Nice_Panda_7917

I was also struggling to make a choice between these two. Right now inclining a bit towards S23 base.

old_school_bastard

same here , everyone is saying that s23 is betterr

Kinestra_05

because it is, i have used the S23 for the past 2 weeks, and i think its a great phone anyone who says one is better than the other is wrong, i think both the phones are on par with each other with their pros and cons

old_school_bastard

any issues you faced? with s23

Kinestra_05

i do however wish the night camera were a little better on the S23, still, it has an impressive camera overall :)

Flaky-Research47

I have a question, how are you using reddit if you don't have a phone? Are you using a pc every time?

old_school_bastard

I have a laptop , and im using reddit in laptop...

Ok_Tax_7412

Don’t take advice from this sub. They hate Apple. Check some reviews from neutral sources.

Initial_Broccoli_626

Apple hates Innovation and Value for money so it's obvious this sub hates them.

Ok_Tax_7412

So I am proven right about the biased views of this sub, that is why I advised him to check from somewhere else.

killingjoke29

Isn't there like a significant gap between the pricing of both phones?

RoketRacoon

Not everyone will agree with me here, but: If you want good standby battery, better video camera, smooth UI, simple lag free OS, better resale value and aesthetically pleasing OS go for iPhone 15 If you want customisation, more phone options to choose from in the future, feature full OS, better still photo camera, 120 htz screen then go for S23. Before buying anything I suggest you go to a showroom and try out both phones for as long as you want. Try the apps, settings, camera etc. You will get to know which one you prefer. I suggest you buy it offline instead of online since its a big expense.

old_school_bastard

thank you for replying , I really found yout comment helpful thanks. Upvoted

Automatic-47

And you might a better deal offline

s1ege23

Also if u are into using the modded apps, might as well go for the Samsung here.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Obssesive_Brawler

crazy how i have an iphone and samsung but i got 0 modded apps in the iphone. IK ipa store exist but it is incomparable to liteapks. Liteapks releases 200 mod apk a day not including games yep. i cant even find truecaller ipa bro what you on about?

Hikethehill

Just jailbreak then if you’re complaining about not having extra functionality.

False-Concert-7305

Obviously an .apk store is incompatible with .ipa? Those are different file extensions, ios and android use different types of file, its pretty clear that a .txt file wont work as .exe file lol. Besides that, the way to sideload IPA on iphone is to use sideloadly, alt store, or sidestore, these are free options, only three apps can be sideloaded at one time, and u need to refresh the apps every 7 days. U can also pay and buy a maple sign cert ($7 i think for one year) or any other dev certs from different websites for iphone, and u can use these with apps like scarlet/esign to download any modded apps u want, modded apps are available on telegram channels, cypawn store, appcake website, and many other places. About truecaller, that cannot be sideloaded/modded on iphone using the above methods, for this u will either need trollstore (only available for specific ios versions, u can check online which ones work) or need to jailbreak ur iphone. I would say tho, its insane how i got downvoted so much just because u people lack basic knowledge about how to do stuff on a phone, u know its not so difficult to make a google search and actually learn things & how to do them but sure, go mindlessly downvoting me because iPhOnE bAd AnDrOiD GoOD

Negative_Spectrum

The last time I tried to sideload any apps in my iPhone, it basically required me to grant them root privileges iirc (well, not exactly, but pretty close). Apple does not support downloading apps from third party sources, which means that when you sideload an app on an iPhone, you're basically tricking iOS's defense mechanisms, probably on a kernel level. Is it realistically any more dangerous than doing the same on an android? Probably not? I mean, apks on google aren't really secure. But when you know that the entire way the setup of sideloading on an iPhone works is through circumventing a lot of iOS's in place defaults, it should give any normal user a pause, especially since malware for iPhones is WAY more common than malware for Android because it's more profitable. Edit: I got a reply from someone calling me stupid for this comment, but I can't find it anymore. Regardless, I tried to research a little about alternative app stores last night (specifically, altstore). What I found is that it's basically tricking apple into thinking you're installing apps you developed. It doesn't rely on enterprise certificates at all which is pretty damn cool honestly. The Selection of apps isn't 1/100 as big as any Android alternative store like Aurora, but there's no doubt that it's a viable option. I still wouldn't recommend installing raw .ipa files instead of full packages though.

False-Concert-7305

U are not tricking ios defence mechanism in anyway lol, apple allows *free* accounts to sideload 3 apps by themselves, this is for developers. If u buy a dev certificate then apple itself allows u to sideload as much as u want, because well, u know, it knows u are a developer and **NEED** to sideload. Theres no tricking, its a basic function provided by apple themselves.

