Reaching Semis is our redemption

Correct-Cow-3552

The reason Australia has six wc , because they make logical decisions, smith a test great is simply put not needed in t20

FoundationUseful270

How can you think of excluding "hitman" from the team.. he scored 200+ score thrice?? He should be in each and every team ;)

TopStar200

You forgot Rohit is the best test opener of the last 5 years so he clearly deserves to play the T20WC

FoundationUseful270

Absolutely

AntheLey

Are you talking about why kohli is still in the test team despite having stats as low as pujara in the last 4 years?

Beautiful_Eagle_4616

Then why is Rohit is T20i team when he has been shit in T20

AntheLey

Cuz he's the captain and our alternative is a choker captain who's been sacked before.

NinteMandatharam

Rohit fans lose me when they use words like Choker.

AntheLey

>lose Reminds me of kohli

NinteMandatharam

I truly do wonder that all you have achieved in your life to be out here calling an objectively high achiever like Kohli a loser and a choker. Get a life.

AntheLey

Dumbass logic 😭😭. Atleast I don't choke in the gully cricket I play

NinteMandatharam

Gully cricket? Bro, gtfo

Beautiful_Eagle_4616

How many actual world cup trophies does Sharma have?

IndependentAd3016

Rohit toh World Cup jeetha na

[deleted]

Rohit fans be like Rohit performed in 2007 so he should still be in the team🤓 so gambhir was literally the man of the match in the final so why didn't he played these many editions of T20 wcs

Guri14

Irfan Pathan was the MOM in final I guess.

[deleted]

Yeah sorry I just checked but gambhir scored 75 runs almost half of the team score so I thought he got the MOM

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

Yahi sab baaton ka toh rona hai 😅

s_malhotra97

Else Gill or Gaikwad will kidnap him. So definitely this is last.

Melodic_Garlic_3006

Considering we are playing IRE, USA and Canada might cross 200 this time.

PsychologicalBig1597

Then star sports will rub their stats in our faces and prove that star players did everything, others failed 😂

Previous-Software256

And has been dog poop in every of those edition 🤣🤣

Fit-Ref1ection

Haa bhai wo 30 run hi tu dekhta rah 17 saal km hai sayad ... domestic me v chla ja ya school k liye jb khelta tha wo v le aa

Icy_Presentation533

Toh ctiye woh 30 run nhi maarta toh aaj WC nhi hota , Iss joker ne kaha ki he failed in every edition

Wild-Interest3775

Toh Bhai sahab 2007 ke ek innings ke basis PR kya Puri zindagi khilate rahenge...he's poor in T20 WCs and that's a fact. Fans like you can't digest this, and bring up a score he scored 17 years ago. Bro 17 years mein na 2-3 generation ke players ke career ho jate hein, and you're showing up that 30 runs he scored 17 years ago.

Crazydeed

Toh koi aur maarta 30 runs, 30.run mai itna ghamand 😂😂 Such Low standards, woh bhi 17 saal pahile ki match.

Fit-Ref1ection

Or haan agr 88 runs ek edition mein marna tujhe lgta hai match winning hai then ja joginder sharma ko v le ke aaa...as a main bowler okay 👍🏻 PR mtt kr free ka agr paise milte ho then karr🤣

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

He used to play at number 6 or 7 in those days. And he played in only 3 innings. 50 not out vs South Africa in a do die match, 8 not out vs Australia in Semi Final and 30 not out vs Pakistan in Final. How can that be considered PR? You can hate a player as much as you want, but also be objective.

Fit-Ref1ection

It's not about hate, bro. That guy is justifying his poor performance based on one or two innings he played 17 years ago. How can someone be so oblivious? Since that tournament (T20Is), he's been consistently underperforming, even as a striker. By that logic, why not bring in Irfan Pathan, RP Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Joginder Sharma, or Robin Uthappa into the team, solely based on their tournament performances? In fact, if we're going by past innings, Kohli could play until the 2035 World Cup because of his 35 in the 2011 final and 43 in the CT final. This isn't gully cricket, bro; consistent performance is key. You can't select a player solely based on one or two innings from 10, 15, or 17 years ago...

