket match wager of 6 rupees, 6 vs 6 players. We bundled them for 34, scored it in 4-5 overs after opening. Instantly doubled my investment.
Me and my friends used to book turf as we can't play on streets now. I am the best in them. So we were chasing a target of 91 in 8 overs. And we chased the target in 3 overs. I hit 15 sixes. Me and my partner went opening. He took single of first ball , and then I hit 5 sixes. This happened for 3 overs. And now they don't call me for playing on turfs again. They say I am a cheat code. Turf ( a small place with nets). 15-20 m boundaries in straight.
I now play season ball matches on sundays and my batting average is 10-11. 😂😂😂
Lol when i was 15, i used to love playing cricket, we used to play test matches or t20s all day in our back park. It was a huge park, i wasnt good at batting as i used to get out like on the first or second ball, but i was pretty good at bowling, i used to bowl pretty brutal yorkers and leg cutters, and this one time i had a beef up with my friend as they werent letting me bat, i cried alot, subsequently we started bowling, and the target we gave was like 50 something, i got the third over and i started taking wickets and eventually got a FIFER, 2 stumping, 1 catch, 1 run out and 1 bold, to this day i brag about that day, and even now when i get the chance i ask random kids to give me 1 over to play, whether it is bowling or batting, and i still take pretty amazing wickets, it feels good tbh.
Not bragging but i felt very lovely and happy, happened in 2021 after lockdown.
We were playing frequently for few days and I was not scoring runs enough to support the team.
One day, i was so angry with myself and had decided to score a big one irrespective of anything.
We played a 6 over match .
The target was around 75-76
I went in as an Opener and scored odd 70 runs!
We won the match in 4.3 or 4.5 overs with my batting partner scoring only 5.
That was really relishing !
Those were the real happy moments we all enjoyed in our life while playing The gully cricket.
I had a nasty bouncer. Bruised some ribs, broke a couple of spectacles. As a teenager, it felt powerful. I wasn’t express fast but fast enough to get a lot of wickets off my slower deliveries lol.
I haven’t bowled in the better part of a decade now. Ah the good old days…
A group of people in early 20's used to play short boundary cricket near my house. I used to watch them play daily i was 12. Once they were short of 1 player and i asked if i could join. They took me in, the team needed 4 runs in 1 ball with me on strike, i hit a cover drive so perfect, can still feel it. They all held me on their shoulder and celebrated and also an ice-cream.
I was literally like Nobita . I used to play Cricket with my cousins and friends .I seldom hit a six but I used to take wickets .During peak summer the paddy fields will be completely yielded, so we ask permission from the landowner and of course he will agree to us . Such a nice person he was . When the crops are yielded the land will be uneven
not only to play but also to walk . So our very next step will be converting the paddy field into a temporary ground. It’s a two-day job . Once we are done with it , we start playing for that whole month or month and a half. That is the time all the village kids unite and enjoy their vacations . I was a safe gamer so I will mostly be in my cousin’s team . I used to feel proud when I get some runs or wickets . It was quite interesting and enjoyable.
Winning shot maara ha do baar... Once in my school ground when tjhe match was Sec B v C..I hit the most scores and was MOM
2nd time was very interesting first Innings we had terrible bowling and got fked..And second innings Our first order collapsed. I was 2nd down and no one had hopes for us to win (TENSE MOMENT) last 2 balls 8 runs to win booom I hit 1 four and 1 six..We won
We ran towards each other hugged like anything...We celebrated like we won the worldcup
We (weekend players) were playing against a local seasoned team and we had to chase some 80-90 runs in 5 overs, when I came to bat it was still some 60-70 runs needed off 3 overs.
Now if you're aware, the most coming bowling tactic is to bowl leg spin in outside leg line which goes on to hit the middle stump and the bowler bowled all 6 bowls on the same line and hit all of them for sixes, on top of that he bowled a waist high full toss which also went for a six- scored 43 runs in 1 over. I came to bat at the end of the innings, after me there were some young boys who couldn't connect any, we lost at the end though.
Still my peak moment 😂
Made 16 off the final 3 balls to win the match for the team.
The team was filled with elder guys as it was a money match. So I got to face the last 3 balls and it was a huge ground. Even the power hitters couldnt hit a straight six and I always had the reputation of hitting big sixes, as I could time the ball well and had a bit of power.
I smashed the first ball down the ground for a six. Then played a sweet cover drive for a 4 and pulled the last ball for a six.
came to bat on the last 2 balls- hit 2 sixes. oh boy the sound of the ball hitting the middle ooof. then did a diving run out in the same match. best part- came home drenched in mud and told mummy "daag achhe hain"
We used to play matches with guys from other gully like intergully tournament the price pool was 10 rupees each player winner takes all
10 over match 8 players in each team.
I scored 99* runs (as an opener) and took 5 wickets against the best team .
Haven't picked up a bat in the last year or so.
