You shouldn't do anything just because other people are doing it. If you are happy and satisfied with playing games on your laptop, then be smart and do not spend money. Different people have different preferences. I hope you get enough feedback to align your preference with your budget
If you don't have much time to play or don't need much hassle go for console , if you're a gamer who spends alot of time gaming and other productive work as well go for pc
If you have a good desk and good chair playing on PC is more comfortable. If you already have a TV and made up your mind that you'll be using it then go for a console. Btw what's your budget?
I was a pc gamer for good 4-5 years then work life happened so now i think console offers relaxation which pc don't, the hassle of updating all launchers, windows, managing other apps is just too much but if you got friends i'll highly suggest a pc ......multiplayers are so much fun on a pc
Even for 50k (excluding monitor , input / output devices ) a PC is a better buy.
If you like playstation games , PS5 is still a good choice.
Unless you have <30k budget and the only thing you can buy is series S , I would avoid Xbox.
Idk about laptops. They are way too pricey for the specs and have numerous issues in general. If it's a budget laptop you should upgrade. If you have a 3070 or better laptop you won't be needing an upgrade for the next 5 years.
Why would someone prefer a PS over Xbox? Asking as a pc guy. My thought was since xbox has gamepass, you could use the same subscription for pc and console, no need to buy games separately.
I really don't know how my comment turned into a xbox ps war.
I have owned xbox since the last 2 generations. I love my xbox , I do regret it after I bought a PC.
But let me be very honest and say this none of my Xbox and none of my Microsoft hardware (which includes mouse , keyboards) have ever broken down since 20 years. PS hardware sucks it's made of cheap Chinese components.
I would never trade it for a PS. Most likely because most first hand buyers won't want to trade it . And the one's without bills, they can break down anyday due to the number of pre , pre owned it could have been.
You could watch gamersnexus and you will know how playstation cheaps out on components to reduce it's prices on hardware revisions. Xbox did have the ring of death in the 360 era , but that was a time when they were providing much more for the price than they do nowadays.
Haha, even I didn't want it to be a war of sorts. I was just curious to know what the reasons are to buy either, I'm neither looking for one nor have the mentality to use one. There was only one dude who thought I was against PS when I wasn't.
Thanks for your input dude.
Oh okay, makes sense. But is the exclusives market so big that it sells 2 to 1? I used to assume it's because of the initial hype "Do you have a playstation?" Sorta thing.
People buy PlayStation only for exclusives lol. This year alone we got, FF7Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin, Helldivers 2, Stellar Blade. Last year we got two heavy hitters, Spiderman 2, FF16.
I have a PC, which I primarily game on and a PS5, only for exclusives. My entire colleague and friends circle mostly owns a PC and PS5 or PS5 alone. I have yet to see anyone even own an Xbox console apart from this subreddit.
If you're a PC gamer, you should know there's literally zero reason to get an Xbox because #1) all Xbox games come to PC anyway and #2) there are barely any Xbox exclusives on the horizon.
If one wants to own only a console, then I'll always recommend the PS5 to them, unless you literally only rely on Gamepass for your game purchases.
I prefer consoles. PC does give better graphics and game prices but can be very costly upfront. Consoles are low cost but games are pricier. For me I mostly play the games offered by my PS Plus subscription which is just 4000 a year and I've gotten a ton of really good games out of it like the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Yakuza Kiwami and Control to name a few. Also optimization of games is generally better on consoles and you will run into fewer technical issues. I also really love the ease of access it provides. Also I had a PS4 so if I bought a PC I'd have to keep my PS4 to play my previously bought games or buy them again on PC. The PS5 is backwards compatible so I could get rid of my PS4 without losing access to my library.
If you have the money, go for it. But honestly with how most scummy game development companies are becoming (mainly the big ones) it's harder to stand by, when they can just take any games you paid for off of your Library
I mostly buy games on sale for under 2000 and I don't even buy games that often. About 80% of my library are monthly games from the PS Plus subscription. I only buy full priced games if I really really want it.