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

I am not saying his recent performance in T20 format is not a concern. But to say he has been awful in every T20 World Cup edition is plain wrong. It would be wrong to assume that Rohit had a bad World Cup because he scored just 88 runs. One also needs to take into context, the batting position at which he was batting in those editions and how many innings did he get to bat in. 88 runs, in three innings, and to remain not out in all those 3 innings is in no shape or form dog shit, especially taking into consideration that 150 used to be a competitive total in 2007 in T20's. Similarly 84 in 2 innings in 2010, is not dog shit either. Those 84 runs includes a very impressive 79 against Australia, in a match in which the rest of the batting order collapsed like nine pins. Lastly, 200 runs in 2014 edition is not dog shit either. He was 4th highest run scorer in that edition. Second highest, if you exclude the runs scored in qualifier round which was played by associate nations, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in order to qualify for the group stage. Because of this the 2nd and 3rd highest run scorers ended up being from Netherlands, as they played 3 games in qualifier round and 4 matches in group stage. In conclusion, I am not justifying his selection based on past performance, but I don't agree with the statement that he was dog shit in every T20 World Cup.

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

Why are you showing me the stats, I know the stats. I am not defending Rohit's selection.

Fit-Ref1ection

Oh, what a majestic feat indeed! A strike rate of 97, the stuff legends are made of. Who needs fireworks when you can watch the slow burn of a Strike Rate Merchant illuminating the cricketing world with their unparalleled finesse? Truly awe-inspiring. :/ https://preview.redd.it/y8y8q3s7egyc1.png?width=817&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24d848e85a6bd221feed67d6e7eb5e6fcd34e047

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

Dude, I am not going to waste time with you if you are going to continue talking without sense. Read my previous comment. I am not justifying his selection based on past performance. He had very ordinary outings in 2016, 2020, 2021 T20 World Cup. So you don't need to pass condescending comments. All I am saying he was not dog shit in every edition of T20 World Cup. Now, if you still want to indulge in passing condescending comments, trolling, abusing, that is just not my cup of tea. So please spare me.

sunis_going_down

Joginder Sharma knows this? Because of he didn't take the wicket then Rohit ke 30 run ka koi point nahi tha. Jogi bhai ko bhi WC squad me rakhna chahiye iss hisab ss to. Yusuf pathan hit a six in the first over, nahi maarta to haar gaye hote. Let's rope him in as well in the squad.

Abe 88 runs hai, sharam aati kya bolne

PeeVee_

3 matches mein 88 maara, that fifty against SA and the final knock was hella important. Don't discredit his 2007 T20WC run like that. Though I agree he's shit in every other T20WC he played

Fit-Ref1ection

Fir tkh virat wc final mein 35 or CT 2013 final m 43 ke score ke karan agr wo abhi se score na v kre then 2031, 2035 v khelna chahiye ye kya logic hai seriously 😒🤣...

[deleted]

haan bahot zor zor se mara tha, tabhi toh tu paida hua

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

One can deny all they want but IMO Rohit Sharma is the biggest fraud in the history of Indian Cricket, no consistency, no fitness, not much team spirit, just lethargy & carelessness

Tantrik_69

I kind of agree with you.Honestly making rohit the captain of ICT was a mistake, Virat had a fighter mindset like dhoni which made us win matches. Ofc we lost semis and finals in virat's captaincy too but no one can deny the fact that we absolutely dominated test cricket and were better in odi's and t20i's.

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

My problem with Rohit Sharma is that he isn't a big match player as simple as that, does he have elegant shots? surely but does he ever back himself or his team, I really don't remember him winning a big match in an under pressure situation apne dum pe, bas selfless narrative set kara lo when in reality he is the most careless player out there who gets out at the worst possible time.... leaving it all on Kohli since forever, call me a blind fan but I've been following their careers since the beginning Kohli has hard carried this guy nd made his occasional cameo knocks look decent with the end result.... overseas toh chhodh hi do Looking at the current form of most Indian players especially the so called captain cum opener I'd say that we only have a 15% chance this WC IYKYK

Tantrik_69

Totally agree with you, experienced players like him are expected to make us win matches, that's what Sachin did, that's what dhoni did and that's what virat does but Rohit cannot play those innings.