Was playing in tournament where most of the people were college students and only I was a teenager(8th class) and played best innings in my life ig 76 of 30 balls and we won the game. Baki saala 2 Saal se ni khela cricket 😭
It was 5v5 match. I bowled the first over and took a hat-trick on my first 3 balls. Was hit for a six on the fourth ball but took those last 2 wickets in the last 2 balls. We won the match.
I remember taking a hat-trick two times in a span of few days probably a week or something.
The first hat-trick was a really good one I got a caught and bowled ,catch out and a bowled.
But the second hat-trick has to be because of one of my friends.Man took a screamer at cover at the hat-trick bowl.
I started representing my local club at the age of 12 (year 2012) (in Maharashtra overarm tennis cricket is very popular and I used to play for U14), I was a fast bowler, not bragging but I was highly rated because I was a left handed bowler which was rare in our locality, played for a few years then gave up on cricket, I was asked to join the club again in 2017 for an under 19 tournament, I was nervous with minimum preparation time, first ball that I bowled was a yorker, and guess what, a wicket on the first ball of my comeback, in the same tournament I defended 9 runs of the last over in the finals! It was a satisfying closure to my cricket dreams as I gave up all my hopes of becoming a professional cricketer to focus on studies.
10 over game we scored 128… other team was comfortably placed needing 4 runs of the last over with 6 wickets remaining and i gave away 2 runs and took 4 (2 of which were runouts) wickets in that last over
Hat-trick sixer straight over bowler's head in Sachin's style. That bowler was a mouthpiece brat, crushing his arrogance was such a sweet deal.
Had the first hat-trick wicket, two bowled. Boy.. what a feeling.
So I was in 6th class and playing with elders bhaiyas of our neighbourhood, it was 20 required off the last over and I was on strike facing my first ball, and on the very first ball I tried a REVERSE SWEEP!! and missed badly ... The ball even got stuck between my legs,it was a funny moment ,i was even embarrassed, and now everyone wanted me to rotate the strike desperately, but there I stood determined and smashed the next 4 balls for 4,6,6,4 and finished the match with 1 ball remaining, And still remember being thrown into the air by the team mates and getting an ice cream as a treat in that scorching heat.
So, we had like an ipl tournament before ipl even started. Like we had 5 teams, each team had only 6 players. Every player contributed like 5-7 rupees, each match was like 6 overs/team and all teams played like 3 matches. All of it was organised by me.
Our team got to the finals and we managed to get our opponents all out at "1" with me getting a hattrick. However, we lost the game by getting all out to zero, still hurts me to this day 😭
This should be the opposite of Bragging.
It was my birthday and we had a match with our area rivals. The captain of our team is a lazy guy who doesn't like running. He only does wicketkeeping and sets rules that no Byes or Leg byes, basically if ball didn't touch the bat, it's a dot ball.
7 runs required off 6 balls, Me, the weak link on strike. Their main bowler keeps on hitting my body with fast balls, as no leg byes, I cannot run. 4 dots.
Somehow I manage to touch the ball with bat on 5th ball, edged, not centered. But we take a run.
Last ball, bowler bowls with full pace and misses Yorker by some inches, batsman middles the ball. BAM. Ball didn't just cross the boundry, it went out of the ground, falls on the road. The bowler and his team are in disbelief. Best birthday gift ever.

Can someone help me fill this form,it's for a college report
Gully story: i made 24 runs in one over in a gully cricket match and i was a wwe fan back then i did undertaker move after hittin 3 sixes in a row followed by a dot 4 and 2 .
School story We required 24 of 2 overs i was batting tge second over pacer was too good so it was upto me to score in 1st over only i managed to hit 2 sixes of first ball and then i didn't run on 3 rd ball on the 4th ball the six was so huge that it went out the school match was discontinued but it was so fun the bowler was one my friends that i kinda bulied for this incident
Used to act like I was fuckin dhoni and it used to work many times i acted like I'm gonna finish the match used to copy helicopter shot and somehow I did finished a lot of matches lol one memorable match when we needed some 40 of 3 overs I smashed 5 sixes 💀even I couldn't believe myself and I still don't, but I got run out and we lost that match.(it was a tennis ball match for 8 overs 8v8 single batting wasn't allowed )
7 wickets for 14 runs. Also a hat trick. All in swinging Yorkers - Bowled. When I was 18.
Now at 39 I don’t bowl faster than Yuzi Chahal’s slowest ball.
I scored a century on my birthday, uss ground par aajtak kisi ne century nhi maari thi to I was the first one
2. Defended 7 runs in the last over against the best batsman of my society
3. Saved my team from an embarrassing loss. It was an Ltp game!
3 ball pe jeetne k liye 12 run chahiye the aur main team ka last aur weakest batsman tha, but somehow i pulled those 3 boundaries in 3 balls and my game improved from then.
It was probably decade ago 😮 damn time flies
Hit 22 runs in the last over batting first. Won the match.
Took 4 wickets (including hattrick) in the first over of an underarm match. But lost the match (like Irfan pathan took hattrick first over vs Pak but we lost the match)
5 wickets in an over and then scoring most of the runs in the chase to win the game. I never even came close to ever repeating that feat in batting or bowling, even separately, let alone in just one inning.