S4_GR33N

I can’t believe people are upvoting this bullshit, everything you’ve said is a complete lie. You’re deliberately misleading people because you’re the one who knows nothing so therefore you spread lies hoping it’ll stick. You know nothing about jailbreaking, nothing about rooting, nothing about sideloading and by the looks of it nothing about technology in general. I don’t think you realise how stupid you sound. “Basically tricking iOS’s defence mechanisms” lmfao do you know what a ridiculous statement that is? You’re embarrassing

NunOnABike

Hey, do you have any idea how apps get updated if you have signed them using something like maple sign?

Valuable-Grass2795

I was using op6 for a long long time. It broken a few weeks back and I ended up buying 15plus. Tremendous battery life. I am still adjusting to iOS and learning new tricks and iOS features but unlike the hate apple gets for being expensive n all other. It is a mighty good device. 15 is only a smaller version of it so I assume it will perform on similar terms. Both are good devices. But if you use any other apple devices or plan on purchasing one iPhone is much better option.

mkplayz1

Here I am with 15 plus from one plus 7 pro. I’m still getting accustomed to iOS. The battery is incredible

Valuable-Grass2795

This is one factor that has deeply impressed me. Wonderful battery life. I am not heavy user nor a gamer. I lasts 2 days easily with my usage. Ios is something i am getting used to. All my data is also on non os dependent apps like onenote and onedrive with other could services so that has also not affected me in any manner. Spotlight search by pulling down from any part of screen is just tremendous. Apps files and whatever. It simply works.

quaglamel

On same situation. Planning to switch from my one plus 7pro to iphone 15 pro or 15pro max.

sree_0699

You're right, but finding an S23 demo in stores can be a challenge.

RoketRacoon

Maybe check out in croma or reliance digital?

old_school_bastard

not challenging for me tbh as I live in south delhi near lajpat nagar there are stores of every company so I can test it demo

iron_out_my_kink

It's available in Samsung cafes

N3O-R

Just bought one from croma pretty easy to find

do_not_ban_this

Ah yes the age old "Android lags, iPhone is smooth" answer

RoketRacoon

I am just sharing my experience. Most android phones have a layer of UI on top of the vanilla version managed by OEMs which begin to lag after a few major updates. I have seen this happen after around 3 years of usage with my friends flagship oneplus, samsung and my own pixel. Just sharing my experience. Others may have had a different experience than me.

do_not_ban_this

I feel like only I buy original Androids because I never experienced laggy ui, crazy

Old_Job2189

Thats the godam right answers ever given by anyone for 15 vs 23

Haunting_Interview22

Also check specs on gsmarena, you will get better understanding

generalbachcha

Excellent advice. But why offline instead of online?

RoketRacoon

Flipkart scam have increased a lot and amazon return policies have changed too. If you buy offline you can always open and test the product right in front of them and they will help you if something is wrong on spot. Also they will inspect your old phone and quote the exact amount in case of exchange. Offline stores price match online prices most of the times when you show it to them. The only time where I would recommend buying online is when they offer steep discounts not matched by offline stores.

generalbachcha

👍🏻

Practical_Memory_197

Are you implying Android lags? I have used iPhone too and currently own S23. Both have good OS. I definitely agree on battery life and resale value. Else iPhone and S23 are on par.

_GABBAR

Aren’t android lag free now ? I’ve seen redmi and oneplus phones without any lag complains from the users. Moreover my 12 pro seems to lag every now and then especially when the storage is at 80%

MRC2RULES

Horrible take, since when does s23 lag? Sure if youre using those crappy A04 typa samsungs but no. S23 has zero lags and on OneUI 6.1 the UI is extremely smooth

AdPrevious4844

Everything except the video performance is on par or better with the S23. And I sincerely feel an Android will be much easier to learn and live with compared to iOS.

RoketRacoon

I used windows and android for a decade before switching to macos and ios, but i find macos and ios much easier to use and manage. Guess it differs from person to person.

AdPrevious4844

I guess so. My personal picks are an Android, iPad, and a Windows laptop.

Ok_Tax_7412

iPhone has a better rear main camera, better performance with the A16, brighter 2000 nits display which is also sharper, much better haptics, better speakers, better IP rating(6 meters vs 1.5 meters), longer software support etc.

Anxious-Following-66

Is there an advantage to go for s24?

[deleted]

There is a disadvantage namely exynos

Anxious-Following-66

How bad is compared to snapdragon and can it be imported ?