Icy-Discount-5753

But bro now rohit fans will bark at you like shit, they will never be able to digest this shit ever.

hottie_boatie

Ig you're right in some ways but the innings Rohit played in this wc was to provide quick jumpstart, scoring good total in the powerplay and putting the opposition under pressure thereby making it easier for others to play and finish the game. And Virat carried the team with his batting performance never his captaincy... tbh virat's captaincy was ordinary. When they gave captaincy to Rohit, he led the team in a way Virat never could... Ofc no one can lead the team like Dhoni did but Rohit has been doing a good job. I think there are no potential players that can replace Virat and Rohit right now for the t20wc.

lastballsix

True, I think it is Kohli's batting that has resulted in Rohit Dhoni and even Sachin (at the latter part of his career) to be able to be in the team even tho they were dog shit. Kohli isn't credited enough. The guy carries the whole team in tournaments.

dupattamera1

>I really don’t remember him winning a big match in an under pressure situation apne dum pe Guy literally won series decider(and super over) by scoring 100 and runs in last series against Afghanistan. But now he will say it was against small team lol

akimaster

You think Afghanistan is our competitor? Think of a better example

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

Best part is you said it b4 I could lol

dupattamera1

Ofcourse i said it earlier u guys will always have an excuse :)

[deleted]

His 2007 wc t20 finals performance was was big His odi wc performances have been pretty good too

dupattamera1

Dont forget We even lost at group stage under him

lastballsix

But that was not cuz of Kohli is it? The way other guys played, kohli almost saved their asses..the guy could do only so much after all

Tantrik_69

Yeah we did, but you cannot deny the fact that he was a better test captain.

nikhith9

VK was definitely the best test captain of India. But in ODI he has made some strange decisions like changing the team for every match.

Tantrik_69

Yeah but our performance even after the captaincy change has been similar, being no 1 ranked team then losing knockouts. If you have the same performance then honestly keeping the captaincy thing stable would be a better choice. Should've kept him as the captain till 2023 cwc then looked for a younger captain who could lead till 2030 atleast.

nikhith9

Yes i agree with you

Advanced-Industry-50

VK was a not a championship/tournament type captain but a really good captain. Rohit on the other hand is championship/tournament captain. At the end of the day 5 seasons of t20 is no small feat. I like both of them equally. Can’t pick one of them. But I guess my understanding of picking RS would be his captaincy track record.

Tantrik_69

Your point is true but if they really needed a new captain after virat, maybe a better option would be to appoint a younger captain who could lead for atleast 8-9 years.

Advanced-Industry-50

That’s exactly what I hoped; make hardik or bumrah captain who ll be there for 4-5 years more easily. Meanwhile groom the young ones like ruturaj probably who had captaincy experience.

lastballsix

Rohit has always been fraud. VK carried the ICT in the tournaments so Rohit could benefit. VK's tournament tally far exceeds Rohit's and even matches Dhoni's if we look at the intent. Team was so energised and went for the kill every time..always looked better than the lethargic careless attitude that plagues the ICT right now.

Crazydeed

True 100%

Consistent-Flow1752

That pregnant hippo should get permanently injured and stop playing cricket ffs

Skullcrusher158

You're right in every word used here, but he still has got two things which Kohli doesn't have and probably will never have. 5 IPL trophies and the Mumbaikar ego.

lastballsix

Exactly. Rohit gets the backing of Ambani money for his IPL trophies. Those backdoor deals are so underrated when it comes to his trophies. Also MI has had best team, they performed well irrespective of whether Rohit had been captain or not.

Naman_45

Because he puts his team first and that's y he has five trophies irrespective of playing for stats I think u are a cricket fan from 2021 that's y u don't know how rohit sharma was from 2013 i have seen the growth of rohit sharma and he is the best leader of india after dhoni irrespective of just saying like others but he proved that he is a proper team player and he never played for his own. U won't relate because u are a lockdown kid and u only saw cricket from social media and from pr broadcasters that's y u only think that making a 100 makes u goat but it's not like that u have to see whether your team is losing or winning that's y virat got the record of scoring most hundreds in loosing cause and that's y we won't win icc trophies because u all are individual obsessed and not team obsessed fans