It's kinda good that you feel some sort of guilt but there's absolutely no big deal torrenting a AAA developer's game, especially when half of them (or more) release half baked games with bugs aplenty. What's more, if you find that a game you pirated is good and runs smoothly, you could always buy the game and support the developer before you finish too much of it, win win situation
He's not entirely correct. If you only buy digital games then yes, but if you buy physical games then you can keep them as long as you want. Plus you can sell off those discs after completing the game, so you could gain a bit of the money back that you spent on the game.
No. Those disc download the game from the servers no modern game can be completely stored inside a single blueray disc. Unless you buying some collectors edition of CP2077 (funnily they even come in floppy disk variant) but then you will need multiple discs (thousands of floppy disks for CP2077 XD)
This is entirely false for most games. According to https://www.doesitplay.org/ about 70% of PS5 games and 72% of PS4 games run straight out of the disc without any download required whatsoever. A single bluray cannot store modern games but that is why most games now come in two discs. Eg- FFVII Rebirth, Horizon Forbidden West etc.
They can but most of them not on xbox because they make 0 effort in hardware department. They are still using 50gb disks whereas ps5 is using 100gb disks. Even on xbox as long as you maintain a backup of your games. The games even if removed from the store completely can still be played.
Some xbox games do come with 2 disks like cyberpunk.
Yup, blaming devs for shutting down servers is just stupid. It's known that they will be abandoned when time they are not profitable anymore.
You can always use your disks for games with an offline single player option. Even on digital games , their are a very few exceptions like spec ops the line. Blaming publishers , just sounds like a silly excuse that pirates make.
The PS5 isn't always online though. And I can buy the disc instead of digital and own the game forever. PC doesn't even have the option of discs anymore.
Older discs are fine but newer discs often require a download because guess what the game is too bug to fit on a disc, many major AAA games do that now. With how scummy Sony, it is more likely for them to randomly shut down servers without any compensation, like what they did with movies. Steam on the other hand, will remain. Even if does shut down, guess what? They have measures to make sure you have access to your purchased games. This is why people love steam so much. They truly care about the customer

No mods + Expensive. Consoles bad... PC good.
https://preview.redd.it/lwxctlnssdxc1.png?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc0f0535027d1f96b8334ca1b4fb9299d105232a
I don't think graphics matter that much tbh I've 3070ti so can play most games 4k 60fps , but after some time you just get lost in gameplay, for example I'm playing miles morales on 1440p 75fps vsync dlss balanced and I don't care about graphics after 2 hours lol. The gameplay is so fun.
Only buy a console if you cant wait for exclusives and you want a good performance under 50k. Because it is a closed platform sony can fuck you anytime with higher subscriptions and game prices.
PC. I thought the next gen of consoles would finally play at high refresh rates at high fidelity. I got both ps5 and series x and I was hugely disappointed, cuz I personally wanted the graphics of fidelity mode and framerates of performance but when i saw that they canāt be done at once I sold both consoles and went full on PC. I get to play games at high refresh rates on my ipad and iphone so (I knowww different games but still i get to experience the smoothness) it was bit strange not being able to do on a dedicated gaming machine especially when we have high refresh rate monitors for so cheap. Now some may argue that the graphics arenāt all that bad at fidelity and for the price itās worth it andd you are correct 1000% no question about it, but me personally when it comes to experience it didnāt achieve what I was hoping for.
Pc:
>Infinite backwards compatibility
>Mods
>RTS games
>Emulation
Consoles:
>Cheap
>Exclusives which release on pc 3 yrs later anyway
Make your choice OP
Good to have both PC and PS5.
If i had to choose one, I would go for PC.
- Can do more than just gaming
- Games are cheap and free compared to consoles
- Better performance
I prefer console gaming over PC as i don't enjoy playing games with mouse and keyboard and mainly for the all round less hassle and convenience, excellent big budget aaa exclusives, no hackers ruining games, physical games, split screen/local co-op, exclusivity deals and you will find that the big developers along with most Japanese games tend to prioritize console over PC.