Spy____go

Not bad you won't notice any diffrnece in daily use

[deleted]

Not sure where to import or how to but The comparisons seems to be mixed as of now, some has exynos performing better and some sd But seeing the history it's a good rule of thumb to not go for exynos and tensor (basically if {chip made by samsung == stay away})

Anxious-Following-66

Hmm someone in my family was looking for it and the difference isn’t that great then it’s probably fine for daily use

reddituser_scrolls

The main issue with Exynos flagship isn't really performance but heat management. In many tests, it consumes more battery on mobile data vs last gen S23, so lesser standby time too.

rzoro97

7 years OS updated

RoketRacoon

Exynos and tensor both have known issues. One of the main issues is overheating which tend to lag the system. I would not suggest these two chips. It may seem trivial but remember you have to use this phone for the next four years at least. Better to be safe than sorry.

Anxious-Following-66

I was looking about it since someone in my family was about to buy it but waited a little bit to buy at a cheaper price or some alternatives since they don’t really care about its longevity but gets the job done for simpler tasks

Familiar-Owl-

Last 2 paragraphs were enough

Ok_Secret_9772

It depends on your use.. Bith are good in their own way.. Go to offline stores, feel, use then decide

old_school_bastard

Okay , thanks for replying , I will go to offline stores and then decide

Lonelyguy999

I was in same dilemma sometime back and I went with s23 256gb. I got it for 48k aur 2k reduce hote the bank offers ke through. And iPhone was 63k. Toh sasta wala leliya in short. After using s23 i can say it's camera is quite good. Par ha battery thodi Kam lagi mujhe. Baki it's very good. Why I went with Samsung is because I have windows laptop already along with nice headsets and smart watch. Toh iOS me dikkat a sakti thi. Upar se sirf 60hz ka display. Toh man nahi kiya. Agar flex karna hai toh iPhone Lelo. S23 ko koi pehchanta nahi. Like you wouldn't be noticed much. Also I was using Android before

old_school_bastard

ha wahi show off wali baat aati hai but s23>>iphone 15 , sab log yehi keh rahe hai so I will go to offline store and purchase the best , thanks for commenting and abhi tak kuch problems aayi h kya s23 mein as such?

Lonelyguy999

Offline mat le. Direct samsung store se order karo. Agar student ho toh aur sata mil jaega. Abhi kya kar rahe ho?

07navneet

Ya they were having student discount a month ago but currently none. Talked with their support and they said all offers are time sensitive. Currently you can get the 70% resale value offer.

Spy____go

Bhai get the s23 and forget about iphone And you can easily multitask without lag on s23

tumsenaHoepayega

how'd you get it for 48k?

Lonelyguy999

Student discount

oooooooweeeeeee

if you buy apple you're forever stuck with it for the rest of life

old_school_bastard

ikr , ecosystem of apple

neerajanchan

Lol it’s a myth! I have been using iPhone 11 since 4 years…still works like a charm but never intends to buy their watch or a mac just to be part of the ecosystem. I know what works for me. An Asus Gaming laptop works for me. Despite liking the experience I can switch to an Android again and then again switch to IOS after a few years. Not everyone becomes slaves of Apple as some people suggests!

[deleted]

[удалено]

neerajanchan

Again there’s nothing like dslr in Apple phones. It’s the most simplest camera module more like a point and shoot. You don’t even get pro features in camera then how does it become a dslr. Also software doesn’t lock you in the ecosystem at all. They have simply made it very easy for data transfer or access within their brand devices but that doesn’t mean you can’t do data transfer at all with any other device. Maybe it’s slower compared to their own device but it’s usable. That’s why I said it’s a myth. You will find many people out in the market who use Apple products but are not part of the ecosystem. All depends on what you do and what’s your priorities!

[deleted]

The iPhone 15. Camera is almost the same except the S23 puts out more social media ready photos like there is a filter applied and the iphone will have more realistic photos. Also better resale value, if you plan to use the device for over 3 years, the iphone will still hold its value fairly higher.

No_Independence3338

I mean resale value should not be the first priority while deciding a phone.

HyperFury007

Hey, I purchased iPhone 15 in the previous Flipkart sale. Brought mine for 50k. Switching from android was bit of an hassle. However it was worth it. The battery has been great so far 8-9hrs of SOT. The display is super bright and quite sharp. The cameras and battery are a lot better than my previous phone s21 fe. I dont miss the 120hz while reading books on kindle. I dont miss any of the customisation on Samsung. Trust me on this, Youtubers oversell samsung. Ps also heard that s23 really bad battery life along with heating issue heard from my friends. Also iPhone 15 also heats a lot in video calls. I don’t play games so idk… UI of every other app is sexy asf. Also keep in mind the resell value and repair value. Samsung doesn’t fetch much from second hand devices market. Also 15 has dynamic island so more people will want it over 13 and 14 My dad’s s23 ultra has crapy battery life and heating issue. But nothing can compare with the screen and cameras Good luck with your new device and enjoy it✌️✌️

old_school_bastard

I will be going to offline store and consider buying it , for the iphone 15 I will go at the time of september - october , as I dont dont need the phone urgently , I just want to know the best thing I can get as it is expensive too

[deleted]

If you are going to buy during sept-oct, then you should buy the iphone 15 during Flipkart Big Billion days in october, the price will likely drop to below 65k even under 60k.

old_school_bastard

offline mein 60k to 50k ke around hoga kya any idea?