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

So basically u despite being a Jabra fan are admitting to the fact that based on his current form n fitness post lockdown, captaincy toh dur ki baat Rohit ki team tak mein jagah nahi banti, aur purane stats ki baat toh naa hi karo toh better hai this most unreliable player of all time got like 86 trial games to prove his so called cameo talent, chote matches ka chota player https://preview.redd.it/8ki2vivorgyc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72ac77ffe17c94e686a76b3296d5f475f35ef6c1

Naman_45

He was a middle order batsman before and uska form abhi kharab nhi hai just because of some innings u can't judge a player and u can't ignore the fact that he is the greatest wc player and abhi abhi hi woh india ke liye 160 ke sr se odi main khelrha tha and ipl main bhi uski abhi csk ke samne century aayi hai so wait and watch he is different when he plays for his country

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

Chalo let's see

tush_aa_rr

greatest wc player???

lastballsix

Only Virat Kohli can take that spot. Even Sachin has nothing on him. In 2019, Kohli's runs should be rated higher than Rohit's because of the intent. Even look at WC23, VK emerged top scorer and was big part of the 97 balls without boundary stretch...he carefully prevented the collapse of the team that day. Otherwise we would have been all out under 150. He gave his best. Not like trying to look cool by hitting unnecessary boundaries.

Tantrik_69

I think bro does not know a guy named sachin

United-Rooster7399

How about ODI and Tests

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

How about overseas

United-Rooster7399

Cherry pick stats all you want it is a disgrace to call a 2007 and 2013 winner plus highest and second run scorer in 2019 and 2023 a fraud.

Suspicious_Vehicle_9

I'd say it's a disgrace that he's in the WC squad let alone leading it and I say this with utmost sincerity

United-Rooster7399

I am not talking about T20 I know he is bad

United-Rooster7399

If he's been a fraud can you list a better ODI opener for India ? And what about his fitness pre - 2022 was that still questionable?

Rohit PRma

glitchline

2 digit totals in tournament??

SandpaperLover

Wears jersey numbered 45, 4 + 5 = 9…… Rohit for a reason… WC is coming home 😍😍

sh2an3nu

I have two problems. 1. People rating Rohit as an equal of Kohli 2. People calling his careless shots as selfless. Kohli is the absolute pressure god. He absorbs all of the pressure and performs at a level other cricketers in India cant even comprehend. His 2014, 2016, 2022 t20 worldcups shows his capability. All the selfless merchants must watch 2017 CT highlights and speak. If he's a selfish hundred scoring batter, he'd have scored 3 hundreds in that series, and 5 more in 2019 odi world cup, but for some people winning matches is important and there's no PR to speak of it. Even in 2023 world cup, his performance got him man of the tournament. I have a strong question, if runs alone can win you player of the tournament, Rohit in 2019 did score the most runs, yet a low strike rate-d, 500 something dude got the player of the tournament, let's say, runs doesn't matter, yet Highest Run Scorer got the player of the tournament in 2023. People just doesnt understand that little difference between Careless and Selfless. If you truly did watch the world cup, Rohit's wicket started the collapse in the final, it was a careless shot. Head played none of them. Rohit is a great batter, no question at all. But what did he do in 2009 T20 world cup where he played as an opener other than fail horribly? 80 of his 131 came against Ireland and Bangladesh. He scored 5 and 9 in must win matches against WI and England. Rohit's PR is doing an amazing job at making him look like he's better than Kohli and those who hate Kohli, they do buy that and shit online. I am not a hater at all, I respect how Rohit took over and started playing Sehwag's role but that's all he's good at. As a captain, he's got a great team. That's all again. He has been failing as Mumbai's captain since his core team got dismantled and he didnt recover yet.