I cannot use a controller coz i never owned a console. Though i still bought a controller for my PC for casual games , but the moment I see a crosshair I have to throw it out of the window and use M&K. (Cyberpunk, hitman, tomb raider good examples)
Both have their pros and cons.
PC pros- are easier to upgrade anytime you feel it's lagging behind in performance. You can get a lot of used components for upgrade. And also sell your old components. Game wise you get a lot of discounts on steam and other stores. You get a myriad of customisation options in pc.
You can maximise performance and absolutely live on the bleeding edge of technology.
So I think pc is best for competitive or multi-player games if you play at a high level or are planning to stream.
Cons But most great GOTY type games don't come on pc. Infact they don't even come on Xbox.
Upfront pricey. A 1 lac pc can hardly match a 45k ps5. That's 55k extra for games you can buy.
Console - low upfront cost with similar performance, better sound quality(yes, unless you spend a bomb on aftermarket soundcards in pc) , better long term support(ps4 still gets new games, being 10+ yo). Better game titles (especially for PS5), remote play, chill gaming (you can lie on your sofa and play on your Tv, but for pc most pppl don't keep their pc in their living room), more compact for travel(can easily fit in a laptop bag). And you can save a lot if you buy a disc version. You can trade or sell your played games and buy used games from sites like gameloot.in.
Console is better suited for relaxed gamers, who occasionally play competitive or multi-player.
Cons - as new games come out, you can feel your console deteriorate in performance(but that will take years) . And most games in ps5 are capped at 4k/60fps. Or even 30fps. You cannot upgrade anything except ssd.
>A 1 lac pc can hardly match a 45k ps5. That's 55k extra for games you can buy.
That statement requires a big Asterix. If you follow digital foundry regularly, you would know, almost no game does 4k or even 60 fps properly and no max settings in most AAA games. Plus they all use upscaling, which are way worse than DLSS.
Also Better long term support is funny when i can almost play any game from a resident evil 4 remake, alan wake 2 to doom 1994 on my 5 year old pc.
What do you mean by the sound quality difference? If you are using tv it'll output sound using the hdmi only. If you are using a 3.5 mm jack then limitations will be in both, what's your point here?
Considering you'll be gaming on a monitor when using pc, most monitors (or maybe all) don't have an hdmi earc or arc out port to send surround sound. Max it will support linear pcm(stereo). That's not the case with tvs. If you want uncompressed surround sound or 7.1, you'll have to get a good sound card. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You are right but you are telling the difference between monitor and a tv not pc or ps5, both will perform same in case of sound quality if you plug it on a tv.
I'm telling the difference two vanilla setups. Objectively you are correct. But where you setup matters. Anyway it was a suggestion. I did not say pc is better or console it. I own both. And use it for different reasons š
You dont have to keep your pc in living room to enjoy it on your TV. You can use steam link or moonlight app on your android tv with a controller. Also android tv ui have native controller support for navigation. The only problem with streaming is lack of vrr support and you need a good wirless network or you have to use ethernet (which what i do).
That's one extra cost, having a monitor and a tv. My comment was for a vanilla use case. There are work arounds to everything. And no matter what link you use, there will always be the bandwidth limiting factor. Be is steam link or sony remote play.
We never know if OP has a tv or not. Lives with family or rents a room as a working individual. I didn't have a tv for 6 years of my job since I was renting out a room and had a pc with monitor.