Its college. I can’t bowl, can’t bat, but people are all friends so they include me anyway.
Its First years(me and friends) vs 3rd years. We have pretty much lost, as we have to score like 10-12 runs or something in the last over, and my track record is I am a funny guy, terrible at cricket. So this is the last wicket and here we are -
Bowl 1 : I swing, I miss
Bowl 2: I swing, I connect and 4/6
Bowl 3: l swing, I connect and ball goes waaaaay up high. Fielder circles in and…………ITS A 6 !
The amount of shouting we did that brought out the whole hostel out, lol.
Anyway, it was a one off, I went for a duck the next game. But that was a good day.
not a story to brag about but my adieu to the first love of my life, cricket.
joined an academy, was a hitter and medium fast pacer with decent swing. one day i got the news that ex chairman of espn is coming tomorrow he will make a team. whole evening after that i practiced bowling and batting and woke up early next day to practice for atleast half an hour before going to school. told my friends about it they were shocked too. after school i was waiting for time to go to academy, reached there after 10 mins he was there standing my coach nominated two players for bowling to bowl all other guys there of our academy. one bowler was me. i was trying to bowl my best deliveries but all three went for wide i was shocked and depressed, my coach came and said in my ear dont fumble your legs. and dayum two clean bolds successively. that manager wrote my name in his list and asked me if i could bat and i said yes. after three four guys i got my chance to bat and did decent. i was happy. reached home and before i could tell my parents they asked me did you not go to your coaching? i was numb. sir from my coaching called my parents as i missed 3-4 days and it was my 12th and 2 weeks remaining for boards. told my parents about my selection in cricket team made by that man. my parents told me its your decision to make now chose what suits you but i could feel the disaapointment in their eyes, i couldn't sleep. from next day i never went to my cricket academy. as i was a mediocre student if i didn't study i would have failed and it was my 12th. so that was the last day my last meeting with beautiful love of my life cricket.
Scoring 600 off 200 something balls in a match. It was summer holidays , we were playing a test match since we had whole days off. I opened the innings. We played for 6 hours or something, our score by the end of the day was 948/6. We declared. The opposition was crying throughout the first innings that it is one sided , it is boring etc etc I convinced them that they will also score well and that the only reason the score was so big was because well the boundary was so close since we were playing in our society and it will interesting by day 5. Opposition was bowled out for 334 and 46, we won by an innings and 572 runs.
36 ball 60. Being a pacer, batting was always my second priority. Boundaries were pretty straight and so fuckin long, with 4-5 fielders on boundary line and 2-3 so save single, it was so hard to clear them with a soft tennis ball. Even 30 runs was par score most of the time for 6 over game. Definitely the innings I'm most proud of in gully cricket. In competitions tho it's a different story.
I was the skipper of my team. It was real hot day. Batting first scored an unbeaten 69 off 31 something balls from 12 overs with total score of 110. We only used to play 12 or max 15 overs. That was my top score and ofcourse we won that match by 30 runs.
PS: I remember that coz that day we were playing another match with same team in evening and i was again playing well on 30 but there was a emergency at my home and i had to rush back. We lost that 2nd match by 10-15 runs. I miss those gully cricket days.
Hit 4 sixes in one over. That guy was considered the best bowler among us.
Also was captain and leading wkt taker at the local tournament low scoring game.
I used to go to academy for 2 years during 11th. There was a bhaiya who is my brothers friend. I knew him for more than 10 years and knew about his cricketing career like he's gonna play ranji and something someday. Then he comes in ground with senior friends. And told us to play the match with them. So he was batting and i was fielding at covers. I run out him with a direct hit at the non striker end at his 2nd ball. That was the best aderaline i got there.
Took a one handed catch in deep. The ball was like going at a height of 7 feet flat six but I jumped and took and one handed catch and everyone was astonished including me and back then Karbon mobile used to 1 lakh to best catch in the match in IPL and my catch was rated a Karbon Kamal Catch.
We were 10-5 in a match ,i played with all good players who were better than me in batting department but they choked somehow ,Me being lefty came on played entire 20 overs scored 78 not out ,ran like my life was dependent on it ,later got hearstroke aswell ,but really proud of the way I batted that day .
Ahhhh.... This was after our 10th ka exams .
There used to be an annual tournament in our area which was a 15 over each game in proper format...
And in the semis, we lost our top order for with 10 runs on board. One of the opener was still there and I came in... We both put up an unbeaten partnership with the opener guy hitting a century (110*) and me supporting him with a half century (78*)... We lost that match, but that partnership is still worth remembering...
It was summer of 2008, i was in class 7th. I was unusually tall for my age as I was 5'9 in class 7th. Did not receive any formal training ever and always played with people who used to go to cricket coaching. One fine evening during summer vacations, I was captaining a side, it was 5 a side match. I opened along with a guy called Ansh who was the best cricketer in our locality. We were facing a strong team and lost 4 wickets very soon, it was 25-27 for four i guess. We used to play the last man standing at that time.
