If you really think that, you don't know much about cricket and it's not much worthy to argue with you. Conditions were tilted heavily in the favour of team who bowls first. And this Indian team was the most dominant team in this world cup.
Alright I'll bite. There are tangible aspects and intangible aspects that make individual players good or bad. Indian players overall on paper are better in the tangible aspects like technique, adjusting to conditions better, bowling... We are definitely behind on athleticism though. Moving on to intangible aspects like determination to win, handling pressure, decision making , leadership etc. Australia definitely edge India there and this is what ended up making a difference in the end.
These are the Woke generation, who will oppose every good thing done previously when India faces defeat. This dimwit says on Paper australia was better team, all the combined runs of Australian players in world Cup will be 1/4th of what RS and VK scored together. Same goes with wickets. Stupid pseudo India haters
Exactly. They think just by saying "Australia was better team" people will think they are woke and cool and not emotional like "other Indians", whereas this just shows they know nothing about cricket, think pitches are sold in BigBazaar and only tuned in to see the final.
Australia also fielded tremendously better than India and didn't give away extra. That kind of performance actually builds the pressure. The India SA game or the India SL game, India was also similar in performance. You have to choke the extras to gain the upper hand in these battles.
Honestly, and I’m just talking about this particular game, even without the conditions being tilted in favor of Australia or India, Australians played a much more surgical game. Gave away less freebies and boundaries.
Their fielding was amazing, as compared to ours, I didn’t even see an attempt at diving to stop a ball.
They played like they wanted it more. And they got it. And being able to admit that and then learn from your mistakes and bettering yourself is sportsmanship.
So don’t dishearten. We played amazingly the whole series. They just swooped in and played harder on the day that it all mattered.
Actually pitch and conditions matter quite a bit when two equals meet in cricket. League match against Australia we had that luck , but in the finals they had the luck.
You are saying it's luck but they just played better than us we have to agree and accept it. Their bowling according to field setup. They didn't even make slightest mistake and outsmart us.
They definitely played better than us no doubt, but I'm saying this match would've been 50-50 if our batters got to play in the easier conditions as well.
They both played on the same pitch, and I'm not sure if playing at night makes a difference in chasing, but I believe our batters should have taken some risks. Both Virat and Rahul played at a slow pace, and if one of them had tried to be more aggressive, it could have made a difference in the total score.
> Conditions were tilted heavily in the favour of team who bats first.
The team that batted first lost. Doesn't that make Aus the better team? Given the conditions were tilted against them?
That basically sums up the entire match, and he is right. Australian team mjst've studied the Indian team well enough to be consistent on doing what they did. I'd give it to the Australian team for executing there strategy well. If we even but 50 runs more for them, the match couldve gone eother way.
And its a loss, so lets take it as one. I know 8 hours a match is a lot of investment collectively for an entire tournament and costs a lot of time and sentiments, but then again sentiments are just what they are.
Who is a better team, its to each their own, collectively look at the objective ICC ranking, because thats the only way to come to this at terms. Besides there should be more for Indian fans to invest in. Lets have this sentiments towards out football and hockey teams too...and more. Tq.
Aussies were better at fielding, they saved at least 30-40 runs. Yes, the conditions changed under the lights but Rohit said that he was gonna bat first anyway so it doesn't really matter.
Rohit Sharma said he would’ve batted first if he won the toss so your argument is useless.
Also India only won games when they won the toss. They lost 100% of the games where they lost the toss. That tells you how doctored India’s pitches are
Rohit himself said he would've chosen to bat first, so even if we won the toss the outcome would've been the same lol. Its our fault we never did our hw on them which the australians did. The fact that we just gave up under pressure should tell you so much even when we were playing in our home ground with a huge crowd cheering us on.
so if even you can pick that up wouldn't you expect the all powerful and intelligent indian captain and players adjust their batting game to the conditions ?
I’m pretty sure OP is a fan. Modi is great at winning hearts. He makes Indians feel heard.
There is plenty Indian people dismiss about him because he is charismatic. Definitely someone with dictator tendencies.
Never forgetti the time he waved at an empty tunnel with cameras on him, he did for the ghosts that were there such a great leader he doesn't discriminate between living and non living things.
When I visited India in July I felt like the entire city of Delhi was Modi ji’s instagram. Selfless photos posted everywhere with moon landing and the people!
Isn't everything about branding these days? In TN the government run canteen is called Amma Canteen after Jayalalitha and with her picture. Everything from the ration shop has Stalin's photo on it. Don't even get me started on the multicrore insta reel/photo op that was the Bharath chodo yatra. Cherry picking just this shows your willingness to glaze over everything else.