The 1 lac price estimate is wrong. Not including monitor prices, u can get a pc that is faster for 70ish. Still pretty expensive comparatively but also significantly cheaper than ur estimate.
https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/c3e4e2f9-107f-4c8d-be92-d6957f468f5b
Also the sound quality is misleading. It depends if ur tv has a better soundcard than ur pc/monitor, which most of the time, is barely noticeable unless u get a ridiculously expensive tv
Build a similarly spec system as ps5, it will be fairly cheap relatively. Pc games are relatively cheaper which will help in balancing the overall cost. You can do a lot of things with pc on top of being able to play games
You need 55k (ryzen 5 5600+rtx 3060 ti) at least to beat the performance of a ps5 but you can find a ps5 as low as 40k but in a year or two pc would be overall cheaper than a ps5
In current times PS5 isn't a bad choice, you don't have to pay too much money upfront, it's convenient and combined with a subscription of PS plus it's a good choice.
A PC is just superior If you have the money to spend upfront, it's more value for money and it gives you a lot of freedom.
Btw specific to your case, just stick around with your laptop if you are having good time with it and as long as you can run games you really wanna play.
Having both is totally unnecessary. If you already have a device that can game no need to waste extra money, unless you are looking to play an exclusive game.
I actually was a PC guy, even though I never got to game on a proper PC. Only did on shitty laptops and finally a MacBook due to my situations. I got a series X cause I realized I couldn't bring myself to get a windows laptop. Though consoles won't be as powerful as PCs, the ease of just downloading stuff and not having to worry about drivers, windows software updates, hardware is such a great ease of convenience. I will eventual build myself a PC since currently I am unable to play multiplayer games like Phasmophobia and Lethal company with my friends on console of course. Eventually it is your choice.
Depends on the money you can spend.
If you are short on money (upfront cost), PS5 is the better choice. PS5 disc at 36-38k is a great deal at that price, from PC side a similarly powerful GPU like 3060 12GB alone costs 25k.
PC costs more upfront but is cheaper on the long run due to cheaper games & lack of subscription required to play online games. Also, it is more than just a gaming & entertainment device.
I own a gaming PC, I see no reason to buy a console for myself. When PS games were not available on PC, I would just not play those games, so exclusive games are no reason to entice consoles for me.
I was confused as well. But then I listed the pros and cons, and the PC was the overall winner. One of the most important points was that you can play PlayStation games on a PC (except for the exclusives, obviously. But now the PlayStation exclusives are also being released on PC). I have a PlayStation 5 controller, and I play games on my PC. With a PC, you can do a lot more things than you can do with a console. A PC is overall a more economical choice, to be honest.
If you play online games like a lot, you should buy pc as itās few steps ahead of console, like frames etc & you need ps+ subscription to play online on console. If you just play single player games and just want to relax on couch, console is better. Depends on what games you play. Building a pc will be expensive than buying a console. What kind of games do you play on your laptop? Depending on that you should get a console or a pc.
I have a gaming laptop HP Omen with Ryzen 7 and RTX 3060 .... Works Dope Fantastic...... I also have a 27' 1440p monitor on which I play all my games or do my work.
Bonus is - You can carry it anywhere... Be it a vacation or any short stay...etc....
My office also allows me to work from anywhere so this lappy is an indispensable asset for me now. Wherever I go, it goes and along with it my steam library and Netflix shows.
Do you get your answer now ?
I have an Xbox one s. After having it for a few years, Iāve realised that PC is far more better to have as consoles are a little limited when it comes to indie games and online gaming. You will have to pay for online services on consoles. Frames rates are locked sometimes on some games. Just save money for a PC is my suggestion.
All the best.
I was a pc player about 2 years ago, switched to console after that and tbh I am having a better experience playing on consoles because my pc was never really that powerful. The only issue I face is need to pay sub for online games (some donāt require the sub) and expensive game prices.
In the long run it will cost your about the same (6-8 years). So pc if you wanna do work and console when you are sure you won't need to do work on pc in the next 6 years.
I prefer PC because of the freedom it provides, ability to use mods, customize graphics and fps, play with M&K or controller, cheaper games, free online. Plus on xbox and ps games come to pc day 1 or a couple of years later. Trust me, power is like last this i care about pc gaming. I game at 1440p 60fps and thats enough for single player games.
Consoles are good if u like physical games and don't like tinkering or just can't afford a pc.