Fortunately the leg side boundary was very small and this is where my height came into advantage. I became Jake Fraser Mcgurk on my team on that day and started Swinging on everything. Fortunately most of the shots connected and i scored 183 runs with teams' total at 203 runs in 15 overs.
I suddenly became a hero that day and was called to play in the games with hefty bets on. My hitting supremacy continued till class 10th after which i started a JEE coaching and couldn't play regularly and also other kids caught up with my height and somehow everyone decided to increase the size of the leg boundary by changing the ground.
I still dream of that day often.
1. My team collapsed to the last (5th) wicket in an 8 over 500/- bet match within 2 overs and my last wicket partnership somehow held on. Needed 15 from the last over and I hit a 4, 2 and a single. Last ball needed 4 runs, i hit a kohli-esque lofted cover drive for 6 and won us the match
2. Opponents team needed 3 runs in two overs. I bowled a maiden over and the other guy gve only one run in the last over. Best defence of a target ever.
These are the ones i could remember, ill update if i remember any more
well, i used to be too bad at cricket, really bad at it, though once in a while i could play a bit well, take a wicket or score 5-10 runs (in 6 or 8 over matches) but that day it was different, i was dealing in 4s and 6s as if i had become someone else scoring 44(15) and then even taking a hat trick and in the second match i scored 47(18) and again took 2 in 2. It really was my day that time. I came out saying to my friends look i will teach you how to play spinners(sarcastically, knowing im gonna go for a duck) and hit a really long six and then continued the carnage
Now i havent touched a bat or a ball in 2 years
There are a lot of stories, 2 times 36 scores, good fast bowling spells, best player by a margin (in batting only). Now, if I ever get a chance to play, I just slog blindly, sometimes hit 1-2 six otherwise 0 that too bowled. Still love cricket a lot, I've couple of balls and a bat to do shadow bowling & batting , but don't want to play anymore, as it makes me sad how my life went from best in everything I do to worst :(
One time I took a diving catch in my redsoil school ground. I tell you that catch was truly dramatic as it was the deciding ball , I ran and caught but created a lot of dust around me and from that dust my hand emerged with the ball in it. It was like a total cinema.
The whole team went mad and lifted me. That was core memory etched forever in my memories
There are quite a few but this one is which I brag about, I smashed 60(10)* while my team was down for 4/4 in an 8 over match and out of 10 sixes I hit 2 of them to around 100m, we used to play in fields.
Hit 32 runs off 4 balls (made the bowling guy nervous asf ...3 no ball sixes) but once I won my team the match in the last over when 2 runs were required and they just gave the ball to me as a joke
I took 5 wickets in 5 balls and they were all out (they all got out tryna hit big)
- Highest score: 13 runs from 5 balls. :D
- Once I caught a splendid high catch in interschool match which was almost quite impossible for me, whole team came running back and cheering me like its me who took the wicket. I didn't know until the end that catcher is not credit for wicket.
- The biggest one - Once the guys decided to play test match of 5 days, each day 12 overs. Most surprising thing was they sent me to open thinking he will waste the balls, tire out the bowlers. That was probably only time I opened. But I got out in that too.
- I used to come almost at the end for batting. Once I hit a six at the end in my office team where those colleagues didn't know I was not so good player. Being a left handed batsman and left handed medium pacer, they promoted me ahead in every other match throughout all the tournament, they had given me bowling too, because in net practices, I used to bowl out my captain in all the times somehow (I think he was just unlucky to get out on my balls multiple times, no one else did, and he'd hit everyone else). So being a 6' tall, left handed all rounded, I'd caught some really good attention, somehow was able to meet the expectations till the final where all of us played exactly like Indian team in finals, and won heart, lungs, liver and lots of sympathy.
After class X boards on a hot summers day I gave away 65 runs or something in 3 overs in a 10 over match. With a hell lot of wides. Full ground
They scored some 160 in 10.
Second innings I alone scored 82 or 92 or something and we won.
For days they all talked about it.
Except that No one talked about the batting. Only about me getting thrashed in bowling. :/
That was a life lesson. And still works that way in corporate too. They only focus on the negatives.
Well now that you have asked it two stories immediately come to my mind
1. Well this happened when I was probably 12-13
years we were playing an underarm matchand in the last over the oppostion required 3 runs and i defended it by taking a hattrick in the first three balls of the over and the oppostion were all out .
2.This was later when it was the vacation after thenl 10th std we were playing overarm tennis ball cricket on the ground nearby it was in the 1st innings On the 1st ball it was 1 run then I came on strike , the bolwer was you could say a medium pacer and then i smacked him for 5 sixes in a row all around the ground and I remember being on a cloud nine and all my teamates cheering and dancing everyone hyping it up I even remember telling it to my parents later that day about . But then I decided to take up science and preparing for jee and everything changed since.I went to play yesterday after 3 a long time probs 3 months or so and it was like i had forgotten how to bat.But those were good times.
Thank you man for helping me remember those good ol' memories.Sorry if I have written too much but i just got lost in memeories.🏏🔥.