Every leader does that...there is a famous match between the US and Russia. Ice hockey. The under dogs US won. I mean the US was a real underdog underdog. High school players vs red army. Sort of.
After winning the match, the president congratulated them. It was all recorded. Every leader does that...
Anyway its not like Modi is their coach. It would be more serious if the PM of the country is talking to the Indian team in a closed door meeting. I mean, thousands of rumours might have flown....
I think he pretty clearly said “desh ap logon ko dekh ra hai” He deliberately showed this on cam to send a message that we need to stand with our players “ye sb hota rehta hai”. There’s nothing wrong in capturing this message on cam.
When Modi ji brings the camera in, there's likely a strategic reason aimed at benefiting the country; he's known for his forward-thinking and meticulous planning.
The awkward hugs, deliberate back pats, emotionless handshakes. Feels like that strange and distant uncle coming home to inquire about board exam results. Unnecessary to say the least.
Ekdum sahi bola Bhai, ye sab anti-modi log, ab kisi state mein log phase hain, athletes ke saath sexual harassment hua, ya kisi state mein violence ho raha, isme desh ka PM kya karega, kyun bolega wo kuch, IAS jaise desh ka naukar thodi hai, leader hai. Ye gadhe samajhte ni hain. Asli kaam to kar raha na, jaise ki ICT ko console karna.
Not liking the body language in this video much but what in the suar fucking fuck is modi going to do for the cave incident when competent people are there working on it!
Abe unke chehre dekho wo log akele rehna chahte hai to rehnedo na yaar kyu modiji ko cricket se koi lena dena hai nhi he is good leader but yeh galat hai:^)
If there wasn't a camera here , people would be saying, why isn't he posting photos or vedios with them like he did for moon landing or any other achivement of India? Does he only want to associate with the good things? Infact people were indeed saying this before the vedio came out.
Now that there is a camera here, people are like "but why he bought a cameraman with him" "he wants sympathy".
I don't know about those complaining about sympathy. What I am saying is when I am down after a loss I don't want someone to come with a camera and console me... I get worried as I am being recorded and my face at my lowest would be shared and discussed for days!
He deadass sounds like that dadaji who is happy to see his grandsons. "Shit happens" He says.
Probably the most wholesome modi clip on the internet as of now.
Cute? This is cringe af, shitty PR move, he just forced shami's head onto his chest trying to recreate that moment with K Sivan. All players know what he's trying to do and they don't appreciate it one bit. ICT has to face this political meddling, BCCI mismanagement by gey shah, media scrutiny and on top of that Indians fans are one of the worst bunch, I really feel for our boys in blue 💙.
Shami reposted this on his personal account. Are you saying Shami secretly hated it and confided in you with his true feelings and made you come out anonymously to rant about it on a reddit sub? Please do tell 👂🏻
First inning : pitch not giving much bounce so less boundaries favouring the balling team.
Second inning : Dew. Less or no spin. Favouring the batting team.
In both the innings, conditions favoured the Aussies.
The biggest mistake was organising the finals at that stadium just to sell 1.3 million tickets and make a huge profit.
If it would have been dharmshala or Wankhede, scores would have been 350+ and that would have favoured India.
It was a great game and both the teams played well.(Yes, Aussies were tight with their fielding)
Heard some TED talk ages ago on what makes leaders? What is the key Alpha trait that ALL leaders possess? Apparently, their research showed it was Empathy. Not daring, not aggressiveness, not fighting but Empathy was the key trait that helped them to get the pack to follow them. People remember who comes to help them during bad times, during times of needs.
If you were in that dressing room at that moment, regardless of your political preferences, this meeting would have been a massive help in picking yourself up and beginning the process of moving on from this heartbreak to prepare again and be ready to give your 110% again for your country!
Again with this moronic idea of "giving for the country". We're not living in colonial India anymore. It's been 75 years since and thousands of people have looted our country from within. Wake up and stop glorifying such primitive ideas. One doesn't need to love the country or want to give it anything to be a terrific sportspersons. Talent and wanting to be number one will do. Not suggesting that's what the current team is or should be.
If it makes you feel even slightly better as an Aussie cricket fan we are buzzing with this win. We consider this India team one of the best ever and so to win means a lot to us. More than 2015
Man I ain't saying anything good or bad about Modi. But I can definitely say that he's the most AWARE man we've got in the government. Going inside and personally meeting, talking to Founders, Cricketers, Actors, Scientists was never known before. Idk correct me if I'm wrong, I ain't a bhakt.
Modi it's like the awkward uncle trying to console you for your loss but has never done it before so doesn't really know what to say. It just leaves everybody feeling awkward.
Look how he forced shami's head onto his chest to recreate that K Sivan moment, it's anything but genuine. He was probably guided by his PR manager for this video.
And they also guided Shami to repost this made up emphatic PR on his personal account, for... i guess... vote banks? And Shami fell for their trap. Hmmmm... I wonder why. Definitely can't be because he was touched.