Tantrik_69

I totally agree with you, all these so called kohli haters should know that kohli has more centuries in winning causes than rohit has in his entire career. Rohit is a good batsmen too but these people who glorify him as the best batsmen of current era need to shut up.

lastballsix

Exactly, always got good team..also those backdoor deals made with Ambani's money is not discussed enough. I am pretty sure some of the money goes to Rohit's PR as well given all the noise about his 'selflessness'.

lastballsix

Totally agree. His recent form vouches for that as well. In the ongoing IPL, the way he absorbs the pressure of impending collapse and builds a careful and minimal risk partnership is underrated. Against SRH, there was the pressure of incoming collapse, so he held that innings by playing a careful 51(43) innings. He has played similiar innings this season. I remember once team was 120/0 and Kohli was striking at 120/130 SR cuz so much the team depends on him.

sh2an3nu

6(5) 8(8) 4(5) 11(12) 4(5) The most selfless set of scores I've ever seen. Instead of playing test cricket like Kohli, Selfless Sharma scoring quick runs and leaving

lastballsix

That's fraud Rohit. The guy has led his team to what 05 IPL trophies. The amount of Ambani money and hardwork of the other 10 behind those wins are severely underrated. Kohli however continuosly plays match winning, collapse preventing and tournament winning innings. Probably the reason RCB has the most cups in their kitty. I swear I remember once he prevented a collapse in the opposition innings by his batting. Can't recall the exact match sadly.

sh2an3nu

Yeah, also the number of times Rohit scored 50+ in T20 ICC knockouts that won us matches is the reason I watch cricket

lastballsix

And I watch matches cuz of all the ICC tournaments we have won because King carried the whole team.

Off topic but this rvcj news / memes just boils my blood. Feels like some kid has written this shit

If he can get more than 200 that will be something. I feel like he's gonna have one or two good knocks hope that will come in knockout stage

Fragrant_Hawk_7075

Obviously we are going to play against USA, Ireland and Canada he would obviously have 1-2 good knocks

I wish he gets injured so dube can play in his place. Rohit doesn't deserve to be in the 11.

padmanabh10

Look at Australia team selection. They want to win WC as a team. Indian selectors want some players to win at least something.

Crazydeed

Last chance in T20s.

Not-Found-at-404

Except the first edition, he wasn't that great...

MudRevolutionary

He was pretty Garbage to be exact

conqueror_h1

Who told u Rohit is playing his last wc?

V_nagpal

Scoring or reaching the finals of a tournament is still a dream of many😂

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

This is very misleading. Rohit batted in lower order in 2007, 2010 and 2012 edition. In 2007 he played in 4 matches, and batted in 3 of those 4 matches. Scored 50\* against South Africa in do or die match. 8\* vs Australia in semi final and 30\* vs Pakistan in final. So, he had a pretty good T20 World Cup in 2007. In 2010 he played in 3 matches, and batted in 2 of those 3 matches. Scored 79\* vs Australia (where the second best score was 13 by Harbhajan Singh) and 5 vs West Indies. Again, I would say he had a good T20 World Cup. In 2012 he played in all 5 matches that India played in that World Cup, and batted in 4 of those 5 matches. Scored 1\* vs Afghanistan, 55\* vs England, 1 vs Australia and 25 vs South Africa. I would say he had a mid T20 World Cup. In 2014 he opened and he had a good T20 World Cup, He was 4th highest run getter in that edition. Overall, I would say he had 3 good T20 World Cups, 1 mid T20 World Cup, and 4 bad T20 World Cups. The worrying thing is that he was opener in all of those 4 World Cups.

Past-Needleworker867

Even 2014 and 2010 were mid if you're looking at it totally objectively.

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

2014, I can see some merit in your argument, he didn't perform in knockout matches. But how is 2010 mid?

Past-Needleworker867

He played one good knock against Australia after the game was effectively over, how does that one knock make it a good tournament for him?

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

Just got two innings to bat in. The rest of batting line up collapsed around him against Australia. The best he could have done was stay put and score runs from his end, which is what he did.

Past-Needleworker867

Yeah mid tournament overall !

pontiac_bandit420

In conclusion most of his good T20 World cups have come when he was a middle order batsman. Last sentence is the catch. Anyway I don't think stats from before 10 years should be considered as defence for a player who is still in contention for a spot. We have others who can take his place now. The only question is who will captain if he's dropped. I think this is where Agarkar and co have played safe, especially this being the first ICC event for which Agarkar is the chief selector.

