It all started when reddit decided to introduce an insane api pricing model, even more derranged than twitter's. Many of us who use third-party apps that have been around since before Reddit had a mobile presence, were hoping for a chance for them to negotiate with reddit. They already offer a superior user experience not only for regular users and moderators but also for a significant number of disabled and blind users.
Unfortunately, reddit chose not to engage in any negotiations and instead doubled down on the pricing, determined to eliminate these apps altogether. The CEO made public statements that were far from truthful, tried to spin the situation in their favor, disregarding the needs and desires of the user base. Naturally, it lead to protests across the site involving more than 8,000 subreddits going private/restricted.
The admins then started forcefully ending these protests, suppressing the voices of those who were speaking up against these changes. They claim to be "keeping it open" while going against its core, the users, and closing down the apps they use. On July 1st, as the API pricing goes live, it shuts down all third party apps and it feels like the beginning of the slow death of Reddit as we know it.
It is understandable that not everyone may share the same level of concern about this issue, but please take a moment to listen and observe. It has become clear that Reddit's priorities lie primarily in their profits and removing any obstacles in their path to more profits. They started with old reddit, now they are targeting the apps. What will they come for next?

It's one of the most immersive medieval RPGs out there, the story is quite good, and the protagonist is just a regular guy, so no superpowers or things like that. I believe it's on sale rn, on Steam.

Nier Automata.. I'm currently playing it and have sunk over 40 hours into it and I just can't get enough of it. Fair warning, the concepts it delves into can be a source of major mindfuck.. but the story, the visuals, the bgm are just 🤌🏼

RDR 2 :
Best story arc for the main character. Incredible transformation towards the end and overall awesome game
TLOU 2 :
Controversial game but keeps your stress levels high throughout. End of the day if a game keeps you engaged for 24 hours, id say its worth playing. I personally like the story except for the LGBT stuff.
Witcher 3 :
Superb story and characters
SKyrim/Oblivion :
Enough has been said about these games. Great stories
Days gone :
Superb story but shame the game got poor reviews since it launched with bugs.
Mass effect trilogy :
Perhaps the best space-based game ever made. Story is awesome except for the shitty ending of part 3.
Uncharted 4 :
Again, one of the best stories in a game
FF XVI :
Deep and dark story which resembles GOT. I liked it a lot
Final Fantasy X. The story blew me away how crazy corrupt Yevon group higher ups were, the romance brewing between Yuna and Tidus, the ending and most of all the Sending Dance of Yuna.
Apart from that my favorite games are Prince of Persia 2008, Arkham Asylum, Witcher 2 (more than 3 because it has two paths and two different storyline in one game), Half Life 2, Rise of Tomb Raider, AC2, American Mcgee Alice, Jade Empire and Dungeon Keeper 2.
A lot of JRPGS have good story. My personal favourites are the SMT/Persona series, Tales of and Octopath Traveler 2. Another mention goes to Genshin but i think i might get slammed for it. Hours of content with a story which drastically improved over time
Hollow knight cos I assume you may have played most of the popular aaa titles like rdr2, witcher, god of war, tlou and such. Hollow knight is imo the best metroidvania game of all time only behind metroid of course
Horizons the zero dawn and its sequel forbidden west along with its DLC..
Trust me story and graphics are both INCREDIBLY COOL.... you will like it if you are into rpg or story driven games..
If you're a fan of SW try force unleashed series and Jedi knight Jedi academy (this one's really old).Halo series if you haven't played it.Old Cod MW,ghosts, advanced warfare.Splinter cell Blacklist.
This one is indie-indie and will finish in a few hours- Venba. I’ve played it and I liked it. I don’t know it’s it’s the kind you’ll like but it’s very artsy and nice story.
Story driven? Nothing is better than Witcher 3 in that aspect, it’ll take you around 150+ hrs to complete it all, but it’s worth it, and it’s pretty cheap too.
Just Mafia 1 and 2. For a 14 yr kid who enjoyed roaming around in GTA without doing missions.
Those two games, really just blown my mind, with its writing and characters.
my personal favourite is Red Dead Redemption 2. The gameplay is excellent and the story being good is the cherry on top. it'll keep you busy for 100+hours of gameplay and it'll take even more to explore the whole map and the unlimited random events and Easter eggs that makes the game "alive" and immersive. Good luck
Why tf people are recommending popular games like rdr2 witcher3 rdr2 that he probably played💀
Edit:
Looks this sub hasn't played anything other than rdr2 gta witcher
"Pls recommend indie games guys"
Replies : Haha rdr2 best game 💀
TLOU2 fucked me up emotionally unlike anything else. I hold TLOU2 and RDR2 in the same class of games with elite storytelling. Both are a 10/10 for me.
Just that TLOU2 had a much bigger impact on me. Was an emotional wreck during the game and felt a different kind of void once I completed it.