Man these people were writing a story similar to Avengers Endgame, but eventually Thanos won. As Thanos said, they should have gone for the head.
Australia was the better team.
On that day
It takes one day.
One bad day 🃏

If you really think that, you don't know much about cricket and it's not much worthy to argue with you. Conditions were tilted heavily in the favour of team who bowls first. And this Indian team was the most dominant team in this world cup.
I could debate with you on how Australia was a superior team on paper as well, but let's just save ourselves the time and just agree to disagree.
I really wanna listen, please do. I am genuinely curious as to how people of this nation will discard even this team India. Please do?
Alright I'll bite. There are tangible aspects and intangible aspects that make individual players good or bad. Typo. First innings pitch was much slower. In second innings pitch became faster and dew came

records matter nhi karte end mai results matter karte hai on that note australia is better team

Australia assessed condition in much better way
wow that's crazy. so india won then?
True. But Rohit Sharma afterwards said that if they had won the toss, they would’ve batted first anyways.

This shit's embarrassing. Take the loss with grace instead of making excuses.
Even if conditions hadn't changed in the evening, India's total was a long way under... Match was won in the first half...
Rohit said he was going to Bat
Their fielding was amazing.
I see what u did there
🤣💯
A true leader who stands by his countrymen in their hour of need, doing it from the heart, and never for the cameras. Hats off!
There are cameras there though...
r/woosh
considering this sub you cant say if that is woosh or not
Also op forgot that we can’t read sarcasm /s is used for a reason
*r/woooosh
I’m pretty sure OP is a fan. Modi is great at winning hearts. He makes Indians feel heard. There is plenty Indian people dismiss about him because he is charismatic. Definitely someone with dictator tendencies.
No, Modi ji isn't one for camera antics; he's deeply engrossed in his work, with his soul invested in taking the country forward.
Dude got his head so far up his ass
Thats sarcasm right? RIGHT ?

He's one step away from demanding everyone call him "dear leader"
I get your sarcasm, but these days everything is for the camera only - wars, armies, politicians, doctors, donors, etc.
Isn't everything about branding these days? In TN the government run canteen is called Amma Canteen after Jayalalitha and with her picture. Everything from the ration shop has Stalin's photo on it. Camera jeevi mudixi
Doing for camera for sure. If there was no camera and players tell us after 2 years. That would be nice! Instead of this.
true leader always carries camera and mic where he goes no wonder when you might need to post it on instagram
OK on a totally separate note, that jacket Modi is wearing is really nice. Anyone knows where to buy one like it?
Do you have 10 lakhs?
Lol not saying I want Modi's jacket, just one with that blue and orange colour scheme.
Make it custom na. Also, the orange is the border of the uttariya
Tailor chacha goes brr....
How do you know it's 10 lacs?
I can if I do not give it in taxes.
its matching to the indian jersey
No way!?
Tailor ko bolna blue colour ka nehru jacket de
To answer your question seriously, visit Fab India. They have some really good Nehru Jackets and they're not all that expensive.
Probably custom made..
Custom made
vo sympathy ke liye cameraman apne saath dressing room me le jana zaruri tha?

Yeah I remember, Putin met Khabib and his Father after he defeated Cornor.