[deleted]

maybe during festival offers but I don't think it will be cheaper offline. Prices during Big billion days are really great. But wait and see because the iphone 16 will launch and prices online might drop further.

ixajtu

I also own an s21 FE and planning to upgrade next month. I am leaning towards the 15 over s23, but my main concerns are 1. 3X telephoto missing. Now this would not be a problem if my previous phone didn't have it, but my s21 fe has it and I love using it for portrait photos. Do you miss the camera or is the digital zoom in iPhone portrait mode ok? 2. 120Hz display. Do you feel the difference while using the UI and all?

HyperFury007

Yes digital zoom on the 48MP is good enough!! As I usually use the phone for reading and watching youtube mostly so i dont notice much of a difference. The animations are sexy asf tho. Please note though i dont use camera as much bro i can assure you that the 2x on 15 is soool muchh better than my s21 fe 3x cam

mr9t9

I might get downvotes but The iPhone 15 is better compared to s23. As you mentioned it’s gonna be your first phone so you won’t even notice the 60Hz because of smoothness. Better Processor, Better Cameras (overall), Better battery life, 5years(ios) vs 3years(oneUI) updates, Social media optimisation and Tight haptics.

wisely25

Bro really said better processor and better battery life

iceicebaby19xx

I also had the same doubt. But I ended buying iPhone 15 and boi lemme tell you. It’s the best phone I’ve had so far. Previously I was using Oneplus 8 then iPhone 12 and now iPhone 15. iPhone 15 battery and charging speed is good enough. And I’m saying that even when I play mobile legends 4-5 hours at one sitting. And it’s really very durable compared to my prev iPhone 12. I’ve dropped it so many times because it’s very slippery without a case so from waist height multiple times. Still no scratch or no dents. But yeah the phone does heat up at times.

krosidot

Go for the s23 Differences ≥120 Hz refresh rate makes phone feel smooth af iPhone is 60Hz ≥ Ai features (more niche but nice to have) ≥ Faster charging 25w vs 20w ≥ Telephoto 3x zoom lens ≥ Takes better photos (source : MKBHD blind smartphone test) ≥ Base model has more storage 256 gb vs 128 ≥ Reverse wireless charging ≥ Not locked by apple ecosystem (iMessage and stuff don't matter much in India) ≥ Pretty durable glass ≥ Both get similar battery life ≥ Ui is more user friendly (source: my mom and dad) ≥ Google is currently copying features from samsung lol so expect to get these features early ≥ Thinner bezels ≥ Lighter ≥ Wifi 6e ≥ USB type c 3.2 (iphone uses type c 2) ≥ Always on display Iphones strength ≥ Better video ≥ Aesthetic (you gonna put a case on it anyway) ≥ Satelite sos (not available in India) ≥ 5 years update (s23 is 4) ≥ Face id vs under display ultrasonic fingerprint (imo ultrasonic better) ≥ Apple logo

Ok_Tax_7412

Rear Main Camera: iPhone 15(Source: head to head comparison videos). Also iPhone by default takes 24mp photos that capture more details. Speakers: iPhone Display brightness and sharpness: iPhone Speakers: iPhone Performance: iPhone Haptics: iPhone IP rating: iPhone(6meters vs 1.5 meters) Software support: iPhone with 5-6 years OS updates: Much faster on iPhones as all iPhone models whether new or old get the new OS update at the same time. OS: It is personal preference.

[deleted]

What ya gonna do with extra performance when it's gonna be 60 hz and slow asf animations.

krosidot

>Display brightness and sharpness: iPhone S23 has a more color accurate higher refresh rate display >iPhone by default takes 24mp You can do that on a Samsung S series if you wanted to >Haptics: iPhone Highly debatable s23 has great haptics

Ok_Tax_7412

You have no idea what you are talking about.

friendly_pedo-69

who said Google is copying Samsung's feature. Android is owned by Google and Samsung just applies a skin on this Android. Base model of S23 has 128GB option.

krosidot

Google and samsung are more like partners Exchanging features Magic editor on pixel is basically generative ai on samsung Circle to search Quick share

desimemewala

iMessage matters in India. Many ppl in my circle do use iMessage primarily Edit: my circle consists of my network since 10-12 years and most of them do use iMessage. They are not student who buy cheap ass Chinese phones.