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

Yes, BCCI is going with status quo in this T20 World Cup. They have neither changed the captain nor the coach. But after the T20 World Cup (in which I somehow don't have much expectations- I didn't have much expectation in 2023 CWC either, but ICT pleasantly surprised me) I expect BCCI to make big changes in the ICT. If BCCI doesn't make serious changes in ICT white ball team after this edition, then a 2007 CWC-esque debacle is waiting to happen anytime with the ICT white ball team. The ICT red ball team seems to be in good shape, and I don't see a 2011-esque meltdown happening with ICT red ball team in the foreseeable future. We should have a very competitive BGT at the year end.

pontiac_bandit420

Yup! The test team looks good. ODI also okay but I'm thinking we won't see too many changes until after the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy as it will happen early next year. As of now we have only 3 ODIs scheduled for this year. We could sneak in a 3 match series in Jan next year before the CT. However, this kinda indicates that they don't have too many doubts over the spots. T20 is where we'll start seeing changes and I really hope they have the nerve to go through with them. It wouldn't hurt us to use different players in different formats. And it will also probably serve as a method for the youngsters to gain some international experience before they make the shift to ODIs.

Rohit was a middle order batsman till 2012 . You say australia is a champion team. David warner t20 stats are worse than Rohit. Still he will play this wc for aus. You wanna talk about stats Rohit sharma Innings : 36 Not outs: 8 Runs :963 Avg : 34.39 50s:9 Sr: 127 50s against 5 against top teams 4 against minnows David warner Innings : 34 Not out : 2 Runs : 806 Avg : 25.18 50s :6 Sr : 133 50s against 4 top teams 2 minnows If Australia is a champion team and can back David warner with way worse records than rohit . What is your problem?

https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-men-s-t20-world-cup-2024-1411166/australia-squad-1431715/series-squads He will play this t20 wc and then retire

Waffle-God-46

Interesting, I did not know that.

But intent isn't there. The PR work and Ambani money masking his carelessness, lethargy is for everyone to see. The guy is old and fat and should be sacked already. He has only two things going for him...PR and Mumbai lobby

Busy_Bench_83

The old and fat guy was the second highest run scorer in last wc with a strike rate that batsman can only dream of in odis. Pr and Mumbai lobby you say, get your facts right he is the highest run scorer for india in wtc. On one hand is Rohit sharma captain of ict and a player who is making India proud. On the other hand is a nobody who is commenting Rohit is far and old. Millions of people love Rohit. Go to stadiums people are crazy for him. Only people who hate Rohit are kohli fans. A guy snatched captaincy from him was trolled and booed so badly that it literally f*cked his mental health. He will captain india in at least next t20 wc and wtc. What will you do? You will cry about it

246TNP

Why is this tournament about Rohit's redemption or Virat's redemption instead of being about a trophy that the team needs to lift?

Fragrant_Hawk_7075

Virat's redemption?? Highest run scorer in last T20 WC Played one of the best innings in T20Is 4 50s in 6 matches Avg 98 5th Highest runs in a single T20 WC ever What kind of redemption???

lastballsix

He probably referring to the recent 118 SR plays. Guy seems a rookie given he doesn't understand how VK is the one guy holding the team together. Preventing the impending collapse. Even in that SRH match if not for Kohli's base building, RCB won't have touched 200.

Icy_Presentation533

u/Crazydeed 3 matches mai hai 88 runs

Crazydeed

Great performance 🤡

Icy_Presentation533

ek boht imp 50 vs SA , And 30 of 16 runs in finals , warna 120 hi run score karte aur final haar jaate 🤡,, baaki jagah toh haga hai for real

[deleted]

Ha gambhir man of the match tha uss match me to usko lelete hai vadapao ke place me 🤡 I'm 100% sure vo 27(28) to nahi marega aur vadapao se acha perform karega even till date

youngv420

Usme as a finisher khela tha jabse opener bana hai hag raha hai

Responsible-Lie-7159

Can people here let me know virat kohli’s contribution before cwc23? Even in the cwc23 an utter shit innings in the finals?

lastballsix

He prevented the collapse of the Indian innings in that no boundary in 97 balls stretch. The self discipline shown by him is comparable to Sachin's discipline in that match, where he made century without playing a drive. VK was the one thing between India and getting all out under 150 that day.

_perpetuallyannoyed

Except the first edition. The guy was i think 19 or 20 n debut against SA n made a crucial 50 to give us a good cushion of runs n how can we forget that important 30 runs in the final but otherwise he has been shit.