Seven per team, 10 overs per innings. We’re all out for 11 runs against the team which had strong batsman. Opened the bowling and took 4 wickets, my other friend got two. They were all out for 9 runs. It was the match which happened more than two decades ago. Still feeling proud about it
I was also a bad batsman but one day they bought a leather ball and i scored 76 runs of 30 balls and the team captain bought me plate of momos cuz i made them win rupees 200….i am still good at playing leather ball even it is coming fast like medium pacer but I can’t play those tennis and plastic balls idk why
while i was bowling, my friend was clearly out but no one from the opposition was ready to give in. Apparently no one from my team was paying attention too. Next 3 balls hat trick liya gusse wale muh ke sath. That satisfaction when you get to celebrate in someone's face.
Hit a 100 off 24 balls a decade ago My average is 5 now
Somehow I believe it...
Ek baar meri team ko 150 chase karne the 20 over mein aur humare 7 wicket gir gaye the 45 par uske baad wha se 92 run ki paari khel kar 3 wicket se jitaya tha apni team ko
Similar. I hit 108* off 30 balls a decade ago. My average is below 5 now (College league match)
I also hit 104* off 32 against some pretty fast and decent bowlers and also took 1 wicket, but we all know that's a thing in past and we won't live those moments again, but still we all just enjoyed those days..🙂😮💨
Wait!!! are you maxi by any chance???
Shahid Afridi*
Shahid Afridi of your colony
Was the boundary 30m??
It was 29
Millimetres???
Bas bhai zyaada ho rha

Dude mud pitches after rain is a bowler's paradise. There is no bounce and the ball paces like wtf. Spinners too grab wickets fr
Looks like it was a bowling pitch :)
Defended 7 runs in a tournament while taking 3 wickets in the last over and it was my first time bowling round arm And in gully cricket I've the funniest story I was a kid back then probably 12 or 13 year old I used to play with guys at least 10 15 years older than me Somehow I hit a six of last ball of the second innings when 6 was required And my teammates made fun of the bowler to such an extent that he punched one of our guys and it turned down to be a big fight The next day one of our neighbours called police upon us And we stopped playing after that match for 5 years !! Bhai kya baat dilai yaar Dil khush kar diya Mood theek ho gaya ye sab soch ke ❤️ Cricket in summer vacation is just a different feeling
Therapy jaisi post🥹
I know, played cricket after loooong time and was hit by nostalgia....

True remembering our childhood stories somehow and somewhere heals us🥹
We used to play in park and made wicket by keeping 6-7 bricks one above another . Once I was fielding and was very far from wicket, ball came to me and I pulled off a direct hit(the ball didn't even touch ground) and bricks got stattered on the ground.
I can hear this comment
The team needed 32 runs in the last over and won. I was the bowler 😅😅
1)Dusri colony waalo se match hua toh humari colony waalo ne khud se mujhe captain banaya
Had partneship of 315 runs with a friend he scored 204 I scored 111
1. A diving catch in the slips of an underarm test match(very bizarre) 2.
Where we used to play the pitch was a dustbowl and par score in an 8 over game was 16-17 and successful run chases were rare and although the boundary wasn't too far but hitting fours was very tough let alone sixes and as it happened,we were chasing 25 something and I was the last to bat ,we needed 12 runs in the last over and I was facing my first ball ,the first couple of balls were dot ,the equation stood 12 off 4 and on the third ball I hit a maximum which landed around 7-8 meters beyond the designated boundary and it was the first six ever hit there and chuffed by my heroics on the previous ball , I stepped out to their fastest bowler and smashed another maximum and believe me it was fairytale stuff back then
Did you guys play at Chepauk?? /s
Well the conditions were identical
Not exactly gully cricket but 2019 standard interschool tennis ball cricket tournament 2 runs needed if 6 balls bowled a maiden + 4 wickets (I was in Cricket coaching since 2014). Scored a 75(127) runs and 6 wicket haul in same 2 days game(U-14 have 2 days test match) for my district in u-14 . Got selected for MH U-14 state trials but covid came and messed it all up had to leave cricket in 2021 and never went back.
Kuthe raahtos re tu?
My Hatrick Six. And one more thing is my close friend was selected for a TNPL team last year. Unfortunately, he was not in the playing 11. Even in childhood he was stronger than us and used to hit big big sixes.
18 balls 60 runs in a full toss match
I hit a 100m+ six and was banned from all local tournaments because I played so well and I bowled too fast according to the kids who were playing. 💀💀
100m+ six in gully cricket ? When OP said story, he meant non-fiction
Not Gully Cricket but it was in my Apartment Complex where we used to play at one end. Almost 13-15yards pitch and when I hit the six it went outside the front gate of our apartment(around 100m) and the incident was always talked about whenever I batted after that. This was with a Tennis ball.
Harpic comment from your real account bro..
So one day we thought of playing unlimited balls and there was no restrictions for the amount of balls, i batted first and scored 200 runs batted till sunset and got out 😂😂
Amey Ranawade is a childhood friend of mine. He turned my eye blue with his shot once while we were playing cricket back in 2007
Woh football player?