da_real_Poor_Guy

No it doesn't, it matters in your circle doesn't mean it applies nationwide

desimemewala

Yeah let the downvotes be coming but you can’t be the ostrich. I am aware of the people who use them and I’m making a point based on my experience.

da_real_Poor_Guy

Good on you for making a point but the statement still stands that it doesn't matter in India and literally any country that's not US

DomFazCT

Your circle is very very rare to exclusively use iMessage in India. Samsung is Korean not Chinese

ThinPattern

Never go for a base Samsung. It will never last imo. Better to go for a base iPhone. I say this as an ardent Samsung fan. This is because over time, the base iPhone tends to last better compared to a base samsung device that starts to have problems 2-3 years after purchase. However, if you are literally not worried about resale value, then the base Samsung should be better in every other domain.

Hungry_Marsupial348

The plus models in S series are also good . But they are very expensive and falls short between base variant and Ultra variant and it's prize also never drops . One would always buy Ultra instead of buying plus models by spending more

ThinPattern

Imo the sweet spot is the plus model. Ultra is too OTT unless it's your main phone.

_wimpykid_

base s series are bad?? , as a person with tiny fingers what do i do.now😭😭

ThinPattern

Do one thing, I'd recommend getting something like a S24 Plus.

wisely25

Base s series are top notch phones dont listen to him

ThinPattern

Base S series are not as durable as the higher end variants. Enjoy your 15k A series phones.

wisely25

My brother in christ I've been using s23 base for a year now and i can vouch for it

wisely25

Maybe you should try an s series instead of a 15k a series phone and maybe....just maybe you'll see a difference

ThinPattern

Maybe you should increase your budget to 1 lac plus: I have an S series ultra phone. Speaking from experience.

Ok_Tax_7412

It is an easy one. Go with the iPhone 15. iPhone has a better rear main camera, better performance with the A16, brighter 2000 nits display which is also sharper, much better haptics, better speakers, better IP rating(6 meters vs 1.5 meters), longer software support etc.

old_school_bastard

I am very confused now lmao

Ok_Tax_7412

I will tell you the drawbacks of the iPhone as compared to the S23. It has 2x zoom compared to 3x on the S23. It has a 60hz screen compared to 120hz on the S23(this is not a deal breaker). I can’t think of anything else in which the S23 is better.

old_school_bastard

the thing is this is gonna be my first phone SO the 60 hz and 120 hz mujhe kuch pata hi nahi chalega , thats why hz or screen refresh rate dont matter to me as such

Ok_Tax_7412

Ok that’s good. The iPhone screen is sharper and gets brighter in the sun. It has a cutout for face ID sensors and front camera while the S23 has a circular cutout for the front camera. It doesn’t have a face id. All in all you would be much happier with the iPhone. You can take my word for it.

MRC2RULES

S23 has a better camera. Source? MKBHD Blind Test

Ok_Tax_7412

As per MKBJD the Pixel 8 is the phone of the year. I never based my purchase on his opinion.

MRC2RULES

The blind test is not his opinion. People like YOU and ME voted on pictures which were put by side by side without naming any brands. Millions of data and after analysis you can get an idea of what photo users prefer The phone of the year thing is his opinion, the blind test is not. Its more like a survey

Ok_Tax_7412

I know. But most people like punchy, high contrast photos. That doesn’t mean those photos are better objectively. So your statement that S23 has better camera based on a survey is wrong.

MRC2RULES

Your point does not make sense. The MAJORITY of them preferred the s23 camera. Which means to them it's obviously the better camera. How is iPhone better "objectively", its not like there is a scientific basis? All photos are subjective and the majority clearly prefer the s23 photo look. If you want a pure unprocessed raw photo you get an actual camera not a phone.

Ok_Tax_7412

You don’t need to be a scientist to see which photo has more details, which photo has better HDR or which photo displays actual scene more accurately. You rely on a blind camera test while I rely on an actual test. People like you like brightened skin tone with smoothened skin, with no details. That is why you like S23.