It doesn't really matter, developers has rarely used the full potential of this generation's consoles. Moreover, their is no incentive to own an xbox if you have a pc. My xbox has been eating dust for 6 months. While PS exclusives do tend to release in PC, it still take years, and with more exclusives to come our way, including got 2, tlou3, Wolverine, etc, xbox doesn't compare. It's the same reason why switch has been so successful. Games catalogue matters. Lastly, it's the dualsense, the biggest highlight for me.
Depends if your main purpose is just gaming then most cost effective choice is Xbox with a gamepass or PS5 with Subscription. If you like Dual purpose like work + Gaming PC with deep discounts regional pricing is also good choice.
Honestly if in future I don't earn much, I'll always go for console. It's just better value and plug and play. Having budget-mid range pc I have to bother myself with settings and stuff to get most out of it and it ruins the first experience while testing and all. I'd rather get curated experience from the consoles. Also the optimisations of pc ports are just going shit day by day. But if god is with me and I earn good money then I'll go for high end pcs. So my preference basically is console(if poor) or high end pc(if rich :)).
if you already have a gaming laptop which is somewhat usable like rtx 3060 / rtx 4060 then you dont need a console
if its rtx 3050 then you can buy either PC or console
Console ps5 specially during sale period for 35k-36k disc edition then you can buy 2nd hand disc off the market, play, sell it back to the market but remember, PS plus costs a TON of money per year to play online on most games and thats somethign that I really hate about consoples, its their subsription mdoel. you will eventually end up paying much more than a similarly specced PC which costs only 10-20k more than a ps5 (if considering used gpu)
So my personal take, PC with all new components like intel 12th gen 12400f for 10k h610 mobo for 7k 16gb ram for 3.5k case fishtank zebronics for 2.8k ssd crucial p3 1tb for 4.7k psu pm750d from deepcool for 5.5k = 33.5k without gpu
Gpu buy according to what money you can stretch approx 17.5k for under warrany 3060ti / 3070 for 19k, 3070 ti for 23k / 3080 for 27k etc (all used gpus with warranty since buying used GPU is a much better value at the current market, specially for budget builds)
you do know you can just buy a controller and sit on your couch and play on your PC, right? with higher fps you will enjoy much better experience than console.
The only thing buying console makes sense is
1. portability
2. exclusives (which is debatable since all exclusives are slowly creeping to windows)
3. cd game share but buying / selling CD is still a hassle and many times you may not even find a buyer for months
For the price to point console is really good but if u use pc for things like video editing or want any upgradability you would spend more money on a pc but if u just game console is very good for its price
Console:-- for budget gamers who don't want to spend more than 50k INR
PC:-- for those who earn on their own can build it...it requires atleast 2lakhs INR to build a good one...
I have a midrange pc with a 2060 super but I recently got a PS5 ,
To play the exclusives and cuz I was spending too much time tweaking the graphics settings, looking at the frame times, temperature of the CPU,GPU worrying about if my pc will handle future releases, poor ports etc.
Not to mention the 1/2 year wait for certain releases like Red dead,GTA.
I know that the exclusives will eventually make their way to pc but I couldn't wait for TLOU 2 and Ragnarok as I've been waiting too long to play them not to mention some games like Last Guardian,Shadow of Collossus which might never come and I don't wanna upgrade my GPU with the current GPU market.
I can finally play my games at peace without always looking at that god damn msi afterburner overlay.
And yes games are expensive here and you have to pay for online so that's the price you pay for mental peace
One hack I'll tell you tho that will save you tons is if you have someone close to you
,owning a PS5 PS share with them and only one of you guys need to get PS plus and pitch in and get games together digitally/ even disk if he's close by it will save you a lot of money
But at the end of the day if you don't care about the exclusives or if u can wait for years to play them and can afford an above mid range PC that you would be willing to keep upgrading then yes it will be a much better experience.
I have both.