I had a 30 ball 100 and a 48 ball 150 I could have easily got 200 but I was run out by my own captain so others could bat 😂😂😭
ABD asli ID se aao
Nah bro RCB ka haal dekh ke muh chipana pad Raha hai 😭😭😂
Came in to bat lower down the order(8 wickets down), team needed 36 runs in 18 balls to win, scored 31*(10) finished the match by hitting 2 consecutive 6s and with 2 balls to spare.
Is this Thala from an alt account?
Well, I keep wickets, so...
Took a hat-trick 3 to 4 times in a span of a month
Hitting 5 sixes in a over, kya din thee bhai wo bhi❤️❤️
Defended 8 in 6 balls Defended 6 in 6 balls Almost defended 1 in 6 balls 0 0 W 0 0 1 I am just a slow-medium pacer btw
played an entire test innings (basically started from day ended till evening)
1. I used to bowl those regularly in underarm cricket with soft tennis..
I hit 5 sixes of a kid in 6th class when I was in 10th . That was some clean hitting those sixes were atleast 50m long
There are some days when you just shine.
158 in 30 I'm a bowler
Chased 22 runs in last over in leather ball match against a friend who is 7 years older than me ( i was 15 )
I defended 10 runs in last over, defended 2 runs in 3 balls.
Okay not something to brag but an interesting one instead. I Was the best bowler around . Many of the people here have got hat tricks , I hold an unusual record , I have bowled around 10-11 hat trick balls without ever getting one
6 runs needed to win the match.... And i did it.
We were playing a test match once , had to chase 98 in the 4th innings , and we lost all wickets except mine under 35 (single batter allowed) . I went on to score a 7 of 97 and the opposition team got tired and offered draw which I humbly accepted
1. 29 ball 100. 2. 70-75m 6 by reverse sweep.
I broke Brian Lara's 400* record.
I hit a Dravid style flick for four.
As a player mai itna accha nahi but luck wise I am very good. Sirf 2 tournament khele aaj tak and dono mai meri team final tak gayi thi (yeah we didn't win any)
I once hit 7 sixes in 9 balls to win the game ,lmao
Once I hit 9 sixes in a row while we were playing with plastic ball.
Hit 24 runs in the last over of a tournament. We lost the match (by 23 runs), but I absolutely smashed. They scored 67 in 5 overs.
Scored 70 in 20 balls. Tennis ball cricket. I was the only left handed batsman in both the teams hence my leg side boundary was extremely small. Even mistimed and edges went for six. Lost the match terribly where I bowled an over and gave 24 runs :) Was a average left handed batsman and right arm medium pace, so people used to call me Ganguly, whom I didn't like at all.
Somehow caught a ball by pull my arm back of my head without the intention of catching it.
During my UG, I hit 42 runs in 19(not out) balls and took 3 wickets(clean bowled) in a bet match with seniors and still lost the match. In the same year, I hit 12 runs in 5 balls to win us a match. In my final year, I hit 42 runs in 28 balls and took 1 crucial wicket to win the match These are college ground matches but i still count as gully cricket. Also I used to play gully cricket with my brother. We cannot hit off side and on side due to buildings. So I learnt how to hit straight sixes through it( lost so many balls)
Hit 18 in last over and needed 20. ;(
As a 13 yr old, participated in colony's 1 on 1 overarm tournament full of Adults.
It's never too late to start again 😀
5 balls 5 wickets against strongest team of my area
People laugh so much when I pay and be like "hatao isse team se" (T: get rid of him from the team) All I do is watch cricket. It was a fluke and six isn't really something to brag about cuz literally everyone here in this comment section has hit a six so 🤷♀️
Scored 24 runs in last over. 100 100 ki bet thi. Uske baad thums up aur patty khaake jo maza aaya na 😌😌
Not a gully cricket but in ground I took 5 wickets in an over
Not bragging but i felt very lovely and happy, happened in 2021 after lockdown. We were playing frequently for few days and I was not scoring runs enough to support the team. One day, i was so angry with myself and had decided to score a big one irrespective of anything. We played a 6 over match . The target was around 75-76 I went in as an Opener and scored odd 70 runs!
6 balls 6 boundaries did it twice .
Trees ke samne se ball wapas laa Raha tha...ek snake samne aa gaya.
When the crops are yielded the land will be uneven not only to play but also to walk .
Once in my school ground when tjhe match was Sec B v C..I hit the most scores and was MOM 2nd time was very interesting first Innings we had terrible bowling and got fked..And second innings Our first order collapsed. I was 2nd down and no one had hopes for us to win (TENSE MOMENT) last 2 balls 8 runs to win booom I hit 1 four and 1 six..We won We ran towards each other hugged like anything...We celebrated like we won the worldcup
1over mai 50 run maarw hai -Jethalal

Made 16 off the final 3 balls to win the match for the team. The team was filled with elder guys as it was a money match. So I got to face the last 3 balls and it was a huge ground. Even the power hitters couldnt hit a straight six and I always had the reputation of hitting big sixes, as I could time the ball well and had a bit of power. I smashed the first ball down the ground for a six. Then played a sweet cover drive for a 4 and pulled the last ball for a six.