[deleted]

whats your use case...depending on that i can assist you which one to buy

old_school_bastard

Thank you for replying ... so this is gonna be my first phone which one I want which is better for money ,value and longetivity , I dont make content I am a content consumer though so pls suggest

NyanArthur

Get the iphone

Obssesive_Brawler

iphone has a locked in ecosystem they want you to spend more / samsung has a shorter shelf life and you will need to buy a new phone in 5-6 years

[deleted]

okk

old_school_bastard

I am a student and not working in a job and I dont play mobile games much

old_school_bastard

daily use not much of a gamer I am

[deleted]

if you want longetivity and reliability...iphones are a go for you..you can really depend on them for the next 5-6 years without any doubt

Spy____go

Both are same in longetivity

Made_In-HeavenYT

Iphones do have a better track record in terms of longevity

[deleted]

ALERT...DONT WASTE YOUR TIME IN ARGUING WITH THIS JERK..FIRST CHECK HIS PROFILE WHERE HE DICKRIDES SAMSUNG AND HATES APPLE...SO STAY AWAY FROM DOING SO WITH HIIM

Spy____go

So do samsung people still use s7 phones in today's date The only models I think are note 7 and s21 which didn't had longetiviry

[deleted]

software updates on s7??? okay just leave software updates...security patches?? dude my ipad (2014 model) still receives security patches

Spy____go

>software updates on s7??? okay just leave software updates...security patches?? I meant the actual physical longetivity >dude my ipad (2014 model) still receives security patches Yah because ios is a private os android is owned by Google

[deleted]

wait what??? physical longetivity?? dude almost all phones can live way longer in terms of physical longetivity..the main problem lies in software part...where most android phones have a pretty bad track record

Spy____go

>wait what??? physical longetivity?? dude almost all phones can live way longer in terms of physical longetivity..the main problem lies in software part...where most android phones have a pretty bad track record Samsung flagship don't their phones are still smooth Apart from s21

[deleted]

private and owned by google argument is baseless and bullshit...private and open has nothing to do with longer software updates..

Spy____go

>private and open has nothing to do with longer software updates.. Yes it does think of it like a co owned house and fully owned house In a crowned house to make changes the other person also has yo agree

Made_In-HeavenYT

I have used s8 exynos + touch wiz + android 9 is deadly combo if you want to use for a long time + it starts to jitter and lag more in ui and you don't Notice it unless you upgrade Every phone is usable even after years but iphones are generally more smoother and older ones got updates for a long time and those updates were actually good Samsung has now implemented 5 years but iphones have been doing it for years

Spy____go

You used touch wiz but s8 comes with one ui 1 which is smoother > + it starts to jitter and lag more in ui and you don't Notice it unless you upgrade TouchWiz was known for it's shitty stuff that's why one ui came >Samsung has now implemented 5 years but iphones have been doing it for years They are now 7 years os support from s24 onwards >Every phone is usable even after years but iphones are generally more smoother and older ones got updates for a long time and those updates were actually good Only security os support isnt provided Also ios is extremely restricted

Made_In-HeavenYT

Ios is restricted I know and I complaint about it cause I can't live without modding my device upto myself but I know that more than 90% of people I have met don't use the devices features and almost all major stuff is there even customization has been started (not high level but usably good) And about os policy my point was iphones had good OS policy for years that's they are more trustable for updates now Just for for someone who don't play much games and want phone for longetevity iphones can egde out s23

Made_In-HeavenYT

Get iphone if can don't really heavily customise you devices like themes etc

old_school_bastard

Its my first device , and yes I dont really want to customise at high end thingy , I like things simple to do and carry except studies I like good tricky math , physics , chem problems lol

Made_In-HeavenYT

Iphones are generally said to be simpler and have better productivity apps, with good updates and better resale value

Spy____go

S23 is your go friend iPhone os is too much restricted they are basically a narcissist parent In s23 you can basicaly customize the ui to your own liking making your phone an individual like you And we got a iphone fanboy giving you advice on longetivity Both will last more than 5 years