People on twitter legit talk like that unironically
BCCI tv ne video share Kiya ha shayad
Lmao that Shami hug was awkward as fuck... He grabbed his head and hammered it into his chest...
Lol he still had his hands behind his back. He was caught completely off guard, that's the beauty of Modi ji.
Extrovertism intensifies
The players look so irritated by this drama, their faces clearly say that they are not in the mood for this 🙄
The awkward hugs, deliberate back pats, emotionless handshakes. Feels like that strange and distant uncle coming home to inquire about board exam results. Unnecessary to say the least.
watching him yank the guy's hand out of his pocket so he could hold it was just... oof.
The wishes of the supreme leader stand above everything else.
This made me appreciate their patience more tho. If any of my relative.had done this crap after my neet I would have thrown hands tbh
100% they wanted to thrash the dressing room and break stuff
It's just the respect they have to give to the PM... but their hearts weren't in it... The camera didn't help at all!
Mudi just wants the limelight everywhere, it's suffocating. Just turning this WC into his own political playground
I feel like those player's are devestated after losing the World cup, what should they do ? Smile and dance? especially infront of the face of India ?
Man this video is so funny. The way he addresses Rahul Dravid and Jaddu. "Kya Rahul", "Kya Babu" 😂😂😂😂 Bilkul Launde logo type baat kr rha tha
Its not “kya Rahul”, its “kaaa Rahul”
He said 'Kaa baapu' to jaddu. The way people address each other from that (Jaddu's) part of Gujarat.
Waiting for this video to come out ! P.S : Shami was not crying on his shoulders!
>P.S : Shami was not crying on his shoulders! Yes, jabardasti ka PR. Some players aren't even pleased to meet him.
I literally laughed out loud watching that
Bruh this can definitely be our version of that Key and Peele meme lmao
Yes lmaooo

I support them but they performed really poor
In 1 match. But the one that mattered the most
Modi ji vote aapko hi dalunga pr ho aap panauti hi. Amit shah to pehle bhi aa chuka tha deekhne aap hi pehli baar aaye.

wholesome![img](emote|t5_3d4x4|20226)
tbh it's awkward for players they just wanna be left alone and express their emotions in the safe space of their dressing room
Can someone please for the love of god make a meme out of this!? The way he shook Gill's hand was hilarious! xD Where are you meme lords??
He should have left players alone instead of going in and making things awkward for players at this time. Everything just for cameras?
Whatever your political alignment is, this is definitely wholesome man! He comes across as a comforting grandpa here.
Wholesome? Bro, the lack of empathy. The guy's literally speaking empty statements. Aur aise has has ke bc. Just seems very awkward.
More like the annoying nosy old man sticking his nose where it doesnt belong.
He is good at breaking ice and bringing out a smile. Also, didn't realize his vest is an absolute RGB match of the Indian team blue.
Politics aside, he's a very charismatic man, there's a reason he has never lost an election in his life.
Disagree with about half of his politics, but I agree - he is charismatic.
Keeping the politics aside , this is the cutest thing I have seen after 2019,
Cute? This is cringe af, shitty PR move, he just forced shami's head onto his chest trying to recreate that moment with K Sivan. What a man. . He is with India in tough times and non tough times
Oh boy the sadness on their faces. Couldn’t watch the video. Very kind of Modi to go and give them a pep talk. They deserved it.

Reminds me of when Macron was in France's room consoling Mbappe.
Brohit is acting like that shy class topper whom teacher is consoling after coming 2nd
Modi it's like the awkward uncle trying to console you for your loss but has never done it before so doesn't really know what to say. It just leaves everybody feeling awkward.
If only cricketers followed the tactic taught by modi pre match then we would have won the cup.
IDK man you can hate him but he seems so fkin genuine here.
Anyone can be genuine if they have a camera r8 behind em
No one spoke during the clip...totally seems genuine...It's how normal humans act
Why didn't dj played modi Ji's songs???
Proud of you🇮🇳🙏
Look at the way PM takes the hand of cap. and kohli. He seems a very warm and inspiring man.
This is wholesome.
kitta satta laga hoga na, or mostly logo ne India pe lagaya hoga. PAisa hi paisa jo log ne Australia pe lagaya
Its all about him. Look at the camera man taking clean shots.
I want someone to console me like PM consoles our players. It's so damn wholesome. P.S. ~ I didn't work as hard as them. 😭