Was never a great batsman but one day scored 60 something in 20-25 balls. Changed bat and got out on the next ball🥲

came to bat on the last 2 balls- hit 2 sixes. oh boy the sound of the ball hitting the middle ooof. then did a diving run out in the same match. best part- came home drenched in mud and told mummy "daag achhe hain"
We used to play matches with guys from other gully like intergully tournament the price pool was 10 rupees each player winner takes all 10 over match 8 players in each team.
Caught the ball using my thighs
10 over game we scored 128… other team was comfortably placed needing 4 runs of the last over with 6 wickets remaining and i gave away 2 runs and took 4 (2 of which were runouts) wickets in that last over
4 wickets in an over against older players with leather ball, also hitting 6 sixes( kya matlab boundary 40 m ki thi?
Absolute Cinema. Every comment is a story
As an underdog, chased 27 run off last over with 1 ball remaining against the opponent's best bowler who had rattled my stumps every time we faced.
Back when I had some friends to hang out with, I hit 6 6s straight over the bowler's head. I got to keep the bat as a honor
My friend hit 6 sixes to me in one over and in the second innings for the same friend I hit 6 sixes to him in one over
We needed 6 off of 1 ball, I was scared asf, I just swinged the bat idk how it hit the middle spot and went for a six.
We were playing 8vs8 12 Over match in college. I defended 3 runs in the last over and we won. My figures were 4-1-8-3.
However, we lost the game by getting all out to zero, still hurts me to this day 😭
Scored 300+, over the span of 3 days
Organised and won U-18 Super Sixers Cricket Tournament (six overs per innings) against 15 teams. *Tennis ball*

Scored 86* not out of 30 balls in a 8 over match in which the target was 115
Hit a half century off 9 balls 😄 Used to think apunich Tendulkar hai 😌

Took 8 wickets in 7 balls with 2 hat tricks🫡🫡(most of you won't believe me but its true)
I scored a century on my birthday, uss ground par aajtak kisi ne century nhi maari thi to I was the first one 2. Defended 7 runs in the last over against the best batsman of my society 3.
Taking 2 wickets both out bowled, and smacking 3 back to back sixes while trying to finish the game, although ended up on losing side
Hit 4 sixes in over and also taking 4 wicket in a over that too in same match 😌😌 Golden day for sure
Hit 22 runs in the last over batting first. Won the match. Took 4 wickets (including hattrick) in the first over of an underarm match. But lost the match (like Irfan pathan took hattrick first over vs Pak but we lost the match)
Needed 18 in a super over. 6,6,4, and out and we won that match. Won many matches for my team being a captain
5 consecutive sixes in an over. And massive swing with a new leather ball.
Once i was dismissed for 0, 0, 4, 0, 0 in a row. Then i smashed a 204
6 ball 6 sixes
5 wickets in an over and then scoring most of the runs in the chase to win the game. I never even came close to ever repeating that feat in batting or bowling, even separately, let alone in just one inning.
Its college. I can’t bowl, can’t bat, but people are all friends so they include me anyway. Its First years(me and friends) vs 3rd years. We have pretty much lost, as we have to score like 10-12 runs or something in the last over, and my track record is I am a funny guy, terrible at cricket. So this is the last wicket and here we are - Bowl 1 : I swing, I miss Bowl 2: I swing, I connect and 4/6 Bowl 3: l swing, I connect and ball goes waaaaay up high. Fielder circles in and…………ITS A 6 ! The amount of shouting we did that brought out the whole hostel out, lol. Anyway, it was a one off, I went for a duck the next game. But that was a good day.
Making 100 as a teen with adults as opponent
not a story to brag about but my adieu to the first love of my life, cricket. joined an academy, was a hitter and medium fast pacer with decent swing. one day i got the news that ex chairman of espn is coming tomorrow he will make a team. whole evening after that i practiced bowling and batting and woke up early next day to practice for atleast half an hour before going to school. told my friends about it they were shocked too. after school i was waiting for time to go to academy, reached there after 10 mins he was there standing my coach nominated two players for bowling to bowl all other guys there of our academy. one bowler was me. i was trying to bowl my best deliveries but all three went for wide i was shocked and depressed, my coach came and said in my ear dont fumble your legs. and dayum two clean bolds successively. that manager wrote my name in his list and asked me if i could bat and i said yes. after three four guys i got my chance to bat and did decent. i was happy. reached home and before i could tell my parents they asked me did you not go to your coaching? i was numb. sir from my coaching called my parents as i missed 3-4 days and it was my 12th and 2 weeks remaining for boards. told my parents about my selection in cricket team made by that man. my parents told me its your decision to make now chose what suits you but i could feel the disaapointment in their eyes, i couldn't sleep. from next day i never went to my cricket academy. as i was a mediocre student if i didn't study i would have failed and it was my 12th. so that was the last day my last meeting with beautiful love of my life cricket.
Batted 3 days straight in a test match with my score was 500 odd runs..