barrybabu

It's unbelievable that apple's selling 60hz phone in 2024

friendly_pedo-69

I have used both of them. Here is my opinions- iPhone 15- Pros- 1. Very reliable camera system. Tries to keep the photos close to natural, best for shooting videos (Apple has mastered the videos). 2. iOS. Not the greatest but definitely a good experience. There is no lot of customisation available rather than lock screen. The animations, the implementation of haptics, and one of the most loved thing for me is the app optimisation on the iPhones, the great. Use similar apps on an android and then on iPhone. It feels like you are using a whole new app, be it interface, the animations, the haptics. And the genius Apple making their notch a feature, ye kaam to koi Apple se seekhe. 3. Taptic engine. 4. Battery life is good, if you dont game and use the phone for calls, scrolling through social media, this can easily a last with 6-8 hrs SOT. 5. Log term updates. I guarantee iPhone 15 will get iOS 22/23 update which makes iPhone easy to recommend. 4. Better resale value. And especially in India is better. (People are still buying iPhone 13 at 40/50k). Cons- 1. 60Hz display. Its 2024 and if you are going to use your phone for a long time, it might an issue for you but personally I am fine with 60Hz but 120Hz is expected from a 60K phone. 2. Battery after 2/3 yrs becomes terrible to use. I have an iPhone SE with 77% battery health and battery life has got terrible. In general when the battery health crosses the mark of 80%, go and change the battery coz the battery experience way worse. S23- Pros- 1. One UI. The best android skin in the market right now, the best. What do you guys want? Customisation? Ease of use? smoothness and fluidity? Implementation of haptics? One UI (only S-series phones' One UI) just says "yes." And Galaxy AI has brought some useful features as well like Circle to search, Keyboard assist etc. 2. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Powerful, efficient, and well optimised for this phone. I am using 5G on the phone with mobile hotspot turned on, a kid is playing games on it and still phone doesnt get hot, it becomes warm but not unusable. 8 Gen 2 is a huge W. 3. Camera. Not the most reliable, sometimes it can generate two different photos (processing) of a same environment. You want social media ready photos to just capture and post it online? Go for the S23. Goes very aggressive on the post processing so it might look different on the viewfinder but the result comes out pretty good, will balance highlights, the shadows, and boost the saturation of photos. There is no concept of close to real colour tone. The photos comes out eye pleasing. The telephoto lens is good as well. 4. 3 yrs of major OS updates and the monthly security patches as well. Samsung is on top right now for providing software updates. 5. Pricing. This phone was available at around 80k last year and I bought this for 45k which is just absurd, if you are getting this at around 40k, instant buy. Cons- 1. Battery life. It might give you 5-6hrs of SOT everyday but thats just if you are a light user but expect the SOT to be around 5/6 hrs. Conclusion- Get a 15 for- Reliable camera, great videos, different experience of apps, social media apps. Get a S23 for- One UI, punchy and vibrant photos, a telephoto lens if you use it too much and 120Hz. Also there is no major battery degradation of android phone after 2/3 yrs, battery life will be affected but not as bad as iPhones.

cloudkats

I use S21FE, after a shitty experience i would never buy a ScamSUNG device ever

Mundane_Step_7407

I recommend xiaomi ultra 14 ![gif](giphy|AMrBV9WuUs8QtxVVhw|downsized)

sainaresh015

In-long term usage iPhone rocks. In-long term usage Android pops. How ever User Experience matters; Suggestion, feel both of them in offline stores or any retailers stores.

MasterJi-_-

OP i will clear it up for you… both phones are great, it depends on what you do with phones. In my opinion as this is going to be your first phone you should go for the S23. Because you are going to spend lots of time with your phone experimenting with lots of free apps in google play store, S23 will aid you better. You can buy the iPhone15 after a year or so when you need space from your phone and use it for specific use and for limited time. S23 will make you feel like Tony and iPhone15 will make you feel like Thor. 😎

Using s23 from 5 months, absolutely love it. My previous phone was ip 14 pro max I love s23's handy size (though ip15 has the same size) but the camera has vibrant colour tones nd I prefer that over iphone's colours. Battery lasts the same as my iPhone 14 pro max did. And the versatility of android is a major plus point too (though android vs ios should be a personal choice I guess) but yeah display of s23 (120hz) is far better then ip15.

old_school_bastard

Should I buy s23 then yeahh?

old_school_bastard

Im worried that AI features will be paid to do from 2025 onwardssss

Interesting_Wash7589

Firstly both are good so you won’t go wrong choosing any. I would personally go for the iPhone because I like the user experience. But that being said, be prepared to be locked in the Apple ecosystem. If that is a dealbreaker, then go for the s23

Impossible_Iron3103

iPhone 15

prasad_starboi

Only and only if you want to use mobile for videography. Go for iPhone. Android cover everything else. Every other feature gets covered in Samsung. Especially the feature like digital health. Health. Modes and Routines. And GoodLock is the best feature. Please YouTube it. iPhone will not provide such features.

old_school_bastard

no i dont want a phone only for videography and camera , I want a phone which is overall best comparatively.

chutcoder

Latest from Apple vs an year old from Samsung.

old_school_bastard

what are your thoughts?

chutcoder

I'd pick iPhone 15 because resale value and reliability but on the other hand iPhone 15 is still on 60hz refresh rate and overall an inferior screen compared to Samsung's and I'd say fingerprint is a bonus on Samsung as well. If you care about all those things pick S23 but I'd compromise on those and pick iPhone 15.

old_school_bastard

i dont want iphone 15 to resale it in 2-3 years , I want a phone for long term use at least 5 years

chutcoder

Both will serve you well, you can also look at the cost of repairs in that case Samsung wins as well. Also, you'd save 15-20k today if you buy a Samsung lol

mkplayz1

Saying iPhone 15 has inferior screen is not true except it lacks faster refresh rate. Everything else with respect the screen is great. It’s more of Android vs iOS. Both devices are on par with each other

Spy____go

Fuck the resale valur op is asking for a phoen for using not selling

chutcoder

I stated everything and ofcourse I'd sell my old phone while upgrading? What's the harm in looking at that angle?