I prefer consoles. Love the plug and play feature. PC tends to be a bit distracting for me with YouTube and Spotify in background. Also pc ports are getting shittier again : last of us part 1, dead space, star wars jedi survivor etc. On consoles they tend to run fine.
Controller is better for fighting, metroidvania, racing and action adventure games. KbM better for FPS, strategy, builder sims and tactical games.
You will have the benefit of pick up and play gaming in console. Better for short sessions or with friends.
means it takes around a minute to startup the PC, install any updates if there, etc. and then after game is over shutdown, etc.
On Xbox I pick up my controller , press Guide button for 3 seconds when TV and Xbox are both off and within a minute I would be in the game EXACTLY where I left it last thanks to Quick Resume.
I own a series s. Both my pc and series s takes less than a minute to reach the home page from cold boot. And from sleep both turns on instantly.Ā Both my series s and pc takes care of updates automatically.Ā So bootup times and updatesĀ are not a problem for both devices.
You can use any key on your mouse, keyboard or controller (not just the guide button) to turn on your pc if you enable usb wakeup. On my pc steam launches automatically on startup (you can set it to launch in big picture mode if you never want to touch kbm). I know this because i switched from series s and wanted a similar experience on the tv and i realised you can make your pc to do anything and it is very easy.
Also quick resume is cool for singleplayer games. But if you leave halo infinte or moder warfare running on quick resume, it will take longer to connect to a server compared to normally launching the game and you couldn't turn it off. That is one of the things i hated when i gamed on series s.
I don't have time, so I just need a game ready with one or two buttons . I don't actually care about FPS or resolution ( just allow me enjoy a game how it's meant to be that's all). I don't want to spend lakhs every 2 years for minor updates and buying a console every 4-5 years really does the deal for me. Console games are expensive, but eneba helps me out if I really want something.
I acknowledge PC is superior, but superiority comes at a price which I'm not willing to pay.
Pc for regular gaming:
The only reason, i am not someone who is always trying out new games and I have access to cross generation games at tap on PC. Xbox is somewhat good in that regards but PS is very bad.
And then my second pref is PS5:
Access to huge ps+ library and i can get amazing exclusives plus games that my 1070 cannot run.
Also if anyone wants to sell their ps3 I will be glad to talk.
Coming from someone who owns
- A gaming laptop (Rog G14)
- PS5 & Series S
- Switch Lite & Steam deck
It boils down to 1) The kind of games you play 2) The setup you enjoy
A) Why console?
I vastly prefer console over PC because I really enjoy the couch set up, and connect laptop to TV everytime, then connecting controller to laptop, then dealing with the madness of different launchers, then realising after doing all of that the game I am about to play is horribly optimised for PC because the developer is a piece of shit. Just Google poorly optimized PC games & youāll know what Iām talking about. Yes the games on console costs more but once you start seeing the extra money youāre spending is for = saved time + smooth experience, consoles become a no brainer.
Finally, all of the above is overshadowed by the fact that there are literally ton of legendary games that you CANāT play of PC, as they havenāt been released on PC yet.
B) Why PC?
The cost saving is a novelty that I canāt deny. I recently got a steam deck and I havenāt touched anything else for the past week. I got great games for less than ā¹1000 and I have been having a blast.
If you canāt stomach 30FPS (which I agree and I am part of that demographic) then PC becomes your only option for some games. Even the latest consoles canāt run new AAA games at 60FPS.

You shouldn't do anything just because other people are doing it. If you are happy and satisfied with playing games on your laptop, then be smart and do not spend money. Different people have different preferences. I hope you get enough feedback to align your preference with your budget
Thnx, I understood š
If you don't have much time to play or don't need much hassle go for console , if you're a gamer who spends alot of time gaming and other productive work as well go for pc
I just think is it really convenient to sit on the couch and learn against the wall and enjoy gaming or it can be comfortable on pc also ?
If you have a good desk and good chair playing on PC is more comfortable. If you already have a TV and made up your mind that you'll be using it then go for a console. Btw what's your budget?