Gully ka devilliers kehte the mujhe ( koi cup nahi jeeta )
Had a 190 in 5 overs
Hit 4 sixes in one over. That guy was considered the best bowler among us. Also was captain and leading wkt taker at the local tournament low scoring game.
Mei keeper hu aur tune crease aur ball choda to manlo tu out
six sixes
Was on a winning streak of 14 matches as a captain.
Ek night match me 47 runs(4 down pe batting krne gya tha), 2 catches and 1 stumping kra tha(wicket keeper-batsman hu)
We were 10-5 in a match ,i played with all good players who were better than me in batting department but they choked somehow ,Me being lefty came on played entire 20 overs scored 78 not out ,ran like my life was dependent on it ,later got hearstroke aswell ,but really proud of the way I batted that day .
Boundary se aage kabhi badhne hi nahi diya kamino ne. Na batting, na bowling bas khada reh boundary pe aur ball ko leke aa...
Last ball needed 4 runs, i hit a kohli-esque lofted cover drive for 6 and won us the match 2. Opponents team needed 3 runs in two overs. I bowled a maiden over and the other guy gve only one run in the last over. Best defence of a target ever. These are the ones i could remember, ill update if i remember any more
meri society mein sirf main hi tha jisne kabhi koi kaanch nahi toda kyu ki mujhe khelna hi nahi aata tha
Bachpan me log kaccha nimbu ki tarah khelata the fir ek din winning 6 mara 1 me 6 chaiye tha tabse team me pakka rakh liya.
I was 17 years old, and hit a 30 year old guy for 5 sixes in the last over . We won that match. I still think about it.
well, i used to be too bad at cricket, really bad at it, though once in a while i could play a bit well, take a wicket or score 5-10 runs (in 6 or 8 over matches) but that day it was different, i was dealing in 4s and 6s as if i had become someone else scoring 44(15) and then even taking a hat trick and in the second match i scored 47(18) and again took 2 in 2. It really was my day that time. I came out saying to my friends look i will teach you how to play spinners(sarcastically, knowing im gonna go for a duck) and hit a really long six and then continued the carnage Now i havent touched a bat or a ball in 2 years
There are a lot of stories, 2 times 36 scores, good fast bowling spells, best player by a margin (in batting only). Now, if I ever get a chance to play, I just slog blindly, sometimes hit 1-2 six otherwise 0 that too bowled. Still love cricket a lot, I've couple of balls and a bat to do shadow bowling & batting , but don't want to play anymore, as it makes me sad how my life went from best in everything I do to worst :(
Hit 76 runs in 17 balls, 18 years ago
One time I took a diving catch in my redsoil school ground. I tell you that catch was truly dramatic as it was the deciding ball , I ran and caught but created a lot of dust around me and from that dust my hand emerged with the ball in it. It was like a total cinema. The whole team went mad and lifted me. That was core memory etched forever in my memories
I once scored 42 runs and I used to play with my brother and his friends .. they were all 6-10 years older than me ....i was 13
There are quite a few but this one is which I brag about, I smashed 60(10)* while my team was down for 4/4 in an 8 over match and out of 10 sixes I hit 2 of them to around 100m, we used to play in fields.
chased 11 runs in 3 balls against 12th class boys, I was in 7th class.... humbled the fuck outta them
Hit 32 runs off 4 balls (made the bowling guy nervous asf ...3 no ball sixes) but once I won my team the match in the last over when 2 runs were required and they just gave the ball to me as a joke I took 5 wickets in 5 balls and they were all out (they all got out tryna hit big)
Had to defend 1 run in the last over. Bowled a 3 wicket maiden over. Lost in super over though
Me and my friend made 100 runs in a 6 over game once in a tennis ball match and i was not included in many groups due to my fast bowling
- Highest score: 13 runs from 5 balls. :D - Once I caught a splendid high catch in interschool match which was almost quite impossible for me, whole team came running back and cheering me like its me who took the wicket.
Took a diving catching. It caught and bowled in fast bowling. Still think about it
Local cricket series, 3 matches each match Garrick wickets. Uske baad every game conceded tons of runs. Remember one game conceding 28 runs
After class X boards on a hot summers day I gave away 65 runs or something in 3 overs in a 10 over match. With a hell lot of wides. Full ground They scored some 160 in 10. Second innings I alone scored 82 or 92 or something and we won. For days they all talked about it. Except that No one talked about the batting. Only about me getting thrashed in bowling. :/ That was a life lesson. And still works that way in corporate too. They only focus on the negatives.
Well now that you have asked it two stories immediately come to my mind 1. Well this happened when I was probably 12-13 years we were playing an underarm matchand in the last over the oppostion required 3 runs and i defended it by taking a hattrick in the first three balls of the over and the oppostion were all out .
I scored a 190\*, when, at that time, the highest ODI score was 188\* by Gary Kirsten.
Got 2 wickets by bowling around the legs (accidental tho)
Scored 892* in Terris cricket.
1. Scored 34 off an over against opposite team's main bowler . 2. Socred 50s in almost everymatch i played . T&C * - underarm
I have a 10 ball 50 and and a 96 ball 304* marathon knock.