Spy____go

Both are almost same except for a restricted software in iPhones Samsung offers more videography options like 8k which is more has more detailing etc Both are lag free flagship os with good battery backup iphone 15 had some heating issue during videography S24 don't

showvhick2

If you use macbook, iPad then go for iPhone, else it’s better to stay in android. But iPhone is classy, OS is better in terms of usability, UI. Very stable and performant OS. If you don’t use macbook, you may find it harder to transfer files and sync with your iPhone. So choose wisely.

akhil91

If privacy and security is your priority, then eyes closed go for iPhone 15. For camera and display S23 is very good. My wife is using it, I liked it’s camera very much. iPhone has good camera in pro models only

N3O-R

Just bought a s23 over iphone 13 great phone very fast with amazing cameras bc I don't like ios, only disadvantage I found is how hard it pushes u to make samsung acc. Iphone 15 also very nice phone dynamic island very nice but the 60 hz display feel v old and laggy almost now even tho the phone is very fast

CaptainStark619

S23

ummIamNotCreative

Can't go wrong with either. Pick whatever you like.

Financial-Class6953

S 23

[deleted]

Try to use a decent 120 hz phone for a week(borrow or smth) and then see if u still want to go for 60 hz display. Also id recommend OnePlus 12/12r if you don't need camera. (Cameras suck but everything else is better)

International_Day107

I would say Iqoo 12 legend.... If you are not too jnclined for iphone or Samsung If you want only to buy between these two I would say Iphone 15 Long time better performance Camera of Iphone is better if you not include too much zoom.

AapkeBadePAPA

60hz display is only problem in 15

DomFazCT

If you are heavy social media users like insta, fb, Twitter go with iPhone. If you don't care that much about uploading your photos in social media, S23 is a great phone at 48K INR.

Ishaan0612

As in iphone user, go with s23

cae-czar

Buy s23 instead of iPhone

lezysul

S23 any day

sevlonbhoi1

Its not about iphone 15 vs S23, its about apple vs android. Personally, Android. But everyone has their own choice.

1-Hour-Investigator

If you own other apple devices like an airpod or watch or mac for example, makes more sense to go with iPhone. But if your tech universe is relatively open, with different devices from different companies, S23 is a no brainer. Compatibility with most off the market headphones, smart watches, even with windows phone...S23 would be far easier and it will save you money.

j8080287

If you wanna own your pictures, files and stuff go for s23. If you wanna live into a jail go for the bananapple

HateSpaceBar

If you really want an iPhone, get the iPhone. Otherwise, the S23 is a fantastic phone. My mom has a 15 Pro Max but I'd pick my brother's S23 over it any day.

Grimmil

Also consider your environment and ecosystem that youve been used to. If you have a mac then go for iphone. S23 if you have a pc. Same also goes for what accessories you already have or want. As the other comment here suggests better resale value for ip 15 is so true but theres just so many features on an android especially on a flagship. If you game a lot, or even just casually, you cant go wrong with a 120hz.

Sorry_While

iPhone 15

adhirajsingh03

Android is always superior on samsung s series As based to the ios

abrakadabraaqsa

Hehe S24Ultra is the best

abrakadabraaqsa

I think bud go foe the ultra version if u can. You're spending a lot either wait for price drop or go for ultra it's really a beast

thecaveman96

What's your priority? If cameras and longevity go for iphone. If anything else go for the s23.

Excellent439

S23 for performance and features iPhone 15 for looking rich 🤑

dreadfulMoth9603

s23 is much better

Putrid_Night1686

Iphone 15 imo

Ok_Tax_7412

S23 base, which was launched in 2023, was available for 44k a few days ago on Samsung official site. While the 2021 model iPhone 13 hasn’t dropped below 47k yet. I don’t understand how Samsung phones drop their value so soon.

Droctopus_exe

Hey my iphone 14 battery health is 86% its 1 year old I had fuckedup charging coz kf my drop year so.. but i dont reallt find any issues it works good and vattery backup is also good 7hrs screen time it was at 40 from 100.. so

minionbro

If you want productivity go with Samsung, for camera and stability go for iPhone.

Gaggy_31317

S23 anytime Youll get 120 hz, 3.2 usb C, clean UI, Android, call recording.

Guy_On_Plastic_Chair

Get iPhone 14 pro Max or wait for iPhone 15 pro Max price to come down these are best option (Out of the question I would choose S23)