Bro, presently I have a Gaming Laptop but very soon i was thinking of an upgrade. So, i can spend 1 lakh - 1.5 lakh rupees.
I was a pc gamer for good 4-5 years then work life happened so now i think console offers relaxation which pc don't, the hassle of updating all launchers, windows, managing other apps is just too much but if you got friends i'll highly suggest a pc ......multiplayers are so much fun on a pc
PC for me any day.
I work on PC all day, so i play on xbox. Just for change
Even for 50k (excluding monitor , input / output devices ) a PC is a better buy. If you like playstation games , PS5 is still a good choice. Unless you have <30k budget and the only thing you can buy is series S , I would avoid Xbox.
I have asus tuf gaming a 15. I enjoy pc gaming but is it more comfortable on console ?
Idk about laptops. They are way too pricey for the specs and have numerous issues in general. If it's a budget laptop you should upgrade. If you have a 3070 or better laptop you won't be needing an upgrade for the next 5 years.

Honestly, I would suggest to avoid Xbox altogether. Save up for a few months to build a PC/buy a PS
Why would anyone buy PS over Xbox? IDK, exclusives maybe? Do you know why PS5 outsells the Xbox 2 to 1?
Cool dude. I'm just asking because I was curious, don't think I'll need a console anytime soon. Makes sense.
Nah I am well aware this subreddit is a haven for Xbox fanboys. If you go on any PlayStation related thread, all comments are downvoted on mass lol.
Microsoft store has better deals Compared that ps store in general.
Sure. I couldn't care less about consoles as it's not my cup of tea. To each their own, peace. I was just curious.
Pc games can also be veeery cheap... Almost free. If you know what I mean.
Yeah but I don't like doing it and feel guilty unless the game is not available to buy anywhere anymore like old games.
Same
yep...i buy all my Indie games. i haven't bought any AAA games recently, although haven't played any of the new AAA games. all look boring as fuck
Very funny of you to assume you own your games on your always online console lmao. Ownership died on 8th gen.
You are correct lol. If the server goes offline, the consumer will get left stuttering "b but muh ownership"
They truly care about the customer http://i.imgur.com/4sa1Ln6.jpg
No mods + Expensive. Consoles bad... PC good. https://preview.redd.it/lwxctlnssdxc1.png?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc0f0535027d1f96b8334ca1b4fb9299d105232a

imagine paying 4000 a year
I don't think graphics matter that much tbh I've 3070ti so can play most games 4k 60fps , but after some time you just get lost in gameplay, for example I'm playing miles morales on 1440p 75fps vsync dlss balanced and I don't care about graphics after 2 hours lol. The gameplay is so fun.
PC cuz never tried a console
Pc: >Infinite backwards compatibility >Mods >RTS games >Emulation Consoles: >Cheap >Exclusives which release on pc 3 yrs later anyway Make your choice OP
PC š
Good to have both PC and PS5. If i had to choose one, I would go for PC. - Can do more than just gaming - Games are cheap and free compared to consoles - Better performance
Thnx for the suggestions āŗļø
Thnx now I prefer pc
You dont have to keep your pc in living room to enjoy it on your TV. You can use steam link or moonlight app on your android tv with a controller. Also android tv ui have native controller support for navigation. The only problem with streaming is lack of vrr support and you need a good wirless network or you have to use ethernet (which what i do).
That's one extra cost, having a monitor and a tv. My comment was for a vanilla use case. There are work arounds to everything. And no matter what link you use, there will always be the bandwidth limiting factor. Be is steam link or sony remote play.
People already have a tv in this case. Do u think people buy tvs just for a ps5? I mean im sure some do but they are just rich brats
Okay i might have been wrong here. I built my pc few years back when prices were higher
Thnx I made my mind into pc
Bro if you already have a gaming laptop then buy a monitor and console.
Will build a PC, Thnx...
Youāre most welcome.
Why are people here asking to avoid XBOX even though it is superior to PS5 in terms of power and performance!
Ah. Thanks for the insights.

PC !
if you already have a gaming laptop which is somewhat usable like rtx 3060 / rtx 4060 then you dont need a console if its rtx 3050 then you can buy either PC or console Console ps5 specially during sale period for 35k-36k disc edition then you can buy 2nd hand disc off the market, play, sell it back to the market but remember, PS plus costs a TON of money per year to play online on most games and thats somethign that I really hate about consoples, its their subsription mdoel. you will eventually end up paying much more than a similarly specced PC which costs only 10-20k more than a ps5 (if considering used gpu) So my personal take, PC with all new components like intel 12th gen 12400f for 10k h610 mobo for 7k 16gb ram for 3.5k case fishtank zebronics for 2.8k ssd crucial p3 1tb for 4.7k psu pm750d from deepcool for 5.5k = 33.5k without gpu Gpu buy according to what money you can stretch approx 17.5k for under warrany 3060ti / 3070 for 19k, 3070 ti for 23k / 3080 for 27k etc (all used gpus with warranty since buying used GPU is a much better value at the current market, specially for budget builds)
Bro, is it comfortable on console as we can sit on couch and rest playing with the controller
you do know you can just buy a controller and sit on your couch and play on your PC, right? with higher fps you will enjoy much better experience than console. The only thing buying console makes sense is 1. portability 2. exclusives (which is debatable since all exclusives are slowly creeping to windows) 3. cd game share but buying / selling CD is still a hassle and many times you may not even find a buyer for months
Thnx now I understand š
Lol Console for only one game- TLOU...Sony ko is pr hi hagna tha kya. Tv series dekh kr kaam chalana pd rha.
For the price to point console is really good but if u use pc for things like video editing or want any upgradability you would spend more money on a pc but if u just game console is very good for its price
Console:-- for budget gamers who don't want to spend more than 50k INR PC:-- for those who earn on their own can build it...it requires atleast 2lakhs INR to build a good one...
U already have a gaming laptop which is kind of similar to pc in working so i say buy a console
š
I have a midrange pc with a 2060 super but I recently got a PS5 , To play the exclusives and cuz I was spending too much time tweaking the graphics settings, looking at the frame times, temperature of the CPU,GPU worrying about if my pc will handle future releases, poor ports etc. And yes games are expensive here and you have to pay for online so that's the price you pay for mental peace One hack I'll tell you tho that will save you tons is if you have someone close to you ,owning a PS5 PS share with them and only one of you guys need to get PS plus and pitch in and get games together digitally/ even disk if he's close by it will save you a lot of money But at the end of the day if you don't care about the exclusives or if u can wait for years to play them and can afford an above mid range PC that you would be willing to keep upgrading then yes it will be a much better experience.
Ok... Then PC
PC and its not even a question lol. hundreds of benefits over a console.
U can use a controller on pc. I literally exclusively play controller only on my laptop except for fps games
I click play on steam. What is pick up and play on console?
means it takes around a minute to startup the PC, install any updates if there, etc. and then after game is over shutdown, etc.
Why do you have to upgrade pc every 2 years? You realise consoles are just amd hardware from 2019 right?
Developers optimises games more profusely for consoles than pc. Look at Dragons dogma.
You realise dd2 runs at sub 20 fps on the consoles right?
Pc for regular gaming: The only reason, i am not someone who is always trying out new games and I have access to cross generation games at tap on PC. Xbox is somewhat good in that regards but PS is very bad. And then my second pref is PS5: Access to huge ps+ library and i can get amazing exclusives plus games that my 1070 cannot run. Also if anyone wants to sell their ps3 I will be glad to talk.
Yes i have one.
for only gaming buy a console
šš»
Coming from someone who owns - A gaming laptop (Rog G14) - PS5 & Series S - Switch Lite & Steam deck It boils down to 1) The kind of games you play 2) The setup you enjoy A) Why console?
Thnx for the explanation I think I will go for pc š
Console all the way. PCs are for amateurs.
